Arc 1: Restart

1700 Years ago - Hueco Mundo

The Vasto Lordes had left the city he had been in for as long as he could remember. The other Vasto Lordes did not take kindly to his ideas of destroying other beings, leaving only themselves. They called him absurd, saying his plan was too ambitious and insane. Still, this Hollow thought they were wrong. He would prove his plan would succeed, with a new power source. The ex-Shinigami, Sosuke Aizen, had been recruiting Hollows to rip off their masks. The others had laughed at the concept, but it had intrigued him. It meant more power, especially in this form. As he had arrived to Aizen, and pledged his allegiance, Aizen had ripped off his mask, and he felt the power coursing through him. Without a word to another sould, he left, although he knew many of the Espada were watching, willing him to be gone. Three in particular had caught his eye. The first had a helmet fragment on his head, and blank green eyes, accompanied by pure white skin and tear marks. He looked feral and calm at the same time. He knew this man, he was the only other Vasto Lordes to leave their city. The next was a pink-haired fellow, who seemed to be mad beyond belief. He took note of him for future use. The last one was a tall black man. The only reason that he had even been noticed was the obsession he seemed to have for the leader, and the hatred the man had for him. As he walked out of Las Noches, he made a promise. "You will fall. If not by my hand, by another's. And you will be erased from history." He turned around to leave, and he found a small Arrancar girl in his way. she was staring up at him in awe, but he could have cared less. He kicked the green-haired girl out of his way, and took not of the craack on her mask remains. It was presumably a battle scar. "This girl... she seems stronger than she looks, or than her tears let on..." He kicked her once more, and walked off into the dunes.

From the gate of Hueco Mundo, another Arrancar female watched, poking her head out of the gateway. Her head, except for her face, covered by a 3 faced mask, and it covered part of her waist long blond hair. "Wow....", she thought, turning away before the scene with the young girl. "What a guy. Handsome, strong, and intelligent to reneg on his pledge to Lord Aizen! I wish I was like that..." She turned around to see him once more, and caught a glimpse of him before he was out of sight. "If only I was not so petite and plain... maybe then I'd have a man like him..." She wiped away a tear, and was about to turn back when she heard a cold voice. "What are you doing? Staring after a traitor like that could be seen as treason." She turned around to see Ulquiorra looking down at her, and she stammered an answer. "H-hello, s-sir. D-didn't see y-you t-there." She was afraid of punishment, but he just kept staring at her. "Forget about him. He will die. Go to your quarters." was all Ulquiorra said, before he turned, and walked back into the bowells of Las Noches. She stared on, out of breath from being scared. Without a word, she obeyed the Espada, and fell into depression at his words. Then her problems began.

500 Years ago - Hueco Mundo

He had kept tabs on that girl, the little Arrancar he had kicked. It turned out her name was Nelliel Tu, and she was an ex-Espada. She had also formed a relationship of sorts with an odd being, Half-Shingami, Half-human, and a Hollow, all in one. That child had given the girl more purpose, and had enabled her to shift back to her initial form time and again. The last time, however, she ripped her mask clean off, shocking him. Did she wish to die? But, Nel did not die. Instead, she was very much alive and well, and her Reiatsu exploded when she removed her mask. He had been shocked at the level she was now at, and had decided to try himself. When he moved his mask, something went wrong, and he felt a new desire, unlike his old one. There, his campaign began. His first recruit was a petite girl, who ripped her whole mask off. Se had a lot of potential, he could see, but he did not remember her from the fort. He figured she was not around then but he was wrong. She was a quick-learner, and became his second-in-command very quickly. A few more came, but many were to come, under the goal of a world to themselves.

75 Years ago - The Soul Society

"Ahahaha! Of course I did it! I killed them all! They were in my way, and I was glad to shed their blood!" The captain of Squad 2 yelled at the Central 46, in reiatsu sealing garb. "I killed the captains and lieutenants of Squads 3 and 13! They were going to stop me from unlocking the Ouin, so I blew them up! AHAHAHA!!!!" The man, Ranma, laughed maniacally. Anyone that had known him before hand would be shocked at the change, but it was not the most surprising in the Soul Society's history. "So, you pompous fools, what are you gonna do?! KILL ME?! I've already done all I can, so go ahead! But you folls, oh you fools... I will be waiting for you in hell!" Before he could continue his tirade, he was sentenced to death, and taken to the rebuilt execution grounds. He was dead before sunrise. The bodies of the dead captains and lieutenants were gone, desroyed by an explosion.

