AP's KC Grand Tourney: Duel Gangs [Acceptin, Started] (PG-17)

"Alright, my turn." Clopin closed his eyes and hoped for a card to use, he slowly drew a card from the deck and held it expressionless. "And because I drew a card, my [b]Solemn Wishes[/b] adds 500 to my Life Points." Clopin was thinking furiously of ways to use the card he held, calculating every move and counter attack.

"I activate [b]Speed Spell - Salvage[/b], as long as I have two or more Speed Counters, this card allows me to add two WATER monsters from my graveyard to my hand." An image of a whale with a crane on it's back appeared and pulled two monster cards from out of the ground, "[b]Cloudian - Sheep Cloud[/b] and [b]Cloudian - Poison Cloud[/b]." As soon as he activated the card, his poker face went away, now his moves could be predicted. But Clopin still wasn't ready to give up, the chance of a turnaround was extremely slim, but as long as he had a card, he couldn't stop. The Volcanic Queen looked to be fierce, and who knows what else Fawn had in reserve and if she drew a Speed Spell, all his tactics would be for nothing.

He smiled once more, "I'll set one monster facedown, and end my turn." wether or not it would be his last depended entirely on what card Fawn draws.

Axel sighed as he drew a card. "Okay, I'll set this card and place 1 Ranger Counter on my Evil Ranger Blue." The ghost gained a counter again. "Next, I'll switch him to to defense position." The blue ghost curled up into a ball. [i]"Great, I have pretty much nothing. I can attack with Prism Red but then I'll lose more Life Points..." [/i]Axel shook his head as the Red Super Hero-esque monster crossed it's arms over it's face. "I'll change Prism Ranger Red to defense position too. And now I"ll end my turn." Axel sighed as his turn ended. [i]"This better become useful." [/i]

[Aesirson]

"Scared?" Vector's victorious smile didn't disappear as he was about to draw a card. "My turn! Draw!" He drew the card, looked at it and smiled. "And now my Tomahawk Synchron in the Graveyard is Special Summoned, since I control a Tomahawk monster!"
The green indian-styled, mecha-looking warrior appeared again.
"The level total on my field is now ten, which makes me able to summon my ace monster!"

Vector pointed to the sky, and the storm clouds reappeared, even more furious then before. As Synchron and Shaman jumped into the air, it seemed as if their holograms were getting overloaded and they almost disappeared, but they still remained.
The Synchro Summoning was starting...

[Ice.]

"Yes! I chain that with Ranger Shockwave! When my opponent Synchro Summons with 2 synchro material monsters I get to inflict damage to your life points equal to the combined ATK of the monsters. I believe that's enough to defeat you!" As the Synchro Summoning was going on, a jolt of electricity flew towards Vector. "A Dark Hero never loses!" shouted Axel as his opponent's Life Points hit 0. "Aww, too bad. You lost. But, you're alright, so I guess you can join our group. But you don't get an autograph." Axel smirked as fixed his Deck and Duel Disk. He then turned around and walked towards the tour bus. [i]"And now our team is complete. Perfect!"[/i]

[Aesirson]

"OH MY *eff*ING GOD!!!" Vector was overdramatic and fell over and did a barrel roll on the ground when he was hit by the shockwave, reducing his life points to zero. He quickly arose from the ground and looked at Axel, his hair even more messier then before. "You are now my archrival, I will not stop until I have defeated you! I will join your group however, and when the time comes I will crush you!"

He ran up to his opponent and grabbed the burger on his head.
"And this is my burger now!" He said and took a bite from it.

Mulligan had been drifting off for a moment watching the man's duel [i]Well that guy seems to know his way around the cards. But Johnny's still got a lot too learn.. AH THE DUEL![/i] Mulligan turned to his opponent, a embarrassed look on his face. "Umm... sorry Ms. Aldergaard... I was just kinda.. I'll get on with my turn" He then drew a card and smiled again, maybe he would be able to keep his leader status for a while longer.

"I tribute my Lyla, to Tribute Summon Lightsworn Angel Celestia!" A blue haired winged woman appeared on Mulligan's side of the field, taking the place that Lyla once stood. "Now I use Celestia's ability! By sending a few cards from the top of my deck to the Graveyard I get to destroy up to two cards on the field!" The Angel waved her staff and five cards came out from Mulligan's deck, Celestia then pointed at Cyber Dragon and the set card on the opponents side of the field, as she pointed the five cards stabbed themselves into the two cards, destroying them along with the monsters.

