This is a story me and Humpie started together on janime. We both takes turns in writing the chapters. However since Humpie won't be much on this site (I know, we live in the same city and know eachother very well), I'll be the one posting the chapters.

You might want to read "The Dark Duellist Saga" and "The Elemental Duellists" before reading this one.

Since it is a large chapter, I parted it in two posts.

Chapter 1 “An unexpected challenger”

Zade and José were quirreling again on the docks where the submarine to the KC Underwater Duel-Academy was. They once again had stolen some cards from a kid and now they did not want to share the cards with the other.

“I’ll take Exarion Universe, then you can take Monster Reborn.” Zade smiled as his sister said that. He shook his head.

“I don’t think so, sis.” He took the card and stuck it into his pocket. José took Monster Reborn from Zade. “I can’t believe that kid is so stupid to duel us. I mean he knows he loses and loses most of his cards.” They heard footsteps. It was the kid, but he had someone with him.

“Are these the people that defeated you due to cheating?” the boy with the white cap asked politely to the kid. The young boy nodded. “Hey, you two!” the white-capped boy shouted towards José and Zade. They looked at him. Somehow he was familiar. They did not know why, but he had something which was very familiar.

“Do we know you?” Zade asked the boy. The boy walked forward. He was wearing black pants and a blue shirt with a Blue Eyes White Dragon on it.

“Not yet. I demand you return the card you stole from this boy to him.” Zade smiled.

“Never. I do not know who you think you are, but we won’t do it.” The boy nodded. The white-capped boy smiled. “To start with I am known as White-Cap, my nickname.. I am a duellist like you. Let`s make a deal. We will duel, when I win you return the cards to this kid. When you win, you get all of my cards plus the rest I have in storage.” Zade and José smiled.

“Then we have a deal.”

----------------------------------

White-Cap – 4000

Zade – 300

José – 300

“Go Stingray Guardian (4/1500/1200/earth/bug\warrior-effect/when you have no other monsters on the field this card can attack directly), attack with Stinging Saber!” White-Cap shouted, as his green-brown insectoid warrior stroke Zade.

“No, my lifepoints! I lost.” White-Cap nodded and turned his attention to José. Suddenly a masked warrior appeared on his side of the field.

“This is my Morph Slicer (4/900/0/dark/warrior-effect/increase the ATK and DEF by 300 for every monster there is on the field. When this card is destroyed in battle, you can resummon it to the field during your second battlephase after it was destroyed). First it`s attack raise to 1300 and defence to 300. Then I attack José directly!” White-Cap ordered. The masked knight stroke forward hitting José. Her lifepoints dropped to 0 as well. They dropped all the cards they had stolen and ran to the submarine. White-Cap took the cards and gave them back to the kid.

“Thank you, sir.”

“You’re welcome. Now let me get this submarine. I’ll see you around.” White-Cap disappeared aboard the submarine.

----------------------------------

At the KC Underwater Duel-Academy, Leo and his friends were eating inside a restaurant.

“I have to say, the food is delicious every time we eat here.” Mary sighed. “Leo, we have eaten here this morning as well, only it was breakfast at that time.” Leo nodded. “Still, I taste the difference.” Mary and Leonard smiled.

“Hey guys, do you know there will be an exhibition-match this evening to test out the new duel-system of KaibaCorp?” Tommy suddenly asked. They all shook their heads.

“No, we don’t.” Leonard and Tommy looked to Leo. “You should know, Leo, you are in the exhibition-match together with a fifth-year student called Kara.” Leo nodded. “Hope her and my dragon-deck can work together.”

“Attention, attention, the submarine of 6 o’clock will arrive shortly.” Leo jumped. “It is just a submarine, Leo.” Leo smiled. “I know, but I just want to see who is coming out of it.”

“I heard Zade and José were in trouble at the docks again. They stole some cards of a kid.” Leo smiled. Those two, they are always in trouble.

The submarine docked in the underwater harbour. White-Cap with Zade and José near him. Professor Beav and instructor Claywide were standing at the docks. Once everybody was unloaded, including representatives of KaibaCorp, they looked astounded.

“We missed the representative of the McFlinn Corporation. That can’t be. The representative is supposed to be here as well.” Claywide nodded. Then from the sub a small girl arrived. She was around the 13 years old. She went to Claywide and Beav.

