Basq smirked at him and nodded his head up and down. "We've had signs of odd reiatsus moving about the edges of Soul Society. Nothing malignant or hollow like yet unknown and unfamiliar to us. The captain commander in no way assumes this is some attack on the Gotei Thirteen. However he assigned three of us to go and investigate or at least to be on standby should anything in the area occur. The reiatsus gave no indication of being on lieutenant level, at least they have yet to, but should they be hollow or something of the like he would prefer to have them eliminated on the spot. The three who are on standby are Lieutenant Apollo Hunter, Captain Tanaka, and myself." Basq explained and then stopped walking as he to started to sense the reitsu Hafuki did. "My better judgment says to see what there is, but I think we should wait for something more then just a sense of reitsu..." Basq explained, always being the watch and listen type.

"You are probably right, Captain. I'm going to see the Commander-Captain Kuchiki personally, though. I do not really expect an answer," Hafuki began once more, rubbing a hand through his nape while messing his hair, "but I will ask for his permission to go on this mission. I haven't really got out of your Headqarters for some time now, my Snake Spots have been moving around my body, I never know where they will be." Hafuki then pulled up his left sleeve, showing Captain Sisco the entangled snake tattoo, fangs popping out in a threatening pose. "You do remember what they do, right Captain? You were the one who discovered why I got so easily injured, after all... you have no idea of how grateful I am for that. I... might be pulling on your nerves too much, I'll just head off to see Captain Kuchiki. Thanks for updating me, Captain. We'll meet again soon."

Hafuki bowed to Captain Basq, and ran away into the other direction. He couldn't really flash step. The only thing he could do with Shunpo was to kick. [i]And that,[/i] Hafuki thought, [i]is useless unless you engage in combat. Who knows... Captain-Commander Kuchiki might allow me to go. The old man has hardly unsheathed his sword in the past twenty years. He has grown weak... WHAT AM I THINKING! Captain-Commander Kuchiki defeated a Top Ranked Espada! Or so Captain Renji had told me... I can't and won't call him a liar.[/i] Hafuki eventually came to the 1st Squad's Grounds. Looking for the Captain-Commander, Hafuki came across his Lieutenant. After asking him where his Captain was, he told Hafuki he had gone on a Special Task and couldn't be bothered. A Soul King's affair, apparently. Anything Hafuki wanted with Captain-Commander Kuchiki, he would have to ask when he was back. [i]I cannot wait so long. I'll just go to Apollo and tell him Kuchiki gave me his consent for this. I'll get some punishment afterwards, well, no pain, no gain. [/i]Once more, Hafuki dashed, or half-flash stepped, up to Apollo. Hafuki found him lying peacefully in his Quarters, and yelled at him in a rush; "Hey there! Apollo! What's going on?"

Junichiro nodded, smiling to himself. [i]It appears I made the right choice in seeking out the others.[/i] This one didn't seem hostile; just like Junichiro had read from his reiatsu, his new acquaintance had recently been in a fight.
"The same opponent as you, I believe. A Shinigami, sent by the Gotei 13 to execute us. I managed to scare mine off without any bloodshed, which I am grateful for." He looked over the injured Vizard before him. "You're very different from the ones of our kind I have met before - relentless killers who stop at nothing."
He suddenly let out a small laugh, realizing he had forgotten something.
"But where are my manners? I'm Sougen Junichiro, former lieutenant of the thirteenth squad. What's your name?"

"I am Sven Trago, former Captain of the Second Squad," Sven said, "My opponent had an ability I had not expected which allowed for my injury. I should be fine in a little bit." [i]This man is only a lieuyenant and he seems this strong. He probably used his mask as to where I did not. I'll have to watch him closely,[/i] he thought to himself. Sven stood himself upright and went to shake Junichiro's hand. "Glad to meet ya," he said sarcasticly. Though he did seek him out, he truly disliked being with other people. He would deal with it and with Junichiro for now and with any others that they meet.

As Apollo did not reply, nor even move his head, Hafuki decided to take a closer look. At first, Hafuki deduced he was asleep; but as he shook him, he felt a bite on his right shoulder. "Agh!" he shouted, "What do you want, Hebidansu? Is this the right time, eh?" Hafuki then ignored the supposedly asleep Apollo and unsheathed his sword. He then digged the tip of his sword on the floor, and sat facing the standing sword. After closing his eyes, he was in his inner world.

He was in a rotting, dark swamp now. Vines hung from the menacing trees in the edges of the putrid lagoons, and sitting in a dead trunk was his Zanpakuto Spirit.

