A man in a hooded robe set his mug down on the café table in front of him. Around him, the people were abuzz with talk, but that didn't seem to matter. His eyes stayed locked on the display in front of him. "Those fools..." He turned his head, taking in all of the people with Twistopia memorabilia around the room before shifting his gaze to the contents of his cup. "If only they knew..." As the lightly brown drink caught his reflection, the face of a man began to look back at him: Eyes weary, face pale and full of sorrow, a scar on his right cheek.

"The Truth..."
Twisted:
The name of the greatest and most famous entertainer in history.
The founder of the most popular attraction in the world, drawing in millions to his insane and fear themed festivals.
A demon in disguise.

Left unprovoked, this madman has slowly taken over or destroyed countless worlds just for the fun of it, drawing power from the madness left in his wake. But the worlds under his domain remain unwise to his true actions and motives, worshiping him almost like a god (or at the very least a high ranking celebrity) as their people and their world slowly dies and becomes his.

But not all have been fooled. Some have seen through the lies and have risen secretly in the shadows, lead by a group of people who have experienced full well the true horror Twisted and his followers are capable of. And while there numbers are few in comparison, they are determined to put an end to the ignorant suffering of those worlds under Twisted's secret rule. To find a way to slay the demon once and for all. They are the Black Rebellion, and while many don't even know they exist, they may just be the last hope the worlds have left...

User Name:Spazix
Character: Connor Crossings
Appearance: Messy Black hair, Brown eyes, Average height, Thin but slightly muscular build. His shadow is a slightly different shade than all others.
Gender: Male
Age: About 19
Alliance: Black Rebellion, Founder
Bio: The first Founder of the Black Rebellion, he is the only one of the surviving three Founders who has actually faced twisted and lived. It's also believed that he shares some form of unknown bond with the maniac, their powers sharing a similar basis.Very little is known about him story wise. What is known is that he has been fighting/hiding from Twisted longer than any other member of the Rebellion, and that every since it's founding he's been looking for any sign of something, or more specifically, some one...
Role wise, he acts as the idol/expected hero of the rebellion, being the one who knows the most about twisted and in everyone else's eyes, the most likely to take him down. He knows however, that as much as he would like to be the one to kill the beast which plagues him, he will not be the one delivering the final blow. Despite being the one mostly in charge, he leaves the overall control of the group in Marcus and Thorn's capable hands, giving only advice and direction.
Personality: calm, muddled, often lost in thought but above all mentally stressed. While his calmness may come off sometimes as coldness or being rude, he is really kind caring and somewhat naive on the inside
Weapon: Black Cross: Cross like Sword made from Connors own shadow. Can change its width and length proportionally. Uses all of his shadow in it's complete form.
Power Basis: Shadow Manipulation: Can control his own shadow to form proportional weapons and doorways.
Techniques: Dark door: forms a "Black Spot Effect" with his shadow, allowing him and others to pass through solid matter. Doesn't work on living matter including plants or areas imbued with Twisted Power.
Shadow man: "Switches Places" with his shadow, rendering him immobile, but allowing him to control and detach his shadow like a puppet.
Shades Curtain: Uses shadow like a cloak to shield from attack.
Ebonwings: Wings of shadow. When used with Black cross, sword becomes a Rapier.
Overshadow: Fuses man and shadow, forming full body armor. Strongest Technique.
Dark Purity: Can take control of or "Cure" shades without attacking by covering them with his shadow. Low level shades are easy to control and purify while middle levels require a heavy effort. Shades controlled turn the same color as his shadow, aka, Shades of Grey.

User Name: Spazix
Character: Marcus
Appearance: Dark Red long haired, scar on his right cheek, green eyes. Muscular build.
Gender: Male
Age: About 18
Alliance: Black Rebellion Founder
Bio: Marcus is a man who was gone to hell and back (literally) and lived to tell the tale. Marcus came from an average family on his home world, but due to certain "circumstances" he became a warrior fighting for survival and for the answers of what truly happened to his now ruined and wastelandish home. For reasons unknown he seems rather hesitant on talking about his former life and home, and why it became what it had. Every now and then, people claim they hear him talking to someone else when alone, but can never identify the voice.
Position wise, he acts as the general or commander of the group, able to make split second decisions when on the battle field and training new members so they know how to exist in the worlds ruled by twisted undetected. Strong, brave, compassionate, what he strives for is to save the worlds under twisteds rule. Out of all of the generals he seems the most mature, even though Connor is a year plus older.
Personality: Commanding, strong willed, a great leader with keen survival instincts. He has a loyal gentleness to him too, especially when it comes to the injured. He refuses to leave any man behind.
Weapon: Infernal Axe: An weapon that's halberd on top, but resembles a scythe on bottom. If you've seen the anime Blassreiter, it's Herman's weapon.
Power Basis: Manipulation and summoning of fire. Will burn Marcus if used to much.
Abilities: Flare: Most basic fire attack, using various quantities of fire as a projectile.
Overheat: Covers self in flames, acting like a body cover. Makes it difficult for enemies to land direct damage without hurting selfs.
Pyronic Tempest: Spins ignited Axe, causing a vortex of flames. Can be used either at enemy or around self for protection.

User Name: PikaPerson01

Character: Rose "Thorn" Availia

Appearance: Long red hair, hazel eyes, thin, but strong. Always wearing a string bracelet made by her brother and her trademark black coat with an image of her namesake on the back.