“Excuse me, but are you professor Beav and instructor Claywide,” she asked and Beav and Claywide nodded, “Good, my name is Marcy McFlinn, daughter of Mr. McFlinn. He dispatched me, as young as I may look like, to be the representative of McFlinn Corp.”

“Oh, I am sorry, madame. We thought we would see someone bigger to be honest.” Marcie smiled. “We eventually hoped for Mr. Kamon McFlinn himself, but we can do it with you as well.” Marcie kept smiling and went of together with Beav and Claywide.

-------------------------------------

In the meantime around the computer terminals of KC Underwater Duel-Academy, a cloaked figure appeared. He checked the door and opened a separate laptop. He connected with the KC-Mainframe and hacked into the Database of the Academy. He called someone and talked over the phone.

“This is Deleger to Master Symph, do you copy?” he said while checking the database.

“Deleger, make sure everything goes as planned. Terminate anyone standing in the way and at the same time, make sure all necessary cards and ID`s are in the database so we can strike when necessary.” Deleger nodded and sighed.

“I will, sir. As soon as I am ready here, I’ll check out DE-Levels and see the best targets for our operation.”

“Okey, let me know when anything changes.” Deleger hung up and started creating separate maps in the database.

At the main arena, White-Cap was overlooking the test-duels. He smiled while seeing someone attacking an Elemental-Hero Clayman in defencemode with an All-Seeing White Tiger. Leo came past him together with Kara.

“Hey, do I know you?” Leo directly asked to White-Cap. White-Cap looks up and smiled, shaking his head. “No, you probably don’t. Many people say so, but most of the time it turns out I am not.” Leo and Kara nodded and then White-Cap held Leo back.

“I would very much like to participate alongside you in the exhibition-duel.” Leo smiled. “Well, I am sorry my friend, my partner is already chosen.” He pointed to Kara, who nodded to White-Cap. Kara suddenly was being alerted by a girl.

“Kara, I am sorry but you are needed at the computer terminals. Someone is creating accounts fast.” Kara nodded. “I am sorry, Leo. I am needed there, I hope I am back in time.” Kara went of.

Deleger was still working at the laptop, when he hears footsteps. He backs down to a wall, hiding himself from view and the door opens. Kara enters the room. Deleger smiled. His arm turned into an arm with a black dueldisc attached to it. He stepped from the shadows. Kara noticed him.

“Hey, are you the one causing all the trouble?” Kara asked and then she saw his dueldisc. She was almost at the point of taking her own dueldisc out, when a dark creature appeared behind Deleger and stroke her, before she could even make a move. She fell down and Deleger smiled. The dark creature and his dueldisc disappeared.

“That is taken care of.”

--------------------------------------

In the arena everybody was looking for Kara. Beav and Claywide were ready at one side to duel, but Leo was without partner. White-Cap smiled and walked to the stage, eyeing Marcie as well, but she did not notice. Leo however noticed White-Cap coming to the stage.

“One more minute or we cannot let this duel continue.” Leo looked around. Where was Kara? The referee just said one more minute. He was desperate, he really wanted this duel to go. Then he looked at White-Cap.

“Hey, you. You said you wanted to duel with me.” White-Cap nodded. “You have a duel then. Join me.” White-Cap smiled and stepped on the stage, taking out his own dueldisc.

“Good, now each side has two partners, this duel can start. This will be a regular 8000 lifepoints match in which two duellists play at one field (so we only have 5 monsterzones and 5 magic/trapcardzones for each two duellists). All the duellists are acquired to use a deck of minimal 40 cards. There is no timelimit. Okey have fun and a good duel!” the referee announced.

Beav, Claywide, White-Cap and Leo shook hands and shuffled decks.

“We’ll beat you, Leo and White-Cap or whatever your name is.” White-Cap only smiles.

Prof. Beav and Claywide – 8000

White-Cap and Leo – 8000

The lights for Leo went on green first, meaning he could make his first move. Leo pulled a card from his deck and smiled. He put it in his hand and took out another card.

“I play Luster-Dragon (4/1900/1200/earth/dragon) in attackmode and equip it with Dragon-Treasure, raising it`s attack and defence by 300 to 2200/1500.” The purple dragon appeared and he roared louder as his powers were pumped up.

