I wondered if anybody ever thought about this, what if the Mayans never finished their calendars? What if when they disappeared they left 2012 as their unfinished calendars and all of this other bullshit is just a big misunderstanding?

It doesn't "end" anymore than the gregorian calender "ends" on december 31st... you just start the cycle over again.

Apocalypse-Greek-To reveal or to unveil...
In 2012 Dan Browns book The Lost Symbol becomes a book...
The truth will be revealed... An apocalypse will take place... I await the third Enlightenment...
[/quote]
But The Lost Symbol is already a book...

I wonder when these Enlightenments are going to stick?

ok at first i didn't think this was true, but then with the tsunami and the earthquake it seems more likely, (the main thing that convinced me was irelands eurovision choice). then i found out that the earthquake slightly moved the earths axsis shortening the day (less than second but still). now with the NUCLEAR MELTDOWN scare, oh and the problems in lybia where a politcal war is slowly appearing, it is seeming all the more likely with each passing day that were screwed.

Humanity was always screwed, but now it just seems more obvious.

"Hey, why did you make the calander end on December 21st 2012?"
"I ran out of space on the rock"
"Couldn't you have gotten another one?"
"We ran out of rocks"

The next person who thinks this is how the Mayan calendar works I will skullf*** with a rusty jack-knife.

I predict Humanity will live on in a permanent enlightenment and humanity will be wiped out in 2,012,000,000

It's not really all that shocking because the meltdown, tsunami, volcano, and most of the issues were indirectly and directly caused by the 8.9 Earthquake. The major problem I would like to add to about the 2012 mayan calendar is that their calendars don't follow our calendar. . .

He pretty much said we'd reach enlightment and become one with God or whatever holy being exist(or plane) and live forever but than die in like billions of years because apparently we pissed off that God?

Thought that would be pretty awesome if true

it was a joke, not an actual argument agianst the reallity of a doomsday on 2012. Either way, if anything is going to happen, its the New World Order theory, but even THATS not going to happen.

Yes, which is why you should know that the date December 21 2012 was translated from the Mayan calendar to what it is according to our calendar.
For example:
Day
Mayan:1---2---3---4---5---6
Ours: -1----2----3----4----5
Day six of the Mayan calendar is, let's say the year 1115, it happens to fall on 2012 on our calendar, so that's where we got the date.
No, this isn't actual Mayan time, or very accurate, it's just a quick example.
