Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Welcome to my Fan-Fic thread where I shall post chapters of my Fan-Fic that I am currently calling "The Hearts of True Duelists". I'm starting it all off with a very old chapter that I wrote a year or 2 ago during summer. It's the second of the series, but I couldn't find the first chapter and I don't really feel like writing it all up when they're basically tales of random characters over time... Anyway, don't judge this on the first chapter. It's old and crappy. Instead, judge it by the second and so on! ((( At the end of chapters I may put in cards that were used ))) Sponsored By: Card Captor's Shop Anyway, Table Of Contents:Chapter 1: Page 1, Post 1.Chapter 2: Page 1, Post 1.Chapter 3: Page 1, Post 10.Chapter 4: Page 1, Post 11.Chapter 5: Page 1, Post 12.Chapter 6 Teaser: Page 1, Post 19 CHAPTER ONE The tale continues as the two hearts of the duelists meet up a week after each of their ordeals. Though the duelists themselves are not in the battle, their hearts affect their friends as they fight for a title. That title is Clan Master. John and the rest of his clan were awoken by the sound of animals outside of their tent. The Toon Clan was watching their daily cartoons in a nearby building. Each of then were very familiar with these elements in their day, and it seemed to make them stronger. The Beast Clan went out and watched the animals which turned out to be Raccoons, and gave them small portions of food. The Toon Team was working on their drawing and acrobat skills in the local gym. For now we take a look at the Beast Clan as they walk through the forest now, and see how they have been doing. [Grand]: Hey, John. Isn’t it your turn to duel this time? Have you been working out your deck? [John]: (a little bit stressed) Uhhhh… Welll… I actually forgot it was my time. The entire party stopped. Kat and Grand were staring at John with wide eyes.[John and Kat]: YOU WHAT?! John jumped a bit as they yelled at him and he rubbed his head thoughtfully. [John]: I didn’t think about it much. I was too worried about staying in the wars. Sorry, you guys. They all sighed and sat down on a nearby assortment of felled trees. John then took out his deck and looked at it. It seemed in order for the most part. The only problem was that it was really open to some sorts of decks. Grand and Kat looked at him with small frowns on their faces and they all sighed as they stood back up and started to walk to the designated duel grounds. They then heard the distinct sound of a Toon Duelists voice. [Jason]: Hello there, fellow duelists! Might one of you be the illustrious John?! Kat and Grand looked at John and John looked at them both in turn, rubbing the back of his head thoughtfully like before. Jason looked at the man with a seemingly plastic smile.[Jason]: Alright then! Are you ready to duel, John? Jason’s multicolored duel disk flew open and shined. John stepped away from the group and opened his dark brown duel disk. Instantly cards flew out of the decks; 5 cards for John and 6 for Jason. They both looked at the cards and then Jason made his move. [Jason]: I activate “Toon Table of Contents” and add “Toon Gemini Elf” to my hand. I then summon her in attack position and set a card face-down. Your turn!Toon Gemini Elf: ATK/1900 John looked at the cartooned monster in front of him. It was so unrealistic, unlike beasts and animals. He drew his card and looked it over. He then made his first move. [John]: I summon “Berserk Gorilla” in attack position. Then he will attack your Gemini Elf!Berserk Gorilla: ATK/2000 [Jason]: I’ll activate my “Toon Retrieval” card to re-summon my Gemini after she’s destroyed! Jason’s LPS: 3900 [John]: Then I’ll set a card face-down and end my turn. Your turn! Jason drew a card from his deck and smirked, giving a small clown laugh.[Jason]: I activate Graceful Charity and draw 3 cards from my deck. Then I discard 2 “Dark Magicians” from my deck and tribute my Gemini Elf for “Toon Dark Magician Girl”. Attack, my friend!Toon Dark Magician Girl: ATK/2600 John’s LPS: 3400 John cringed and drew a card from his deck. He then activated a card from his hand, “Earthquake”. The girl in the pink and blue clothes fell into defense position as the earth shook. She dusted herself off. [John]: I now summon the “Enraged Battle Ox” and equip him with the “Axe of Despair”, making him a formidable monster! Attack his Magician!Enraged Battle Ox: ATK/2700 The armored beast with a dark axe jumped at the girl and struck her, making her explode into thousands of pieces. Jason winced and looked away, frowning. Jason’s LPS: 2900 [John]: Then I’ll end my turn. Jason drew a card from his deck and looked at his cards, seeming to get a bit angry. [Jason]: I set 2 cards face-down and set a monster. It’s your turn, John. John drew his card and then forced his beast to attack his opponent’s face-down monster. As the snorting Ox swung his sword down the card glowed and a hand appeared on top of the card. Jason had activated his trap card. [Jason]: With my “Toon Playfulness” card, your monsters lose special abilities while attacking my face-down Toons. And even though I still lose my poor “Toon Huntress” her effect activates! Your monster is destroyed because he destroyed her. Then we both gain 500 lifepoints! Jason’s LPS: 4400John’s LPS: 3400 John ended his turn and Jason drew. He laughed a little bit and played Toon World at the cost of 2000 lifepoints. Jason’s LPS: 2400 Jason then played his “Toon Fencette” in attack position. The woman wearing a frilly shirt and holding two blades laughed a little bit and brandished her weapons. John blinked.Toon Fencette: ATK/500 [Jason]: Let me show you how this monster works. She gets to attack twice in the same turn. And she gains 300 ATK every time she attacks. Plus, she gets to attack you directly if I have Toon World on the field! John’s eyes opened wide as he realized what this meant. He braced himself as the girl thrashed forward and attacked him directly, and then swung again with a stronger attack. John’s LPS: 2100 Jason then finished his turn with an equip spell.