Spoon
This is it! No more entries, no more changes on existing cards! I'll judge now... but that could take some time. Expect the results in the next 12 hours ;)
Spoon
I'll now judge every card individually. Remember, this is my opinion, I'm giving out the prizes, you cannot complain. If you do, you lose the duel ;) Admiral_Stahlfos19: A popular example. Calling it a „Joke Card“ is a bit brave considering that I clearly stated that this is no Joke Card contest... however, the card itself is decent. Only problems I see is the phrase „top of your lungs“. This is hardly definable. Also it's basically a „skip your opponents turn“ card, which is hardly balanced. I give points for the fun factor (the enemy must be waiting for this, always covered in fear, like in the movie) and a little plus for originality, though there could've been done more. Anubis05: An interesting idea that actually works very well with the game without hurting the rules too much. The effect is creative and maybe even balanced, based on your alcohol level and concentration  With the black border, the picture is a bit suboptimal, but it does work and shows the cards ability quite well. A little minus at the fun factor though, because some people may have fun with brain jogging, but most of the people have not ;) chedbonlahor: Ah, the laughing matter. It's variable, depends heavily on the players voice and can have good and bad results. With the right timing, this could be fun to use. But the overall effect (Summoning a Normal Monster from your Deck) isn't that great, no major points for creativity here. It's practicable and most of the time quickly done, but repeating it for the opponent makes it a little tedious. The „effect“ of the card then wears off a bit. Lerahk174: Doesn't really work, nobody would jump because somebody shouts, and being able to judge if the enemy was shocked is highly a matter of opinion. Also it's pretty predictable and after the first activation pretty much a free lose for the user. Picture isn't that good as well. Sotos: Again, reactions are hard to guess, and the overall effect isn't very creative, just summoning and losing life points. Though I give you credit for including „They Die: You win the Duel.“ Fun Factor might be high if the player is talented at doing scary things (and if it's night), but the definition „something scary“ isn't very accurate to be honest. If it's not scary, does the effect then even activate? Galadrien: 1. card („All your base are belong to us“): The effect is okay in itself, actually balanced and fits the cards name, and trying to speak like a japanese might actually be hilarious, but what I miss is the negative side. What happens if you should fail to do so? Also „speaking English like a japanese dude“ isn't very accurate. Again, how exactly does that sound? Can't be defined, and therefor might be hilarious, but not very practicable. But again, the effect is great and makes up for it. Galadrien: 2. card („It's over 9000“): „Top of your lungs“ is, again, not definable. Also throwing stuff at your opponent could actually hurt... but the overall idea is good, the effect is creative, again in combination with it's name and the scene in the series.Galadrien: 3. card („Angry German Kid“): A downfall from the first ones. Pretty stupid, destructive and without any sense. A „you win the duel“ card that shouldn't exist. Not funny, bad picture, not original. Next! Serenity: 1. card („Speak no evil“): Nice and original effect, though I doubt a duel lasts for 26 minutes... even if you try to stall time :D But the idea is pretty unique, actually executable and could be funny in a round where everybody has to concentrate which cards to pick, but isn't able to because he or she is too drunk. Nice one.Serenity: 2. card („1 vs 1“): It's funny, but not really practical. It interrupts the game and steals the funniness away. Though the idea is unique and could actually work, it just takes too long... and doesn't have any impact on the duel (not necessarily a bad thing if it entertains, but in this case the fun factor is a bit too low for that). Also this card has nothing to do with the first, which was a criterion. Whyhellothere: 1. card („Nostalgia“): Gaining and loosing life points isn't actually the most creative kind of effect, but it does work in this case. Everybody knows the theme song, and it could actually be funny if everybody tags along. Picture is a bit meh, but it gets the job done. It's alright, but nothing to be proud of.Whyhellothere: 2. card („Wait what“): Interesting idea that really screws the rules, but doesn't interrupt the game flow. Picture is horrible, but the effect is nice and pretty creative. That could actually produce some funny moments. But, again, it doesn't follow the criterion of all cards you post being of a