Gender: Female

Age: About 18, younger than Marcus

Alliance: Black Rebellion

Bio: Born in a bountiful town called Oasis located in the middle of a dessert, her parents were mostly sucsessful merchants who specialized in herbs and vegitation. However, even though she lived a mildly sheltered life due to her wealth, she was always very adventurous and full of energy which would often get her (And her tag along little brother, Amir) into trouble. This pattern of playful disobedience and wish of something more would continue for 17 year's, by which point she had grown bored of peaceful, sleepy Oasis. Unfortunately, by this point, her world had already fallen prey to Twisted, her town being the last. She was soon thrust into the chaos of twisteds game, inadvertently bringing together Connor, Marcus and Gabe and forming the Black Rebellion, of which she and her 3 years younger brother were made generals. But now, a year plus later, she is once again alone, Amir having vanished without a trace.
Role wise, Thorn (like Marcus) acts like a general and trainer, though she has a much more positive and risk taking personality than the others. It's her positive outlook that keeps many of the Rebellion from losing hope. Though with Amir gone, she's been having a few hidden self confidence issues, wondering if she's even worthy of being a "general". See is unique to the group in that before the day of it's founding she had no ties to twisted, and has never gone through the "Immunization" process of overcoming a shading. Even so, she is still immune to Twisteds mind trap due to her strong will, and perhaps something else...

Personality: Cheerful, Supportive, though Quirky and rash at times, she's probably the most upbeat appearing person in the rebellion. Although under neath the jokes, cheerful sarcasm, and love of a thrill, she is constantly doubting herself, afraid that her only remaining friends have no use for her, seeing as she doesn't have any spectacular powers like them.

Weapon: Twin daggers, both with long ribbons on the bases she can control and ensnare with. Two Herb/Petal/Spices pouches: One for Medicine and the other for poison and effects. All of which are grown in her room in pots and of which she is immune to.

Power Basis: Bind and kill: Uses Her agility, Poisons Knowledge and materials, and ribbons to render the target immobile, then uses her daggers to finish the job.

Abilities:

Butterfly Snare: Can use the ribbons on her dagger to bind and draw in the opponent.
Petal Dust: Crushed poison flower petals which cause hallucinations and confusion if exposed to the enemies eyes. Can be used in large quantities to cover a field of enemies. Wears off shortly.
Remedy: Able to make potions or herbal remedies with healing properties using home grown materials. Used for minor wounds and poisonings and illness.
User Name: Otaku-sama

Character: Heikichi Murasame

Appearance: 5' 6", thin muscular frame, tanned skin. Heikichi has long dark red hair that reaches the bottom of his shoulder blades that is tied into a ponytail. His yellow eyes burn of passion and confidence. Being an avid participant of parkour, his body is very toned and appears to have no fat at all. He is usually covered in small scratches from his parkour. He has one black tattoo on his right shoulder blade of a Chinese character of temperance. As part of his parkour, he usually wears a tank top or goes shirtless with a pair of camo patterned cargo pants with many pockets.

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Alliance: Black Rebellion

Bio: Heikichi was born to a well to do family who lived in a rich neighbourhood. Originally, Heikichi lived a sheltered life, his parents homeschooling him via tutors until middle school. Heikichi was born to a free sould, however, and felt like a caged bird. As soon as his parents let him out into the rest of society, he did whatever it took to stay away from home. Usually, he would stay over at friends' homes, even during school days. Suprisingly, he still did very well in school, especially in athletics and track and field. When he reached high school, he discovered parkour and saw it as the ultimate of freedom. He ran all over the city, usually well into the night, sleeping wherever he found himself in, like the roofs of buildings. His parents were always worried sick and Heikichi was tracked down by private investigators multiple times and brought home. When he was 16, he met a girl named Naoko Ienari in his track and field club and fell in love. The couple were perfect for eachother and did almost everything together, to the point where people thought it was sickening. One night, the two decided to go to a show run by Twisted to help them get away from the stress of exams. Naoko had a strange feeling about it, but Heikichi insisted on going. During the show, Naoko went missing and was not found until a week later, when Heikichi found her in the park, totally different from her normal self. She had become a shade and tried to kill Heikichi, chasing him through the city until the chase caused her to fall off an eight storey building. Heikichi was distraught, and to make things worse, Heikichi was accused of the murder. Although he was later proven innocent thanks to his parents' lawyer, Heikichi sought vengeance. He discovered the Black Rebellion and joined immediately. He later got the tattoo in memory of Naoko and also as a reminder for him to think things through more.

Personality: Heikichi is a headstrong and rebellious person. He refuses to be made into a soldier or a tool, valueing his freedom of movement, thought and speech before anything. He often acts before thinking, but does his best to think things through.

Weapon: His most used weapon is a simple steel pole slightly taller than him that he uses to strike enemies with and to climb up on to avoid enemy attacks. Although his prefers to fight hand to hand, he also packs a Heckler & Kosh USP.

Power Basis: His athletic ability approaches superhuman, being able to run farther, faster and longer than most people. Although he doesn't know it yet, he also has the ability to ward off attacks using something of a magnetic field that surrounds him. He cannot use it fully yet, but even without trying, he will sometimes avoid attacks that would usually hit a normal target.

Abilities: (He only has these abilities when he discovers his deflecting powers)
Reflect: Sends projectiles headed for him back to sender.
Disarm: Disarms enemies using hand to hand weapons by putting force onto their weapon to send it flying away.
Protection Field: Creates a large area that is protected from all enemies that his allies can enter. This is his most draining ability, exhausting him to the point of unconciousness if used for more than five minutes.
User Name: The Final Messenger (I Do Not See Why We Would Need This)
Character: Virgil Dolorneaz
Appearance: Avatar
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Alliance: Black Rebellion
Bio: He was born and raised in a rather small town called Fairbrook. His parents were very strict, and abusive, so when he deemed himself he was old enough, he ran away from home, hitched afew trains, and repeated the process for years, until one day when he was 13, he saw what could only be described as a festival, or carnival, which in reality was Twistopia, one of the most evil, if not the most evil, place in the world. When he was there he witnessed the horrors firsthand, and nearly became shaded, but overcame it and nearly had to fight his way out. About a year later he met up with the Black Rebellion, rolewise he could command a group but prefers to work alone. He rarely ever speaks around other members of the Black Rebellion, unless he has a close bond or respects said member, and due to this attitude most people tend to stay away from him.
Personality: He is foul mouthed, almost sadistic in his love of combat, dutiful, polite, and intelligent with a dry, ironic sense of humor and merciless disposition toward the enemies of his friends.
Weapon: For emergencies a custom-made .454 caliber pistol called Kasuru, and in regular battle he uses 10 very long, and very thin high velocity monomolecular razor wires
Power Basis: Razor Wind; Using his Agility and Acrobatic ability and Razor Wire Weaponry He Eliminates his Enemies One by One
Abilities:
Cat's Cradle: Uses his razor wires to make a steel hard barrier
Puppeteer: Wraps his wires around enemies and controls their limbs
Shredder: Wraps his wires around his enemy(ies), stops their movement, and with a simple hand gesture, rips them to shreds

