Let's Plays (Remake)

So, hi and all that.
I thought I'd remake the Let's Play thread, since it seemed to have gone missing...
So, if this thread has no meaning, feel free to Lock it, less clutter, more productive threads and such.
So, discuss Let's Plays. I mostly watch chuggaaconroy and BikdipOnABus.
DISCUSS.

I actually watch mostly German Let's Player like TheEmero and PhunkRoyal. But yeah, occasionally, if I see a game I might be interested in, I drop by at AzureBlade49's or ProtonJonSA's channel.
If you happen to be from germany, those two named above are a must watch for you. PhunkRoyal did (and still does) some really hilarious LPs with Yoshi's Story and La Mulana, while TheEmero is more the Mario-kind-of-guy (including Hacks), while sometimes dropping stuff like Final Fantasy IX or Touhou games.

Most of the time I watch LPs for games I never even heard of (like La Mulana), because there's no better way to experience them without actually having the option of playing them, especially if the Let's Player decides to play them blind (which is the best way to do so anyway).

So long,

Spoon

Edit @ LeoMence: What games are you going to play? :)

I want to be a LPer. But the I need people to help me pick a game.
Well, shouldn't that be up to you? What games do you normally play? Do you want it to be a blind LP? An old one, a new one, a strange one, a normal one?

I love watching LP's. I've seen them done by almost everybody. I usually watch them if I'm bored and I don't really feel like playing the game or I want to relive the experience I had when I played the game some time ago.

Most of the commentary by LPers are really funny and I enjoy listening to them. ErykkTehDestroyer is my favourite LPer. He does alot of my old favourites like Hexen, Hexen 2, Hexen death kings of the dark citadel and I require his silliness.

tl;dr version: Cause Lets Play's are cool.

I love how I first found LPs. Me and TAG were hanging out and he was at the end of Mother 3. TAG wasn't able to beat the game and because I wanted to know more about it I ended up looking on youtube for Mother 3 vids. There I found Chugga and started watching some of his vids. When I got to the end of Mother 3 I went back to the start. When I finished that I watched his other vids and haven't stopped. So basically it was a totally accident. And now that i think about it, it's hard to beleive that was a about year and a half ago.

Any way, enough of me being nostalgic. It's thanks to watching LPs that made me go out and play Mother 3. It's also made me want to play WW and the Mario RPGs.

Side from Chugga, I've watched a bunch of Kowbrainz stuff. Side from them I really haven't watched any other LPs. I do want to make my own, it's just me technical skills aren't the best so I know that odds are it won't happen.

You had me at that :) I do not own a Nintendo DS, but I always wanted to play the Super Mario RPGs (played the first for a short time on an Emulator... but that just didn't feel right), and this really looks interesting. If you're good (we'll see about that) and if I can stand your voice, I'd be sure one of your subscribers ;)

I would do Earthbound I f I knew alot about it.

SO I did some Searching and Found Three Games I finished Near perfectly. I want you Opinions on it.

1st Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets (FIrst Game I've Beaten that wasn't a shooter or Smash Bros. Got at least Most of the game done.

2nd Star Wars The Force Unleashed. I pretty much beat the game twice, but still had a long way to go.

3rd Lego Star Wars. I started to do one, but I didn't like the way it was going, so I stopped. Also I want to get the entire game in stead of the two parts.

So YCM, Help a brotha out.

Well, everybody plays Mario Hacks nowadays... I like them, but they get dull pretty quickly if you don't have a really good show around them to support it. I always like Blind Let's Plays, thats why taking a game you "completed near perfectly" wouldn't appeal to me at all. Take a new one, maybe even something you never heard of, something you're not used to play or something you always wanted to play, but never had the time or the endurance to play through...

If you'd ask me, I'd Let's Play right now: Suikoden III. Why? Because I'll never have the chance to play it, because it... never... f******... came... to... EUROPE! Stupid region codes!

Eh... yeah... but... don't take that too seriously... how about a free to play or budget game, like "World of Goo"? A really nice puzzler, don't costs much (or nothing, not sure right now), doesn't take ages to complete (5 hours for me... which would be still ca. 30 videos) and is a lot of fun :)

8BitMemoirs: They are the funniest LPer's on youtube. It's like listening to a radio show while watching a video game. They like to tell offensive jokes.

BaconGames: Kind of a less funny 8BitMemoirs, but still funny.

Cornshaq: For those who like to the point walkthroughs.

GameGuideClassic: He has something interesting to talk about, usually during his Resident Evil LPs.

So I decided LP Harry Potter Game and then do Lego Star Wars Games. Reason Being is that My Memory that held information for the Lego Star wars was deleted by my cousin. So I still have my Harry potter one.

I think I'll start next weekend. I'll post a link later.

Uh surely that would make Lego Star Wars ideal for LPing?

Indeed, he's very to-the-point. He doesn't die, because it's a waste of his time.

I don't really watch Let's Plays outside of The Spoony Experiment, but I love Retsupurae.
