it's been over for awhile. Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata have moved on to better series.

Marisa Kirisame-ze
A quite brilliant series with twists and turns. I honestly enjoyed the manga waaaaay more than I ever could enjoy the anime. It has too much words/explanations to be an anime, not enough action (although there's a lot going on, most episodes just had them talking and what not). And the Los Angeles BB Murder Case novel is amazing~<3 The live actions are okay, but I feel like it's a case of bad acting on everyone besides Kenichi. Seriously, Kenichi played L waaaaay too well. It was wonderful to my eyes.
Dr. Cakey
My second-favorite anime. Why, pray tell, do you have any reason to believe Death Note is not fully over?
Marisa Kirisame-ze
'cause Light died. /ohgod spoiled
Unless the series follows another person, then it's done. And trust me, it's done. They just have side things now - like the BB novel and what not.
Cin
I enjoyed the manga more too, Mello was more crazy (I liked how when he interrogated Sochiro (I can't spell his name) he ate chocolate, as method to let Near know it was him) and Matt said more. The novel was AWESOME, I've read it 3 times. The Films were ok, the 3rd was just a disaster I can't flaw Ken'ichi Matsuyama's performance as L though, he had L to a t. Its over, Tsugumi Ohba set out with a certain number of chapters he wanted to do. We already have chapter 109 and the 13th Manga book had the 'Pilot' chapter
.Starrk
The manga was indeed the best. There were to many explanations for just 37 episodes.
Cin
That's a very true and they did the best they could in 37 episodes, heck they managed to get all 66 real rules in it.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
I like how in the manga when you compare Light in chapter one to Light in the much later chapters, his eyes are drawn much differently. Qualities as such made me enjoy the manga tons more. And now I'm pretty sure they're going to stop producing more Death Note related things unless America decides to do their version of the live action. And ohgoodness, let's hope they don't do that. Cin
I suppose its the sharpening up of Takeshi Obata's team's artwork as they went along. I admire his teams attention to detail and work. Part of me is glad they switched Mello and Near's art. I agree Death Note is done and dusted.

Professor Cobra
I liked the entire series. I even got the book version of the the third movie. It's different but makes a lot more sense. And L smiles and laughs.

Catterjune
Only watched the anime. Everything after a certain character died was just terribly drawn out. I mean, I pretty much hated every character except Misa, Light's dad, Light's sister, and Matsuda so it's not like I'm being a fangirl about it, but they honestly should have just ended the series there and it would have been alright.