"But I'm afraid I'm not done yet Missy, one of those cards were Wulf, The Lightsworn Beast!" A card that had impaled itself inside Cyber Dragon suddenly glowed brightly, a large wolf-like man with white fur then jumped out of the card, taking a battle stance.

"Now I'm afraid this is the end Ms. Aldergaard... Wulf, Celestia! Attack!" The wolf-man was first, rushing up to Keira and slashing at her with his claws, then the angel twirled her staff again and sent out a blast of light at Keira, demolishing the rest of her lifepoints.

"Nice deck you have there Aldergaard, though I do think it could use a tinkering."

Fawn was definitely impressed with Clopin, she could easily see the skill and technique behind each of his moves. "You dueled well," Fawn said, drawing her final card. It wasn't a speed spell - not like it mattered. "I use Remove Brainwashing as fuel to burn away the last of you lifepoints." Once again, Volcanic Queen flew past the card in the air, causing the ash and fire to fall upon Clopin, ending the Duel.

Fawn pulled her D-wheel to a halt off onto the highway's shoulder and waited for Clopin to follow after. She smiled while keeping her excitement bottled within. After all, she could not wait to work together with him in the tournament.

[Clair]

Keira was suddenly blasted back by a radiant light, as she could only watch with horror as her Life dropped to zero. Her Duel Disk shut off, but instead of looking down, Keira cracked a twisted smile.

Marching up to Mulligan, she grabbed him by the scruff of his neck. Her hot breath was filled with the odor of rice wine.

"You think that just because you've won, you think you can call yourself a leader? I [i]let[/i] you win, you worm!" Keira shoved Mulligan against the wall of the hideout, a wrathful expression on her face.

"Leave it to a team leader to use cheap Lightsworns..." she sang coldly, yanking her Deck from her Disk with one frenzied movement. She threw the empty Disk at Mulligan's stomach in a rage. The buzzing in her skull told Keira a headache was imminent.

Keira stomped out of the door, grabbing some of John's cash in the process. After all, someone needed to fund her drinking habit.

Coming out of the door, she noticed John, Amy, and some other guy standing outside. Well, save John. He was recovering from something, a large shoe mark on his face.

Keira snarled at all of them, making sure to tread slowly on John's stomach as she passed over him. She always felt murderous after a loss. No wonder she had quit dueling a long time ago...

Next stop, the bar.

Clopin sighed, [i]"Dammit. There's nothing I could have done..."[/i] he followed Fawn as she pulled onto the shoulder, and stopped behind her. "Well," Clopin started as he got off of his D-Wheel and walked to Fawn's, "I don't suspect I passed your test now." he said with a lighthearted smile while removing his helmet.

Suddenly the sound of tires screeching cut him off before he could say anything else. Clopin spun around to see a sleek black car charging down the highway, he noticed it before, but now he reconized the car. And it wasn't good. It was about twenty to fifteen feet away, and a chill ran down Clopin's spine, a barrel of a gun stuck out from the back passenger window. "Down!!" he yelled out and pushed Fawn's D-Wheel over, causing her to fall with it. A spray of gun fire whizzed by in the air where they once were standing.

[i]"How'd they find me here..?"[/i] The car kept speeding down the highway and near out of site, most likely not wanting to get anymore attention.

"That lil' Missy has got to learn how to control her temper!" Mulligan said, taking a wholehearty laugh before turning to the stranger, it seems that Johnny was still not taking the blow to the head very well. "Now, now Amythest, you know not to push around Johnny here, he's a little weak in the stomach this one is." He quickly checked him, nope he wasn't out, just a little damaged. "Now Amythest, who's your friend over there, heard he need to talk to me? Why don't you stop attacking poor Johnny here and go see where Ms. Aldergaard is going, I would hate to have her leave again, we just got four members. Just go talk to here alright?" Mulligan said, briefly rustling up Amy's hair before turning to the new man.

"Heard you wanted to meet me? Name's Mulligan, so what brings you here to our base sir?" Mulligan said, holding out his hand to the stranger.

Black stared like a child in trouble as the foot came at him. "Craaaaaaa-" He started to say, but was cut off by the kick. "Ow..." he moaned as she hit him repeatedly. When Mulligan came up, he started breathing 'thank you's under his breath. Then he heard Mulligan give his name. "Wait, I get hit for saying his name, but he can give it freely?!" He sapped, before backing up a bit, as not to get hit again. "Also, Mulligan, I'm not weak... hmph." He grumbled under his breath. "Well, Shadius, Matt, whatever, I told you nothing specific, now did I? Hm? I thought not, so shut yer trap."