[Jason]: I activate “Toon Mask”! This changes my monster’s original ATK to the original ATK of the monster it is attacked by during your turn. John seemed to growl as he started his turn, drawing one card from his deck. He looked at it, then to his field. He was monster less. He had to use his special card. [John]: I activate “Beastly Instinct!” and shuffle my deck. I then discard cards off the top of my deck until I get a Beast-type monster. I gain 100 lifepoints for each card discarded, and then I get to special summon that beast with 400 less ATK! John’s deck auto shuffled and he let out a soft sigh as he moved his hands over top of his deck. He began to clear his mind and think only of good thoughts. He was trying to trust his cards. He drew his first card. It was a very nice card to discard! It was Sangan, which allowed him to add a monster with 1500 ATK or less to his hand. He needed to keep going before doing that, though. He drew another card and discarded it. It was “Big March of Animals”. He then drew one more and it was the card he needed! [John]: I special summon “Great Mountain Bear” in attack position! Then I get to look through my deck with the effect of Sangan, also gaining 200 lifepoints!Great Mountain Bear: ATK/0 John’s LPS: 2300 John added “Giant Rat” to his hand. He then automatically discarded it to the graveyard. Jason looked at him confused and scratched his head. [John]: I discard a Beast-type monster from my hand when Great Mountain Bear is played to increase his ATK by 600 for every level that monster hand. He loses 200 ATK every time he attacks, though.Great Mountain Bear: 2400 The bear’s eyes suddenly flew wide open and he let out a great bellow as he grew higher, his gray-brown hair standing on ends like a hill. He then lunged forward and slashed the girl in half before him. Jason looked away and shivered but he suddenly threw out his trap card “Great Calamitous Attack”. [Jason]: With this card, if I were to lose this turn due to the attack of your monster, you lose an equal amount of lifepoints as me! That makes this duel a draw! John was panting, and both of their lifepoints hit zero. His monster retreated back to the card and they were all shocked by the outcome. A tie meant that neither duelist lost the battle, so that means that the Beast Clan was able to stay in the duels! The Toon Clan was disappointed by their practical loss. They all shook their heads. Jason went over and shook John’s hand. [Jason and John]: Great game… Hopefully next time I’ll win. They all laughed then and a card from John’s pack and Jason’s suit case flew out and each of the others grabbed the cards, looking at them. Since it was a tie, they both lost a medium-rare card. John had got Jason’s “Toon Mad Gorilla” which was the counterpart of Berserk Gorilla. Jason got John’s “Perfumed Bear” which was much like the Great Bear Mountain, only lighter brown and had purple steam around it. The two duelist souls moved back on their journey, both satisfied. It is not long before the tournament where we will re-meet these teams. Until then, we will venture upon other hearts… CHAPTER TWO (( Steven and his cards are based on DJ-Osiris's cards and characters )) The tale starts again as the final round of open duels begin for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Clan Wars, the tournament created by a long time lover of the game in order to find the best, smartest, and most fun-spirited of all duelists. The duelists who joined were split up into clans of three based upon their deck type or the main cards in their decks. If two out of three duelists were able to go to the tournament, then they all would. If not, then only 1 duelist would be allowed. This time we will be looking in on the duelists of the Water Clan, whose decks revolve around the use of WATER monsters to take out their opponents. The duelists in the Water Clan this year include Logan, Asuka, and Robert; we will be paying more attention to Logan today, however, for it is his match that will determine whether the team will be allowed into the Semi-Finals this year. His teammate Robert had failed to win enough duels.. Logan, Asuka, and Robert had just woken up and were now readying themselves for the morning. Logan and Robert were changing in their tent, while Asuka prepped herself in her own. As they strapped their decks to their sides, then stepped outside and were greeted by the bright morning sun. Logan began to think about his upcoming duel. [Logan]: I wonder if this Osiris guy who challenged me is really as good as they say he is. Robert was the first to notice the sad expression on Logan’s face, and was quick to cheer him up. He gave Logan a firm pat on the back and then sighed. [Robert]: I’m sorry guys. It’s all my fault. If I hadn’t lost to those guys then we wouldn’t have to worry about Logan winning this next duel. Asuka suddenly reached over and smacked Robert on the back of the head. When Robert turned around to see her, he nearly jumped out of his shoes. Asuka had a bad temper and her face was beet red with anger right at this moment. [Asuka]: You bet your butt it’s all your fault! I only lost one of MY duels! And that was because the other guy got LUCKY! Logan began to laugh heartily, and Robert was rubbing his head, muttering under his breath empty threats to Asuka. Just then, a shadow was cast upon the small camp. The Water Clan all looked up to the source of the shadow, seeing a team of three duelists wearing strange, colorful outfits. One of them was in a lush white robe bordered in red designs; one in an outfit that seemed a lot like the one Marauding Captain wore; finally, in the middle, was the duelist that Logan was up against. Steven Russel. His spiky black hair and matching clothing made him contrast deeply with the sun at his back. [steve]: Hello there! Pleased to meet you all! I’m sorry to seem rude, but we’re gonna have to make our introductions short here. The winner of this has to start moving on towards the Semi Finals point. Then on to the Champion League! Logan was in awe. He could tell that this other team was much more powerful than his own, and Steve was probably only doing this duel for show. Regardless, Logan had to remain calm and not lose his head over this other guy. After all, he was being very nice. [Logan]: I’m Logan, your dueling partner. And my teammates are Asuka and Robert. Logan was saying as he pointed to them each in turn. Asuka gave a smile. [steve]: Pleased to meet ya. Now, I’m Steve and my teammates are.. Well, they actually wont let me tell you their names. They’re rather secretive. Steve said with a smile, and then reached for his deck and Duel Disk. Logan gave a nervous laugh and now grabbed his own deck, placing it in his duel disk. Both disks shined and opened up. Steve’s Duel Disk then automatically began to beep, signifying that the random selector had chosen him to be the first in the duel. Steve drew 6 cards from his deck, and Logan 5. [steve]: Alrighty then, I’ll start with these cards right here. I activate the Field Spell Card, “Underground Elektro Nightclub”, and then I’ll summon my “Leola- The Cyber-Goth”! A girl in a strange dance costume appeared from the Duel Disk, and music began to play. Leola’s ATK: 1600 [steve]: But that’s not all that is gonna happen! My Leola gains an extra 300 ATK and DEF from my Field Spell!Leola’s ATK: 1900 Logan was worried, but he tried to keep himself relaxed. Not many cards could help him out in this situation.. Well, immediately anyways. He drew a card from his deck. Just what he needed! [Logan]: O-okay.. With my Atomic Eel’s effect, I’m allowed to Special Summon it to my side of the field in attack position, seeing as you have a Field Spell and a Monster, while I don’t! Logan put into play a giant blue sea serpent that let out a loud metallic screech.Atomic Eel: 2200 [Logan]: And now I’ll attack your Cyber-Goth! The serpent lurched forward and snapped its jaws around Steve’s monster, causing it to digitally explode. Steve cringed a bit. Steve’s Life Points: 3700Logan’s Life Points: 4000 [Logan]: Then I end with a face-down card! Logan said as he set down a which appeared