“I play Pot of Greed (spellcard – Draw 2 cards) and draw two more cards and then can activate the spellcard Lucky Dragon (spellcard – Summon one level-4 or lower dragon-type monster to the field. Send it back to the graveyard at the end of your next turn), which allows me to summon another Luster-Dragon (4/1900/1200/earth/dragon). I end my turn.” Leo smiled as his two purple dragon rose on the field.

Beav draws a card. “Good my move.” He draws a card. “I summon Gear-Knight (4/1500/1000/earth/machine-effect/this card can destroy one monster with 700 or more attackpoints then the original attackpoints of this card). I can destroy your pumped up Luster-Dragon.” Leo`s strongest purple dragon was destroyed.

“Aw, man, that`s a hit.”

“Yes, and there is more coming. I set a card and end my turn.”

White-Cap smiled as he draws one card. His smile became wider.

“I play the spellcard Sanctuary of Horus (spellcard – Add one “Horus the Black Flame Dragon” of any level from your deck to your hand. Then reshuffle your deck), so I add Horus the Black Flame Dragon lv. 4 (4/1600/1000/fire/dragon-effect/Control of this card cannot switch. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster by battle, by sending this card to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6" from your hand or Deck) and I play it!” White-Cap says as he saw the small black steelish dragon appear on his side of the field.

“That is not all as I activate it`s effect, sending it to the graveyard in order to summon Horus the Black Flame Dragon lv. 6 (6/2300/1600/fire/dragon-effect/This card is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster by battle, you can send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" from your hand or Deck).” An even bigger and more mature version of Horus appeared on his side of the field.

“Now to end my turn I flip up the card Leo set on the field, called Backup-Dragon (trapcard – This card can only be activated when a dragon is summoned through an effect. Return all dragon-type monsters from every graveyard to the hands of the original owners).” Leo took out his Luster-Dragon. He looked at White-Cap, he was better then Leo expected.

Claywide draws a card. He smiled at the card he had drawn.

“I play Skilled Dark Magician (4/1900/1700/dark/spellcaster-effect/Each time you or your opponent activates 1 Spell Card, put 1 Spell Counter on this card (max. 3). By Tributing this card with 3 Spell Counters on it, Special Summon 1 "Dark Magician" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard) in attackmode.” A spellcaster in white and blue robes appeared holding a large staff. “Now I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards.” One ball lightened up.

“Be carefull, Leo.” Leo nodded at White-Cap`s remark.

“Then I activate the facedown of Beav, Gracefull Charity to draw three cards and discard two.” He put two cards in the graveyard. “Now I play Spell Reproduction and discard two spellcards to the graveyard to return one.” The third ball lightened up. “And now I can tribute my Skilled Dark Magician with three spellcounters in order to summon Dark-Magician (7/2500/2000/dark/spellcaster).” The purple robed magician appeared on his side of the field.

“I attack your Horus with Dark-Magic!” Claywide shouted as the magician pointed his staff at Horus and the magic made Horus explode, dropping White-Cap`s and Leo`s lifepoints to 7800.

White-Cap and Leo – 7800

Return – Beav with Ancient-Drill Bot and Claywide with Dark-Magician

Leo smiled. “It won’t stay long in the graveyard. I play Monster Reborn to bring back Horus the Black Flame Dragon lv. 6.” The big dragon reappeared. White-Cap smiled as he saw back his trusted dragon.

“Now I play Trap Booster and I discard one card in order to activate Call of the Haunted, bringing back your Skilled Dark Magician.” The magician appeared on Leo`s field. “Now I tribute it to summon Luster-Dragon #2 (6/2400/1400/wind/dragon).” The big blue dragon appeared.

“However that is not all. My discarded card, called Blessing Dragon (5/700/700/wind/dragon-effect/when this card is discarded to the graveyard, you can resummon it to the field. Increase all dragon-type monster`s ATK on your side of the field by 300. This card can attack directly) returns to me. So now my Luster-Dragon #2 has 300 more attackpoints and I can destroy your Dark-Magician!” Leo shouted as his pumped up new blue dragon attacked Dark-Magician and destroyed it, lowering their opponent`s lifepoints to 7800.

“Now I have another thing. Blessing Dragon attack with Blessed Fury!” Leo ordered and his smaller green with a hard scale dragon attacked their opponents directly, lowering their lifepoints to 7100. “Now one more to go. Luster-Dragon attack Gear-Knight!” Leo ordered as his purple dragon stroke Gear-Knight and destroyed it and their opponent`s lifepoints drop to 6700.