[iCherry]

"...Quit callin' me Amethyst." Amy replied to Mulligan when he walked over to them all. "And that was before he walked up and did it." She replied to Black. She could've hit him again, but she decided to listen to Mulligan for once. Which was odd for her. She left Shadius, Mulligan, and Black to go get Keira. Krus flew out of her arms and in front of her face. "Do you think Keira is going to stab someone?" Krus asked. She knew how she felt murderous after losing. To be honest, Amy would've felt the exact same after a loss. "Hopefully." Amy answered her as she pushed Krus to her shoulder and Krus sat down on it.

[Guest]

Accepting the handshake and ignoring John's petty comebacks, Matt had taken out a small paper with some infomation for a new card shop. "You see, while I could of bought this up to Johnny here but I wanted to see one of the teams that was going to compete at the tournement, maybe even see if they were recruiting but it seems like your full. As for the card shop I have a part time job there while im in the area, it gives me cash for simple things and such." Noticing the actions of the team as a whole so far, Matt had noticed that they were quite aggressive compared to most people which was quite unusual for people who played a children's card game.

"What?"

Fawn was suddenly knocked over by her D-Wheel, and fell to the ground. She was about to yell at Clopin for suddenly pushing her and her vehicle down unprovoked, but she soon heard the reason why he did so. She heard what sounded like gunfire going over her head and ricocheting off the environment. When she looked up, the vehicles on the road had gone into a panic due to the sudden gunfire, stalling the traffic.

Fawn pulled herself from under her D-Wheel and brushed herself off, with some dust dispersing into the air. "I suppose I should thank you for saving me from that gunfire, but could you warn me next time?" She then looked down the road at the few cars that were able to escape the traffic block. Muttering a swear under her breath, she then turned to Clopin. "So, any idea exactly *what* happened back there?"

Clopin let out a lighthearted chuckle, "S-Sorry." he got up from the road and looked to see if Fawn was okay, "Those were just some people who want to kill me... Uh, no biggy." He walked over and carefully moved her D-Wheel upright and checked if there was any damage to it, unfortunately it seemed like a few stray bullets puntured the bottom side of her D-Wheel. Clopin stood up and turned to Fawn, but couldn't look her in the eyes, [i]"G-Gah, she's too cute..!"[/i] he settled with looking down and was slightly turning red.

"C-Crap. It, uh, seems like your D-Wheel took a few hits..." he said, then glanced back at his D-Wheel, which seemed unharmed.

"Just great..."

Clopin was right; her D-Wheel did take more than a few hits to the underside. Fawn couldn't see any internal damage from her angle, but when she tried to start the thing... nothing happened. Realizing what was going on, she took out a smartphone from her pocket and made a call.

".It's me, Fawn," she said on the phone, getting into a conversation with the person on the other side. "............I need a favor. I need you to pick up my D-Wheel and repair it................ Crazy guys came from nowhere and shot some holes in it.............................No, never.........................That deck?....................Okay, fine. You can keep that deck once the repairs are done, but those Synchro monsters are still mine......................I don't need it *now*..........As soon as possible..............no, you don't have to join if you don't want to.................... Okay, cool. Bye........." *beep*

"Well, someone's on the way up to pick this up, and-," Fawn began, but was cut off by sirens in the background. "Looks like Security is on their way." Stuffing her phone back into her pocket, she looked around, noticing that the people in the vehicles were getting nervous, since most of them had no idea what was going on. "For now, let's get out of here." Fawn didn't realize it, but she was already speaking as if Clopin already agreed to be her teammate, even though she didn't even ask him.

[Clair]

[i]I could have won, dammit! Stupid Mulligan, stupid Lightsworns, stupid team!...[/i]

Keira angrily threw her sake bottle against the alley wall, startling rats and roaches. She grinned as the rat's squeaking filled her ears. This was her home... the desolate alleys of Neo Domino City. It's where she had started out... after she had lost everything.

Keira was suddenly filled with anger. Her head jerked up when a yellow ball rolled up against her leg. A pair of eyes peeked around the corner nervously, belonging to a kid.

Keira hissed, pulling out her pocketknife and stabbing the ball with one swift thrust. The ball exploded with a sickening pop. "Get out!" she shouted to the child, who remained rooted to the spot, shaking with fright. Keira slowly got to her feet, her cold, red eyes trained on the boy...

She quickly glanced up, noticing Fimbl and Krus walking together, appearing to be looking for something.

The child took this rare opportunity and ran for it.