in front of him digitally. Steve then drew. [steve]: That was a nice move you made, but now it’s my turn to retaliate! I activate my Dj Disk! “Graveyard Remix”! I get to Special Summon another Leola to my field! An exact copy of the girl before came onto the field and the music began to play again, boosting up the strength of the girl.Leola: 1900 [steve]: Not just that, but now I’m going to Normal Summon my “Cyber Raver Lukas” in attack position, and send a card randomly from my deck to increase his attack by an additional 400 points! Logan was staring at the man as he summoned forth a dancer with red hair, who sent a Spell Card from Steve’s deck to the graveyard to pump himself up. His ATK was now up to 2400 due to the Field Spell. [steve]: Lukas, would you mind attacking his Atomic Eel? Steve asked politely. The red-headed dancer nodded and jumped at the serpent, but something suddenly happened... It was Logan’s face-down card! [Logan]: I activate my face-down! Toxic Barrel! It removes from play your attacking monster, and turns it into a Mutated Fish Token in defense position on your side of the field!Mutated Fish’s DEF: 100 Steve simply smirked now and set a card, giving his turn to Logan. Steve drew a card. [Logan]: Alright! I’ll set a monster and then attack your Leola with my Atomic Eel! A card appeared in defense position, then the serpent once again destroyed the raver girl, taking another chunk from Steve’s Life Points. Steve: 3400Logan: 4000 Steve shook his head, smiling though, as he was surprised by the boy’s moves. [steve]: Alrighty then. I guess now what I’ll do is activate my Field Spell’s secondary ability, allowing my to pay 600 Life Points to add a DJ Disk to my hand from my deck! Steve: 2800Logan: 4000 Steve looked through his deck and pulled the card “DJ Disk- Rage Mix” to his hand. [steve]: I activate my Rage Mix now, giving my Leola a big boost of 500 points!Leola: 2400 The music in the background suddenly changed to a quick-paced rock mix, and the dancer girl danced furiously to the serpent, striking it down and causing it to explode. Steve: 2800Logan: 3800 Logan the ended his turn by setting a monster face-down, at which time the music went back to normal. Logan drew a card from his deck, not as excited anymore. [Logan]: Okay.. I now tribute my face-down Wooden Kraken that to summon my card..”Captain Greenbeard”! And now with him, I can activate this... Treacherous Seas! You select and destroy 2 cards on your side of the field!Captain Greenbeard: 1800 The zombie-like Captain Greenbeard appeared and smirked. Steve frowned and decided to destroy his Fish Token and his face-down monster, “Dj Apprentice”. Logan then smirked. This turn was going great for him. [Logan]: I now end my turn, which with the effect of Greenbeard, you must destroy 1 card on your side of the field at a cost of 500 Life Points to me! Steve: 2800Logan: 3300 Steve opted to destroy his Leola, and then drew a card from his deck. He looked at his hand, and then shook his head, using the effect of his Field Spell to add a new DJ Disk to his hand. This time it was Graveyard Terror Mix. Steven: 2200Logan: 3300 [steve]: I activate my “Dj Disk- Graveyard Terror Mix”, which lets me Special Summon my Lukas from my graveyard! And I’ll use his effect again to bring the beat to full swing! Lukas began to dance around the field, and then smashed into Captain Greenbeard, throwing him off into the graveyard and inflicting damage to Logan. Steven: 2200Logan: 2800 Logan cringed and hurriedly drew a card from his deck. He looked at the cards in his hand and wiped his forehead. He thought through the moves in his head, and then looked at Steve. [Logan]: I activate.. “Golden Coinflip”! A golden coin appeared on the field, and then began to flip into the air, spinning time and time again in place. [Logan]: I call Heads! And if I’m right, then I destroy 1 card on your field and Special Summon a monster from my hand with 4 levels or less Logan’s heart pumped furiously as he watched the coin drop down to the ground and continue to spin around and around. If he was wrong about his call, he would take 2000 damage. His eyes began to widen as the coin slowed down, and all of the clan members watched the coin close as it now began to fall down.. It was heads! [Logan]: Yes! I destroy your Leola and Special Summon from my hand.. Atomic Jellyfish!Atomic Jellyfish: 1900 [Logan]: Now, Atomic Jellyfish, attack him directly! The strange, red jellyfish began to swim to Steven, and then as it got close it suddenly exploded into pieces, ending up back on Logan’s field in defense position. Steven: 300Logan: 2800 Steven looked at his opponent, Logan, and could tell that he really wanted to win the duel. And it wasn’t that Steven really even needed to win, so he decided to give him some slack despite the fact that he could have won this turn. Steven closed his eyes and smiled as he placed his hand over his deck in forfeit. Everyone’s eyes opened wide, and Asuka suddenly leapt up into the air and yelled out happily. Robert and Logan both then fell to their knees. Logan hadn’t even noticed that Steven handed him a new card, “Cyber Disk Fish”, for his deck. Steve’s team was now silent as Steve gather up his cards and put his deck back in its holster. Without another word, the Secondary Warrior Clan headed off East, to where the Semi Finals were to be soon held. Asuka jumped around the campsite, shouting and hollering into the air. For the first time in two years the Water Clan would make it to the Semi Finals! So ends today’s tale of the Clan Wars. Next time shall be the Semi-Final, a much different and strange dueling test in which duelists use a randomly created deck among hundreds and duel their way through. Truly a great test of a duelist’s power.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
hm' date=' could it be an possibility that I could have an character in this fan-fic?[/quote']Sure thing. Just send me a bio of the character. I haven't figured out exactly which teams will be in the Semi-Finals, so that will help me decide. The only thing I ask is that the character have a deck based around a type of card.. And not just a general thing. Like not have the Gladiator Warriors. And that there be at least 10 cards made-up for their deck.