Mehmani
Lock Butterfly LIGHT LV3 Insect / Effect If this card added to the top of your Deck by the effect of a "Lock" monster, discard the card directly to the left of this card once it is added to your hand (if this card has no card to the left of it when added to your hand, send this card to your opponent's Graveyard and discard your hand. Tuner Monsters on the field cannot be destroyed by card effects. If this card is used as Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a "Lock" monster, you can add 1 "Lock" monster from your Graveyard to the top of your opponent's Deck. Link to comment
CrabHelmet
Cards in hand aren't fixed in an order, it relies entirely on other Lock monsters that aren't listed here... there's no possible way to make any sense out of this. Link to comment

Mehmani
Let me explain the hand mechanic: You have 4 cards in your hand: 1|2|3|4 Lock Butterfly is added to the top of your deck and you draw it. You place the card in your hand. 1|2|LM|3|4 Due to it's effect, you would discard card 2. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If Lock Butterfly was placed at the far left of your hand... LM|1|2|3|4 ...then it's effect would activate as no other card is immediately to the left of it. Your opponent would discard their hand and Butterfly would be returned to your Graveyard. CrabHelmet
We know what you meant by the hand order thing. It still doesn't make any sense because hand order is referenced nowhere else in the game, cards in the hand are not required to be held in any order at all (much less a specific order), being able to place it into any part of your hand means that it basically gives you free choice of what to ditch (making the reference to hand order pointless when you could have much more simply said to discard one card or do thing other hand-nuking thing), it's worthless without other cards that aren't listed here and don't actually exist, and it doesn't even have ATK and DEF values - forget about being a good card, this isn't even a card. [/quote] Well Serial Numbers aren't referenced in the game but someone has made an archetype based around. Remakes of vanillas aren't referenced in the game but they are probably one of the commonest thread subjects in this forum. What is wrong with conceiving a concept based something that has existed since the beginning of the game? Link to comment

Something that's just effectively selecting and discarding isn't using the hand order thing at all. Link to comment