Revolution 10: Throws his wires around him before he starts spinning, which should easily slash anyone in a 2 meter radius, in half

User Name:Spazix
Character: Twisted Obsidius Mephisto
"Current" Appearance: Open Black Duster coat with skull images down each side where buttons are, black louse "Jeans" with eye buckle belt, no shirt but a black "T" tattoo on his chest. Black short messy "Lunatic" hair, a single skeleton earing. Often wearing the traditional maniac smile.
"Current" Gender: Male
Age: ????
Alliance: Twistopia, Overlord/Insaniac
Bio: Calling him crazy just barely scratches the surface of this manipulative nut job, the main enemy of the black rebellion. Twisted is a demon, plain and simple. He enters a world, corrupts it from the inside out making himself an image of worship, and then watches and laughs as the world starts to collapse into chaos around him. He thinks nothing of pain or the value of life, simply reveling in the fun of his own twisted game, not caring who he uses in the process. He doesn't even have any motivation or reason to either: Destroying just because he can and it's fun. What he is or where he came from is a mystery to all but Connor, the likes of whom says your better off NOT knowing that truth.
Role wise, he is the main antagonist of the entire story, and the leader of the seats of sin. Without opposition, he has built himself an almost impenetrable force, containing his own armada of shades, the support of the general populace, and his own little "Family", the seats of sins. But if he does have one weakness, it's his almost unphasible self confidence: lost in his little twisted paradise, he values himself untouchable, near immortal (doesn't help that he kinda is). Little does he know, hidden in the shadows where he himself used to dwell, The rebellion is rising.
Personality:Erratic, Warped, Unpredictable and a slight bit egotistical, he feels everything is a game putting no value on life itself. It's almost impossible to tell what's he's thinking, if he's even capable of rational thought in the first place. And yet, even with his rather obvious instability, to control all of his mass forces and still appeal to the general public of various lands, he must have some form of mental stability. Or perhaps he's just so crazy, he can occasionally appear sane. No one really knows.
Weapon: X-acto knife like blades on his finger tips, acting like claws or talons.
Shadow Masters Talon: A three clawed talon necklace with a dark red gem in the middle. When illuminated, draws shadows out toward it, regardless of other light sources.
Power Basis: Supreme Shadow Manipulation: Bends shadows around him to do as he wishes. However, shadows of living things cannot be manipulated unless the soul is weakened (Aka, Sleeping, Near Death, or under the influence of twisteds mind trap.)
Insaniac: He draws power from the collective insanity and instability of everyone around him. He can instigate insanity in the weak minded by trapping them inside their mind and preying on their fears, doubts, and regrets. However, those with a strong will power have a higher resistance to this effect.
Abilities: Mind Trap: Locks weak the weak minded inside their own mind, feeding them images of fear and regret until they snap. On the strong willed or immune, twisted himself must enter the mind. A partial immunity is granted to those who survive the weaker version of the mind trap.
Shadow Lash: Forms shadows of inanimate objects into whip or tendril like strip's and binds or whips foe's.
Maniac Rush: Rushes the foe, attacking with claws and limbs in a sporadic and flailing like manor.
Shadow Wall: Raises a shadowy Wall, putting a barrier between him and his enemy. Can be sent at foes to crush them.
Black light: Uses Shadow Masters Talon to provided "ammo" for his shadow based attacks.
Shading: Creates shades using mind trap to trap people inside their insanity and then binds the persons shadow together with the left over vassal.

User Name: PikaPerson01
Character: Hubris
Appearance: Five foot four inches, not counting the hair. Slender and athletic build.

Long blonde hair, parted in the middle and extended through two odd cone like hats, extending outward and dangling downward, reaching about 3 feet down. A single large pink rose is planted upon the right side of her hair.

Her pale face is highlighted by a bright pink shadow all around her eyes, and down her cheeks in the shape of a teardrop. It is unknown if this effect is achieved through makeup or otherwise.

Checker board pattern tights hug her legs, and a black and pink jester-like dress decorates the rest of her petite frame. Her dress has long sleeves that curve outwards, yet the section that is meant towards covering her hips and backside is rather short. Her costume is also decorated with bells every which place.

Her shoes are typical jester shoes, longer then they need to be, and each ending with a jingly bell.

Gender: Appears to be female
Age: Appears to be in her early to mid teens, though difficult to tell.
Alliance: Twistopia, Pride
Bio:
If there was one icon to the Twistopia festival, some would agree it to be there mascot-slash-vendor-slash-clown-slash-everything else, Hubris. Not much is known about her true motivation or where she came from, due to the fact that she does not speak; only nod, shake her head, or giggle from time to time, but from what travelers can say is that the pint sized blonde is a delight.

She appears to the guests of the park, showing up at any random location, and typically offers assistance in guiding them to the next section of the festival or wherever else they need to go. Due to the fact that she shows up at the most oddest of places, with that ever present painted on smile, and also due to the fact that she frequently gets to a location before the other patrons who just saw her, it is believed by many that Hubris is merely a collection of girls, probably about 20 of them or so, each set up somewhere in the park to help any lost tourists and give the illusion that it's just one girl.