Present Day - Hueco Mundo

As he looked out over the sand dunes of Hueco Mundo, he could but smile. Everything was going according to plan. He spoke to the woman to his right, his second-in-command. "Dear, would you please send the groups out now? I think it is about time for the cogs to move, don't you?" She nodded in agreement, before her clear blue eyes changed appearance. They turned purple, and the normal pupil became vertically elongated and sharp. "Of coursssse. She actuallay ssssent them hoursss ago. We knew the plan wasss planned to ssstart today, ssso we sssssurprisssssed you." The eyes changed again, now turning yellow and horizontally rectangular. Her voice also deepened greatly. "Hmph. You thought we would not initiate your plan of grandeur? How absurd!" the eyes changed once more, just turning grey this time, and her voice became like a young boy's. "Yeah, old man! We can do what we are supposed to!" Her eyes returned to normal, and she addressed her boss directly. "Yes sir, they are right. I did do it." The man just smiled wide, and hugged her, giving her a kiss on the forehead. "And that is what I love about you, darlin'."

As the two spoke, the three groups of three headed out for their respective areas. Groups A and B utilized the Garganta to get to the Soul Society, as well as the forests around it. When they landed, Group A headed towards Rukngai, while Group B split up, and headed into the forests. Group C, however, headed deeper into Huec Mundo, towards the camp of the unwitting Decrassion. The leader of group C spoke as they headed in. "These filth... why have we yet to destroy them?" The question was rhetorical, and his subordinates dared not answer.

------

Nel stretched as she woke up, as she did every morning, or so it seemed. Without thinking about anything, she hopped up, and walked around her tent a few times, as part of her morning routine. The sand in the circular area she walked was steadily decreasing due to her walking patterns. The Decrassion had not moved in a while, as they had not been disturbed by any of the feral Hollows, or struggling Arrancar that were left over. As she walked in the circle, she reflected on her dream the night before. She had dreamed the moon of Hueco Mundo began to glow red, and it began to destroy everything in sight. After Hueco Mundo was gone, it moved on to the Soul Society, and finally the human world, but she was not about to let that happen. As her daily pacing ended, she put on her dress, a replica of her old Arrancar clothing, but black, and headed out of her large tent. The sight that met her was a large camp, full of tents, made from salvaged real world materials, and a new day for the camp to do what they had to do. Save souls. She began to walk towards the tent next to hers, she was met by two flying figures. She fell to the ground, laughing, as Dondochakka and Pesche had glomped her. She pushed the two off, and told them good morning, as well as telling them to wake up the camp. "You two are a lot louder than I am, so you do it." She had told them, to get them to do their assigned duties. They were still Arrancar, but the group loved them all the same.

------

Ralis heard Pesche yelling into his tent, and he would not stand for that. He shot out of bed, uncharaceteristically, and fussed at the Arrancar. "I told you to stay away from my tent, Pesche." He drew his Zanpakutou, Sendotou, and held it at Pesche's throat. He heard him crack a joke about how he needed to watch where he poked that thing, and that set Ralis off, chasing the Arrancar around camp, shirtless. He let Pesche get away, after he hit him upside the had, and returned to his tent to put his clothes on. A ew minutes later, Ralis emerged, and headed towards the giant tent Nel used, approaching her without fear. He admired her a lot, almost obsessively. As he arrived at the tent, he knocked, and gave Nel his usual calm 'Good Morning", before moving on to help the Arrancar wake up the others. "Another day, another mission, another fight, possibly."

Sven woke up to the usual bright sun shining in on his little house. After being forced to live in solitude, he had to survive somehow. Over the years he had made improvements to his little shack to it's now standing position as a small house. Today seemed to be normal, as the animals walked along and flew by him like he was one of them. Sven decided to begin his normal routine of chopping firewood and chopping the field to a low level. Any random person who walked by would see him as a normal person living in the forest, but he wasn't normal at all. He was a Vizard or in other terms a Shinigami who could turn Hollow. He didn't need to fight by being out in the forest, so he never had need to bring his zanpakuto with his anywhere he went. He didn't need to pull out his mask either for that matter, since nothing required him to do so. "Well just another day," he said to himself as if bored by his situation.

Serket awoke to the sound of shouting outside of his dwelling, unacceptable, why did his group need to be awakened this way? He sighed and blasted a small Bara outside to indicate he was awake, noting to himself never use reaistu in the morning due to the strain he felt soon after. He stumbled around the tent, clawing around for Rendasuru, still fairly drowsy. Eventually he felt the sheath of his blade, which he placed on his back to be held with a long length of rope. He then forced himself out of his tent and walked towards his leader's tent. Serket had always liked Neliel and her positivity, helped him live with being forced to occasionally kill his own kind, however he still respected the woman, she was a lot stronger then him and had easily beat him into submission when they first met. He let out a dull "Hello" before looking at the ones who had awakened before him. First person he saw was Pesche and Dondochakka, while their positive attitudes also uplifted him he didn't like their somewhat brainless nature. He then looked at Ralis, though he liked the name he notice that he had never spoken to his potential comrade. He then laid down in the middle of the campsite, he needed rest, the last mission had token a lot out of him. He curled into a ball and closed his eyes, if Neliel needed him she could wake him but for now he just wanted some peace and quiet.