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Chapter 3Chapter 3 The birds were singing, the sun was set up high, and the duelists were all gathered at the front gate to the Semi-Final Exams. It would still be a few minutes before the clans would be sent in to pick their decks and duel others so that they could be in the real Semi Finals, then the Finals, which would pick out the final duelists for the Clan War’s Main Event. Only four duelists would be allowed to participate out of the scores and scores that waited. Who would it be? First let’s see who makes it past this part. # of Applied Clans: 400# of Semi-Finalist Clans: 112# That Will Move On: 50-75Leading Clans: Fourth Spellcasters, Machine, and Winged-Beast Skylar of the Rock Clan, a green-haired boy who always wore a light brown shirt with pockets and dark brown shorts was waiting in line for the Semi-Final Exams to begin. His clan had gotten their first, due to their great luck on their previous duels. That was a great turn from what things previous were, for each member of his clan was only 1 duel loss away in the Open Duels from losing. Though this did mean that each member had a winning record, and were featured as one of the top duelists, despite that the list was about 200 duelists long at this point. They were featured as numbers 175, 176, and 177. It was an honor enough to them to just be there, however. And they were proud as they stood by the large front gate of the Colosseum. Skylar looked around at the other duelists, seeing the determination in most of their eyes, and fear in the eyes of others who were not sure if they were going to get past this part. Those few were starting to even bring Skylar down. He sighed and then turned to his teammates. Sarah (his sister) and Wilfred were determined to win the entire thing. But they had no idea what the Exams would be other than a duel with a random deck they chose. He was about to say something to his friends when there came a loud thud from the behind the gates. All of the duelists turned to look what it was, and were in awe as they saw the gates beginning to open. The guards who were holding everyone back now stepped aside, and a man in a black suit announced that it was now time for the duelists to pick their decks. There was an instant force that exploded through the crowd which propelled the duelists in front to run through the gates and down a long hallway to where the decks would be held. Skylar’s group was not far behind the first of the duelists to enter, moving surprisingly fast through the corridors. As they came closer to the end of the hall, they began to notice many open doors and rooms which held decks and books on dueling. Many teams disappeared into these rooms, but the Rock Clan kept moving on down. That is, until Wilfred had stopped at a room where he saw a large statue of a monster. [Wilfred]: You guys go on without me. I’ll get my deck here.. I don’t know why, but I can just feel that this is the place for me to be. Wilfred was not one to be swayed easily, so Skylar and Sarah went on down to the very end by themselves. There they stopped and looked into the rooms on each side of them. They were unsure where to go from here. All of the rooms seemed pretty much the same to them.. [sarah]: I say we go into the left room. It has a nice pink bow in it! Sarah was saying, her young mind swaying her to the more girly room. Skylar let out a nervous sigh and scratched his green hair. He didn’t really want to go to that room, but if he didn’t he was bound to get beat over the head by his little sister. [skylar]: Alright, alright. Let’s go in there. With that, the two of them stepped into the small room and began to look around at the tables covered in decks. The decks were protected by bulletproof cases and were impossible to tell exactly what cards were in them. However, Sarah was able to pick a deck which she said was better than all of the rest of the decks. [skylar]: Are you crazy? We can’t even tell what’s in these decks! Skylar said, laughing then. However, by the look on her face, he could tell that she was onto something. In each room, and near every deck, Skylar could feel a small change in mood and energy. He decided he would try to find a deck that made him feel confident, himself. He began to walk around the room slowly, searching each table and picking up and occasional deck. After a while longer, his sister began to whine, but he had finally found the deck he was looking for. He froze in place as he saw a deck before him, and he felt as if he were the most powerful duelist in the world for a moment. With this, he quietly picked up the deck and turned to his sister. [skylar]: This is the deck that’s going to win! After roughly an hour of duelists grabbing their decks and collecting in the back of the room, everyone was set. They were all chatting to their teammates about whose deck was better and what they were going to do as a strategy to win, but Skylar and Sarah were looking for Wilfred. They had not seen him since they broke apart, and were beginning to worry about him. [sarah]: We’re just going to have to ask everyone if they’ve seen him! Skylar shook his head at that, knowing that the duelists would be sent out soon to duel. Instead, they began to shout out Wilfred’s name, in hopes that he would hear them. They got no answer, even if ten minutes of searching and shouting. A man then appeared atop the room’s balcony. Someone who looked much like Pegasus, the creator the game.. But it wasn’t him. Pegasus was much older now. The mystery man grabbed a microphone and began to speak. [???]: Welcome, duelists. And congrats on getting this far. To pass the Semi-Final Exams now, you must each duel in a 2-on-2 Team Match with another duelist, and then go on to duel another duelist one on one. The top dueling clans will advance to the Semi Finals, and the losers will all go home. Let the games BEGIN! Skylar was stunned and didn’t know what to think. The floor suddenly shifted and opened up, throwing both him and Sarah down a long chute. They both tried to stop themselves, but found it futile. It seemed like they weren’t going to find Wilfred until this was all over.. Moments later after having fallen down the chute, Skylar came to. He’d landed on a large cushion, and his sister was laying nearby, also beginning to come to. Skylar began to rub his head and look around. They were in some kind of maze-looking place, at first glance, but he soon found out that they were actually at a dueling training ground. He also noticed that there were two duelists coming right at him! He quickly shook his sister. [skylar]: Sarah! Look! There’s some duelists who are going to challenge us! Skylar then quickly stood up and got his deck at the ready, seeing that the men meant business. One of them was wearing a long black jacket with chains, and he had long black hair. The other duelist was small and wore long black cloak which covered his eyes. Sarah, now noticing them too, quickly stood up. [????]: Greetings, you two. I am Spectre, and this is my friend, Shad. Said the man in the black jacket. He had pointed to his partner, who was taking out his duel disk at this time. [spectre]: How about you duel us? Just to get it out of the way? [skylar]: You’re on! That was when Skylar suddenly realized that their decks were no longer in the protective cases. He looked around to see what might have happened to them, but could not find any traces. His sister had now put her deck in her Duel Disk, as had Shad. [spectre](In a dark voice): Let the duel... COMMENCE! There was a flash of duel disks and of cards, and then a shining light on Sklar’s Duel Disk. It was his turn first, and then the light showed that Spectre was second. Skylar drew 6 cards from his deck, then everyone else drew 5. [skylar]: Oh, crap.. I forgot this is a randomly chosen deck.. But it looks sort of like my other one. I can see rock monsters.. Alright! I will start off my turn by setting a monster and a spell or trap card.... Your turn! A card in defense position appeared in front of Skylar, and then a card behind that one. Spectre laughed a little bit and drew. [spectre]: I’ll start my turn off my turn by discard this! “Archfiend General”! And he lets me add 1 “Pandemonium” from my deck to my hand, which I’ll play! The ground began to shake, and a dark green stage appeared around the duelists. This was obviously a Field Spell Card that he had played. [spectre]: Now I’ll summon “Archfiend- Second Knight” in attack mode!Second Knight’s ATK: 1800 [spectre]: Now, my knight, take down his face-down card! The massive knight who was much like a skeletal centaur rushed in towards the face down card, and the car appeared as “Avalanche Guard”, a giant brown golem who seemed to be made of many loose rocks.Avalanche Guard’s DEF: 2500 Team Spectre: 3600Team Skylar: 4000 [spectre]: What was all that about? My Second Knight had less ATK than that..?