Her primary job at the park is to perform simple clown duties. Juggling is a specialty of hers, as is pin point accuracy for chopping fruits off other peoples heads with her very sharp earrings from rather far away. At other times, she will fill in for other acts such as magicians or lion tamers.

When not clowning around to entertain the masses, she can typically be seen manning a cash register, sweeping, doing park security, selling balloons or concessions, or any other odd job that may need doing. She will however, always be willing to stop what she's doing to help a patron find his way. A reviewer for a local magazine put it best when he said: "Hubris leads to many of the other sins at the festival."

Guests of the park truly agree, the girl(s?) must really take great pride in their work at the festival.

Personality: Despite the rather... sinister organization she appears to be a part of, Hubris appears to be the most genuinely upbeat and nicest of the group. She appears to be rather naive and childlike in regards to the whole thing. As her true motives are unknown, it is unclear whether it is all a giant facade or whether she is truly an amicable person.
Weapon: Two grenades, which she hides... somewhere on her person... and two razor sharp earrings she uses as throwing stars.
Power Basis: Inner Strength. While she's not quite good at clearing a room, she excels at hand to hand combat.
Abilities:
Harmony - The ability to duplicate items endlessly. Typically used on her earrings and on her grenades for ranged attacks, though they say it has many other uses...
Tempo - An increase in her flexibility, agility, gymnastic skills, and other such things. It allows her to jump about 20 or 30 feet, as well run around, oh let's say, 30 or so mph without breaking a sweat. Some who have seen this ability in action may help lay credence to the rumours that Hubris is just one person.
Resonance - An increase in physical strength. Some patrons of the park claim to have seen her easily lift a truck while sweeping, though it was probably all hearsay and rumours, and she may have just merely set it all up as a prank on other patrons.
????: (due to plot relativity, this technique shall remain hidden.)
User Name: SPA7X
Character: Weaver
Appearance: Grey messy hair, gold laruel, grey eyes, wears a grey hoodie with far to long sleeves and black pants with a gold belt.
Gender: Male
Age: by appearence: 19
Alliance: Twistopia, Greed
Bio: One of the two "Original Sins", he and void are the only ones left from Twisteds original seven sins. In truth, even he isn't very "original" either. He actually started off as the seat of sloth instead of greed, seizing the 2nd seat as soon as it's current occupant was, well, "dissposed of". As for before he became a sin, it is believed he was once a sort of healer to his people, who (in the middle of a war) often made him fight regardless of his hatred of any sort of physical activity. Needless to say, one visit from twisted and the fall of his hated home later and he became the first sin of Sloth.
Rolewise, he has taken a much more active role in twistopia's production ever since becoming the seat of greed. Using his powers, he controls many of the higher ups of each nation, making sure their pesky government doesn't get in the way of twisteds going ons. It also seems he knows a bit about Marcus' past, but as for what it is only guessed at. He holds a high regard and almost cautiousness to the filler of the 4th seat however, for he worries that they might try to do the same thing to get to his current position as he did long ago...
Personality: With laziness a little less than the 4th seat, he takes the most immense joy in controling the world twisted corrupts: treating them like his own personal playthings.
Weapon: 10 Self generated "life threads" which can be woven into matter, hence his name.
Power Basis: Generating weaponry to gain the other hand or also acting as a healer of sorts for twistopia.
Abilities: Matter weave: Weaves weapons and other inadamit objects out of his life threads. The more complex and larger the design, the longer the weave, though he has gotten quite good at Rapiers. Matter will eventuall unravel after a while of being disconected from his threads. Liquid matter is impossible to weave.
Stitch: Weaves closed cuts and wounds as though they had never happened. Rather difficult in the heat of battle, so usually an aftermath abillity.
Body Puppet: Connects his threads to a living being and uses them like a puppet. Only one at a time. (not gonna do it to characters other than my own)
Rethread: Breaks down matter into threads which are stored in his gloves.

User Name: (Playable)
Character: Void
Appearance: Covered from head to toe in what appears to be a crimson straight jacket/Bandages, binding his body completely with exception to his wrists and hands. The only viewable feature to him is his bloodshot, red eyes. Sorta resembles a mummy bathed in blood.
Gender: Male
Age: ????
Alliance: Twistopia, Gluttony
Bio: A being of great power, bound in blood sealed bandages forever by those who feared him, his power is great. His true past is completely unknown, he himself having forgotten what it truely is, but what is important about him is what he does for Twistopia as a whole: It's through his power that Twisted and the other sins are able to leap from world to world, using his spacial abillities and powers to create doorways and bridges between them and the Twisted Dimensia, the sins pocket dimension. He has been with Twisted the longest, being one of the "original sins" along with Weaver and is supposed to be the one who brought twisted out of his original world. Since joining the sins, the seal on his bandages has been slowly releasing, to the point where with effort he can move his hands and wrists again, but little more.
Shades. That word keeps getting thrown around here doesn't it? So what is a shade? Well, shades take the role of the mindless servants of Twisted, and as such, also under the command of the sins as well. As for what they are exactly, thats a little difficult. The basic idea of a shade is a sentient body fused with it's shadow, turning it into a strange, usually mindless creature. How this works is even more complex. To successfully create a shade, twisted needs the following: A living Vassal, in order to give a shade form and life; a decent enough shadow to bind, in order to give twisted control; and a weak, preoccupied soul, to give the shade power. Why preoccupied you ask? When the mind is preoccupied, it weakens the souls ties to the body and shadow, allowing twisted to better manipulate both, while still drawing power from the soul itself. And seeing as twisted is the embodiment of insanity, the best way he can find to preoccupy the soul is to drive others to insanity as well by tapping them inside their own madness, using their doubts and fears to chip away at whatever mental blocks they have left until they break. Once twisted has all the required "Materials", the actual transformation only takes a matter of minutes, with the soul inside usually having no idea of what is happening to what used to be it's body. This leads to the question: Is killing a shade, killing a person? Believe it or not, the answer is no. When a shade is "Damaged", what is actually happening is the bond between body and shadow is being weakened. So when a shade is defeated, the bond is completely separated, reverting the person back to their original state (though the madness effect will still partially be in effect, so the being will be rendered unconscious until it to weakens and dissipates). Unfortunately, there are shades who don't follow this rule, and for them their is no salvation. But those kinds of shades are very rare, and hard to kill anyway.

