RAEGING D0GKING
Dice should be better in stead of monster stars. Then you the board would be smaller. I also think instead of Life Points there should be like heart points or something (just like in the anime) I you attack directly with any monster your opponent loses 1 heart point and the monster returns to your hand. -Griffin
Just to be clear, I'll pretend this was aimed at my post and answer as such.
How do you Synchro Materials all touching each other (aka, no gaps, all must be close) - Synchro appears on any space a material was. /Fuse? Contact: Same as Synchro, really. w/ Fusion Card: Fusion Card can take monsters from anywhere, monster appears where card was activated.. Fusion Gate: Materials from anywhere, monster on backrow. What happens if you want to tag Glads out? Monsters can appear next to what Summoned them, so on the Glad that just left If something recruits something, where does the monster go? See Glads Leave field nukers as they are, and nuke the entire game field. BRD would suck otherwise. #1) It doesn't matter if BRD sucks, this is a different game that'd have different useful cards. For all I care, CyJar could be balanced and Larvae Moth meta in this format - that isn't a problem by default just because the TCG is different. #2) Just to humor you, if BRD landed on the red square, it'd hit all the black ones, are you still sure it 'sucks'?

Also note, you can move forward another square to hit less of yours and more of theirs, that's just the most square you hit.

I like these rules, although I think moving on summon is reasonable. Except for Glad tag-outs, since that was just mentioned. We could BKSS that any tag-out effect doesn't allow a move-on-summon. EDIT: Well, since this has (or will have) its own banlist, we might as well take the opportunity and BAN JUDGMENT DRAGON.
How about: Movement only in MP1 - you can move on Summon - you can only attack adjacent? Sounds like the best options to me.
BulletMan
For Rituals, we ought to give them an advantage. If you Ritual Summon and 1 of the Tributes was on the field, you can place the Ritual Monster there. If both were from the hand, it goes to the backrow. .Gideon.
Sounds fun what about monster effects that require a tribute ? Like Gottoms Tributing monsters only in the range of gottoms or must be touching ?
Lonk
Combination Shot of Duelists of the Roses and Dungeon Dice Monsters. I played something like this before with my younger brother.
BulletMan
Tributing for effects...I suppose that sounds right. Having to be next to the monster.
Family Friendly
It'd be cool if there was a sort-of point system with the monsters. Like, max 100 Level Stars (this is hypothetical) in a deck, so that you couldn't just spam heavy movers/hitters.
BulletMan
BUMP I've decided to see how far this little game will go. I shall use DBF (Duel Boarding Format) to represent. Not only is this version of yugioh slightly unique, but I plan on testing this at my locals and see how it plays out. If people find this fun and worthy, I'll continue on developing this game. I might even make a video explaining the game and rules. If this began to catch on (yeah right)...well, yay. But for continuing discussion, I want to see what we can do about cards that negate attacks, or just stall cards, see if we can make some ruling to make the game faster. Sleepy
I have an idea. In exchange for the extreme potential range of destruction field nukers have, and by removing the "1 direct attack per turn" rule.... maybe it wold work out better if the field was bigger (I Know it already has trouble fitting into other surfaces, but game-wise, it might prove interesting). I was thinking on 20x20 although might be too much. Still, that BRD red dot will get about 1/4 of the playmat only, and potentially your cards too.. that is, if something in the rules prevents you from moving away all your pieces enough to save them from the field nuke previous from happening... somehow. BulletMan
20 x 20 is indeed too much. I already made a mat with 10 x 10 and that thing can cover the table (a part of it) at my locals. 20x20 would cover the entire table, and game would be way slow. Eventually, somebody will come up with a nuker thing. My best idea is that the monster must be in what is called The Central Field (This is where your field meets the opponents, and the 2 touching rows are this Field). Now, cards that destroy all cards/sends them to the grave, nukers, Effect Monsters only for the moment can only activate their effect here in the Central Field. They can be as far Left or Right in the Central Field. These nukers will have a nuke radius. JD for example is in the middle of the field, you activate it and all cards in the radius will go 8 spaces in each direction, so everything would go. I do believe CED-EotE would not be as broken in this format, so it would be okay at 1. Which leads me to Spirits. They would be so weak in this format they could LITERALLY never move unless with specific support. That is why I have decided on a ruling for spirits: Spirits Ruling: If a Spirit Monster does not move it will return to the owners hand during the End Phase. If it moves, it does not return. Spirit Monsters can move the turn their Summoned. So Spirits get a boost, a little boost, in this format. Yata Garasu would not be banned in this format (If it attacked directly, it would just return to the hand and it wouldn't do much for it could not move so well on the field) And more than 1 monster can attack directly now (I forgot to edit.) BulletMan
I'm afraid I have to bump this for I added several new rules. Including one that helps against stall decks.
TechnoDoomedOne
Maybe you should make ALL nukers have a radius like this one: That would surely balance them out.
BulletMan
You know, I could probably do that. Though that nuker appears to be Level 4, but maybe I can lower their range to instead of their Level in a full radius, there entire radius would make up their Level, so JD would only extend 4 spaces north, south, west, etc. Still thinking. .Nu-13
I think that you should make field nukers like this: Nuker is Level 2. So, it destroys everythin in 2 zones. And if you want, i can make official rulebook for Duel Boarding cuz i'm bored