All of the Gotei 13 had been called together for a very special event. After seventy five years, a shinigami suitable for the position of thirteenth squad captain had been found. Ever since the incident in the past of the second squad captain's assault of two other captains many shinigami had been trying to obtain and master their bankai to fill the three vacant positions. Unfortunately, only one had succeeded and while he was certainly no longer on any lieutenant's level, it could not be said this new captain was comparable to any of the already established captains. Captain Commander Byakuya Kuchiki just had to hope that would change with time. More so than others, the vacant positions were not stressing him. He had fought in Soul Society's greatest crisis and in that time three captains had defected. In the case of having three captains dead but not opposing them, Byakuya felt it was a rather simple matter of waiting for time. The ceremony went rather simply, ending with the new captain releasing his shikai for all to see. It was a rather simple fire based shikai, and it got Byakuya thinking as to when the last time he saw a truly unique zanpakuto was. The ceremony over, the captains, lieutenants, and other seated officers began to congratulate the new captain. However Byakuya didn't want to let it last too long. Before long each captain and lieutenant saw a hell butterfly flutter down near their ears with a simple message from Captain Commander Kuchiki. It said, "All captains and lieutenants are to meet in half an hour as scheduled. No ceremony will make an exception to these meetings." Simple yes, but very much from Byakuya. Byakuya was already inside the meeting room and would await the arrival of the captains and lieutenants over the next half hour. He was already rather sure he'd have to lecture the new thirteenth captain as he was rather sure he'd be late with all the people who would want to speak with him.

Armand had already been up for about an hour when he heard Dondachakka and Pesche begin waking the group. He hadn't been in his tent as he was off thinking on his own.
"This constant darkness and moonlight... it's depressing. Though I can only barely remember the sun. Funny how I never found it depressing but rather invigorating as a hollow." he thought. He saw Ralis chasing Pesche for a bit and got up from the sand he had been sitting in to head in. As he stood he sort of instinctively placed his left hand on Kumohyou, his zanpakuto, that rested horizontally across his back at about his waist. He walked into the middle of camp where he saw Serket, Dondachakka, and Pesche. Serket seemed to be getting back to sleep and Nel's fraccion were no doubt off to wake the rest of the group. Ralis was off to Nel's tent as Armand had expected him to be.
"We all care a great deal for Ms. Nel, but Ralis without a doubt competes the most for her attention with her fraccion." Armand thought as he took a seat in the sand not too far away from Serket. He probably should have been off to Nel's tent as well in case he was needed for anything, but it was early and he didn't have too much of a drive to do much at the moment. That and he wasn't one to go out and ask people about what he might be able to do for them.

Hayate former Captain of the 9th squad and now an outcast or as he was concerened a demoted Vizard was walking through the outskirts of the Soul Societies forest. A dark -skinned man with a fairly muscular physique. Hayate’s hair is worn in long dark braids that has a dark blue tint, his eyes are dark brown almost black. His facial hair consists of a thin dark goatee. He through his sleeveless haori over his back. Placing his long white gloves that reaches his forearms on he began to use a flash step to cover a bit of the ground he needed to bypass. “It seems like its been forever since I’ve seen another Vizard, I wonder if there are any others like me here looking for peace and the possible redemption of regaining their former glory.”

As Hayate reached a field he flew a crossed it with relative ease. Their was no time to waste he had hoped to here some news from an official member of the Gotei 13 whether their was more Vizards that remained in the Soul Society or if their where none. He slowed down a bit and began walking slowly again as he took a sip of the sake he had been saving for a few days. “Where should I head today?”

Apollo heard the Hell Butterfly's message. "Captain-Commander wants a meeting, now?" He asked himself with a puzzled look on his face, and turned around to see his fellow Captains and Lieutenants with the same look. Apollo slowly stepped away from the festivities, and began walking to the meeting room. While walking he slowly put his hand on Jinrai's hilt, and clutched it. He frequently found himself holding his sword for no reason, Apollo wondered if he did this because he is always nervous wondering if someone will literally "Stab Him in the Back" like that client did. He put his hand softly on the door and swung it opened, his eyes shifted some the Captain Commander and back to his feet. He slowly stepped to his spot, behind the Captain of Squad 7.

