Iron Man banner

Hello everyone, seeing how I just got [i][b]Photoshop[/b][/i] last night, I tried making a banner for myself.


Banner 1: Ehh... Not so much.

Um everything needs improving.

Text background not good, its basically copy and paste. Anyone could do that.

Guys PLEASE CnC, not just just Criticize, this has become a very common probably around here lately.

What should we CnC, there's just a render and some text on a black BG.
Ohh, and a lens flare.

You could do so much more....maybe start off with something easier like paint then move onto gimp because you are not ready for the awesomness that is photoshop.....Like seta said there is nothing much to CnC. Very little effort put into these and it really doesn't matter if you barely got PS because you should have done a 1 day test day to find out all the things within it and then the next day to work on the design instead of rendering and copy and pasting....Download Gimp and PS would be much more easier...

For the Second one, I think a nicer background could help. When you make a banner try to aim for more than Text and a Render, but use effects and use the text better, so it doesn't cover the whole BG, or you will probably get spammed to hell like above. Also, the text could be more HQ, but keep working on it

Just by looking at them you can tell they've been cut out. You've got the lighting on them but the light isn't going to the background.

Not a bad banners. First of all, try earsing some text and things on the right (thats not needed at all). Try to add some things to the background, or simply put another background. I guess the better is a render with glow. Try to use this, add background, add render (and add some effects on it), and then find fractel packs. You'll find a lot here. Add them into the banner. And do some other things, and done. Im sure you could do better.
