Yeah. I'm renting FFVI from Gamefly right now. But haven't gotten it yet. If I buy it, I'm problably will get it for the GBA itself becuase I perfer any game system over computer. The only reasons I'm downloading VBA is to get the Japanese only games in English, and to get the GB and GBC games I've always wanted. I don't have a GB, a GBC, or a GBA (I play my GBA games on my DS.)

You made that rabbit of yours hit it's head four times in a row, for shame......anyway on a more serious note, I used to mess with emulators alot, I downloaded games that I owned, owned in the past, or never owned in my entire life it didn't really matter to me. I had like.....32 Gigabytes of PS1 games on my PC a while back, I used a program to make them playable on my PSP with custom firmware before they actually started re-releasing the good ones in the PS store, that aside what you should REALLY be worrying about is the fact that the bios you get to run the emulators are illegal to use if you don't own the system yourself. I don't own a PS console anymore so I downloaded the bios illegally and after all of that, I didn't get in trouble in the slightest, so don't sweat it~

Go ape-s*** on that emulator my man ;)
5) No Game Download Threads
These kind of threads are considered piracy and fraud and any threads like this will be locked and net you a 60% warn. On a side note you can still make download threads if it is for a fan made game and/or one that you have made. This goes for anything that may promot piracy.
Dont need it, I have a gameboy advanced sp, so why would I need it on my computer, which is 20X bigger and not nearly as portable?

doesnt count, this isnt a thread telling people to download pirated games
The existence of an emulator promotes piracy.

Divine Grace - I wasn't sure about that rule, so I PM'ed Flame and he said it was OK to make this thread.

Orly? Well, i'm wrong then. *Bows*

VBA is a great emu. I use it myself and it's compatible with every GBA game i've DLed so far. It's very reliable.

As for sites....try coolroms or just google "GBA ROMs" and see what you find.

Reminds me, I was heartbroken when Romulation took down all the popular games, and every single DS game. One of the few sites that didn't make me feel like I was actually pirating.

BTW, is VBA still being updated?

as I as saying, whats the point of an emulator, when you have a GBA and a game cartrrdge? is it for the multi-save file feture?
Well first off, if easy success floats your boat it's almost impossible to not be able to hack/cheat on a PC game in some way. Some emulators have a 1 button press auto save point so you dont have to worry about the in-game save feature, some emulators allow you to modify the visuals of the game itself (before I bought it from the PS store, I had FFVIII on my PC and it practically looked like a PS2 game because the emulator drastically enhanced the graphics).

Other than that....I would prefer the hard cartridge/disk over an emulator any day.

Emulators don't promote piracy, the developers themselves don't support it, emulators are made with the feature to run ISO's and ROM's ect so because if you rip the game off your own disk it can run faster than being read from the disk drive. On another note Sony for example, have used public made emulators to run their games on PC during porting ect~ piracy is a choice by the individual not the program, abuse of a program's abilities doesn't mean it promotes piracy. :\

Imma go kill zombies on WAW now, later :D

@Wynn:
Backups. Say you lose a PS2 game or broke your PS2, you could (for the first example) burn an ISO of that game onto a disc instead of buying a new one, or play your games on your comp instead of buying a new PS2 (for the second).
In the case of GBA, you get an emu/flash card and a ROM, and you're set to go.