One of the first things you should know about a shade is that they actually come in three overall categories, determined by the state of the shades soul: Whole Shades, Broken Shades and Willings.
Whole Shades, the weakest and most common group, are what comes immediately after a shading. They take the same basic form of the creature they where made from, the only difference is that they are now a 3D shadow of that creature, as if some one had taken away all there color and replaced it with black. The only other difference is that like all shades, these shades have no shadow, a feature that is overlooked seeing as shades in public either blend in with shadows around them or are conveniently place in rooms with "Dim Lighting". At this point in the shades existence, the soul is still trapped within it's own insanity, desperately attempting to break free while it's body acts on whatever orders twisted assigns it. Their abilities are rather limited at this point in their existence, being able to shift parts of their shadowy bodies (Usually their arms) in to various forms (Usually Weapons). Their "Flexibility" depends on how close to the breaking point their soul is: The closer a soul is to breaking, the more flexible and more powerful the whole. Though as most Black Rebellion are required to know, the one part of their body they are unable to shift is their head, making it essentially a weak point. Other than that, the only other abilities they have are the ability to melt into inanimate shadows to hide or escape and slightly enhanced strength.
"I can smell it everyone... The smell of fear, such ripe, untapped potential! This city, is perfect my good friends. Yes tonight will be a great night indeed..."
----------------------------------------------------

Dusk begins to fall over the world. The shadows of the trees touched a building long forgotten by the society inhabiting the world, vines entwining themselves with the old structure, both aiding and destroying it. But with in this Abandoned warehouse, unopened crates of junk scattering the inner floor, life re-enters this abondened world. A single form, soon followed by 2 others. The group of three observed the silence, as though inspecting it.

"... Alright Gabreil, it's clear. Set up the base." The one called Gabreil, a tanned teen nodded pulling out a black box... no, Octahedron, and set it upon the floor. The shape seperated, opening into two pyramids. In the center between the two pyramids a red crystal remained, it's eerie light filled the room, shadows pulling out from the walls as though drawn to it. At the same time, the pyramids began to spin in opposite directions, the shadows wrapping around them. Eventually, in the center of the room, was now a shadowy collumn, the only color other than black was the glow of the red crystal in the center, only slightly dimmed. "And now the magic begins..."

The gem flashed, releasing some of the shadow, coating the room as though with paint. One flash was followed by another, the column growing ever thinner as the objects coated in shadow started to take different forms: Crates becoming sofa's and chairs, other things becoming tables, and even a slight few becoming beds. When all was said and done, what was a empty room of crates was now a club house of shadowy objects. "And now a little light," Flames cloaked one of the boys hands. He held his palms out and watched tiny will o the wisps imbed themselves in the shadowy walls, illuminating the room sufficantly.

"Excellent work the both of you. Gabe, Marcus. You both did excellently. And now..." The boy sat down around a meeting table, setting his rather heavy bag on the floor as he did. "We can do nothing but wait. For the Black Rebellion, meets tonight..."

----------------------------------------------------

In a grand city close to the ware house, the populace was abuzz. Children clinged to a tall metal fence, the inside usually empty lot filled now with black tents. And withing the center of that all sat a man on a black elevated throne. A man who wasn't a Man. A man who was a monster. A man named twisted. "Yes, it is almost time... the sun is my only enemy now. But soon, very soon," He shifted into a different position, lying upside down in his big chair. A gang of 7 obscured figures stood behind him, watching the crazed and exicted leader. "That right, Ladies and Gentlemen of Almian. Soon your world... will be all mine..."

Virgil walked in with a bored face on, as the youngest of the Black Rebellion this was normal unless he got to fight and slash or hurt people. He sat on the floor and stared at the red gem and the darkness, and said, "so what now, we wait, and for what? the Twisted and his 7 Seats to go shade more people?" He stood up and moved his fingers around and suddenly the floor had afew slash marks in it, but if you where there you could have seen some light flashing of the wires that were tied around his fingers. He looked around at the solemn group and sighed before saying, "so what's this meeting about now?"

Heikichi ran through the abandoned district of the city, one of his favourite stomping grounds. It was quiet, no traffic and no cops to bust him as he ran across rooftops. He quickly scaled the roof of one of the warehouses by clambering up the wall nearly four metres to grab a handhold before jumping off that handhold to the roof above. When he got to the top, he scannned the darkening horizon to find one warehouse in particular. Earlier, he had gotten a slip of paper from the Black Rebellion requesting his presence in an abandoned warehouse. Considering that the abandoned warehouse was among several other abandoned warehouses, Heikichi felt like he was trying to find a needle in a haystack.
"What warehouse could they be talking about? Geez, they could've been a little more specific..." Heikichi thought angrily to himself as he scanned the district. After a few minutes, he dropped down from the roof and ran down the street to continue looking. After checking the inside of three warehouses, Heikichi started to consider calling it a night and give up the search. Before he could turn back, he noticed one of the warehouses had light coming from the windows. Heikichi felt like assuming that it was just a bunch of homeless to found shelter, but since he was already here, he decided to investigate. He quickly made his way to one of the doors and knocked. While he waited, he noticed how bad shape the warehouse was. Even though all of the warehouses in the area were abandoned, this one was in exceptionally bad shap, with trees growing into the wallls as if they were a part of the structure. Heikichi began to think that knocking on the door was a bad idea. Heikichi got poised to run off if the hobos were angry.

