my card's, i know their a bit unusual but i gave it my best considering the challenge.

[spoiler=my monster character]

131538q.jpg

This card cannot attack during the turn that it is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned. When "Toon World" on the field is destroyed, this card is also destroyed. If "Toon World" is on your side of the field and your opponent does not control a Toon Monster, this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly. When this card declares an attack, you can change the battle position of 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field.

[spoiler=my spell phrase thing]131538q.jpg

Activate this card only if you control a face-up "Bugs Bunny", You take no Battle Damage this turn. Your monsters cannot be destroyed by battle this turn. Remove from play this card in your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Toon Monster from either player's Graveyard to your side of the field.

[spoiler=Verdict for Round 3:]

After seeing the contenders and there famous catch phrases, I have to pick the winner of the round and the one, who sadly, will be eliminated.

So here is my thoughts so far:

Spoon, as always phenomenal job on your pair. Duke Nukem is one of my all time favorite character in the VG char. My only concern for you though is that while the Monster Card is awesome, the Spell card seem to be bit OP'd. Especially that last effect. I know Duke is just badass in every way, I would like to have seen some more balance.

Frozenblade, I like the Uniqueness of your cards. They are not well known and I do like that. The effects for both work well with one another and could see it in a duel. Twp things did catch my attention. First is the words in the pic. Yugioh cards dont have words in their pics and I would all cards to be like this. Second is OCG. Make sure you capitalize what needs to be capitalize.

The_Duck: All time classic. The Flame counters are a nice touch, showing what Mario's abilities are. And the connection between monster and spell is also nice. However Your pics have nothing do not show off the effects. Maybe if it was showing mario shooting fireballs and a pic with background....

king of dyspraxia: Bugs Bunny, you couldn't go wrong there. I especially like the Catch phrase card. not only did it show the catch phrase correctly, but also the effect basically described what happens when Bugs pops up and says his line. I also like the fact that Bugs is a toon monster. What I dont understand is Bugs last effect and havent I seen that card before?

Unfortunatly The_Duck, I didnt feel you cards were like real Yugioh cards and have to eliminate you. It was hard deciding but it felt that your cards lacked that feel. So thank you and Adieu

Winner for this round is.....

[spoiler=Winner]

king of dyspraxia. Overall the best and most balanced card out there, So Kudos to you. Just one question. IS that card use in the cartoon contest recently. If it is, I want to remind you to use new cards but ill let slide because no one knew.

for the fourth round, do we still have to stick to the genre of the round they were entered for?

Since it says "Qualification Card", I'd say no, because there were no rules for that "round" :)

I used Frozenblade's card (I hope we could change the image...

234848wu.jpg

Lore:

If you you draw this card by a cards effect, you can Special Summon it to the field in face-up Attack Position. If this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster, draw 1 card for each other Synchro Material Monster used for this Synchro Summoning.

So long,

Spoon

oh sorry i thought it was from any round, anyhoo here is my card, sorry about the picture it might cost me the tournament but i hope you enjoy the card:

[spoiler=my card of spoons]

131538.jpg

When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position. Once per turn, you can discard 1 Spell Card to draw 1 card from your Deck. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle you can send the top card of your Deck, to the Graveyard instead. (Damage calculation is applied normally.)

My card, and before I forget... good luck both of you :P

[spoiler=my card]

268739t.jpg

Lore: This card is also treated as Machine-Type when face-up on the field. You can use a Union monster equipped to this card a Synchro-material monster in a Synchro-summon you also use this card. During the Battle Phase, you can Synchro-summon a Machine-Type Synchro monster if you use this card as a Synchro-material monster for the summon.

I'm a bit unsure of my OCG, cause I couldn't find anything similar.

Well its time for judging:

I am post the qualification cards next to the this round's entrys cards to make a comparison.

First is Spoon's:

Spoon's qualify and king of dyspraxia entry of Spoon's:

234848g.jpg131538.jpg

Next is Frozenblade's:

Frozenblade's qualify and Spoon's entry of Frozenblade's:

268739.jpg234848wu.jpg

Finally is king of dyspraxia's

king of dyspraxia's qualify and Frozenblade's entry of king of dyspraxia's:

131538n.jpg268739t.jpg

For the Magical Librarian:

Both are dealing with decks and Spell Cards Which is good when dealing with Spellcasters. Though the first one dealt with Magical Library which I think was the inspiration behind it, king of dyspraxia did a nice job making it own by making the effect dealing with drawing and discarding cards, refering to the Librarian part of the card. Pic's a little fuzzy but still shows us what kind of monster it is.

Quickdraw Mercenary:

I like what Spoon does here. Spoon takes the simple effect of going to the graveyard for 1 card and revolves it around Synchro Summoning, making it more of a useful card. Pic also makes it seem like a Outlaw more, and reminds me of those old time showdowns. Very nice.

Metal Converter:

I like the Pic for Edward in the remake. shows the bound and is just better than the original pic. I can understand your prob with OCG. Your newer than most and finding the right OCG is sometimes hard for what you want the OCG to be. Remeber to always capitalize Summon when paired with an another word. and your second, I think, should sound something like this:

"When you use this card in a Synchro-Summon, you can also use any Union Monster eqiupped to this card as a Synchro-Material Monster."