common theme... I guess nobody read that :(Whyhellothere: 3. card („Tester“): Short, but sweet. Another good effect that can change the course of a duel, but doesn't interrupt it unnecessarily. Also it's monster, which is not that easy to pull off. It goes partly with card number 2, but has nothing to do with card 1. Pretty solid card nontheless. Zextra: 1. card („Yugimon Crossover“): Very well executed card, nice picture and template, nice and complex effect that doesn't get in the way. Minor drawbacks are the missing fun factor and the fact that you need Pokemon Trading Cards to pull it off. Not impossible, but it could be a handicap. It's interesting to say the least.Zextra: 2. card („Falling Sensation“): Hardly executable and not universal. It takes pretty long and is only judgeable with someone who times it. Gaining life points and drawing cards aren't that great effects, and that poking in the ribs serves no real purpose other than to hurt/annoy your opponent. It's not that funny.Zextra: 3. card („Screw the Rules“): That actually made me laugh. A very good card, though you should happen to have a hairspray can ready if you want to play it. That makes it harder to pull of, but it serves a funny purpose so I'll let that slide. It's a really good card with drawbacks that may give you a striking advantage in the duel.Zextra: 4. card („McDonalds Weight Gain“): The effect is pretty neat and fits the name nicely, though it requires, again, something you don't always find nearby, which makes it harder to pull off. Also the part „gains a half pound“ just doesn't work, it also requires a scale and takes needlessly much time. Effect is original, but it's just not executable. Faun: 1. card („Ralph Wiggum“): Another card that made me laugh heavily, usually a good sign. It starts of pretty normal and then catches the player by being overly annoying. High points for the fan factor, it's actually executable (except that thing with the goose... so your opponent could be creative there as well). What I don't like is that it'll mostly end in a test of will that could devestate one of the players completely. If somebody has the courage to shout that 5 minutes, it needlessly interrupts the duel and might even be too powerful in that case. The idea is great though.Faun: 2. card („Earl, Count of Sheep“): And this made me laugh as well. Though it could take some time to pull of and therefor bring the duel to a hold, you can try to do hilarious things to keep all entertained. The last effect is unneeded... but it could be a lot of fun if you're actually sleepy enough :DFaun: 3. card („Counter Strike“): Loosing the duel is a harsh condition for not eating gummi bears, but it actually brings a whole new element to it AND it works with the other cards, which I wanted to see for a looooong time ;) That last effect doesn't even contribute to the actual duel, but it's funny and adds a bit of spice by including a wager. It concludes a series of cards that could never exist in the YGO TCG, but contribute to the idea of having fun while playing the game. Well done. Mako (I'll only go shortly over them, because there are so much of them): They all don't follow a common theme, which makes it hard to judge them as a whole. Invalid is alright, though an argument could take time and isn't very funny. Hard of Hearing is probably just annoying, and the effect isn't very creative either. Bowling, Baby! Has a nice idea that is bad executed because „strongest“ is not explained. Catastrophe follows the same theme. Also, since it's equipped face-up your opponent would just read it and therefor render the card useless. Cranial Overload is just boring, period. Sming is bad is, literally, bad, because I don't wanna smoke a cigarette, I hate it. Not funny, just cancer inducing. War has a really interesting idea, which is, again, not well exectued. You need to explain it to make it actually work. Do you accumulate the level or does each count individually? What happens at a draw? Such details must be fulfilled in order to make the cards work.  This is it, I gave my comments. Now I'll announce the winner... and that is...    FAUN    He gets the grand prize, because he brought out a real pack of cards that work together and have a common theme, are fun to use, but don't overkill anything. They are all actually useable and add a certain value to a game (drinks!). Well done, you deserve those points. The runner ups are (everybody will get 1 Rep): Anubis05, Serenity, Zextra and whyhellothere! You made at least 1 good card that surprised me or made me laugh.  Thank you for participating, I hope you had fun while creating the cards, I enjoyed all of them :) I hope to see you at my next tournament, which (I think) won't be to far away from now. Prizes will be given out as soon as I can. So long, Spoon
