"Hah, so it seems!" Fawn replied vigorously to Clopin's reasoning on why they had to cooperate. It amused her to no end that beneath his quiet exterior, the man underneath apparently was also cynical of others. Fawn was going to prop herself up onto the vehicle, but she spotted three security vehicles coming from up ahead. The large car would not be a problem, but the two D-Wheels would, since they could easily weave in past the car pileup; she could easily see the openings. With no time left, she grabbed hold of Clopin's arm and launched herself onto the seat.

"TURN AROUND, NOW!"

Mao gave a laugh. "I like you, your like a sweet caramel. Anyway, here is our humble abode, it convenitly holds just about anything. Which room do you want? We have two left available. Anyway make yourself comfortable, defienitly grab ahold of something, this thing will be going at eighty and I am not in the mood for any comedic falling shenanigizing my badass ride until the clock reaches tomfoolery hour." Mao said, as he cracked his knuckles and prepared to start the engine. "Axel are you coming with us? It is very Mr Axel of you to forget and walk the entire way after all."

Keira cracked a smile as the child tumbled to the pavement, whimpering. "Oh, come on, Fimbl. That wasn't very nice..." she scolded mockingly, pocketing her small knife. She reeked of alcohol, and empty bottles tumbled off her as she rose unsteadily to her feet. In response to Amy's question, Keira growled.

"I'm just doing what I normally do after I lose. Take. Out..." She punctuated each word by throwing a bottle against the alley wall, which made a sickening, shattering noise.

... My. Anger!" Keira finished her tirade by glaring at the boy, who was nursing a badly skinned knee.

"Scram," she hissed at him, earning a squeak from the boy as he tried to scoot away from the crazy, drunk lady.

Turning back to Amy, Keira mumbled, "I guess Mulligan wants me back, huh?"

"When's the tourney start again?"

Clopin jumped at her yelling orders, and was about to make a sarcastic response, when he noticed why she wanted to leave. "Damn S-boys." Clopin revved up his D-Wheel, with tires squeeling, and spun them around. "Hang on-!" Clopin bolted down the highway at top speed, dodging cars left and right.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw two Security Officers on their own D-Wheels, slowly, but gaining on them. "I probably won't be able to shake those two on D-Wheels," Clopin said over the mic to Fawn, "So just be ready to duel, if we need to." although Clopin had a few tricks he had on his D-Wheel that could easily take out the two pursuing officers by force, he wouldn't want to risk them identifying Fawn.

Luckly for the young delivery boy the bridge to Neo Domino was traffic free, allowing him to quickly glide to the other side without much trouble. //At least something worked out, as long as nothing else goes wrong I should be able to make it back to the card shop with plenty of time to spare.// Turning off the bridge onto a near by side road Matt had started to see the store in site, causing him to pick up speed so he could get there sooner. //There is still one issue though, I'm still teamless and I will need a team soon if I'm going to make good on this invite...//

As Clopin sped down the highway, Fawn could hear screams of anger. It was expected, after all, this was not a duel, and they were riding *very* recklessly. It didn't help that she was uncomfortable with being a mere passenger in any vehicle, though at least this time she had the option to jump off if things turned sour. And it soon would, with Security gaining speed on them. She glanced around and spotted an off ramp to an area she knew well; she had to clean out a bunch of no-good duel gangsters from there once.

Just as Fawn noticed a path, one of the officers pressed a button on his D-Wheel, activating Speed World 2. Fawn heard that ever familiar mechanical voice signaling the start of a Turbo Duel come from her Duel Disk, which confused her to no end. "How'd they do that?! It's not attached to a D-Wheel!" Fawn yelled as her disk activated to turbo duel. "Tch!" Instead of complaining more, she drew her five cards. "I guess we have to do this..."

Before Keira had asked Amy a question, Amy and Krus only looked and watch the young boy run away like they were chasing him. "Aw. You should've let him stay. We could've played with him and that knife a bit." Amy said, with a evil grin. Unlike how Keira told the boy to scram, Amy would've just tortured him until he screamed "Uncle!". "Screw Mulligan and the tournament. I wanna know if you're alright first." Amy replied to her questions, worried about her friend. Krus was just still watching the boy run away.

Once around the corner, the boy breathed a sigh of relief. So that's Team Negative Divinity... he thought, panting a bit. He was a lucky escapee, indeed.

"Pfft. That worm isn't worth your time, Fimbl," Keira said dismissively, turning to face her teammate. Ah, well. Maybe she could have thrown Amy a bone and kept the kid around. A chance to torment a scared little victim made Amy happier than a child on Christmas morning. Keira smiled wryly at her thoughts and took out her knife again. "Besides, Fimbl, you know this knife is only for self-defense," she whispered innocently. She quickly pocketed it again, staggering around a bit in the process.