The forest was vibrating. Junichiro, sitting on a branch about a hundred feet off the ground, could feel the different reiatsus making their way throughout the Rukongai. None of them were heading in his direction but they close enough to make him feel it. He could not recognize their nature. They were neither Shinigami nor Hollow, but a mixture of the two. It reminded him of his own, and - frighteningly - that of the masked traitor he had met when all of this began. Most likely, they were like him. Outcast from the Shinigami, deemed dangerous to Soul Society and best executed. Abomination, they'd called him. Monster, they'd called him. The friends he had shared rooms with had turned him away. He tapped his left temple.
"Can you feel it, Ketuseki? These dark winds coming in from worlds beyond our own? Can you hold them, Danryokusei? These dangers that close in on us?"
He leaned back on the tree's stem - and opened his eyes to enter a different forest.

He was now several miles above ground, in the grand "world tree" he always found himself in when he entered his inner world. No wind was blowing, yet the clouds were passing steadily above and birds sung from far below. It was a tranquil place, as always. The alien reiatsu from outside was barely present, appearing as a cloud going against the others or a bird in a different tune. Both Ketuseki and Danryokusei were sitting a few branches above him, looking down on him. Junichiro nodded at Ketuseki.
"I'm glad you answered my call."
His inner hollow only nodded. He had never been much of a talker. Instead, Danryokusei, eager as she was, picked up the line.
"We don't have much choice now, do we? We could sense it as well as you, Juni. A storm is coming."
Ketuseki nodded again.
"Or a bushfire. We might need to leave the forest, Junichiro-kun."
Almost two complete sentences from him. Must've called him on a good day. Junichiro nodded.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that. But I will be prepared to leave should the need arise. I believe the other reiatsus in the forest belongs to people like myself."
Danryokusei nodded.
"And they don't seem friendly, either. Other reiatsus have been snuffed out like candles along their way. It's as if they don't even care!"
Junichiro nodded. Being closer related to nature than him, Danryokusei could pick up things like that. Her reiatsu perception was probably stronger than his own.
"And I will punish them once I meet them. Now, I must return."
Danryokusei twitched a little, and both of them smiled.

The reiatsus were different now, and the sun was in a different position. No more than a few hours had passed since his entrance. He took out the katana from its sheath, and jumped down from the branch. He was ready to face the enemy.

After working for a few hours, Sven sensed a presence nearby. His little house was only a small distance from a field near the edge of the forest and someone had just gone through it. "Hmm, that's interesting. This person is not a normal shinigami or a lost soul from Rukongai. They are a mix of shinigami and hollow, much like myself. Though I have no seen someone with this mix for ages or for that matter ever," he said to himself. Sven quickly made his way back to his house from where he was in the forest and grabbed his zanpakuto. Though he wouldn't use it, it might be needed and he was always prepared. He placed it in it's usual spot on his right hip and made his way back to where he was. Then he carried on his work, but was watching for this person who was near him.

There in Soul Society in one of the older buildings no one visits anymore. As Norio walks around he could hear the floor boards creak with each footstep he makes. In the small, cramp room papers scatter all over the floor. Norio looks around at the mess looking for something of to aid him. Then at the corner of his eye, Norio sees something that could help him.

Picking up a stack of a few papers, theses were the papers he was looking for. The details of a mutated beetle Norio discovered in the nearby forest where high concentration of reitsu gather. Norio doesn't know why, but the effects of the high concentration affect the growth of the beetles making them grow to the size of a human hand. Norio walks over to his work table.

On the table, there were many jars which contain some of the specimens of beetle from the forest. All the beetle mindlessly looking around as each of them were of different colors, sizes and some oddly shaped with wings growing in places where they shouldn't. Some beetles benefit from the high concentration of reitsu.

This interests Norio as he wants to visit the forest a few more times to figure out what the cause is, but he knows there is a Captains meeting coming up so he must attend it. Norio heads over to the door and slides it out of the way and he starts heading to the meeting hall.

Basq was at the event indeed, but didn't really want to be sociable at this time. He sat there, looking carefree like always, and watched the new captain display his zanpakutou. It was than time for them to meet, he came face to face with the new captain, smiled, and shook his hand all while exchanging names with him as is the customary process. Basq went to the back of the crowd and started searching to see if someone else was there but didn't seem to find them, judging by his sigh. Basq's sword began to shake under his captains robes. "Mamori..." He said quietly to his sword and it seemed to have stopped shaking. A hell butterfly landed on Basq's shoulder and delivered it's message, afterward Basq started walking towards the meeting hall. He slid the door open and walked into the hall, taking his spot as the Fourth Squad Captain. "You'll have to excuse my lieutenant, she's feeling ill today and won't be able to attend." Basq explained to Byakuya and then began waiting for the others.

