Black sat in the hideout, watching Mulligan as he did something that was getting on Black's nerves. "How did he become the leader, again? I like him and all... but he's too happy go lucky." Black sighed momentarily, and rather than berating Mulligan, like he normally would, he decided to go talk to Amy. "So, when's this tournament thing we are going to be a part of, hm? Also, do you know who we will be tagging with first in it? I'm hoping to get Mulligan, oddly enough." He looked over to the leader and shook his head once more. "He's too nice... but maybe I can use his cards, eh? Heh." Black leaned back against the wall behind him as his gang did whatever. "Maybe we should practice a bit? I'm bored, and dueling never hurt anyone.... except it has." Black chuckled remembering what his teammates could do.

"If they want to con the Dark Hero they'll face the wrath of the Dark Hero." Thought Axel as he reached into his pocket, pulling out his Cell Phone. "Time to do the most mature thing I can do right now..." He searched the the contacts, quickly finding something named "Prank #3/II". He pushed the call button and waited for somebody to pick up the phone. Eventually he heard a click and somebody was on the other end. "Hello, this is Industrial Illusions." Uttered the voice on the other line, it seemed to be a man. Axel smirked ask he took a deep breath and talked into the phone. "Is your refrigerator running?" Axel tried to prevent himself from laughing as he asked the question. "Feel the wrath of the Dark Hero!" Just then, it sounded as if the man on the other end took a sigh as he replied. "Axel, this is about the 20th time that you've prank phone-called us. We're sending you those two Synchro Monsters. Just be patient, jeez." Axel shook his head as he got ready for the punchline. "Well you better go catch it!" He then quickly hanged up the phone. "They think they can trick the Dark Hero like that. This is a conspiracy. They made that special deck for me but they won't send me one of the ace cards. They want me to lose the tournament so I won't become famous. Too bad you can never ke.." He then noticed he was talking out loud, and quickly shut up. Axel walked around his Team's Tour Bus, moving towards one of the couches. "I wonder how the director can use this as a Duel Runner."

"Someday I will win a great tournament and give my family, my tribe, the money they need to survive!" Vector looked up at the sky, raising his fist as a sign of victory. "And I will be the greatest duelist ever known! I will defeat anyone who comes into my path to victory, be it Chuck Norris himself!"
He then looked at his surroundings. Next to him stood a D-Wheel that looked like if it barely worked, but in fact it didn't. Except for that, Vector was in the middle of a desert wasteland, nothing other then sand and the half-a$$ed road that he was standing next to.

"But first I have to make my way out of this DAMN DESERT!" He yelled, obviously greatly annoyed at his not-so-very-well-working D-Wheel. Suddenly he heard that a vehicle was on it's way to the place where he was. He looked up and saw that a tour bus was on it's way and a smile spread on his face. He jumped onto the road, waved his hand and smiled.

"HI~"

Axel grabbed a piece of paper with writing on it and skimmed over it. "The director's work again." He then flipped the paper to see the flyer for the tournament. "Blah...blah...blah...wait, 4 members per team? When the hell was this?" Axel then smirked, as if he knew something that nobody else knew. "They're trying to prevent me from joining the tournament! But a Dark Hero always rises to the occasion!" He then turned around to look out the window, and conveniently saw somebody waving. "Must be my one of my fans! They must've known about this conspiracy and they want to help me!" Axel quickly ran up to the front of the tour bus and saw the director, sleeping. "Great." Axel muttered as he pushed the breaks. The bus stopped short and Axel fell down. Because he fell, his foot was removed from the breaks and the bus started moving again. Axel repeated this process about 4 more times, until he just put the director's Duel Disk on the breaks. He then shut off the van and slowly walked out of it. "Hello, glorious fan!" Announced Axel as he walked up to the man. You're probably here for an autograph and a chance to join my Duel Team for that ridiculous tournament, right? Well sure you can join! All you have to do is ask though."