"Well I'll be sure to look into this card shop of yours, though we pretty much have our decks finished for the tournament!" He the toke the paper and placed it in his pocket, this man didn't seem rude, he liked that, but he seemed like he was hiding something, but then again, its not like he would tell everything to a couple of strangers, one of which just just walked out to go do something violent. "Anyways, pleased to meet you... Shadius was it? Anyways, do you need anything else? Because if you're lookin' for a team to join, I can't really assist you with that."

When the child took off, Amy tripped him on the way. She didn't bother to threaten him or anything, she just wanted to hurt him somehow before he was gone. Krus fluttered her wings a bit and flew just above Amy's shoulder as she began walking over to Keira. "And just what are you doing here?" Amy asked her, trying to start conversation instead of getting straight to the point. Krus' attention was located on the pocketknife. She was afraid that, instead of being swatted, she'd be stabbed if she said something.

[Nexev]

Mao chuckled "So we have all three huh? Our meal is now complete, let's serve our enemies a 6 course feast of pain! BOOM!" Mao took another burgers off Axel and devorued it with a single bite. "Enjoy your last supper, once we get your ride in the bus, helll will be the only highway you will ride on again. Look on the brightside, you look like a great mid-boss, maybe you'd get some fans after 'Makai Wars' hits theaters. But first things first."

Nexev lifted Vector's D-wheel and threw it carelessly into the garage section of the tour bus, making a resounding crash. "Oh well, it was sortof useless anyway, I'll fix it later. Now we are off to get some footage! You coming or are you going to walk it?"

[Aesirson]

Vector didn't care that Mao just threw the D-Wheel into the bus. He devoured the final bite of the burger and smiled.
"I'll join you!" He did a thumb up. "And I will help this team go all the way to success!"
He jumped into the van.
"Lucy! I'm hoooome~" He shouted and looked overly happy.

(I don't know what I'm referencing when Vector said "Lucy! I'm hoooome~", but O'Neill said it in an episode of Stargate SG-1 so I'm sure it's from some TV-show xD)

Clopin noticed when she made the call, it seemed like the person on the other side was already apart of her Duel Gang, maybe a mechanic? Clopin thought about calling his two friends, so to speak, for a nicer ride, but decided it best no to complicate things with them around... After a few seconds of hearing the sirens, he could barely see a few Security vehicles headed their way in the distance, and he didn't like it one bit. In fact, just the mere sight of a Security officer gets him ticked off. They need to leave and fast.

"Well, my D-Wheel's a two seater, I could get us out of here in a flash..." he said, then grabbed his helmet off of the ground. "I-If you would like to ride with me that is, and maybe talk more about your Duel Gang?" he gestured to his D-Wheel, hoping she would agree.

"Sure, just one moment, though." Fawn bent down next to the D-Wheel and detached her Duel Disk from it, placing it on her arm. After casting one last look at her D-Wheel, she walked back over to Clopin. "Looks like I'm counting on you this time." She hated to admit it, but she had to take Clopin up on his offer; she would be unable to get a ride until long after Security arrived, and explaining what happened would just cause further complications. "And no funny business, you hear?" she added afterward.

For now, she decided to use this event to her advantage. She would ride with him and watch his actions to see how worthy Clopin is to be her partner, or whether he would backstab her at his earliest convenience. After all, why should she settle for merely a good Duelist?

"Nope that's all, nice meeting you guys and I'll see you at the tournement and such." With a quick turn and the grabbing of his skateboard from his bag Matt was off, running out of the subway and jumping on his board as soon as he made it towards the exit, his next stop was returning to the card shop in Neo Domino and he was already running late. //The boss will probably yell at me, I was only suppose to drop off the flyer then shoot back this way. That duel while short took too much of my time and I still need to find a team...// Quickly taking a turn onto a near by bridge that lead to Neo Domino Matt had sighed, worrying that he would lose his job.

"W-What makes you think I would do anything funny?" Clopin asked as he walked back to his D-Wheel, started it then drove it to where Fawn was standing to get on. He pressed a few buttons, and another padded seat shifted from the back of the driver's seat into postion behind the driver's seat. Clopin could tell Fawn didn't trust him at all, but he knew a person like that is the best type of person to trust.

"I need you to guide me out of here, because I have no idea where this highway goes, and you need me to actually get you out of here. Quick, that is." Clopin said, not in a menacing way, but in a tone that neutral, so that they both could see how much they could trust each other. [i]"You could easily take me down a wrong turn to some of your buddies and get the jump on me, steal my cards and bike... But she's too cute to do that... Gah! Shut up!"[/i] Clopin ignored his thoughts, slipped on his helmet and switched the visor down, then extended a hand to help her on his D-Wheel.