Marcus' eyes narrowed on Virgil, the likes of whom had arrived rather quickly for their youngest member. "It'd be wise for one who has so little experiance in existance to gain a little patience. That is, unless you plan on dying early." Those last words struck an odd tone, more of survival advice than a threat, but still threatening nonetheless. But before anything else was allowed to escalate, the tension was broken by the warehouse's metal door, and the unknown guest behind it. Marcus tensed. Even though they were expecting others, the chance was still high that twisted could come near.

"Relax." Connor who had been sitting casualy finally spoke up. As he did though his eyes seemed to be glued shut, and his shadow had strangely dissappeared. "Shadow Man says it's a Rebel. Gabe, if you would." The door open slowly due to it's weight, but eventually Heikichi was greeted by familiar faces as he walked inside. "Hello there. I trust you didn't have any trouble finding us, Heikichi?"

She had been informed to meet at the abandoned warehouse, but traveling through the dead, decaying district, just about every one of these buildings seemed to match the description she was given. As she continued down the dark alleys she managed to spot a shadow above her. It appeared to be a figure jumping about the rooftops.

Never quite the jumper, she used the ribbons on the ends of her blades to latch onto a nearby fire escape. She pulled herself up, then looked around.

"Hey!" she called out, but it seemed the young man was long gone.

She quickly rushed to the other end of the building top, and managed to spot the young man heading inside.

She jumped down the side of the building, striking her blade into the warehouse's facade, hoping to slow her descent. It worked mildly well, though she staggered to reclaim her footing as she landed.

Slightly out of breath, she hurried onward to the warehouse she had seen the boy entering.

"H-hey!" she declared excitedly, happy to see so many warm faces she recognized. "I'm not late am I?"

Heikichi felt like getting angry at Connor for his sub-par description of the meeting place, but he knew that he wouldn't get anywhere by getting angry. He was already there anyways.
"Well, your description was an abandoned warehouse in the abandoned warehouse district. I'll let you figure out how easy it was for me to find this place," Heikichi said sarcastically, not keeping his anger in check as well as he had hoped. Heikichi took a deep breath before continuing.
"Never mind that. You guys sure fixed this place up well though. Where did you find the time to turn a warehouse into a clubhouse anyways?" Heikichi asked as he took a look around. The warehouse was brightly lit from unseen sources and was furnished with comfy sofas and even a few beds. The clubhouse even reminded him of his own lounge back when he lived with his parents. Heikichi banished the thought as soon as he connected it with he parents. He preferred not to think about his parents. At all.

When Thorn walked in behind him, Heikichi was caught almost entirely off guard. Heikichi jumped and span around. Once he realized it was not an angry hobo or irate cop who had sneaked up behind up, Heikichi sighed with relief.
"Oh, it's you Thorn. You scared the hell out of me for a second there."

Virgil was pacing around the warehouse contemplating if it were a good idea to go to the warehouse in the first place, he came to the conclusion that if he didn't or did it would make nearly no difference seeing as he tunes out all of the uninteresting crud the others were talking about, then Thorn and Heikichi came in, and Thorn asked if she was late, to which Virgil replied in his ever Virgil-y voice, "no, not that I think so, but I was the first here other than them who are holding the meeting so if I were late, everyone after me would be late, which I don't think is the case here."

She stepped in, a polite nod or bow to all those who had shown up. "Ah, sorry to have snuck up on you Heiki-chan." she giggled once before hugging the young man from behind, placing her arms around his waist, resting her head on his shoulder and pulling him in tightly. She smiled, then placed her hands on his shoulders. "Let's find a seat."

She guided him towards a sitting area and sat down next to him. As she walked, the youngest member among their troops spoke up, a tone of snark to his voice.

"Uhh... okay!" she insisted, nodding and agreeing, though not a hundred percent sure what he had said.

She looked around a bit, not many people had arrived yet, before raising her hand. Not waiting to be called on, the young lady rose to the occasion.

"Uh, with each passing minute, the dark festival grows ever stronger. Because of this, I suggest we should begin as soon as possible. If more people arrive late, we'll just fill them in as best we can whenever we get the chance." A serious expression on her face, then a smile as she rubbed the back of her head. "R-right Conner?"

Virgil sat back down and waited for abit until Thorn spoke up about starting without the others and filling them in later, "sounds good to me," Virgil replied, voice sounding incredibly bored as of now, "but," he continued, "I think we should decide soon, I hear there's gonna be a Twistopia in a town or city called Almian, whoch I hear is this city, and it's held somewhat close to us, so there might be a chance afterwards they'll come and search for us or something."

Connor smiled as he watched Thorn and Heikichi sit down around the table, the female founder acting her usual self, before turning to address the group. "Normally, I'd agree with you both. The more time we give "them", the less time we have to stop it. But luckily, we still have a little time to plan and strategize, and this meeting especially is very important."

"First of," Connor began again. "I'll start by confirming the rumor that The festival of fear is coming here, Tonight in fact. It has been a long time since we were able to catch up to twisted while the fest is going on, and that's why I made sure to call this meeting: to make sure we don't screw this chance up. Marcus, what did you and gabe find out?"Gabriel, now getting his chance to speak straightned up in his chair. He smiled as he began, a small sarcastic tone in his voice. "Well, basically we've gotten the time place and cost, so basically we have almost nothing." Where Gabe stopped, Marcus picked up.

"It's the same story as everywhere before. Twisted enters the city and sets up his festival in some sort of abandoned parking lot, this time Ironically, the devils set up shop in the giant parking lot behind the church. The festival begins at sunset, and goes to 12:00, ending with Twisted "Big Finale" in his traditional big top. And that's where we come in."