“I set one card and end my turn.”

Claywide and Beav – 6700

Beav smiled. His Gear-Knight was in the graveyard and he was about to go. He draws one card and his smile became even wider.

“I summon Gear-Drill-Guard (4/1600/1200/earth/machine-effect/increase the ATK of this card by 200 for every levelstar the defending monster has). Now, Gear-Drill-Guard attack Horus again!” Beav ordered with a wide smile. Gear-Drill-Guard`s attack rose to 2800. Horus was stroke down, but a shield appears in front of it.

“Draining Shield!” Leo said. Their lifepoints rose to 9400.

“You learned. Good, now I remove Gear-Knight from the game to summon Ancient-Drill Bot (6/1700/1600/earth/sentinel-effect/this card can only be summoned by removing one machine-type monster from the game. From this moment all machine-type monster on the field are treated as sentinel-type monsters as long as this card is in play. This card can only be destroyed by removing it from the game (damagecalculation applies normally)). Now I have an impregnable defence with the new sentinel-type monsters.” Leo and White-Cap smiled.

“I hope for your sake that is true.”

White-Cap and Leo – 9400

White-Cap smiled as he draws the next card. “I am actually enjoying myself. But I think I am gonna set this card facedown and then upgrade Horus the Black Flame Dragon lv. 6 to Horus the Black Flame Dragon lv. 8 (8/3000/1800/fire/dragon-effect/This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6". You can negate the activation and effect of any Spell Cards and destroy them).” The already huge dragon became even bigger, his wings spreading wider and his roar louder.

“Whoah, I never knew you would have such a card in your deck.” Leo was astonished of what White-Cap was able to pull of.

“I have more waiting in the wings.” White-Cap takes a card from his hand and sets it facedown. “I can still normal summon, so I summon Dark-Blade (4/1800/1500/dark/warrior) in attackmode.” A knight in black armour appeared on his side of the field. “However that activates the just put trapcard, Chain-Summoning (trapcard – Activate this card when a monster is normal summoned. Summon one monster with the same amount of levelstars in facedown defenceposition to the field). So I summon one monster in defencemode and attack your Ancient-Drill Bot with Horus!” White-Cap ordered. Ancient-Drill Bot was not destroyed, but their opponent`s lifepoints dropped to 5100.

“And now, Dark-Blade attack his Ancient-Drill Bot!” White-Cap says and his warrior stroke the same machine and their lifepoints dropped to 5000.

“I end my turn with two cards facedown.”

Claywide and Beav – 5000

Claywide sighed and draws a card. He smiled.

“I play Monster Reborn as well.” Dark-Magician returned to the field. “Now I equip it with Smashing Spell (equipspellcard – This card can only be equipped to a “Dark-Magician” or a “Dark-Magician of Chaos”. Remove one monster on your opponents side from play for the remainder of the duel. However you have no battlephase during the turn you activate this card). Now I send Horus away for good!” Claywide laughed hysterically as he said that. “Now I cannot attack, so I set a card and end my turn.”

Leo nodded. He draws a card and smiles at seeing the card.

“I play Dragon`s Thirst (spellcard – Remove one dragon-type from play to increase the attack of one dragon-type on the field by the attack of the removed monster). So I remove my Luster-Dragon from play to increase the attackstrength of my Luster-Dragon #2 (2400/1400  4300/1400). Now Luster-Dragon #2 attack his Dark-Magician.” The dragon went for the strike, however the facedown of Claywide opened.

“Haha, go Spellcaster`s Judgement (trapcard – Flip a coin. If heads, destroy all monsters on your opponent`s side of the field. If tails, destroy all monsters on your side of the field)!” Claywide says as he flips a coin. It turns out heads and all monsters on Leo`s and White-Cap`s field.

“Although the damage calculation still applies so your lifepoints drop to 2400.” At that moment Leo suddenly realised he should open the last facedown White-Cap played. He turned it over.

“Dragon-Egg Cracked? That is a rare card.” White-Cap nodded and his deck glowed. From his deck a card flew onto the field.

“I play Mega-Eternal-Seadragon (8/3400/3000/light/dragon-effect/effect: increase his attack and defence by 100 per monster it destroys. Select one of the following effects: - Get one card back from the graveyard at every end of the turn this dragon is on the field. - Draw an extra card) from White-Cap`s deck because of Dragon-Egg Cracked!” Leo says and the huge white dragon appeared on their side of the field.