[skylar]: Yeah, I know. But Avalanche Golem only inflicts damage to your Life Points equal to the number of stars of a monster that battles x100. That is, if they are too weak to beat him. Spectre muttered to himself and ended his turn. Sarah drew a card from her deck. [sarah]: Alright, boys! Get ready for my deck! I summon “Beta the Magnet Warrior” in attack position! And then I activate “Ring of Magnetism” on my big brother’s card, making it so all your monster must attack Avalanche Guard before they attack me! A small yellow warrior with magnets for hands, feet, and on his head appeared, and then a ring slipped around the finger of Avalanche Golem. [sarah]: Finally, I end with a face-down card. Go now, creepy mister. Shad drew a card from his deck. After looking it over, he looked at the field. [shad]: I summon “Black Ink Dragon” in attack position.Black Ink Dragon: 0 A small black dragon appeared on the field, seeming to ooze from its scales. [shad]: Now, I attack Avalanche Guard with him! Skylar was completely confused as to why Shad would do this, so he waited to see what would happen. The black dragon suddenly grew ten times its size and slammed directly into the giant golem, suddenly shattering it into hundreds of pieces. The dragon then slowly moved back to its original place, changing back to its normal size. Team Spectre: 3500Team Skylar: 4000 [skylar]: Whoa! Now I remember! That’s that monster that destroys everything it battles with! And he doesn’t take any Battle Damage, either! Unlucky for him, though, that my Golem inflicts effect damage instead of normal battle damage. [shad]: I set two cards and end my turn. Skylar drew a card from his deck and looked over his cards.[skylar]: Alright.. I activate my face-down card! “Rock Bombardment”! I send 1 Rock-Type monster from my deck to the graveyard, and you take 500 damage! A catapult suddenly appeared, and Skylar looked through his deck, then placing “Cannonball Golem” in his graveyard, which the cannonball-shaped monster appeared on the catapult and was thrown at Spectre directly. Team Spectre: 3000 Team Skylar: 4000 [spectre]: Aha! Now I can activate my face-down card! “Archfiend Bloodlust”! Now, each time we take damage from card effects or pay Life Points, you take 300 points of damage! [skylar]: Fair enough, I suppose.. I’ll just remove from play my Avalanche Guard and summon this.. “The Rock Spirit”!Rock Spirit’s ATK: 1700 [skylar]: Then I’ll set another monster face down.. And my Rock Spirit attacks Shad’s monster! The rock man raised his weapon high into the air and ran at the small black dragon in front of him. The two crashed together suddenly and both exploded. [shad]: I activate my face-down card, “Ink Tapestry”. It gains 1 Ink Counter each time a monster of mine with “Ink” in its name is destroyed. Then, I may remove Ink Counters from it to Special Summon an “Ink” monster from my hand with an equal amount of stars to the number of Ink Counters removed. A scroll appeared in front of Shad, and on it appeared a small line drawn with in. Skylar decided to end his turn with another face-down card, which left him with only 1 card in his hand. Spectre now drew. [spectre]: Ordinarily, I’d have to pay Life Points to keep my Second Knight on the field, but since I have Pandemonium, I don’t! Haha! Now I will summon to my side of the field “Mist Archfiend” with his own effect! Then I will take care of what I know.. That Magnet!Mist Archfiend: 2400 A giant, red, black, and yellow beast appeared in front of Spectre, half of its body made of mist. It let out a roar suddenly, and rushed towards it, shattering it into pieces. Team Spectre: 3000Team Skylar: 3300 [spectre]: Then I attack your face-down with my knight, green-haired kid! The knight rushed forward and a large rodent appeared. The knight slashed the monster in half and galloped back to its original position. [skylar]: My “Giant Rat”s ability activates! And I Special Summon another Giant Rat in attack position to my side of the field!Giant Rat: 1400 [skylar]: But that’s not all! I’ll also activate my face-down “Heart of Steel”! I remove from play “Giant Rat” in my graveyard, and inflict 500 damage to your Life Points! We also take half Battle Damage while in battles against monsters that attack our EARTH monsters this turn! Team Spectre: 2500Team Skylar: 3000 [spectre]: Pretty nice kid.. I’ll end my turn up with my own card, “Desecrated Heart”. I destroy my Mist Archfiend so I wont get his nasty after effect, and inflict 1000 damage to you! But then I still get to add my card to my hand by the effect of Pandemonium.. I add “Terrorking Archfiend”! Team Spectre: 2500Team Skylar: 2000 Now it was Sarah’s turn, and she drew a card. [sarah]: Okay! I active my face-down “Reverse Pull”! I return my “Beta” in my graveyard to my deck, then Special Summon 1 “Psi” from my deck!Psi the Magnet Warrior: 1900 A warrior appeared with a reversed color scheme of Beta the Magnet Warrior. Team Spectre: 2200Team Skylar: 2000 [sarah]: And now I’ll go directly for Spectre’s Knight! And whenever my Zeta destroys a monster as a result of battle, I Special Summon 1 Beta to my side of the field in defense position! The magnet warrior’s arm extended over to Spectre’s monster, exploding it into thousands of pieces. Beta the Magnet Warrior was then pulled to Sarah’s side of the field in defense Position.Beta the Magnet Warrior: 1600 [sarah]: Now I’ll set a monster on my side of the field, seeing as I can’t Normal Summon because of Psi’s effect... Shad now drew a card from his deck. His opponents had two cards on their side of the field.. His team had none at the moment. It was time to even things out. [shad]: First, I will Normal Summon my “Dark World Calligrapher” to my side of the field.Dark World Calligrapher: 1500 [shad]: Then I remove an Ink Counter from my Ink Tapestry to Special Summon “Ink Ogre”. A small black ogre with many boils on its skin appeared and danced around. [shad]: But I will tribute that card with my Dark World Calligrapher’s effect to Special Summon 1 “Mystical Painting- Lightning Ogre” from my hand. A massive, multicolored ogre with a drum set on his back appeared, and let out a triumphant