Connor nodded. "Right. The basic plan everyone is the same: We're going to sneak into the festival, monitor the activities, and quietly get rid of as many shades as possible, up until the finalle. It will be either during or after the Finalle when twisted will become active. At this point I'd like to remind everyone of the normal procedures for our raids:

Never attack a shade in public. As far as the general populace knows, they are just men in black costumes, so do it quietly, in a way no one can see.

If you do take care of them, make sure none of the shades who see escape. As far as we know, Twisted doesn't even know we exist, and I'd like to keep it that way

Never go alone. Once we enter, we're on enemy grounds and anything can happen. Groups of two or three would be best.

Try to blend in. Now i'm not saying you should enjoy the thing that we all hate, but try to make it seem like we're not there to kill things.

Never, and I repeat NEVER contact or engage to Twisted. There is no way you can take him so don't even try.
We're not making a full huge assult now, so be quiet and careful. That's also the reason we're only taking a few people, the rest are out patroling the city. And not that thats out of the way," Connor leaned back and took a breath. "Any questions?"

Virgil raised his hand and stood up, "I have a question: When do we start?" Virgil said in his 'I really, really, really, wanna kick some Twistopia ay-ess-ess' voice. He smirked and sat back down, letting Connor and Marcus think about what he had just said, but he stood again and said, "everyone. Might wanna make it quick becuase Twistopia starts soon." He sat back down and started playing cat's cradle with his razor wires. "Oh, and I'm afraid of the creepy clown girl who walks around and does whatever" Virgil piped up, recalling his last Twistopia encounter.

Heikichi felt his face flush red when Thorn gave him a hug from behind he didn't expect. He stood completely stunned for a second with a bewildered expression on his face. When he recovered from the initial shock, Heikichi attempted to regain composure and took a seat. Heikichi had no idea why he reacted that way. Most of the time, he was able to be a ladies' man, but for some reason, Thorn was different. Heikichi looked up at Thorn, who was proposing something about the festival. Heikichi noticed that she had a striking resemblance to...

Heikichi's mind flooded with all the memories of Naoko; all the sadness, regret and anger bubbled to the surface of his conciousness. Heikichi clenched his fists as he tried to keep his emotions in check. To try to get his mind off his anger he followed along with the conversation at hand.
"Wait, if you can't attack the shades in public, we won't get to attack them at all considering that Twisted's festival is always packed with people."

"Believe it or not, the sheer mass of people their will help us." Connor replied. "Between the tents are usually long alleyways, Places that most people have no buisness going and usually don't. Shades tend to hind there, when they can't stand the tourists badgering them."

Marcus looked straight at Virgil, silently judging him. He had spunk, but for someone so young that was to be expected. But with that witty, and impatient personalllity held as many problems as it did benefits. The boy had talent... but what ever talent he really had would only be surpressed by that problematic personallity. "Calm yourself Virgil. The sun is still at mid-dusk, and the demon preffers to play at night. We leave once the teams have been decided. And speaking of teams..."
Marcus shifted his gaze over to Conner who looked at him curiously. "Connor, I'd would like Virgil to accompany me in this raid. Will that be acceptable?" The boy in Black smiled at this. "What could he be thinking..." He thought to himself before responding. "I have no objections, but the final decision is up to Virgil. Are there any other requests for teams?"

The red headed young lady took the hand of the boy sitting next to her and stood up. "Oh! Us! Me and Heiki-chan would make a great team, right?" She looked at him eagerly, hoping to hear Heikichi respond in the affirmative.

"Oh, also I have an idea. It... maybe be a bit controversial, so I'd-" she let go of Heikichi's hand and played with her hair absentmindedly, letting her gaze wander. "Like to hear your thoughts Conner."

Blushing lightly, she nodded, hoping her idea wouldn't be too far fetched. "I got the idea from watching the little clown girl doing a magic trick a year or two back. She wheeled in a box and shoved in about ten or so shades. A little wave of her hands for dramatic effect, and they all disappeared." She thought back to it, how whimsical and childlike it looked at the time, how she and her brother had been spellbound by the little pre-teens magic act. And how horrifying it was in hindsight.

"Maybe... some of us could... pretend to be part of the acts? I mean, think about it. Dress like magicians or clowns or something and fight the shades in broad daylight. The crowd would think it were all part of the show." Though truth be told, it was just an excuse for her to dress up. "What do you think?" She smiled politely.

Connor thought about it. It was a moderately good idea, but it had a bit of a major flaw. "It would possibly work, but we'd run the risk of being noticed. Other than the clown girl, I'm not sure if twisted has anyother non-shades work twistopia, and even she I'm not sure is human. Also we'd have to do it somewhere away from twisteds big top, or he might get wind and get suspicious. Although..." He stopped for a minute to think. "I think I'll keep it in mind for the future. I don't think this is the best time to do that though, seeing as the area will be small and this is our first time in a while where we've been in the same place as the fest. Otherwise I'd agree.

The boy went to look away when he remembered something. "Oh right, I almost forgot but Thorn I want to talk to you about something before we go. I have a feeling it's something you wouldn't want discussed around everyone, so come see me in a bit. Alright everyone, as far as my partner is concerned I think he'll be here shortly. Gabriel will stay here at the base, and gabe, remember: If we don't come back within 2 hours, assume the worst. Everyone start getting ready. We leave shortly."

"Hmm..." she thought about it, and all at once she almost felt ashamed for bringing it up. This being the first night, there was no telling how many would be in attendance. Secondly, she didn't even know if the Shades would volunteer for what they put up with. Sure, they'd volunteer for the little mute girl, but there was no telling what would happen individually.

She cringed at her own idiocy and tried to turn away, blushing furiously.

She tried to sit down, to sink into nothingness, but her leader's words caught her back up. "Huh?" she quickly tried to compose herself. "Well... whatever you think is best." she smiled weakly.