"Why wouldn't I be all right?" the white-haired duelist snapped defensively. "You know I can drink much more."

"I just needed to vent, and I was doing just fine until you came along."

Reeking of sake, Keira walked over unsteadily to Amy and started back toward the hideout, burping periodically. "Aren't you coming, dolt? I need somebody to back me up when Black finds out that I've spent all his money."

Chuckling, the silver-haired woman threw Johnny's empty wallet on the ground. He could always buy a new one.

"Self-Defense. Of course. And Krus' smart. Wanna tell me something else?" Amy responded to her whispering about her knife. While using Krus' intelligence to compare it to the statement, which she knew was a lie. Krus, of course, paid no attention and didn't even hear Amy. She was still watching everything outside of the alley.

"That's not what I meant." She replied to Keira's answer to her concern. But Amy knew that she wasn't going to get an answer she wanted. So she just left it at that. "Why do you need back up? Just throw your foot into his face. He'll shut up and be a good boy." Amy said, remembering her kick to Black's face earlier when he was going on about the team with Shadius. She wasn't afraid to kick Black just to shut him up this time either. She still had a good reason though. And that reason is: Keira's drinking problem.

"Krus. Stop staring at people and come on." Amy got Krus' attention and she flew back over to Amy's shoulder. They both followed Keira.

"Hn. I guess they upgraded their toys..." Clopin cursed under his breath, seeing as he failed to lose them quick enough. "I guess we'll do fine dueling together. You're a very tough duelist anyway." he thought of the both of them, an unusual tag team of course, their decks were nothing alike. But two great duelist could pull off a victory in this situation. That is, two great duelist.

"... A tag duel with her..." Clopin snapped back into reallity and focused on the duel. "W-Well! I guess if those idiots don't like to draw first, you should Miss Fawn." he said drawing then inserting his five cards into a slot next to the D-Wheel's handle bar. He was a bit nervous, not wanting to let Fawn down by losing, which would also get them arrested... Too much was riding on this one for him to slip up. Clopin assured himself he wouldn't lose to anyone. Except Fawn of course. "Alright, let's see how this goes..."

Fawn nodded at Clopin, but before she was interrupted before she could draw. "Surrender peacefully!" It was one of the officers speaking through his D-Wheel's loudspeaker. "Or we will have to subdue you!" It certainly drew the attention of the other motorists, which didn't please Fawn one bit. I'm going to be a respected tutor, fools! Don't go making me a criminal here! Fawn thought, purposely ignoring the fact that for all intents and purposes, she was a criminal, with the way she was running from the law and all.

"Hell no!" Fawn yelled back, drawing her first card, and placed it in her hand. Turbo dueling without a D-Wheel's conveniences was difficult, but Fawn would make it work. After looking over her hand, she would have to figure out a way to make her hand work. It was one of the worse starting hands she drew, though at least she could still stall for time. For now, she'll work with Urgent Tuning, and Deadly Doppelganger.

"I set a card and play a monster facedown!" From what she saw, neither her nor Clopin's decks support Syncho monsters at all, but it makes for a nice bluff play. After this, I really have to take these cards out of the deck! As the card vanished from view, she noticed that her field was connected to Clopin's... probably due to the fact that they were on the same D-Wheel. Which puts them at quite the disadvantage, since they have to defeat two seperate Security officers.

The officer who told the two to surrender drew his card. "Resisting, huh. Too bad for you!" He said maliciously as he placed a facedown trap card onto the field. "And by revealing this Castle Defender to you, I can normal summon this card in defense position!"

A card featuring a burly armored mad appeared, and a blue Gate Blocker appeared, sporting its 2000 defense points. "I end my turn!"

Fawn grit her teeth. "Why are they even allowed to use that card?!" she complained to no one in particular. Playing with only 2 speed counters will be tough, and the only way to free themselves would be to get rid of that Gate Blocker. Once again facing forward, she waited for Clopin to make his move.

"You damn Security have no originality! All you idiots use that same stupid card!" Clopin yelled out to the officers, annoyed not only by the monster but by the Security. He drew his sixth card and sneared, he had what he need to make quick work of these fools.

"So you've dueled us before huh?" the first Security officer asked with a smile, knowing he got some dirt on Clopin. Apparently, this officer was the only one who was going to be doing the talking. The other officer rode slightly behind him, not even wanting to utter a word.

Clopin realized that they got him, which made him even more frustrated. He was about to yell back that Fawn wasn't appart of it, but that wouldn't do much good and only bring about more problems. "Yeah I've dueled you screwheads before, not that you're any good!" after a few seconds he calmed down some, and focused on the duel. "Hm. Fawn set us out to a good defensive bluff... Must've not gotten any cards she needed." Clopin looked at his hand again, he couldn't ask for a better one.