"What the hell are you talking about!?" Vector expressed, not knowing what Axel was talking about. "I just want a ride to the closest city so that I can repair my D-Whee- Did you say tournament?"
Vector thought for a moment. Maybe the price money would be enough for my tribe?

"I mean YES!" He then said and smiled. "I'm here to join your team for the tournament!"

"Well, famous celebrities like me don't just pick random people out of the blue." Said Axel, acting oblivious as usual. "To see if you're good enough, you'll have to uhhh...err...Duel Me! Yeah, that's the term." Axel pulled out a "D" shaped object. He pushed a button and it opened up into a Purple and White Duel Disk. Axel pulled out his Deck and placed it in his Duel Disk. "Uhh, yeah. I need practice. If you win, you can join the Team, get that crap fixed and...get my autograph!" He smirked and moved back. "So, what do say?"

"AWRIGHT!" Vector held up his left hand, revealing a generic 5D's Duel Disk that looked scarred and old, but good to go. As it activated a clanky sound could be heard, and the lights on it barely lit up at all. Vecto was in dire need of a new Duel Disk.

"I guess since I am the challenged I should start!" Vector said, drawing five cards and then a sixth one. "And I will start my path of conquest by summoning Tomahawk Synchron!"

A small, robot-looking warrior wearing green armor and holding a big axe appeared. On his head he had a feathered headdress usually worn by Native American chieftains.

"I will also set these two cards face-down so that you cannot see them!"

Mao got out of his tour bus and looked around and sighed. "Axel, Darhling, we can't stay here and let you fight every single dood who crosses our way. This is like the fifth time, even the most exquisite meal goes bland when you over serve it, boom! " Mao then turned to the new guy Axel was dueling. "Hey dood, who the hell are you, we need to make the greatest movie of all time and your attempts at being a side character is hogging up the screen time!" Mao then sighed, "Whatever, it's not like Axel will even pay attention to this. I'll be making some grub, you can come if you want dood. Today looks like a good day for a cool Milkshake and some nice spicy burgers, deny and welcome the heat simutanuosly, like fried ice cream, boom!" Laughing Mao entered his bus to cook up some food.

"How the hell should I know?" Amy replied to Black's earlier question about the tournament. She was sitting on top of a table inside of the hideout with the rest of her team. She wanted the damn thing to start already too. Amy was dying to inflict some pain on some poor sap that just happened to be an contestant. "You know who I want to be partners with." She added. She then heard Black's suggestion for "Practice" and then his added note. "Don't blame me if you get hurt then." Amy warned him. She placed a light red-shaded colored Duel Disk on her right arm.

Axel smirked as grabbed the top card of his Deck. "Perfect! First, I use Evil Ranger - Pink's effect! By sending the top card of my Deck to the Graveyard I can Special Summon this card from my hand!" The top card of the Deck went to the Graveyard. Just then, a small, cat-like creature hopped onto the field. It was pink and it carried a large fish as a weapon. "Ahh, my Spell Card, Prism Rainbow got sent to the Graveyard. It's alright. A Dark Hero can always make it through! Next, I Normal Summon Prism Ranger - Blue!" Just then, a super hero-esque person popped out. It was in a blue suit with a black visor.

Evil Ranger - Pink - 4 Stars - 1900/1100, Prism Ranger - Blue - 4 Stars - 1700/1200.

"Now, with Pink's effect, it is treated that the continuous Spell Card, Magichange, is face-up on the field. But you don't have to worry about that, Prism Ranger - Blue, attack that monster!" Just then the Blue Suited monster rushed forward, preparing his fist. "This is going great."

Keira woke up in pain. Her head felt like someone had put a jackhammer to it, and her eyes burned. She buried her face in her futon cushion in an attempt to go back to sleep, but it was of no use. Amy was talking...

The white-haired woman lifted her head off the cushion and groaned loudly. "Shut up, Fumblveltr..."

She attempted to grip the sides of the futon to steady her stomach, knocking over an empty sake bottle in the process. That was right. She had been drinking last night... no different from any other night.

