Chapter 1: Entrance to the Isle
Pegasus sat in his chair. He was stumped. He was trying to come up with new cards for Duel Monsters, but he wasn't getting anything. As the seconds ticked by on his Toon World wristwatch, he nodded off to sleep. As he slept, four evil spirits drifted by. Seeing their chance to be free, they screwed with Pegasus's head, and gave him an odd dream. In this dream Pegasus was having a duel with his nephew, Kenta. Kenta had summoned his speciality. The Black Magician. He equipped the cursed pendant to it, and Black Magician's ATK became 3000. "All right uncle. I attack!" Right as the black magic would've hit, Kenta said "Stop!" Pegasus was startled by this and asked, "What is it?" Kenta smiled at him. I have an idea for some cards uncle! How about evil swordsman?" A kind spirit was drifting by and saw the evil aura coming off of Pegasus's body, he knew he had to do something. If the demons were made into cards, they could seize control of everything. So the good spirit went into Pegasus's mind too, and he added his part to the dream.

"Yeah!" continued dream Kenta. "And you could create a good knight or something to have a guy to fight them or something!" Pegasus smiled, then woke up. He mused to himself about the dream. He was so deep in thought, that he didn't notice the spirits flying out the window. Then Pegasus said, "I think I will make those cards from my dream. Can't hurt anything can it?" he went to his factory and said, "I need you people to make four cards. But only one copy of them. He then told his ideas to the workers, and put notified all of his licensed Duel Monsters retailers. "I will be holding a contest. Each winner of the 5 tournaments will receive a special card. The 5 tournaments will be set up randomly in Domino city. The winners of those tournaments will be sent to the Duelist Island where you will receive a special promotional item...."

Kenta was in Domino city. He was the first to hear about the tournaments because his dad was Pegasus's brother. Kenta sat in his room preparing his deck. He was bored with his current deck, he knew he would win whichever touney he went to. Nt because of who he was, but because he was good at dueling. He slipped his deck together. Black Magician, Illusionist Faceless Mage, Black Pendant...suddenly he heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get it!" he called. He slipped his deck into his official Kaiba Corp. Duel Disk. Looking at it brought back memories. He had entered the Battle City Tournament. He fought Yugi Mouto, but lost to him. When Kenta reached the door, he opened it and was about to say "Hello?" when a gas started spraying in his face. Before you could say "It's time to duel!" Kenta passed out.

When he came to, he was seated in a duel box. He heard a voice booming a the roar of the crowd. "And the last round of the 'Light Forces' Tounament goes to Pegasus Kenta!" Kenta was shocked to see that he was at one of the tournaments. "Huh? But I didn't even-" "How does it feel to get these special honors young sir?" a cameraman had poked a camera in Kenta's face. "Uh...astonished?" he said. Pegasus walked up to Kenta. "Uncle Maximillian!" he cried seeing his uncle. "You've got to help me!" "I already have." he said, smiling boldly. "I will explain everything on Duelist Isle. You remeber the island that Duelist Kingdom was on right?" Kenta nodded. "Yeah, the first time you were beaten." Pegasus frowned slightly. "Yes, well, there's a cruise liner that wil take you there with the other tournament winners. It comes in two days. I need you to come. Something special is going on." Kenta nooded. His uncle liked being mysterious.

On the day the ferry came Kenta had built a new deck, his problem was, he was missing one card for his deck theme to be complete, so he brought his main deck and the incomplete one. When he looked over the other winners, he wasn't sure what to think. One of them was a biker, who looked like Francis from L4D. "What are you lookin' at kid, lose your mom on the way home?" Kenta grimaced. He hated people like that. "Uh, nosir, I'm 15, and I'm the winner of the Light forces tourney. He looked at another of the winners. A really really thin guy that Kenta realized as one of the campeign runners for Domino Mayor. "Excuse me sir but-" he stopped as the man stuck his finger down his own throat and puked. Kenta walked back as he concluded that this man was anorexic. The final competitor was a big man in a dark coat. He wore sunglasses and looked sinister. Kenta tried to ignore the odd looks that he was getting. But it was hard. Finally, an official Duel Monsters representative who was on the ship stood up.

"Attention Duelists! Would the winner for the Hunger Battles step up?" The mayor candidate stood up. "Name please." the official said. The mayor huffed and said, "My name is Shino...Azuka." he finished. The card Shino received was "Apocalyptic Swordsman- Famine". "Next, the winner of the Heavy Pain Tournaments...Jack Ryga." The biker walked up to the official and gruffly took the card. It was "Apocalyptic Swordsman- Plague". All of a sudden, a young girl ran up from the dock. "Mizane Tazune here!" she called, running up. "Winner of the Million Games Tourney!" she ran in line with Kenta and the other guy who hadn't gotten their prizes yet. "Hi!" she said to Kenta. She looked about his age. "Hi!" he said back smiling. At least someone here wasn't a freaky emo person. "Yes." said the attendant. "I was about to call you. Here is your prize. Apocalyptic Swordsman- Pestillence." he said, handing her the card. "Hey!" said the girl. "Pestillence is a girl? Why's she called a swordsman then?" there was no answer. The attendant ignored Mizane and went on.

"Drake....excuse me, but there is no last name here..." The man in the leather duster walked up to him. "I'm an orphan. I don't have a last name." The attendant was quiet for a while, until finally he said. "Here is your prize. For winning the Doom Tourney, you receive Apocalyptic Swordsman- Death." Drake took it quietly. Finally the attendant said, "Kenta Pegasus! Winner of the Light Forces Tournament." He stuck out the card. "Mr. Pegasus, you receive the only Light element card. "Heaven Sent Swordsman." Kenta took the card and looked at it as he returned. This was the missing card! He added it to his incomplete deck. Now it was his complete Light Force deck. Kenta smiled as Duelist Kingdom came into view. The attendant started to make announcements. "Prepare to dock at the Duelist Isle." he said. Kenta wondered what his uncle had for him this time. And he couldn't wait...