Good try atleast.

So now the Verdict:

Frozenblade we have to say goodbye to you. OCG is what makes a card sound like a card. If a card dosent make sense, how can anybody use it correctly.

Spoon once again takes the round, taking something simple and and making it better. Someone has to stop Spoon From winning every Round!

Final Round Starts tomorrow So gets some rest. you'll need.

i may have done bad in my engish exam, but this game is my life.

If you call it wrong, you lose 2000 Life Points. When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can add one "Lucky Poker Chip" from your deck to your hand.

[spoiler=second card]131538l.jpg

Alright then, here we go :) To be honest, it was tougher than I though it would be, and I'm not completely satisfied with the result, but I guess I couldn't come up with any better in the next 2 days anyway...

[spoiler=The Brave Sister]

234848d.jpg

Lore: This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned to the far left Monster Card Zone. Each time this card destroys a Fiend-Type monster by battle, if you control "Deep Dark Forest", it gains 200 ATK and moves to the adjacent Monster Card Zone to its right. If this card is moved to the Monster Card Zone on the far right, if your opponent controls a "The Lost Brother", you gain control of that cards.

[spoiler=The Lost Brother]234848f.jpg

Lore: This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned (not Set) to your opponents far left Monster Card Zone. This card cannot be removed from the field by any means as long as "Dark Deep Forest" remains face-up on the field. This card cannot attack or be selected as an attack target. This cards control cannot switch except by the effect of "The Brave Sister". During your Standby Phase, if your opponent controls this card, you take 500 damage.

[spoiler=Deep Dark Forest]234848l.jpg

Lore: All face-up Fiend-Type monsters gain 500 ATK during Damage Step only. All Fiend-Type monsters are flipped face-down, but are still treated as face-up. Neither player can Summon monsters except Fiend-Types. If you control no "The Lost Brother" on your side of the field, destroy this card.

[spoiler=Hazardous Woods]234848d.jpg

Lore: You can only activate this card if you control "The Lost Brother" and "Deep Dark Forest". During each of your Standby Phases, Special Summon 1 "Scary Hazard Token" in Attack Position (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 3/600 ATK/1000 DEF). During each of your End Phases, all "Scary Hazard Tokens" you control gain 200 ATK.

[spoiler=The Will to Survive]234848m.jpg

Lore: You can only activate this card if a "The Brave Sister" you control would be sent to the Graveyard. It is not. Move it that card to your far left Monster Card Zone and increase it's ATK by 500 until your opponents next End Phase. After the effect is resolved, return this card to your hand.

The cards "Hazardous Woods" and "Deep Dark Forest" are supposed to be in your opponents Deck for this to work... I guess it wouldn't work anyways, at least gameplay-wise, because I'm pretty sure I forgot one thing or the other... However, this story is about a girl who wants to save her younger brother from being eaten alive by the various monsters that live in that dark deep forest. I missed out on one monster to describe the evil witch who kidnapped him, so that I could let him kidnap "properly", but oh well, since the limit was 5 cards, those Scary Tokens will have to do for now ;) During her journey through the woods she adapts to the situation and therefor grows stronger... but I shouldn't explain everything, the interpretation is up to you after all ;)

So long, may the best story win,

Spoon

PS: Yey, nice, the picture screwed up -.- Going to fix it now...

PS2: Fixed... oh, and since I got no picture showing a girl rescuing a boy, just imagine that the roles are exchanged on "The Will to Survive" :(

Verdict time:

Oh I hate choosing a winner. Both contestants both put out thier best effort in this round and it is making me choose that6 much harder.

I'll start with king of dyspraxia:

The Overall Story is great. The gambler going from bad luck to having enough luck to choose his fate. I wish I had that. Ultimate Gamble is a little O'pd. Maybe instead of losing the game only half your life points. I couldn't completely understand through the cards how is Lady Luck is a Monster card more than an equipped card or make it an a union since it is a monster.

Spoon:

I think it is best to described by LRPXD:

the effects of the Brave sister is related to finding her lost brother, the card has to be summoned in far left meaning thats the beginning of the search for her bro, then each time "Brave Sister" destroys a fiend and while "Deep Dark Forest" is on the field, it's one step closer to finding her bro by moving the card to the right, at the end if "Brave Sister" reaches the far right she gets her brother back. Thats my point of view of "Brave Sisters" relation to the Story.

But like you said Spoon I dosent flow as gameplay would dictate.

So do I choose the Set that the cards flow with one another but the story in kinda exciting or choose the exciting story but the cards have to be in both decks to work.

So Spoon...

I have to give it to King. He followed what i wanted and had it follow through. I do liked yours Spoon but.your set depended on to many varibles to play right. I didnt want to see just a story but if it could play out on the field and be recognized as as a story.

So congrats to king for being the Ludicrous Champ

If you guys have any opinions, lets hear him so I know what to change for later.

So until next Time,

Serenity

I admit defeat *bows to the king* :lol:

My opinion on this contest: It was nice and refreshing, the tasks were original and a lot of fun, maybe a bit scattered and all over the place, but the name's program right here. You were a great host, the competition was awesome... nothing more to say, I'd love to join another one of those ;)

So long,

Spoon
