Mehmani
Future Draw [Normal Spell Card] Declare the names of 2 cards. Look at the top 2 cards of your Deck and remove them from play. During your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation, add the removed cards to your hand. If the removed cards were any of the names you declared, you can add any other copies of them in your Deck to your hand. Link to comment
CrabHelmet
No, you get lynched if your "new concept" isn't even remotely thought-out, makes no sense, isn't even a complete card, and relies on other cards that don't exist. Here, check out this card I made: Potato Salad [Quick-Play Trap Card] Your opponent must discard 1 "Salad Dressing" from his hand or shuffle his Graveyard into his Food Deck. Gain 1 Victory Point. It's a new and original concept! Everyone should automatically love it! Link to comment

I just happened to forget that I hadn't already posted the other stuff at an earlier date. In case you haven't realized, the idea of numbering the cards in your hand based on the order they are in is doable and realistic. I would mean you would not be allowed to move around cards in your hand, but that could be remedied with Judges at tournaments being told to look out for such practises. Also, the card was just a raw concept, a draft if you will. I thought I should showcase that raw idea and see what feedback I got on the idea. Instead I got complaints that I forgot to post ATK/DEF ratings for the card. If Written Cards is about raw ideas rather than imagery then why should the lack of ATK & DEF matter? They have no effect on card as it is designed to be used as straight Synchro Material immediately upon summoning due to it's ability to divert attention from the Tuner you want to protect. It's second use is the Lock idea - to damage the opponent's hand. If you so desire, I will actually post the Written Support for it in a new thread. My stupid memory gets me into an argument again... EDIT: If Written is supposed to provide more insightful comments then why did my card not get commented on, pray tell? Link to comment
CrabHelmet
Well obviously I just hadn't gotten around to posting Quick-Play Traps and Salad Dressing and Food Decks and Victory Points and whatnot because I forgot that I hadn't explained them in another thread (because everyone on this site reads every thread I post so I shouldn't need to link to other relevant threads of mine or anything even if they did exist), but it's a pretty simple change and you're a philistine for not worshiping Potato Salad as a work of genius anyhow. Oh, and I didn't comment on Future Draw because the topic title makes it clear that this isn't about Future Draw; it's about you whining. Link to comment
I actually explained the hand-order concept in that very thread to prevent confusion. Besides, all you did was say "no ATK points", you didn't even offer constructive criticism on the concept itself. And if you post a thread, someone will read it. Every single thread on YCM has been viewed more than once. It's impossible for someone to not have come across any given thread at some point. Even the thread I made about an obscure newspaper columnist in the Literature forum several months ago was viewed a good twenty times or so. My comment on the so-called Lynching was not that I received only negative comments or I had been executed by an angry mob without a trial, it was the fact that the conceptual idea I had devised had been entirely ignored and the visual flaws pointed out instead. I'll say it again - Written Cards is supposed to be about written ideas, not flashy visuals. And if someone as vastly experienced and knowledgable as you ignores that base priniciple then Written Cards seems more like a place where you are attacked for the slightest visual mistake, a la Showcase. At least in Showcase people offer feedback along with the tomato-hurling. Coming back to the relevant threads, I mentioned that every single thread on this site has been viewed at least once. I presumed that due to my perceived posting of the support (which I thought I had already done) people may recognize the concept. And if they didn't, as I have mentioned previous times, I explained the hand order idea in great detail, described the two possibles scenarios of drawing a "Lock" card and adding it to your hand. So even if people hadn't seen the thread with support (which never existed) they would find an explanation of the concept within the thread. It's a simple concept that anyone could understand. Returning again to the criticism issue, it would have been fair game if someone had detailed the concept being bad. Then it would be whining. But the trouble is, no one did - they all ignored the concept for visual flaws like the lack of ATK & DEF points. I heard that Written Cards was supposed to be a place where you got carefully detailed and lovingly crafted comments on new ideas that you wanted to showcase. From what I've experienced from someone I gather is a Written Cards regular, it turns out to be more shallow than Realistic. If you would actually comment on the concept of the card and give constructive criticism (which is actually a rule in Showcase, Your Deck and Custom Cards) then we could drop this entire argument and leave it at that. But being Crab as you are, you have to go the extra mile and try and humiliate the opposition. And when you do it's actually funny and somewhat ingenious at times. In this situation you have to accept that if you had merely commented on the card this massively overblown argument would have never even happened. Link to comment