The hungover Keira Aldergaard slowly put her feet upon the cold ground of the hideout and winced, pushing strands of silvery hair out of his eyes. She heard the sounds of a Duel Disk being activated.

"It's too goddamn early to be dueling, you idiots," she hissed, throwing a glare at each of them. The effort behind the glare made her wince in pain.

"Sht..."

Keira began rummaging under the futon for more sake, grumbling to herself while shooting occasional glances at Amy. She would never admit it, but she had a soft spot for her "teammate".

Chuckling at the concept of teamwork, Keira fumbled with the cap of the drink bottle, ignoring the ringing in her ears.

Mulligan was just relaxing on his hammock, he liked it there even though he had a perfectly nice bed, he then got up. "Okay Team its a brand new day for Negative Divinity so remember! Have a good time!" Mulligan loved his teammates, every one of them, no matter if they were psychotic, murderous or just plain mean they had taken him in. He walked up to Black and Amy and gave them a massive bear hug of affection. "So, have you decided who you wanted to partner with? The Tournament is only so many days away!" He then turned to Keira. "Need any help Keira? You look a little damaged."

"It's never too early to make someone ble-" Before Amy finished her reply to the awakened Keira, she recieved the massive bear hug from their leader. To this, she nearly punched him into the wall, but she refrained from doing so. "...Did you just hug me? Why did you hug me?" Amy hated things like hugs. They were like signs of weaknesses, only worse. She turned away from Mulligan afterwards, back to Black. "Urgh. Let's start so I can block that out for the day."

Amy looked down at Keira for a minute, wondering how many bottles of sake she actually had yesterday. She could've broken her own record. Again.

Keira, her eyes squinted in concentration, popped the cap off the sake bottle and started to gulp its contents down greedily. "I'm not broken any more..." she whispered to Mulligan, cracking a mischievous half smile.

Keira smirked at Amy's opening remark to her. She and Amy really shared the same values...

She grimaced as Mulligan hugged Amy. For some reason she felt enraged that he would do such a thing. Cracking open another bottle of sake, her eyes seemed to shine a bit brighter.

"I could take anyone we face alone, but I guess my partner will be Fumblveltr..." she sighed, examining her black painted nails closely.

"If you don't want me to take back those cards, join my team in the tournament!" It was Fawn speaking. She was in the middle of a duel against a young man, fresh out of high school. She was standing confidently, even though she had one face down trap card and her opponent had two monsters and a trap.

"I said I...I can't!" The man replied, shaking nervously. "I have to... to head off to college!" He then surrendered the duel, pulled three cards from his deck, and tossed them to Fawn, who caught them with her free hand. "Thanks, but... I need to go!" With that said, the man ran off on his own.

"Hmph, at least he knows what he wants to do. That's some progress I guess." Fawn muttered to herself, confident it was her coaching that helped the man. "Well, that's the last good duelist that borrowed cards from me in this area..." Fawn shook her head, worried if someone would join her team unless they owed her something. Of course, she suddenly realized, I'll just have to beat them in a Duel! With that resolution in her mind, she walked over to her Duel Runner and took off into the streets, looking for potential teammates.

Clopin flew down the streets on his night-black D-Wheel, the lights of the street gleaming off of his black helmet. Clopin was out here for a reason, he was on the look out for a Duel Gang to join. Thinking it would be better to join one rather that to actually start one... But to no avial, the first few people he dueled had nothing to duel with the Gangs, which left him annoyed and drained. He blew past a couple of slower moving vehicles, and muttered, "Serriously, they have the speed limit way too low down here..." He neared dodged a very small car, which in turn honked at him. "Damn slowpoke."

Clopin spotted a D-Wheel among the traffic, then sighed. "... It would be a big coincidence, but..." After a second of deliberation, Clopin hit the throtle and weaved in and out of traffic to soon link up to the stranger's D-Wheel once close enough.

"Hey, I know it's a long shot, but are you running a Duel Gang by chance?" he spoke via video screen to the person. In a way, Clopin was glad his visor was down, in case he had to jet.

