Kiyo
But still, the first few episodes really showed Light and L's abilities and pulled off a great game of Xanatos Speed Chess (power to TV Tropes). The Lind L. Tailor trap, the way Light killed Raye and Naomi, and L showing up at school really made you want to keep watching to know what they'd do next. The suspensful feeling really just started going downhill since around Yotsuba to me. But yeah, I agree, the show's done with, no need for some sort of sequel. Tentacruel
From Wikipedia
North American Remake In 2007, the Malaysian paper The Star stated that more than ten film companies in the United States had expressed interest in the Death Note franchise.[6] The American production company Vertigo Entertainment was originally set to develop the remake, with Charley and Vlas Parlapanides as screenwriters and Roy Lee, Doug Davison, Dan Lin, and Brian Witten as producers.[19] On April 30, 2009, Variety reported that Warner Bros., the distributors for the original Japanese live-action films, had acquired the American rights for the remake, with the original screenwriters and producers still attached.[20] It has been rumored that Zac Efron is attached to the project to star[21] . Cin
Ew if he does. We don't need Death Note watched just for him. I doubt they'll ever beat Kenichi Matsuyama as L.
Kiyo
Zac'd would probably do Light, for obvious reasons.

But wasn't this announced as fake? Or maybe I'm confusing this with another fake movie... Cin
It would mean Death for Death Note, it would go main stream and be a film Zac Efron girls would just watch for him, not actually the content. Just watch the Japanese films already.
Ghoulish
yea i will but no offense to japanese actors i dunno just not very good actors IMO.
Cin
Did you see Kenichi Matsuyama I admit the actor who played Light/Raito could of been better, but Kenichi was AMAZING.
Kiyo
If it turns out to be real, WB better get Kenichi to come to the US and teach him English. I doubt anyone can do L as well as him.
Ghoulish
yea ive seenm trailers and stuff wioth him as L. and his like a mirror image of him in a way, but yea when i saw who light was i was like....how?
Cin
Sei he must know a bit of English, because there was alot of Engrish in the 3rd film in places
stevonater14
hey there is death note any good because i liked the movie but i heard the seris was abit gothic i mean i dont mind if its a little dark and spooky just not to dark if u get me
The Amazing Avian
I hope that Kenichi can learn English enough to play L in the American version, and I really hope that WB doesn't F*** this up by casting Efron as Light.
Ghoulish
stevonator watch it! It's really good the anime is great its not very gothic really, but its a mad battle of wits with light and L watch it! lol
Kiyo
Well, if you really like the movie, then watching the anime next is the sensible thing to do. Good as the movies were, you can only cover so much in six hours. (Not counting Change the WorLd.) Yes, the show is "dark and gothic", but then, weren't the movies? I've heard Light was more evil/insane in the films. Efron as Zac... Light: Ryuzaki, there's something I've been meaning to tell you... L: What is it? Light: ... ♫WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, TO FIND KIRA AND CONVICT HIM!♫ L: I think my thinking went down by 110%...
+1 rep. For some reason, I find that very funny and quite realistic. I once heard a rumor of Zac Efron being Light and that "Cyrus" girl whose name escapes me being Misa. I can actually see Zac Efron being able to pull off Light, but not necessarily Kira. However, Cyrus being Misa... hell no! Anyway, I really wish there were an anime version of the manga's alternate ending of Death Note. I still have yet to watch the Japanese movie of Death Note. Cin
I don't really see Zac being able to pull of Light. Especially his cold/calculating ways. Miley Cyrus as Misa....god people know how to butcher a good idea. The films are good, just don't watch the 3rd too much Engrish as great as Kenichi Matsuyama is. Ghoulish
i couldnt finish watching them, i dunno i didn't like the acting with the exception of a few actors
Cin
Each to their own, I could watch the 2nd over and over. Reminds me of one of those convos me and my friend Ram had at my voluntary job, a guy came in with an L t-shirt and we had a short chat about the films, trying to get Ram to watch the anime. It made me want the T-Shirt. Need more Merch with Mello.
Kiyo
The only good thing I can see about Efron and Cyrus being Light and Misa is watching them die at the end The only Disney actress I can think of that looks somewhat like Misa is Tisdale, but she doesn't have the cute, cheery look for it. Wish they'd do a short anime adaptation of Another Note. BB deserves to be animated.
Cin
That would be fun. I'd like novels to cover some of the stories mentioned in Another Note. That would be lo. Ashley Tisdale interesting choice.
Kiyo
Actually, now that I think about it, Tisdale would probably pull off Kira better than Efron.
~/Coolio Prime\~
Give a Death Note to an anarchist. That'd be fun.

Cin
We're not saying that, we just believe people would watch for him, not for Death Note.