"I activate Speed Spell - Double Summon to Special Summon Cloudian - Turbulence (ATK: 800) which gains one Fog Counter!" a gray tornado-like cloud with arms appeared beside their D-Wheel. "Then I activate my Cloudian's effect, by removing one Fog Counter, I can Special Summon one Cloudian - Smoke Ball (ATK: 200) from my Deck!" a small, harmless yellow cloud was blown onto the Field from within Turbulence, Clopin look at the cards he just summoned with a snear.

"Ha ha ha! A Cloudian deck? You've gotta be kidding me!" the officer laughed obnoxiously at Clopin, "And it looks like you're pretty happy with two weak monsters too!"

"I'm not done yet damn smallfry, now watch." Clopin said coldly to him, then the Smoke Ball and Fawn's facedown monster disappeared from beside their D-Wheel, and a larger, menacing cloud took their place. "I release Cloudian - Smoke Ball and my partner's Deadly Doppelganger to Advance Summon Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon (ATK: 3000)! All thanks to my Speed Spell." the gigantic violet cloud was much larger than Nimbusman and more intimidating. This was Clopin's grand master piece, a strait one-shot finisher. "Now I'll have my Eye of the Tyhoon attack your Gate Blocker!"

The officer went from histarical to stunned in a matter of seconds, "I-It doesn't matter, you'll only do 800 points of damage!"

"And that's where you're wrong, damn smallfry. My Cloudian has the wonderful effect that switches the position of all faceup monsters on the Field, except Cloudains, when it attacks." and just like that, the Security officer's wall switched to attack mode and was hit full force by the Cloudian. "And I think you know what happens next." Clopin's Turbulence turned into a small raging tornado and headed strait for the loud mouthed officer, knocking him out of the duel and causing his D-Wheel to shut down.

The other officer watched his partner get desimated in one turn and blew right past him. He looked a little frightened now, but still didn't say anything. "I-I'll draw..." he said then set a few cards on the Field. "I place one facedown monster and two others, then end my turn." now it was Fawn's turn, and Clopin couldn't help from smiling at the thought of what she thought of his move.

"Hahaha!" Fawn laughed, almost manically. "That was good, Clopin. Real good!" Fawn looked at the field. The two held a definite advantage, but the other guy has way too many facedown cards. Now calm, Fawn begun her turn, speaking in her normal voice. "It's my turn!"

Her hand still had no usuable monsters. Oh, there was Volcanic Queen, but one doesn't go and play that monster on its own without proper support. However, her latest draw will definitely clear the way to victory.

"Now that we can get speed counters again, I activate Speed Spell - Tribute to the Doomed, and discard Skill Successor to do so!" As she sent her trap card to the graveyard, the field responded by spawning an open coffin below the security officer's monster card. A mummified hand emerged from the dark void within and dragged the card down into the coffin, where it was sealed. This was the first step. As she could not attack with Clopin's monsters for some reason, all she could do was deal with the officer's facedown cards. "I set one trap card and end my turn."

Not long after she set her card, and before Clopin could draw a card, Fawn extended her hand out the side of the D-Wheel as her trap card rose. "I activate Trap Stun! This card negates the effects of all other trap cards.... *on the field*!" Fawn seemed to savor the moment she said those last three words. And since the other Security Officer was now gone... it was Clopin's turn again. "I leave the rest to you!" Fawn found herself saying. She could not believe she said those words, letting her victory ride on another person. Well, if he wins, I win as well, Fawn thought to herself, rationalizing her words.

Fawn's compliments struck right through Clopin like lightening, plus her flawless play, he was revved up now. He also found it slightly funny how she said 'on the field', but back to the duel, he knew this was the final strike. "Jeez, these guys stand no chance against us." Clopin drew the final card of the duel, it wouldn't have helped much, but it didn't matter. "I will remove from play Skill Successor to increase my Cloudian - Eye of the Typhoon's ATK to 3800, so I'll attack you directly with both of my monsters!" and with that a boosted up Eye of the Typhoon and Turbulence blasted the remaining officer's Life Points away, resulting in his D-Wheel shutting down.

Clopin hit the throtle and laughed, he never had such a quick duel against the Security. After a few mintues of riding Clopin spoke up, "Well, thanks for your help." he said to Fawn, although the duel was pretty fast, he saw a potential ally with her. And hopefully Fawn would see him the same way. "Let's see if we can't finally talk now..."

//Oh thank god I made it with five minutes to spare, maybe he'll give me a reward...// Placing his hand on the shop door Matt quickly pushed it in, causing the bell to emit its soft yet annoying tone. Behind the counter was a man in his mid fourties and in his hand was a deckbox and the cloth he was using to polish it.