Someone's linking up to me? Fawn thought as her intercom flashed. With a press of a button, the person's face appeared on the screen. Or would have, if the man wasn't hiding his face behind his helmet. And with his appearance came a rather peculiar question: whether or not she was running a Duel Gang.

"You could say that," she replied, pulling back a bang which had fallen in front of her face. As she rode along she spotted the duelist who contacted her riding up beside her. "I'm not accepting any more students right now.... however..." Fawn paused, and took a glance at her deck snug in her duel disk. "Hear of the KC Grand Tourney?" If she was lucky, she could get this guy to join her team... assuming he was any good, at least.

"A girl?" Clopin thought, then broke from his train of thought to answer her. "Uh, yeah I've heard of the tournament." his finger twiched, although he was a bit drained, Clopin didn't mind for another, good, duel. He only had two Turbo Decks on him, and the girl looked confiedent, but it could be a ruse. Clopin was very interested. But he wasn't too sure of having a female leader, assuming of course, he met her dueling standards...

Clopin switched his visor up so he could see her clearly, and not to be rude. "Well, I'm Clopin (pronounced Clo-pair), I guess you want to duel miss..?" he let the question hang, hoping for her to supply a name...

Black chuckled. "Please, Amy, you, hurt me? Impossible. I'll beat you before you can count to three." As he spoke, he held up three fingers, and activated his disk. He was about to draw his starting hand when two interruptions occured: Keira's hungover complaints, and Mulligan's bear hug. Unlike before, Black would not let the bear hug stand. "Darn it, Mulligan! How many times have I told you that we are NOT happy go lucky?! NO HUGS!" He calmed himself, and turned to Keira. "Well, drunkard, we were just going to warm up. We were up as some of us don't love Rice wine. Some of us enjoy doing other things..." Black recalled his night, where he basically rode around, doing random acts of douchebaggery. "Anyways, I agree on blocking out Mulligan's hug.... Also, this tournament has us switching partners each round... so it is never a perfect matchup.... however.... we will always be on top." Black gave a cheshire grin as he spoke. "So, ladies first is it, Amy? Or do you not go by things like that?" The grin never moved, but he chuckled slightly. "Maybe we'll be able to get Keira out of her hgangover."

"Fawn Atkins," she said, replying to Clopin's introduction. "And you have the right idea. This place won't do, though. Let's head off someplace better for our duel."

Indeed, the area was for local traffic, and Fawn had to weave in between the cars, surely breaking multiple laws in the process. This mattered little to her right now, if she had to break a few laws to get what she wanted, so be it. She was considered a leader of a Duel Gang, after all, even if she disliked being put in the same category as those who merely wanted to expand their influence.

Fortunately, the highway was close by, where pesky cars would not interfere. "When you're ready," Fawn said into her intercom. She didn't sound like a member of a duel gang right now... she sounded more like someone tutoring another, helping them go at their own pace.

Let's see what you can do, Clopin.

"You guess? You make it sound like me being your partner would be a bad thing." Amy replied to Keira's response to the question about partners.

She then turned over to Black when he spoke up. "Impossible? What, did you forget who I was or something?" Amy asked him. Black knew what he was dealing when it came to her, but Amy wanted to make herself sound like she was the superior one. "Eh, I'll go first since you were so polite about it." She agreed to go first. She drew her starting hand and she grinned evilly at it. She obviously got a good hand. "I activate the Spell Card Dark World Dealings!" She declared, placing the spell in her Duel Disk. A large dark creatured formed itself behind her with it's arms open. It closed the gap between both of it's hands and a card appeared in between them. "We both draw a card, then discard one. But, I assume you were already smart enough to know that." The woman spoke in a somewhat mocking tone as a card in her hand disappeared into darkness and the card from the monster descended into her hand and the monster vanished.

"Oh, look. I discarded Goldd." She told him as a black portal opened up from the floor. "When Goldd, Wu-Lord Of Dark World is discarded by a card effect, he special summons himself to the field." Amy explained as Goldd's card appeared out of the empty slot in her Duel Disk. She placed it onto a monster zone as a golden demon with multiple horns floated out of the black portal with a large axe in his hands. Ghastly smoke was emitting from his mouth and arms.

