Dogs are always so loyal and nice, though (as long as you train them well).
In my experience with cats, they either sit across the room staring at you (which freaks me the hell out) or bite you.

That is true. Their stares are freaken creepy.
It seems like my neighbor's cats never blink.

Cats for sure.

That is only true with some dogs. I know quite a few that hardly ever barks...

Both, or neither. Why:Both are annoying, yet both can be fun and cute.
Cats:are nocternal, so their brakfast is your bedtime. They wake you up at night for no aparent reason. They like to go in and out.
Dogs:They beg for food. Its annoying that you have to eat while having a furry right next to your lap. They also don't have very good depth perception. If they they see something move, they try to get at it. Even if its just a shadow.
The good things:
Cats: Don't howl or bark at other animals. Exercise themselfs easily enough. Are small and won't get in the way of anything. Won't bother you. Just sleep most of the time.
Dogs: Protective. You can't get a cat to fight off a burgler.-_o You can also teach them really good tricks easier than you can cats.

You chose to get the animal, you made the commitment. So either it's all positive and you're ready for it, or you don't get the animal. Plain and simple. Ooh and apparently you don't know animals at all, you're falsely generalizing.

I didn't chose. My sister got a cat. then moved out and got a dog. leaving me with the cat. btw, im not generalizing at all. If anyone is, you are.
I take care of my cat, and my sister takes care of her dog. I'm not mean, but if I did chose, I would say that I wouldn't get any kind of pet.
It sounds like I hate animals, but its not true. I like animals alot.

I'm a dog person I think cats are nothing more than hairy demons! I mean if you go to pet one they hiss and scratch at you like just punched it in the gut and got it pissed off!
Cat's are just too bitchy!

Oh the irony.
