There is only one problem with the game so far (haven't played a lot sadly) and that is the amount of cut scenes. Sure we have to learn the history of Samus in this game but a lot of them are not necessary or could have been way shorter. Everything else is awesome: the controls, the graphic, the story line, etc.

X-Play is unreliable. One of their complaints against 358/2 Days was that it was like Scrappy Doo getting his own TV show, and they intentionally mispronounce the names in Naruto games just to annoy the fans of the series.

I have heard this game is polarizing with players though. I haven't played a Metroid game, so I'm unsure about getting this.

358/2 Days was a terrible game. Please, get some taste. It was twee, cliche and does nothing for anyone but obsessive fanboys. Get a better example.

Last I checked, Roxas was an Ensemble Darkhorse, not a Scrappy. I have no idea what your definition of whatever "twee" is, I don't really see opposite sex clones tied to memories as cliche, and they actually said the fanservice was a good thing.

My guess is that they really didn't bother with remembering that you can change the camera with the stylus. A lot of the time, they criticize games for laziness while injecting their own dose of laziness in the review. I have to agree that Samus being chickified and the problematic targeting are good critiques though.

I don't understand where your going with "chickified." If it's her body shape and over all attractiveness, yea, she's hot, but IMO they didn't go overboard with it. If it's her acting feminine why is that odd? Samus is a women like all others and no matter how strong of a character she may be that fact doesn't change, so seeing her think and act like a women shouldn't come as a shock. I'm not sure if they over played it, but I really don't think they did based on what I know about the game. Still I think the "chickified" argument comes for her body more so her actions, but again I could be wrong.

IMO the whole Adam thing is stupid. Between lossing your weapons and him being able to open and close doors really just doesn't sit right with me. I can kind of understand why she is is submissive to him though. As one of the few true friends she has I can understand why she wouldn't want to do something to anger him out of fear it might cause her to loss him. Also the fact that she lives most of her life alone, cut off from other people, means her ability to interact with others aren't as developed and only makes it more likely that she'll try to hang on to the few bonds she has made. IMO Adam is just an ass for not giving her the green ligh to use all her power ups off the bat.

I want to get this game. Also, I don't like how Gameinformer gave this game a 6.5:?

You obviously never played Super Metroid. Otherwise, you wouldn't have made such a noobish and wrong statement.

For new fans, Other M is NOT what you should start with. Other M plays completely different from normal Metroid fare. I actually played it myself today and I can honestly say that raters like X-play and the like need to learn how to rate a video game decently. Other M is different, yes. But that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable.

I know it's been said, but how could you get Other M's place wrong if the game intro starts off from the end of Super Metroid.

And speaking of the intro it is beautiful. It makes me laugh at people that see the Wii's games look bad.