"Welcome back kid, your early too. Did you get in on that team or was it already filled." The shop owner had thrown the deck box to Matt, it being caught in the younger man's hands. "Sorry it wasn't restored sooner, I worked with what I had to get the list done and I had to order a few cards but it's all there."

Matt walked over to the counter and gave the man a white deck box, the extra he carried with him. "Thanks for letting me hold on to you gemknights while you fixed it up, as for the other team...." The young man sighed and let off a small shrug, he wasn't very happy that he wasted his time with a full team. "I played against one of their members with my defense deck, I beat him without issue but the team was full so I'm sorta out of luck there."

"Not a problem," Fawn replied. She had spent the last few minutes directing Clopin off the highway and down local streets; she was sure more Sector Security officers would be on their tail. She would like some time to relax... after all, she just got her first teammate for the tournament, with two more to go. And she needed to fix her deck. And she needed to get her D-Wheel repaired. As usual, Fawn worried about her mechanic selling her out, but her train of thought was broken as Clopin drove by a card shop.

"Hey, Clopin," she called out. "Circle around. There was a card shop there. We should hide out there for a few hours until Security gives up." Fawn didn't want to be on the road for longer than she had to because of the fact that Clopin's two-seater stood out like a sore thumb on the roads, especially with her riding on it. It looks like she's stuck walking until her own vehicle is repaired.

Clopin didn't mind riding around with Fawn, it was beginning to be even fun. But he was just as sure as Fawn that Sector Security would be after them, after all, they did beat two officers making fools of them with incredible ease. He knew it wouldn't be too easy to lose there trail. He occasionally would look back at Fawn, she seemed to be deep in thought.

Clopin nodded at Fawn's direction and pulled around again in front of the card shop. "I guess we could pick up a few new cards too." he stopped on one side of the road and got off, then turned to Fawn. "A-Also," Clopin said while helping her off of his D-Wheel, "am I apart of your Duel Gang? I'm not sure we ever established that..."

Fawn raised an eyebrow at Clopin's question. She never really thought of her loose associations as a 'duel gang', mostly she took on people who were having Duel Monsters related problems and helped them out. Clopin... seemed to be doing pretty well for himself, besides the random people out to kill him. Still, she wanted him to join her team, and although cynical, she really has no problems helping out people.

"Sure," she replied, now on the ground. This felt much better. At this point she went to her deck, found Urgent Tuning in the deck, and placed that card in her pocket. "Now we don't have to worry about that card anymore," Fawn said, smiling. She was really more relaxed on the ground. "Anyway, what did you want from me? I hope it doesn't have anything to do with those people who shot up my bike..."

Inside Clopin jumped for joy for being able to be apart of Fawn's team, but he stayed collected on the outside. It was as if a small weight was lifted from him, unknown to him why he felt like that in the first place, he began to wonder if he was really starting to like Fawn. Now Clopin moved to answer her question, "Y-You mean about dueling you in the first place?" he knew the answer about why some people wanted him dead, but wasn't sure if he could really trust Fawn with that. Yet.

"I was just out looking for a team to join for Kaiba Corp.'s tournament... But it seemed all the other people out here were just a bunch of losers or scammers. Except for you, of course." Clopin didn't expect to say the last part, but it just, came out. He didn't want to seem as if he was already trusting Fawn, not that it would be wrong to trust her though, he didn't want to look weak.

"There's no need to patronize me like that," Fawn said. "We're already teammates, right?" His words worried her a little, though. While she was happy that his goals coincided with hers, she could not shake the feeling that Clopin was hiding something, and would request her help later, for something potentially big. I guess I'll just play things out right now and listen to his story later, Fawn thought to herself.

"Anyway, let's get inside before someone spots us." Fawn said before walking inside the card shop. The chime the door triggered wasn't *loud* per say... it just got your attention. It almost made Fawn jump. She had to remind herself that it was just a door chime.

Inside were two men: one was older and stood behind the counter, and the other was younger and was holding a deck box. As usual, Fawn went right to the display cases, only giving a small nod and wave to the other two there. "Don't mind me, just browsing right now," Fawn said, not wanting to distract the two from whatever they were doing.

Clopin hated that he couldn't say anything at the moment, but he knew it would be best if they built a trust between each other, for her to better understand. For now, Clopin followed in suit behind Fawn into the shop. Aside from the annoying ring from the door, there were only two others in the shop, but Clopin paid them no mind. "I doubt they sell Cloudians... Almost nobody does anymore." he thought as he stuck his hands into his pockets, looking around the shelves, as Fawn went to some display cases.

Clopin sighed, "I'm pretty sure I have every Psychic card I need too, but it wouldn't hurt to look I guess..." he took a glance a Fawn who was looking intently at the cards in the cases. He had some extra cash on him, which he wouldn't mind to use to pay for a couple of cards she wanted.
