Warrior Deck

[The Dark Knight]

So I made the only advanced format deck I could out of my cards that was actually semi-efficient. I'm going to start going to some local tournaments with my friend and I need to know which cards to get for this deck to make it better and which ones to get rid of, etc. Right now, it's won about half of the time on kcvds, but I know that's not good enough.

Just keep in mind, I made this deck using cards I actually own.

UPDATED: 7:25pm (Aug. 25) Now it's no longer made up completely of cards I own, but I'll end up buying the cards I need.

I realize that. Like I said, I made this from scratch. I have a few good cards in my collection, but this was the best advanced format deck I could generate that actually had a theme. I mostly just want suggestions, like what to take out (and why) and what I should look to get in. I'm going to be going to some local tourneys so I'll keep an eye out for cards I should get. I already know I want to get comrade swordsman of landstar, colossal fighter, and goyo guardian into the deck.

Let's see, we're going to get you down to 40 cards, first of all.

Step 1: Take out the Gearfried cards! Iron Knight, Swordmaster, and Release Restraint. Bad cards, worse with all @1.
Step 2: Take out your Elemental Heroes - unless you have enough to make a proper E-Hero deck. I'm going to assume you don't, and try to turn this into a basic Warrior Toolbox deck.
Step 3: Now we have 40 cards, but we're going to have to cut a lot more. Mystic Swordsman LV2, Crimson Ninja, Familiar Knight, Big Shield Guardna, Mystic Tomato should all definitely go.
Step 4: Let's prune Traps. If you have 2-3 Royal Decree, put them in and take out all of your Traps except Mirror Force IF you want to use Decree. Otherwise, take out Decree and Magic Cylinder. Take out Trap Jammer if you can replace it with Solemn Judgment or Dark Bribe. I'll assume you can't replace it, in which case you could go with Divine Wrath, Magic Drain, Magic Jammer, or another Trap Jammer, in that order. Double up on Bottomless, just adding a regular Trap Hole if you don't have a second one.
Step 5: Spells. Monster Reborn, definitely. Now, remove Monster Reincarnation, Nobleman of Crossout, Lightning Sword, and Fusion Sword. Replace Card Destruction with Pot of Avarice, if you can.
Step 5: You're going to have to make a choice here. Do you have Mage Power and/or United We Stand? Put 2 of each in, if possible, I think. Next, I think switch Lightning Vortex and Scapegoat with Giant Trunade and Cold Wave, if you can. Oh, and discard Warrior Returning Alive.
Step 6: Back to monsters. Move Giant Rat to 2. Breaker to 2. Remove Zombyra and Karate Man. In with another Exiled Force. Let's try another Celtic Guard, another Marauding Captain, another Mataza, and another Mystic Swordsman LV4.

EDIT: Comrade Swordsman of Landstar looks nice because it meshes with the deck's theme, but it's a very bad card. You probably want a Level 2 Tuner(s), the best of which is Plaguespreader Zombie. Failing that, Krebons would do. Otherwise, Jutte Fighter works, I guess.

It's not nearly perfect, but that should be a start, if nothing else.

Choose a proper theme first, there are many ways to play Warriors like Warrior Toolbox, Bushi Oppression, (Light Dual) etc . . .

I don't mind getting rid of Bladedge, but Statos works well with the other cards and Wildheart isn't affected by traps, which I feel is a pretty damn good effect.

Not sure about Big Shield Guardna, but all the others are out.

Royal Decree is gone, but I'm keeping Magic Cylinder. I don't have Solemn or Bribe, although I will keep an eye out for them. I'm not sure if I have Divine Wrath, but I know I have Magic Jammer. I'll add in the other Bottomless too.

Isn't Monster Reborn still banned? If it's not then no doubt it'll be going in the deck. Don't have Pot of Avarice.

I think I have Mage Power, not sure though. And I guess I can get rid of LV and Scapegoat.

You could keep WildHeart and Stratos if you cant find anything better.

Monster Reborn will be @1 in September, so under a week. Take out Cylinder, it's just a useless -1 outside of burn decks. Big Shield Guarda sucks.

Alright, it's updated. I actually updated it yesterday. Any more advice or suggestions would be useful. Oh and if someone could help out with the Side Deck, I would really appreciate it. Mostly, I want my side deck ready to confront Blackwing decks.