As the group walked through the forest, they sensed a couple of their targets. "Alright then, it's time. Hoshi, head out. You've surely sensed the two already. I'll be headed out too.", the Group B leader commanded. Hoshi nodded, and spoke back to his superior. "I'll take the one to the east." Without awaiting approval, he headed off towards Sven's position. Kaede shook her head at her old partner, and simply sighed. "So, Junko, it seems you'll be staying with them a bit longer. Make sure you finish your mission, alright?" Junko did not respond, and Kaede headed off towards Junichiro, knowing he got the message. The raven-haired leader of Group B spoke, "So, it seems we'll be travelling together a bit longer, Junko. Well, let's get a move on."

------

Hoshi arrived near the shed, and began to watch from the shadows of the trees. Hmm... way out here? Alone? Why is he out here.... He must be a Vizard.. Without any further thought, Hoshi pulled out his Zanpakuto, and walked towards the small building.

------

Kaede had stood patiently below Junichiro, until he hopped down. She figured he had been communing with his inner self. "Well, hello there hot stuff." The female Shinigami said as he landed. "I didn't think you would ever come out of your trance. So, why are you way out here, hm?" She leaned against the very same tree Junichiro had been in, and smiled, while brushing a lock of her red (orange) hair out of her eyes. "Well? Only Vizards inhabit the woods. If you were one of those... then death would be fitting."

------

As Group C closed in on the Decrassion camp, full of children of the Decrassion, the leader chuckled. "Oh ,this will be fun. Shedding this filth's blood is something I've waited on for a LONG time. A Long time indeed. You two ready?" He spoke to the two cloaked subordinates, the left one nodding. "Look, Hibiki, I don't have this blood lust you do for them. Neither does Aya, so leave us out of your sick fantasies." Ayame spat out at her leader. Without a word, Hibiki back-handed Ayame, and watched her sprawl. You think I care? BLOOD WILL BE SPILLED." He turned on his heels and marched towards the camp, before calling back. "Hurry up, twins, I personally selected you two to come with me." As he walked off, Aya knealt down to her sister, and helped her up. "Look, I don't need you to stupidly protect me. He's a horrid man we know. We won't hae to deal with him for too long, I hope."

------

Nel sensed the approaching leader, and his reiatsu put her on edge. He seemed coarse and intent on killing. She ran out into the camp, and got the first three of her followers to help her. She called their names as she ran by them. "Ralis, Serket, Armand, follow me! Something urgent has come up." She kept her hand on her weapon, ready to draw at any moment. "The children cannot meet any harm. None of them may meet death this day."

Sven chopped down a decent sized tree and called out, "Timber," though knowing no one but him was around. Once it had fallen he removed the branches with the axe he had and began cutting it into pieces he could carry back to his small house. Then he sensed another presence, one of a Shinigami. "What is a Shinigami doing near here," he asked himself as he stopped cutting for a moment. He looked up and towards his house, being just able to see the far side of it. Though he wasn't far from his house, the woods were decently thick, making it hard to see anyone inside the woods. He put the axe inside of the trunk of the tree and waited for the Shinigami to step into view.

Impossible.
Junichiro stood perfectly still, his right hand in a firm grip around the hilt of his katana.
She suppressed her reiatsu to that degree? Neither me nor Danryokusei noticed her presence? Impossible.
"No, Shinigami. Death would not be fitting. Death is not a desirable state, not for me nor for you to inflict on me. I have no wish to fight, but if that is your attitude I guess I have no other option."
He turned around to face his red-haired opponent, and fully unsheathed his sword.
"As for my state of existence... Yes, I am both Shinigami and Hollow. But I am no beast, to be executed by your will. I am natural."
He lifted the sword with great unfamiliarity. He had only had to fight scarcely during his time in the forest, against the occasional Shinigami or Hollow that threatened him, and he could not clearly remember his last battle. Regardless, he had made his decision. If he needed to fight, then he would.
"If you wish to disrupt the balance of nature, Shinigami, then come at me."

Byakuya nodded to each person that was to come to the meeting as they entered. The captain of squad four entered and asked for his ill lieutenant to be excused.
"Thank you for the information Captain Sisco. Be sure she gets well soon. It would be a shame to lose such a talented member of the fourth squad." Byakuya said. Before long everyone who was to be at the meeting, namely all captains and lieutenants who were able to, was present. To Byakuya's surprise, the new thirteenth captain hadn't been late.
"Welcome everyone. I'm glad you were able to come. I hope you can understand why this meeting was called so soon after today's ceremony. However keeping all of the Gotei Thirteen in one spot for long is a very foolish move indeed. Now then, we first give our official welcome to the thirteenth squad's new captain." Byakuya said. He made a quick bowing motion and everyone followed in his lead. Then the new captain bowed as well and took his spot in the room.
"Now then, the main reason this meeting has been called. As of late we've had signs of odd reiatsus moving about the edges of Soul Society. Nothing malignant or hollow like yet unknown and unfamiliar to us. Now we in no way assume this is some attack on the Gotei Thirteen. However we would like about three of you here to go and investigate or at least to be on standby should anything in the area occur. The reiatsus give no indication of being on lieutenant level, at least they have yet to, but should they be hollow or something of the like we would prefer to have them eliminated on the spot. Now then, would any of you care to volunteer or should I skip to assigning?" Byakuya said.