roar. Suddenly, the ATK of Giant Rat was decreased to 900, and the giant grew even larger, rasing from its original 2500 ATK to 3000! Then the Ogre slammed into Giant Rat with intense force, lightning shooting at Skylar. At the last minute, a metallic heart appeared and absorbed half of the lightning. Team Spectre: 2200Team Skylar: 950 [skylar]: Crap!! At least I get a monster from my Giant Rat.. A large lump of sand suddenly appeared on the field, and it slowly formed into a person-like figure with a shield and sword.Sand Soldier’s ATK: 1500 [skylar]: Alright! I have to make my turn count now! Skylar was thinking, and closed his eyes. He needed a really great card to win now.. The card that he had seen himself using when he first found the deck. He drew his card and his eyes went wide. [skylar]: First, I activate this... Earth Shattering Strike! I discard a level 4 or higher monster from my hand to destroy all attack-position monsters on the field! Skylar sent a Cannonball Golem from his hand to the graveyard, and then the monster smashed onto the field with extreme force, blowing back the Dark World Calligrapher and the Lightning Ogre, as well as his own Sand Soldier. [skylar]: Now I’ll remove from play both of the Cannonball Golems in my graveyard to inflict 1000 damage to your Life Points! [shad]: Ah, but I activate my face-down card, Blood Red Ink to... [sarah]: Oh, no you don’t! I activate my Dark Bribe! It negates your card, and the only downside is you draw a card from your deck! A mirror appears and reflects a large cloud of smoke, making Shad draw a card. Then the two Cannonball Golems appear and explode against Spectre. Team Spectre: 1200Team Skylar: 350 [spectre]: Noo! He’s going to defeat us! This can’t really be happening! [skylar]: Heh.. Yeah, it is happening.. Now, come forth, “Brilliant Shining Golem”! ATTACK!Brilliant Shining Golem’s ATK: 1500 The large monster shifted a bit and then its arms seemed to collapse, then fire out forward a large spray of diamond shards at the two men, and they stumbled down onto the ground. Team Spectre: 0Team Skylar: 350 [skylar and Sarah together]: Yes!! We did it! The two were suddenly granted cards for their original decks, as posted on a nearby scoreboard. Apparently, it had been monitoring their duel. They both checked to see what they got. [sarah] (gasping): I got a “Goddess Statue- Maya”! YES! [skylar]: And I got a “Sandstorm Beetle”! I’ve been needing one of those! And so ends this portion of the Semi-Finals Exam.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Chapter 4 Everyone was finishing up their Tag Team duels now, and everything seemed to be going great. Especially for Mary, a small built brunette who had just beaten her last opponents in a duel with the help of her friend, Ange. Their decks had been a pretty good mix against their opponents, and that might have been why they won. After all, if not for her friend’s finishing card, “Rise to Brilliance”, they would have lost the duel. Mary sighed, and she began looking around for other duelists. They had only seen duelists that were in battle lately, and it was getting sort of annoying that they couldn’t finish things up quickly. [Ange]: Hey, let’s go take a rest over there. Ange said as she pointed to a small roofed in area. Mary nodded and they quickly went over and sat down under the shade. [Mary]: I sure hope somebody comes here quick. I’m bored and want to move on to the finals already.. Ange nodded in response, feeling deep down that if nobody did come soon then they were going to lose and go back home. They were especially worried because they had lost their teammate, Tim, before coming down to the Exam Arena. They were waiting in the same spot for at least half an hour, staring out into space or plucking at grass before somebody appeared. It was a tall woman with blonde hair who reminded them greatly of one of the famed duelists, Mai Valentine. [Mary]: Hey! You! Do you want to challenge me to a duel?! Mary had called out suddenly, jumping up at the girl and grinning wide. She was hoping that the woman would say yes. The woman began to laugh to herself, and then out loud. [???]: You really think you can beat me? Daughter of Mai Valentine, Rose? Mary and Ange’s eyes both opened wide suddenly, and they stared at the woman. Could she be serious? Was she really the daughter of Mai Valentine? There’s no way it could be. [Rose]: Heh.. I guess I might as well get this win on my belt now. [Mary]: H-hey! I can beat you! Mary said, a bit unsure of herself. She grabbed her deck and put it into her duel disk, signaling a panel to appear behind her that listed Life Points. Rose smirked and got her own deck ready, then the Duel Disks decided that she would go first. Rose drew 6 cards, and Mary 5. [Rose]: Alright, kid. Get ready for some serious dueling. I set a card face-down and then put into play “Sweet Scent Fairy” in Defense Position on my side of the field.Sweet Scent Fairy’s DEF: 1200 A girl covered in white and pink flowers appeared and danced around the field once before sitting down. Mary quickly drew a card. [Mary]: Alright, for my move I’ll summon the “Mistress of Thunder” in attack mode!Mistress of Thunder’s ATK: 1600 [Mary]: And then I attack your Sweet Scent Fairy! And when my Mistress of Thunder destroys a defense position monster, you lose 500 Life Points! A woman garbed in a tunic gathered up a ball of thunder and threw it at the fairy on the other side of the field. The little fairy tensed up as it struck, and exploded. [Rose]: Ha ha ha! Now my Fairy’s special effect activates and I gain control of your Mistress of Thunder! I think that the cost of 1500 of its attack points is enough to make up for that fact. A pink smoke slowly drifted over to the Mistress of Thunder and she followed the scent of it over to Rose’s side of the field. Mary frowned. [Mary]: Darn it... I guess I’ll set 2 cards and end my turn. Two cards appeared in front of Mary, and Rose drew a card from her deck. She covered her mouth and began to laugh quietly to herself. [Rose]: I now tribute your Mistress of Thunder to summon “Venus Queen”! And I’ll have my queen attack your Life Points directly now. A woman made out of vines and with large sharp teeth appeared and slashed its arm out towards Mary, who immediately activated a face-down card. [Mary]: I activate “Blinding Light”! If a non-LIGHT monster inflicts Life Point damage to me this turn, it is destroyed automatically, but you gain 1000 Life Points when it is. [Rose]: Not so fast! I activate my own face-down card, “Lily Water”! It makes all of my Plant-Type monsters immune to that Trap card’s effect for this turn. Sorry, sweety. A brilliant light appeared before the Venus Queen, but a lily flower appeared around Rose’s monster and blocked it from the effect. Then, when the light was gone, Venus Queen appeared out of the flower and slashed at Mary. Mary’s Life Points: 2000Rose’s Life Points: 4000 [Rose]: Thanks to my Venus’s effect, I get a Venus Token on my side of the field in attack position now. I set a new card and end my turn.Venus Token: 500 [Mary]: Okay.. I draw! Now I activate Graceful