"I set a card, and then I'm done."

"Miss Fawn, huh?"

After following her to the highway, breaking traffic laws in the process, which he didn't mind to do, he noted her tone of speech. "What's up with her? She's some kind of teacher?" He didn't see it as problem though, teacher or not, she's just a duelist. Clopin filled his lungs with air then exhaled, he pressed a few buttons on the screen and the Speed World card appeared.

There were a lot fewer vehicles on the highway, but this was a route Clopin was unfamilar with. Hopefully if he lost, she wouldn't leave him in the dust. But Fawn seemed like the type to probably do so... "Well then. Ladies first." He smiled.

Black smiled as he saw Dealings activae. "Not bad for me... not bad at all." He drew his card, immediately dropping it as he looked at it. "That would be Pot of Duality." He said with his usual grin. He waited for Amy's turn to end, and did not even react when she summoned Goldd, as he had expected it all along. "Huh? you done? Good." He said comically as Amy ended her turn. "Now, I draw." He looked at the card, and placed it in his had. It was nothing special. "First off, I summon Flare Resonator. Then, I remove the Pot of duality in my Grave from play, in order to Special Summon Spell Striker." The small, horned-helmet wearing warrior appeared on the field, next to the blazing fiend. "You can guess what comes next, right?" He said, smiling like a madman. "Synchro summon!" The two monsters werre sent to the grave, and a form emerged, gaining color shortly thereafter. "Goyo Guardian. Oh, and did I mention? He has 300 more attack than usual, for 3100. Goyo attacks your Goldd. And I end with 2 set cards."

"Well I just thought you guys needed some cheering up. Also Johnny! What did I tell you about calling me Mulligan! We're pals right? Call me Mull, I insist." Mulligan was never very upset about his friends talking to him like this. "So good luck Johnny, you guys just make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside." He then went next to his hammock and placed his own green duel disk on his arm, he was never really a mean person no, but he wouldn't mind a good fight or duel once in a while. Mulligan then toke a seat next to Keira and then said with a friendly demeanor "So how do you like the new base? I managed to get it off of a buddy I knew in the fighting buisness. One good thing about being a wrestler my sake-loving friend, you get too know a lot of people! Even in the Satellite!"

"Did he just scoff off Goldd? That little..." Amy was irritated at Black's blank reaction to Goldd's appearance. When Goyo Guardian appeared from Black's tuning of Spell Striker to Flare Resonator, she flinched a bit. "I'll be damned if I let you have it." Amy responded to Goyo's attack as she swung her arm without her Duel Disk out. "Trap activate! Waboku!" The face-down card on her field lifted itself up as three blue robed women appeared in front of Goldd. The woman in the center held up a small wand-like object that created a barrier in front of them and her monster. "No battle damage and no destruction by battle. So sorry, Black."

Amy briefly looked over at Mulligan, like he was some kind of idiot in her eyes. "Warm and fuzzy? What are you, nine?" She insulted, and then turned her attention back to the duel.

When Black finished his turn, she drew her next card. "Oh. Hilarious. I draw him now when he could've just come to my hand earlier..." Amy was glaring at the card she just recently drew. One would think that the monster would pop out and run in fear with the way she was glaring at it. "I summon Fabled Raven." A blue portal opened up in the space in front of her as a winged demon flew out beside her Goldd. "Now I'm tuning my level five Goldd to my level two Fabled Raven!" At her command, Fabled Raven vanished and two white orbs flew into the air. They came down as two green rings and Goldd jumped up to fly into them. Goldd's body became transparent as five orbs appeared inside of his body and his was engulfed in a pillar of light. "Synchro Summon! Lightning Warrior!" The yellow-haired warrior appeared from the light in white armor as he descended next to Amy.

"I end my turn." She couldn't do anything else. Goyo Guardian's attack power was 3100. Lightning Warrior's was only 2400.