--------

All at once Nel had moved out of her tent and called Ralis, Serket, and Armand to her. Armand as of yet had not felt the presence of anything dangerous but Nel was much better at sensing people. If she was alarmed there was good reason to be on guard. Armand all at once got off the ground, again moving his left had to the handle of his zanpakuto, and ran after Nel and Ralis, with Serket sure to follow behind. As he ran the longer tails of his white shirt, as well as his very long and flowing red hair, started flapping, though not wildly as Armand wasn't one to mess up his hair.
"If I may ask Ms. Nel, what exactly is the matter?" Armand said as the group followed Nel. He didn't really need to know what was happening, he just had to fight whoever Nel said he had to. Though knowing something about the situation couldn't hurt.

"Oh how much is it to ask for a little sleep around here.... I miss my tail..." Serket mumbled to himself while pushing himself up to a upright position. He then drew his Zanpakuto from his sheath and held it in front of his face, not that this would do anything unreleased, Serket was always terrible at swordplay, hell that was the reason that he had been beaten by some random Arrancars the day before. He then preformed a Sonido to catch up with Neliel, as hard this task was he hated being the last in line. "So Neliel, what's the problem? Hollows attacking the base?" The scorpion Decrassion said to the woman. Serket knew that his superior would not call on them for some wild goose chase, there had to be a serious threat to be called into battle so soon.

Apollo stepped forward, ahead of his Captain, and bowed his head. "I would be honored, Captain-Commader Kuchiki!" he said valiantly. Apollo slowly shifted his eyes, to Byakuya's. "Sir, believe me, I can do all you ask" He continued, "Just please, Sir, give me the chance". Apollo felt some chills up crawling up his back, this was the first time he had ever truly talked to the Captain-Commander. He looked back at his Captain, who stunned slowly shook his head. He turned his head back to Kuchiki, and waited for an answer.

Basq seemed to have his mind on other things and really wasn't listening to the other part of meeting but he did zone in long enough to hear about the mission and decided he'd be just right for it. He stepped forward but didn't look at Byakuya directly at first but did so before he spoke. "They'll need an expert healer and reitsu user so I guess I'm in for this mission. If they do turn out to be hostile we may have men down." Basq said, and then retook his position in the line up.

Hoshi Flash Stepped into the clearing, and began to look around. He sensed the Vizard, and had also sensed that he had been detected, via a shift in Sven's reiatsu. "Come on out, Vizard. Captain Commander says you all need to die, and I'm here to make it happen! So appear, or I'll blow your little house down.

------

Kaede gave a sly smile as Junichiro fumbled, slightly. She figured it was from a lack of use. "Well, well. I'm only following Captain Commander Kuchiki's orders. We have been sent to kill you all, you Vizards. you are crimes against the Soul society, and the Captain Commander will stand it no longer. So," She began as she drew her blade, "Are you ready for me, baby?"

------

Nel looked over her shoulder at Armand and Serket, as to respond to their questions. "Vizards, guys. Not Hollows, not Arrancar, but Vizards. Powerful Vizards at that." She kept running, and moved ahead of the trio as she moved. Ralis was thinking about how Vizards would ever find them in the middle of the desert... it made no sense. "Are there any traitors around us? Anyone that left our group? I can think of none that they would leak valuable information like this out!"

------

Hibiki walked to the top of the hill overlooking the camp, and he noticed four figures, three in the rear, and one leading the group. He recognized the leader as the one they wanted to enrage. Nelel Tu Odelschwank. He broke out into a wide grin, before barking to his subordnates. "Aya, Ayame! Get your worthless rumps up here now! we have company!" Without waiting, he drew his sword, nd pointed it at the oncoming group. "Hear me! I am Hibiki of the Vizards! We have learned of your existence, vermin, and our leader sent us to eliminate you!" He shot down the hill at Nel, wanting his fight.

------

Nel drew her blade, and met Hibiki's head on. She looked into his eyes, and he seemed off, as if someone was pulling his strings. That, or he was just plain mad. "Why kill us? We have done nothing to you!" She repulsed Hibiki and his blade as Aya and Ayame got to the top of the hill, and she gave her orders. "Serket, with me. Armand, you take the girl on the rigt. Ralis, the girl on the left." Nel wasted no time in releasing her lade, knowing the fight needed to end swiftly. "Declare, Reiyoukishi!" Her blade became her signature jousting lance, and she shot at Hibiki.