Charity and draw three cards.. Then I discard my “Thunder Kid” and “Sonic Boom”.. Now for my move! I summon “Knight of Thunder”!Knight of Thunder: 1800 [Mary]: But that’s not all. I’ll also equip him with “Lightning Rod”! So I can decrease his ATK by an amount to Special Summon from my deck a monster with equal ATK to the amount that I decrease it by. And I choose to decrease his attack by 1000 so I can Special Summon this...! A knight in large, yellow armor appeared, and grabbed onto a strange looking steel staff. It then raised its hand and shot lightning into the air. Then a man wearing a suit of jagged armor appeared next to the knight.Knight of Thunder: 800Knight of Lightning: 1000 [Mary]: But wait! I tribute Knight of Thunder and Knight of Lightning now for their effects and discard a card from my hand to destroy all monsters on your side of the field! [Rose]: Oh no! Whatever shall I do... Mary smiled and the two knights melded together, then firing a giant blast of thunder down upon Rose’s monsters, destroying them. The melded monster then fell to the ground, smirking. It was not a knight in an armor mixed from the two.Storm Knight- Alean: 1900 [Mary]: Now, my Storm Knight, attack her Life Points directly! [Rose]: Not so fast, Missy! I activate “Spreading Seeds” and Special Summon 3 Venus Tokens in attack position on my side of the field! Your knight attacks one instead! Mary: 2000Rose: 2500 Mary groaned a little bit and ended her turn. Rose drew a card from her deck. She then changed one of her remaining Venus Tokens to defense position. [Rose]: Now I tribute my other Venus Token for my Spell Card, “Blooming Thorn” and set a monster on my side of the field. I end. A small flower enveloped one of Rose’s tokens and stayed in its place. Mary bit her lip and drew a card from her deck. [Mary]: I summon “Cloud Girl” in attack position on my side of the field.Cloud Girl: 600 [Mary]: Now I attack your Venus Token with her, and then I attack your face-down with my Storm Knight! The little girl riding on a cloud flew across the field and shot a bolt of lightning at the plant, then the Storm Knight attacked the face-down card, shattering it into pieces. [Rose]: That was my Mystic Tomato! I get to Special Summon a Thorn Girl to my side of the field in attack position.Thorn Girl: 1200 [Mary]: Heh! I activate “Thunder Fray” and tribute my Cloud Girl to allow my knight an extra attack now, since he has less than 2000 ATK! The little girl on the cloud closed her eyes and concentrated hard, lightning firing at the Storm Knight and propelling him into the opponent’s monster and smashing it with a lance. By the Cloud Girl’s effect, she returned to the field as Mary set a card and ended her turn. Rose drew a card. Mary: 2000Rose: 1700 [Rose]: Not bad, girly. But now my “Blooming Thorn” activates and I Special Summon a “Rose Queen” from my deck!Rose Queen: 2400 [Rose]: Then I summon “Daisy Fairy” in attack position and destroy your pathetic Storm Knight. Which coincidentally gives my Rose Knight a Beautiful Thorn Counter, increasing her ATK by 200!Daisy Fairy: 1300 A small fairy with a Daisy on her head appeared and giggled. Then the large woman next to her, covered in thorned vines and roses shot its arm forward and destroyed Mary’s knight. Then the fairy destroyed the Cloud Girl. Mary: 1500Rose: 1700 Mary was shaking now as she drew her card. It was just what she needed to win! She quickly put it into play, a determined look on her face, but Rose was smiling back. [Mary]: I activate “Thunderstorm”! I get to Special Summon a Thunder-Type monster in my graveyard, and it gains 1000 ATK, but it doesn’t inflict damage to your Life Points! [Rose]: Wrong, kid. I activate Rose Queen’s second effect. I remove her Beautiful Thorn Counter to negate your Spell Card’s effect and destroy it! Mary’s eyes opened wide. She needed to use Thunder Storm’s effect to get rid of Rose Queen, then she would tribute the monster for the stronger one in her hand that would have given 1700 damage to Rose...[Mary]: I-I... guess I set a card face-down and end then. [Rose]: It was nice knowing you. And I’m sorry I have to beat you like this. To tell the truth, I’m what they call a Regulator down here. I bring my own deck and duel other people to test their skills. Even if you lose to me, you could still pass. Rose drew a card from her deck, smiling over at Mary to hopefully bring her hopes up. She then looked at her card and activated it. [Mary]: I activate “Tumbleweed Storm” and tribute my Daisy Fairy to destroy your face-down. Then I attack you directly for game! The little fairy scattered into a thousand tumbleweeds and bombarded the face-down Mary had. Then the Rose Queen rushed in and slashed Mary, making her fall over. The girl was in disbelief. [Ange]: It’s okay, Mary! At least you still win a card.. Look at the board! Mary, for coming close to defeating one of the Regulators, will receive a card of her choice from the Prize HallAnd if she chooses the correct card, her Clan will automatically move on... Mary suddenly smiled wide and began jumping up and down for joy. Out of sheer luck, they were getting a chance to automatically move on to the Finals, despite losing. It was a lucky, yet unfortunate day. FEATURED CARDS:ROSE: Thorn GirlDark/Plant/3/1200/1600This card is unaffected by Trap Cards. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Chapter 4 Everyone was finishing up their Tag Team duels now, and everything seemed to be going great. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
FILLER STORY (Since the Finals are starting. Lol) Rink and Tyler were both looking through their cards and making their decks on a sunny afternoon; children with no care in the world, and no real need to be doing what they were doing. This was a few months before the first official Clan Wars began, and Rink was not yet aware that he would some day soon be in a Clan with one of the champions of the Clan Wars, Kainek. Tyler looked up from his deck to see Rink admiring the bird cards that he was holding. Tyler looked over the boy’s shoulder and smirked. [Tyler]: Those cards are so wimpy! I bet my Karate Warriors could whip ‘em! Rink was a bit hurt by what Tyler said, though he knew that his cards had very low stats. He hid his deck at his side and shook his head defiantly. Tyler began to laugh a bit at him, and stuck his tongue out teaingly. [Rink]: N..nuh-uh! I could beat the pants off of your warriors. Especially that one with the crappy attack points! My Luna has more ATK than that card! [Tyler]: Did you call my cards stupid?! That’s it, bring it on, Rink! I challenge you to a duel! Rink was unsure if he should duel or not. He had no confidence in his deck, especially since until Tyler, his cards were all brand new. But he wasn’t one to back down from a challenge. He swallowed the lump in his throat and put on a small duel disk. Tyler put on his as well. [both at once]: DUEL! Rink’s Life Points: 4000Tyler’s Life Points: 4000 Rink’s Duel Disk flashed and beeped loudly, telling him it was his turn first. He drew 6 cards from his deck and looked them over. Tyler drew 5 and began