“The Mega-Eternal-Seadragon?! Not many duellists possess one.” White-Cap nodded.

“Correct, but I do.”

“Anyway, Mega-Eternal-Seadragon attack Claywide`s Ancient-Drill Bot with Blaze Lightening.” Their opponent`s lifepoints drop to 700.

Claywide and Beav – 700

Beav is frightened. He was facing one of the most powerfull monsters of Duel Monsters. But he was not completely thrown of guard.

“I draw,” he draws a card, “and summon Gadjiltro-Gear (4/200/200/earth/machine-effect/double the attack of this card after every turn. When this card has attacked directly, the ATK returns to his original stats. This card cannot be destroyed as a result of battling). Because of my Ancient-Drill Bot, all my machine-type monster are sentinel-type monsters now, which means they can only be destroyed by removing them from play directly from the field.” Beav smiled. He would show them they should not mess with him.

“I play the spellcard Time-Morph (spellcard – Forward the duel for three turns. When all monsters summoned during the turn this card is played, are destroyed, send this card back to your deck). I can now move three turns ahead, making my Gadjiltro-Gear a level of 1600/1600. Then I add Dimension-Wave (spellcard – Equip this card to any machine-type or sentinel-type monster. The equipped monster can attack directly. However you must end your battlephase right after it) to Gadjiltro-Gear. Now Gadjiltro-Gear attack directly!” Beav shouted and the metal gear hitted White-Cap and Leo directly, lowering their lifepoints to 7800.

“I end my turn.”

White-Cap and Leo – 7800

White-Cap smiled as he walked forward to the board and draws a card from his deck.

“Well, I guess I can end it then. First I discard my Novius the Wicked Lord (4/1200/1600/dark/fiend\warrior-effect/discard this card and at the cost of 1000 lifepoints you can return one monster that was removed from play to the field) and pay 1000 lifepoints. Now Horus the Black Flame Dragon lv. 8 can return to the field!” White-Cap announced as the huge black dragon roared again as it appeared.

“But now I am not done. I play Dragonic Fury (spellcard – Remove all dragon-type monsters from your graveyard from play in order to destroy all non dragon-type monsters on the field). So begone your sentinels and machines!” White-Cap says and the monsters disappeared.

“Now Mega-Eternal-Seadragon attack with Blaze-Lightening and end this duel!” White-Cap shouted as his huge dragon flew forward and blasted the last lifepoints of Beav and Claywide away.

Beav and Claywide – 0

White-Cap and Leo – 6800

The crowd stood up and clapped. The representatives of Kaibacorp and the instructors of the Academy shook eachother`s hands and were now looking at Marcie. She jumped into the arena and walked over to Leo and White-Cap.

“Good duel, bro.” White-Cap nodded. Leo didn’t understand. What was happening here?

“Mrs. McFlinn, we need your approval of the system.” Marcie turned around and smiled at the representatives and the instructors.

“I can’t give you that.” They all looked amazed.

“Why can’t you give it?” Beav asked. Leo looked amazed as well. The system was fool proof.

“I am not the one who can do that.” Beav walked up to her. “You are the representative of McFlinn Corp, aren’t you? Then you must give your approval.” Marcie smiled.

“System approved.” But it was not Marcie who said it, it was White-Cap.

“Excuse me? You don’t have a say in it.” White-Cap removed his white cap. “Oh I do have a say in it.” He turned around to Leo. It was Kamon McFlinn himself!

“Hello, Leo, my name is Kamon McFlinn. It was a pleasure to meet you and to duel with you.” Leo looked amazed and shook Kamon`s hand.

“Well, then we can launch the system tomorrow.” The group left the arena.

--------------------------------

In a dark room, a man sat down in front of a lot of computerscreens.

“Everything went as planned. They will be resurrected.” He typed something into the computer and nodded. “Soon they will all be there and we can start the resurrection.” His cellphone went of.

“Yes?” he asked.

“Sir, this is Deleger. I have found one huge DE-level, well two actually.”

“And?”

“They are of Leo Mandevil and Kamon McFlinn.”

“Make sure we require their DE-level. And afterwards make sure they are eliminated.”

“Yes sir.”

“Nothing, no nothing will stop the resurrection of the Four Ancient Kings.”