Hibiki decided it was time as well, for his release. "Learn, Shijukagami!" His blade became a perfectly round shield on his arm,, with a flat mirror surface. "Have at thee, Nelliel Tu!" He let his mirror become an exact replica of Nel's weapon, but with a mirror surface all around it. "Let's go!"

------

Aya appeared to the right of Hibiki and Nel, Aya now stood before Ralis. "Sorry about this..." She mumbled, barely audible, and drew her Zanpakuto. "You ready to fight, Decrassion? We are here to eliminate you. Surround them, Karui Ryouiki!" The hilt became gold metal, became much longer, and wrapped itself in several coils around her left arm. The blade became pure white in color and became roughly 6-7 feet in length. With Aya as the center, a circle of light extended outward for roughly 50 feet.

Ayame appeared on the opposite side of her sister, before Armand. "Let's go, before he gets out of hand." She said, motioning to Hibiki. "Spread over the land, In no Kaba!" Her Zanpakuto was identical to her sister's, except it was on her right arm, its hilt was black metal, its blade was pure black, and the same circle appeared, but it concealed her in darkness, rather than light.

------

Ralis had to cover his eyes in order to even see with the bright light from Aya's Shikai. He did not wait to release his blade, knowing he would need it against someone who uses light. "Reap what's been sown, Sendotou." His blade became a pitch-black scythe, with a double-edged silver blade on it. "Looks like I'll need to start with this! Kurenai Karite!" He brought sendotou down, and it shot a blood-red, fat crescent out of it as he did. It spaun around in the air as it shot, and it went into the circle. Aya never moved, and the moment it hit her, it fizzled into nothing. "What?!"

Aya shook her head. "Tsk, a Reiatsu attack? Too bad. I was hoping otherwise, for your sake."

"On it!" Serket said, quickly propelling himself into the air behind Neliel and held his Zanpakuto in front of him. Our opponent's weapon seems to be able to copy people's Zanpakuto... luckily I'm with Neliel right now, I can provide cover with my blade and blasts. "Lash, Rendasuru" Serket's blade grew a additional blade protruding from its grip, resembling a jutte, it also grew a length of rope from its end attached to its sheath. "Okay Rendasuru, lets do our thing" Serket said, spinning Rendasuru a bit before throwing his weapon at the Vizard's feet, using the prong on his weapon to create a loop, hoping to entangle his opponents leg. This opponent is not weak enough for me to take down with such a menial tactic, fortunately I have the best fighters of the Decrassion here, we should be able to take them all if we coordinate our attacks

Today had been a regular day for Kaizou, the forest was as quiet as usual. Kaizou laid under a rather large tree, a short rimmed cowboy hat was overshadowing his face. His zanpakuto was hidden in it's sheath, which was hidden in a golf club case. You could never be too sure on people, so he wanted to look as nonthreatening as possible. Generally it worked. Yet today, felt... Different. Maybe it was the wind, maybe it was the fact that he hadn't seen much people lately. Maybe it was just a gut feeling, and he shouldn't worry. But... His gut had a tendency to be right.

Junichiro sighed.
"And for a moment, Shinigami, I thought you were different. Yet, you are the same as every single one of them. At least that thing never changed. For that, I am glad."
He raised his katana, and held it in his right hand.
"I do not like bloodshed, Shinigami. Your body will be untainted."
Watch over me, Danryokusei. Ketuseki. If I need you, I will call for you without words and without movement. Answer my call.

"Did you hear the wind, Ketuseki?"
The Zanpakuto did not look directly at the Hollow, sitting a few branches beneath her, but into the distance. The Hollow nodded.
"He's confident now, but he cannot fight alone. The other one's power is too great for him to take on alone. When his call comes, I will heed it."
The bark-skinned girl looked down at her equally-appearing acquaintance. They were as different as night and day, but yet so similar. She nodded.
"There will be a storm. When that storm comes, I will rush into it without second thought."

Junichiro felt a warmth inside his chest, pulsing out into his body. He nodded.
"If you wish to kill me, Shinigami, then come at me. I will not make the first move against an aggressor."

Kaede raised her eyebrows at the Vizard's words. "Oh? You plan to leave me uncut? How fitting, as I hope for the same in my fights... Kiss, Dokubara." Kaede's blade transformed into a whip. The handle of the whip was wooden, and the actual whip was a vine about 5 feet long. The vine was a dark green, and had 6 roses on it, with a good amount of space between each. "This has no edge on it, not even the thorns that usually accompany roses. I don't like stabbing, honestly." Kaede Flash Stepped to about 4 feet from Junichiro, and brought the whip down.