to laugh. [Rink]: I-I activate Winged Ensemble and Special Summon “Peaceful Bird- Acinus” in defense... Then I will Normal Summon “Peaceful Bird- Renim” with its effect in face-up defense position. And because of Acinus’ effect, I gain 500 Life Points. I end!Acinus’s DEF: 500Renim’s DEF: 1000 Rink: 4500Tyler: 4000 Tyler laughed to himself as he drew. He looked over his cards quickly then, and activated one of them. The card was “Kung-Fu Training School”, which allowed him to add 1 “Karate” or “Kung-Fu” monster from his deck to his hand. He chose “Karate Man- Rocket Legs”. [Tyler]: I summon “Karate Man- Rocket Legs” in attack position!. I’ll also activate the effect of “Karate Art of Piercing”, allowing him to do damage to you equal to the difference of his ATK and your monster’s DEF! Now I use Rock Leg’s effect to allow him to attack twice this turn! Attack his two birdies! He he!Karate Man- Rock Legs: 1400 A man in a white karate uniform appeared on the field. Then his legs suddenly began to glow white, then red. The man let out a battle cry as he slammed his feet into the two birds. Rink cringed and covered his face as his monsters disappeared and he was struck by red energy. Rink: 2700Tyler: 4000 Tyler smiled as he ended his turn. But then he gasped as he remembered that his Rock Legs was destroyed after using his effect. Rink then drew a card from his deck. [Rink]: Darn it... I Special Summon “Peaceful Bird-Luna” from my hand by the effect of Winged Ensemble, and then I activate “Bird Sanctuary” to Special Summon Renim from my graveyard.. And I sadly have to tribute him to summon “Birdian- Silent Owl”!Birdian- Silent Owl: 2000 [Rink]: Now I attack you directly with Silent Owl! Rink: 2700Tyler: 2000 Rink then set the last card in his hand. Tyler drew a card from his deck and looked at the field. He was already losing the duel! He had to make a comeback. [Tyler]: I Special Summon “Kung-Fu Girl” with her effect! And then I tribute her to summon “Kung-Fu Master”! And he gains 200 ATK for each of his students in the graveyard!Kung-Fu Master: 2300 [Tyler]: Now, Kung-Fu Master, attack his Owl! [Rink]: Not so fast! With Owl’s effect, I activate my face-down Trap Card, “Midnight Swoop” regardless of timing. My Owl is tributed, but I Special Summon 1 “Sharp Toucan” from my deck in attack position and that monster becomes your target! Tyler’s eyes got wide as his Kung-Fu Master suddenly clashed into a colorful bird that appeared from nowhere. Both of the monsters exploded and no damage was done to the players. [Tyler]: Grrrr! At least I get to add “Karate Man- True Strength”, the warrior out to avenge his monster, to my hand! I end with a face-down. [Rink]: I draw! I don’t really have anything... so I set a card and end my turn. This was Tyler’s chance! He drew a card from his deck and then removed from play Kung-Fu Master and his Karate Man- Rocket Legs to Special Summon his Karate Man- True Strength to his hand. He was an extremely tall man, dark man, and as he entered the field his muscles tensed up until his shirt nearly burst apart.Karate Man- True Strength: 2000 [Tyler]: Alright! Here’s how it goes! I remove from play my remaining Karate monster to destroy a face-up monster on your side of the field, but your Luna prevents me from targeting your monsters, so instead I’ll destroy Winged Ensemble! The karate man closed his eyes and tensed his massive muscles tight, causing them to expand even more. A blue energy then began to shine off of his body, and he shot this energy at Rink’s Winged Ensemble, destroying it. [Tyler]: Now, my Karate Man attacks your bird! The karate man slowly walked over to the bird, and as it flew up to him he quickly clapped it between its hands, causing it to explode into a thousand digital pieces. Rink then drew a card from his deck, as Tyler ended. [Tyler]: I activate “Kung-Fu Kidoou!”, which lets us both draw 2 cards from our decks as long as I activate this during your Standby Phase. Tyler and Rink both drew two cards, and looked them over briefly. [Rink]: I... Special Summon “Birdian- False Phoenix” from my hand and activate “Hawk Eye”! You flip the top card of your deck face-up, and depending on what it is, this card activates an effect! Tyler flipped over the top card of his deck. It was “Karate Champ”, a monster. That meant that Rink could destroy Tyler’s monster, which he decided was for the best. [Rink]: Yes! Now.. My Birdian is immune to your Spell Cards since he was Special Summoned, so watch out! Attack, False Phoenix! A light pink bird flew across the field and cut through Tyler quickly with its entire body before flapping back to Rink’s field. Rink: 2700Tyler: 600 Tyler was getting angry now, and he quickly drew a card from his deck. He knew this monster was going to be useful. Especially because of what Tyler had in his hand. [Tyler]: I activate “Kung-Fu Cross”! Which changes your monster to my field, however it cannot attack, and if I tribute it my monster only inflicts half damage to you this turn. But that doesn’t matter much to me! Because I summon “Karate Champ”!Karate Champ: 3000 A warrior, somehow more massive and muscular than the last, appeared on the field. His white uniform was ripped, and around his waist was a large black belt with a white dragon on it. [Tyler]: That’s not all! I also Special Summon “Kung-Fu Apprentice” since I control “Karate Champ”, and activate “Beginner’s Luck”, allowing him to attack 10 times this turn! The warrior’s eyes shot up, and Rink gasped suddenly. The large man then leapt over to Rink in a single bound and did a quick cross chop against his chest, making Rink fall to the floor. A tiny man in an afro then appeared and rapidly smashed his fists and feet into Rink Tyler’s Karate Champ then suddenly disappeared, as Tyler realized he could not discard for the monster’s end of turn effect. Rink: 200Tyler: 600 Rink began to pant, and was barely able to get back on his feet. However, he managed to draw a card from his deck, and he closed his eyes, nearly weeping with joy over what card it was. [Rink]: First, I activate “Bird Sanctuary”, giving me 200 Life Points for each Winged-Beast in my graveyard... Rink: 1300Tyler: 600 [Rink]: Now I activate “Calling Winds”and pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon 1 Winged-Beast in my graveyard, but it can’t attack this turn.. And then I’ll set a card and end my turn.. Sharp Toucan was Special Summoned to the field, and Tyler drew a card from his deck, laughing at the maneuver. Then Rink suddenly activated his two face-down cards, “Nest of Innocence” and “Burning Phoenix”! [Rink]: I summon 1 “Egg Token”, and tribute Tucan! Then we both would lose 2300 Life Points, but I activate the effect of Burning Phoenix and tribute my Egg Token to negate it! So you lose 2300 Life Points! Hah! Tyler let out a yell as the toucan was suddenly set ablaze, and then it rushed forward and exploded against him, bringing his Life Points down to zero. Rink let out a small sigh and wiped his forehead as the monsters on the field all disappeared and the game ended. This was his first of many victories he would have in his lifetime.