[i][color="#9ACD32"]It's about that precisely. I do not intend to speak to you for too long, and I' will only say things once.[/color][/i]

[i][color="#9ACD32"]Silence, Hafuki! As I was saying, he is dead. And judging by the poison in his veins, I take he was killed[/color][/i][i][color="#9ACD32"] only[/color][/i][i][color="#9ACD32"] recently. And that poison is from your Captain's Zanpakuto.[/color][/i]
[i]That bastard! [/i]Hafuki screamed out as he jumped in rage, [i]I knew he was not to be trusted, but to go this far?! This offence will not be left unpunished. As soon as Captain-Commander Kuchiki is back, he'll have that bastard executed.[/i]
[i][color="#9ACD32"]Do you think that is my point, Hafuki? [/color][/i]The gorgon said, pointing his hand snakes at him in threat, [color="#9ACD32"][i]What I actually came to tell you is, that danger is not very far away. You are going to need me if you are to engage in combat. And my Shikai is not nearly enough to put up with the immense Reiatsu you came across just now. If you are going to go into that battlefield, you are going to need Bankai.[/i][/color]
Hafuki was astounded at what his Zanpakuto had told him. Achieve Bankai? Now? [i]How do you intend me to achieve my Bankai in so little time? Do you think there is a three-day method or something...? [/i]

As Hafuki remembered, he came out of trance. [i]Of course. The Shihoin pit must still be somewhere. I just have to find it.[/i] He then took a look at Apollo's corpse. [i]Both for Soul Society and for Apollo, I'll achieve my Bankai and kick that Captain's Ass! ...but first I've got to report him dead, or something.[/i]

Hafuki then lifted his Zanpakuto from the floor and sheathed it. After that, he lifted Apollo's body in his shoulder and took him to the 4th Squad's Nursery. "Someone! Please! I need help! This Lieutenant has died!"

Basq, who was finally just returning from his midnight stroll, had walked into the barracks of the Fourth Squad only to find Hafuki in his presence again, this time with the corpse of another lieutenant. "Lieutenant Apollo!" Basq said, not speaking to Hafuki yet and grabbing the corpse from him, so he could lay it out on the table. He made his hand glow with green spiritual energy and placed it on Apollo's forehead. He was silent for a few minutes then closed his eyes and frowned. "Time of death, 12:03am. Not forty five minutes ago...." Basq explained and then opened his eyes and looked at Hafuki. "What happened to him?" Basq asked, being the captain of the forth squad he'd need as much info as possible.

"It's poison, Captain. A strong one. I myself with my Hebidansu am not able to create such a powerful Venom. As far as I know, the only one who could have done this is..." Hafuki hesitated for a while, he could be seen as insane, or even as a traitor, for accusing a Captain of murdering a Lieutenant. But he had no choice. "...my Captain. 6th Squad Captain, to be precise. His Zanpakuto is the only one I know whose poison can kill without his sword piercing flesh." He turned his head away, and changed the subject; "I suppose you should go and tell the 7th Squad Captain his Lieutenant is dead. I'm sure it will be batter than finding out by himself. Goodbye, sir." Hafuki lowered his head, and walked out the door. Apollo had always been his best friend. Alas, he no longer was.

Hafuki began wandering around Seireitei, not wanting to return to his barracks. Then he remembered. The Shihoin dug-out. Hafuki needed Bankai. And he needed it [i]fast.[/i]

He began running to the nearest hill.

The Captain of Squad 11, Roku awoke to a small rumble vibrating and permeating the floor. It was deep. He felt it. The hollow shell of an empty man being tormented and killed. Roku shuddered. He sat up, feelings somewhat, conflicted. Something happened. He knew. It was the death of a lieutenant by the name of Apollo. Roku was shocked. He knew this man very closely. Apollo being one of his Saki drinking buddies. Disgruntled, his girlfriend still sleeping in his bed was not awoken by Roku's stumbling to get out of his bed. He looked back at his girlfriend, Koryuki. He winked. Roku put on his cloak, with the squad 11 insignia, kissed Koryuki's cheek, and was out the door. He heard the news of lieutenant Apollo's death first from his own lieutenant, Kollo Ryasaki. The full details. A powerful venom. Homicide. The one thing that Roku hates. Irony. Being a soul reaper, most people that are sent to the Soul Society-died from homicide. Roku was told to meet with Hafuki and Basq at the Squad 4 barracks.

As Hafuki left the fourth squad barracks Basq could see another man, just missing being shoved by Hafuki, in the darkness of the door frame. "Oh, if it isin't eleventh squad Captain Roku, welcome to my humble squad barracks." Basq said, and then decide to cover the body of Apollo with a medical sheet. "I imagine you haven't come here to chit chat or exchange witty banter." Basq said and then closed his eyes. "His body was severely poisoned and I think I have a lead, Hafuki says it was his captains blade that did all this." Basq said to Roku. "He IS a vice-captain after all and I haven't seen his captain for days now that I think of it. Whats your take?" Basq asked to Roku.

"How can you be certain?" Roku inquired. "Could there not be a possibility that a person could have a Zanpaktou similar to that of your Captain?"
Basq was conflicted. "Besides, your Captain is on duty." Roku, heads out the door. Leaving Hafuki and Basq in the dark. Roku walks back to his home. Koryuki was still sleeping, Roku knew there wasn't much to do today, so he crawled back to bed with Koryuki. Not making a sound. He escape into the realm of dreams. It was 2 O'clock now, when Roku woke up. Koryuki was gone. [i]She must have had duty today.[/i] He thought. He sat up again. Emotions different from before. [i]Apollo, where have you gone?[/i] He thought. Roku made himself some tea. He ran his hand through his hair. He picked up his hot cup. He thought of Apollo, his best drinking buddy, and threw his tea at the wall. The glass broken and tea spilled on the floor, Roku layed his head on the table. Crying.