Junko picked up his trace of Reiatsu, and mumbled something to Alberich about his time having come. Rather than speeding off, he walked slowly in the direction of Kaizou's reiatsu. "Time for this plan to be advanced. Thank God I got the last one, so I'll have to fight the least." It took a small amount of time, but Junko arrived in the area of Kaizou. "Get up, Vizard." Junko said calmly, as he approached. "My mission is to rid the forest of you. Captain commander's orders."

------

Hibiki laughed maniacally as Serket released his Zanpakuto. "Thanks, kid, you helped me out!" As he spoke, the Lance he had summoned began to glow, and some reiatsu came out of it, and went into his left hand. It began to take the form of Serket's weapon, and then became a mirror version, just like the lance. He used the lance to block Nel's charge, then used the mirror of Serket's to slice across her back. "YES!"

------

Nel's eyes widened in pain as the Zanpakuto crossed her back. She had never thought she would feel one of her subordinates' blades. She backed off, and spoke to said subordinate. "Serket, careful. You can see why." She felt the blood, but was going to ignore it. "We might need bankai before long... let's hope not." She shot back in with her lance ahead. "Follow my lead!" Within a few seconds, she was at Hibiki, ready to stab.

------

Alberich's group finally arrived at the gates of the Rukongai. He brushed his hair out of his eyes, before knocking on the gate. "Hey! We're messengers from the king, on orders to see the Captain Commander immediately! Urgent news needs to be imparted!" He stepped back as he awaited a response, and spoke to his subordinates. "It's time, guys. We have to fulfill our mission in order to allow his plan to grow, and we want that badly."

"....Aw crap" Serket said before pulling back his Zanpakuto So his weapon can copy more Zanpakuto's abilities then one? Thank god we only outnumber him by one, if she had chosen Ralis to help her we would be in deep trouble. He then flew behind the Vizard, viewing the battle intently, his hands glowing with reaistu. A couple of blasts should throw him off of Neliel, since our Zanpakuto are merely physical changes, no reaistu based attacks, we should be able to defeat him if we force our reaistu onto him. "Bara!" He shouted, punching four blasts of reaistu off of his fists, aiming at his foes back.

Junichiro held out the point of his katana, seemingly to parry the incoming attack, but in the slender movement he sent away a thought - and the weapon extended. The blade became a long handle, and the very point split in two. Now, it had become a halberd. On contact with the whip, the rope-like weapon stuck to the halberd's blade. Junichiro smiled.
"You must have misunderstood me, Shinigami. I do not want any bloodshed, for I do not wish to taint the forest. Killing you, on the other hand, I have no problem with."
He nodded at the halberd.
"Your mistake was letting your weapon contact mine. Danryokusei has the ability to maintain the status quo upon activation, limiting itself to anything it can touch. In other words, you can no longer use your weapon."
He raised his left hand.
"Hadou #28. Shiroikyousha. Good night, Shinigami."
A beam of reiryoku shot out from his left hand, going straight for the close-by Shinigami.

Byakuya looked around the room and thanked each of the two volunteers for being eager to assist in this effort despite the fact it could all potentially be a waste of time. He didn't feel it was wise to leave it to two people even if both were of lieutenant strength or higher. In fact, sending the fourth captain was both wise and foolish. The men would need medical attention if it was something dangerous but if the fourth captain was the only one to move in and he were injured there was a chance of losing him. And so Byakuya decided an assignment needed to be made.
"Captain Tanaka, you are to accompany Captin Sisco and Lieutenant Hunter on this assignment? Have you any objections?" Byakuya said. He didn't want to send any unwilling member into such a mission as it required patience, stealth, and potentially power and did not need the lackluster job of an unmotivated individual.

Nel quickly said that Vizards were attacking them and before long the group ran into three of them. Two women and and a man. Armand took Nel's orders without word and moved to her right. Nel and Serket were to take the man, Ralis to take the woman on the left, and he was to take the woman on the right. Before long the two women released their swords creating similar and yet very different fields of influence. The woman in front of Armand was now generating a field of darkness about her and in the limited light if hueco mundo was mostly an outline in the middle of her power. The others had been quick to release their zanpakuto and Armand was not fool enough to think he could fight with the woman with a sealed blade.

"Hunt on the winds, Kumohyou." Armand said. He hadn't spoken in a loud voice but it still had presence. As he slowly drew his zanpakuto both the blade and the sheath began to glow somewhat. Then around each hand appeared what seemed like long metal claws. Two gauntlets of sorts, though without real hand protection, with four claws on each with each claw measuring about two feet in length.
"Conceal yourself in your shroud while you can." he said quickly. He then moved with a flash step in front of the woman and moved to slash at her face with the blades on his left hand. His speed was quite impressive and from the size of the woman's weapon he felt that she couldn't be as fast though he had to be ready in case she was.
