Castlevania Judgment question

Recommended Posts

Eh, I've played it, and it's not very good. It's basically a prime example of the Wii's "Waggle Games." You're pretty much just shaking the Wiimote for attacking (sometimes in conjunction with other buttons), and that's all it really amounts to. Apparently, you can play this with Classic Controller, but all that happens is the waggling is replaced with mashing the B button.

Yeah, the game is a bit of a button mashing game. The combos are simplistic - and juggling is quite easy. Story is basic and bland (time rift) and the roster is quite limited (they needed Richter, Soma, and Sonia).

Even then, I probably wouldn't recommend it. Unless you really like Castlevania music. But then I'd just point you in the direction of Youtube.

Yeah, the music remixes were freaking AMAZING!

Sadly, a lot of people saw the game as a big flop. It could've been done a lot better, personally. The free running around wasn't really my style. It was more Soul Calibur style, it could've been better. Online wasn't really necessary. And, like I mentioned before, the roster was rather lackluster.

My big problem was the VERY repetitive gameplay. Waggle waggle waggle. Could have done with a bit more than that.

Yeah, the combos were VERY bland - and the characters weren't even well balanced. Dracula was freaking BROKEN and Golem has a horrific speed. I saw far too many people using Alucard and Shanoa (I swear, they had to be the Meta Knight and Snake of the game).

Hmm, well saying it's repetitive and all then comparing it to Soul Caliber is idiotic since Soul Calibur is one of the better fighting game series along with Tekken and Mortal Kombat. To me, button mashing or waggling isn't too big of a factor, since I do that oin Virtua Fighter. The thing I'm worried about now is that the storyline was mentoned as being boring.

STORY IN A NUTSHELL

You stumble into a timerift. Some guy named Aeon says you can find what you desire - if you pass some trials (fight people, basically). You go around and fight the other Castlevania characters in the Time Rift. Eventually, you find what you desire (either literally or figuratively) and then find out that there's a being that's keeping you in the Time Rift and he has to be destroyed to make things go back to normal - blah blah blah. Dracula isn't even the final boss for most of the characters...

And the character endings - it's just text. (falls asleep)

If that's the case, then you don't really have much to worry about with this game.