She turned to the boy she sat rather close with. "You'll be okay without me, right Heiki-chan?"

"Sure I guess I'll team with you Marcus, I really don't care who I team with," Virgil said attempting to undo the know of his wires without cutting off his fingers. He finally unknotted it when Conner told Thorn to talk to him in private or something, when the two left Virgil said, "and then there were four," and proceeded to climb the walls with his wires that could act as anything from rope to dental floss, he got to the roof and looked about the place he sighed and started humming a sad tune before looking down at his allies through a hole in the roof and said, "I could leave rght now and fight on my own, I'd die, but in the Black Rebellion I'd pribably die anyway, but I can't leave my allies behind." He wanted to jump building to building to get to Twistopia but he resisted the urge and jumped down through the cieling, and subsequently, landed on an unsuspecting mouse while saying "hey guys, I'mma back!"

"Oh...I guess I'll be fine then," Heikichi replied, a little discouraged. He had gotten his hopes up for some reason. Perhaps it was the thought of being teamed up with an attractive woman. Heikichi sighed as he got up and walked around the clubhouse, waiting for the leader to come back with the rest of the debrief. Not seeing anything to do, Heikichi took out his handgun to fiddle with. He checked the clip, cocked it a few times and aimed it around. He hasn't used it since he bought it. He never thought of using it against a cop, since that would trigger a manhunt and it wasn't worth it. Heikichi only bought the pistol when the time came to fight Twisted and his army of shades. He put it away, now with nothing to do.
"Wait. If I'm not teamed up with Thorn, then who am I being teamed up with then?

"D'aww.. is Heiki-chan gonna miss his buddy Thorn?" She sauntered up to the boy and hugged him once more from behind. "Don't worry, I think it's only gonna be a temporary thing." Still leaning on the boy, she turned her head back to Conner. "R-right?"

She then turned back towards Heikichi, still holding him close and resting her head on his shoulder. "Just pack up your supplies and go on ahead of me. I'll catch up."

She let go. "The last time you saw me was almost a year ago. I can run way faster then I did back then." She smiled, then turned her attention over to the leader.

Assuming they were in private, she began to speak. "So, what's up Captain?" She gave a quick joking salute with her left.

"You know, I never said you and Heikichi couldn't pair up for this." Connor said casually as Thorn walked up to him. "It's ultimately up to both of you. But Rosie..."
He looked her in the eyes, a mixed look of seriousness and concern on his face. "How are you... You know, holding up without him? It hit us all hard when we... when Amir dissapeared, he was good leader and a friend, even if young. But now that it's been over a year, well..." He paused for a bit thinking over how to say this without coming off as rude or awkward. "I just want to know if you're ok. I mean, you haven't talked about him for a few weeks now. Some of the others are worried you're trying to forget him, but I have a good feeling that's not the case. So just... Tell me what's on your mind. I know it's hard for you, but it'll be better to talk about it than keep it bottled up."

A pained expression on her face. She tried to look away. After all, she had built herself up to be a tough general and leader to everyone in the group, and looking on the verge of tears was not how she wanted to be seen, even if it was with someone like Conner.

"I..." she stammered, looking down and covering her face. She had to stay strong. "Look, it's okay." she spoke curtly.

Deep breathe in, she tried to return the mask. She lifted her hair and looked Conner straight in the eye. "Besides, I have Heiki-chan as a little brother now." she smiled, or at least tried to. Even though they were the same age, and he probably a month or two older, she stood a commanding one inch taller then him, at 5 foot seven, and therefore had decreed herself his big sister.

"Besides, you don't need less eyes and ears at the festival, r-right?" she smiled. Busying herself with work was one of the few ways she could maange.

"Honestly Conner, sometimes you worry too much." She giggled. "With that said, perhaps we should get on with our siege of the carnival?"

Connor smiled. He knew she was faking being ok, but at least that meant she wasn't letting her emotions get the best of her. "Alright, if you say your good I'll believe you. But remember, if you need to talk about anything, we're all here to help." He picked up his black bag, slinging it over his shoulder as he started heading with her back to the group.

"Keep on eye on Heikichi. He was acting a bit odd today. I don't think it's anything serious, but you know. With what happened to him and all, I think you and him could relate. Oh and Thorn," He waited till she stopped and turned around. "Be careful."

With those last words, he rejoined the group formed at the door. "Alright everyone, it's time to go." With that he headed out side and started on the path the Twistopia, Marcus and the others doing the same. And so the night began.

Virgil somehow got on the roof when the group departed for Twistopia and started doing parkour across the rooftops, he saw the others and kept going. Pretty soon he ran out of buildings and resorted to running on the ground where he met up with the group again, and soon closed in on Twistopia, the Devil's Carnival, he slowed down and tried to act casual, which was somewhat good, but seemed tad suspicious, so he composed himself and started walking like any normal person would do.

The blonde headed circus star was all smiles as she saw the next group approaching. As far as she knew, more people meant more fun and more people to appreciate how awesome she was.

Holding about twenty or thiry balloons, she did a one handed cartwheel towards the group, not taking into account she was wearing a very short dress. However, it seemed it had ignored the flow of gravity, and rather kept it's shape even as she was upside down. Whether it was due to a fixed costume or some temporary error in the way physics worked was yet to be seen.

Her large red eyes stared, unflinching at the group. She seemed to take an exceptional interest on one of them in particular, he had quite a... unique air about him. Her frozen smile looked at the young boy, a boy about 16. And all at once, a sound emenated from her. A quiet little giggle.

After feeling she had done the necessary, her hand protruded outward all of a sudden, in one swift motion. Stopping about an inch or two from his chest, it was a balloon. A bright, pink balloon matching her costume's colour scheme with the words "tWiStOpIa" written on it.

She then continued, handing out balloons to a few other, non-Black Rebellion participants.
