aokek
What is the difference between a synchro and fusion, and where do tuners come in? And is a union just a card that gains bonuses if another card is in play?

Phantom Roxas
Have you even looked at any of those cards? Fusions typically require Polymerization and Fusion Material Monsters, but they can be summoned by other effects. Traditionally, they're summoned from the hand and/or field by taking two or more specific monsters. Synchros require a Tuner and 1-2 or more non-Tuner monsters. They have to be from the field, and the total level must be equal to the Synchro Monster you intend to summon. Unions equip themselves to other monsters. They sometimes give added effects, but mostly just serve as a one-time shield where you destroy it to protect the monster it was equipped to.
