Welcome to Gakuen D, my attempt at a Duel Academy RP! This will also serve as a way to ease into RE:turn.
Think of this RP as the line for a really big roller coaster, with RE:turn as the coaster. Once you get to the end of this RP, the survivors will be strapped in, and ready for a wild ride!

Welcome to Kugena City, home of the legendary Duel Academy D! Here, the best and brightest duelists come here to learn how to be pros!
...or at least, that's how it's supposed to be...
For some strange reason, all of the teachers and students seem a bit out of place, like they don't belong here. Also, there seems to be an odd proportion of strong decks in a simple Academy, like Itsu Solace's Glory Heroes, Desna Adats' Satellite-based "Star Wars" combos, and Ruby Anderson-Yuki's Crystal Beast Deck. Furthermore, pretty much everyone on campus has gaps in their memories, or their memories seem a bit too generic. Kugena City is filled with very plain, ordinary people who cannot seem to give too many answers to questions, or are unable to answer complex queries. And Kugena City is on a large volcanic island surrounded by water, with ships heading off to several other ports.
Everything seems a little bit off here at the Academy, and once something mysterious happens, things start to fall apart...

0. If you have any questions, please PM me.
1. All YCM rules apply.
2. Your character will have a hidden past that they might dream about, but cannot fully understand. I will PM you when your character is supposed to remember their past, but they cannot know their true memories until I say so. If you try to break this rule, you will be banned.
3. Merciful Idiot is my co-owner, and he will make sure that everything goes smoothly. Also, both of us have to approve of your app to accept it. RotME characters are automatically accepted.
4. You may create NPCs for the city, such as a card dealer or just a generic student, but anyone can control them.
5. You may use alternate-reality versions of actual Yu-Gi-Oh! characters as your character, but tweak them a little to make them original enough.
6. This is a Duel Academy RP, but this uses the New Domino Duel Academy for its basis. The students can live in dorms or off campus in the city proper.
7. There will be no Turbo Duels, though this rule is subject to change.

Personality: Dez is the person who is cheery and very lighthearted. He never sees a person as a complete lost and will try to make the bad guys good. Unknownly he has a dark inside.

Fake Bio: Dez was born in New domino city. His parents were very wealthy and bought him all the cards he wanted. When he was little his life was enjoyable and it seemed it was perfect. He soon started to attend the duel academy in New Domino City. He made many friends and his life seemed great. Though he has gaps in his memory or feels as though some things didn't occur un the correct way, he ignores it. Sometimes horrid memories that he knows never occur flash into his memory and he would stay in his dorm crying for hours. Perhaps something to do with his past.
Real Bio: Dez has been around since the begining of time. His true Identity is the Dark Creator. During a particular incident over 10000 years ago he lost his memory and didn't wake up for several years. He had reverted into a human form. His memories to him, never happened though they did. When his supposive parents found him they tried to have him killed so they could get his life insurance money since they had hit hard economic times. His rage filled up and he became very aggressive. He murdered his parents, then one day he awoke in duel acamdemy having no recollection of any of the events. He has memory flashes of his past as the Dark Creator.

Personality: Ruthless and cruel to most, although calculating. Ignores anyone unimportant. Has divine air. Also acts ridiculous at other times. And other stuff.

Fake Bio: He had found himself in some Duel Academy, with memories of a normal Arab family living in Antartica, blablabla, which he had easily identified as fake. Whose sick joke was this? But he played along, and it also seemed there was Itsu. He still had doubts, but that didn't matter anymore. He'll just focus on this joke, until further things are brought forward. But where was his sword anyway? Someone was going to pay. Itsu. And then he concluded Itsu must have brought him into this illusion, for some or other reason.
[spoiler=Real Bio:]A being who had long appeared in the ROT Cycle, he had witnessed the events of the Earthbound and Skybound, and of the Arcadia Movement. His life was as follows: Protheus was once a servant of nameless Pharaoh who lived in Egypt. Protheus's hatred of not being treated well caused him to have enough room for the Black Dragon. Protheus then attacked the King but was stopped. The monster at first was trapped inside a tablet but then the monster became the Darkness Dragon and broke free of the tablet. Protheus then made his escape. In time, the Darkness Dragon became the Darkness Metal Dragon and was too strong. One time, when Protheus was sleeping far away, he got killed by the Pharaoh's scouts in his sleep. He was first revived by the Dark One, who saw potential, but when The Dark One was destroyed, Protheus lost his second life, before he could do a thing about it. Around 300 years later, the presence of the fight between the 5 Dragons and the Earthbounds caused Protheus to accidentally revive again. But this life was very short lived for when the Earthbounds were defeated, Protheus lost yet another life. Very shortly afterward, an Earthbound found Protheus's trapped soul (He was revived too many times, so his soul was trapped) and revived him. He had served his master for a very long, traveling through different dimensions and destroying them. After over 6000 years, his plans almost came to fruition, before tragedy struck him. His master was struck and overwhelmed during the 'Reign of Paradox', and disappeared. After Paradox was accidentally killed in the most brutal way possible, for the rest of eternity, Protheus was unsure of what to do. Soon, his soul was ripped into a million pieces and sent across the multiverse, where most of them gained hosts. The pieces were slowly gathered, and he was whole again, with an extra thousand years added into his life from all the memories of his hosts. So he returned back to his old dimension. But to his utter shock, everything was suddenly changed . This was not how he remembered it. Itsu herself, they met during the 'Reign of Paradox', almost destroyed him while as a servant of Paradox, something he still hasn't forgiven, despite she being herself again. Soon, after a meeting with once-allies, he attacked himself from the past, and after managing to drive away a trap, the Chaos Beast Dracowerepyre, he absorbed his past self and gained his new-found power. He then went to attack what were once his allies, but suddenly he was sent elsewhere, and had a meeting with ZONE. He refused ZONE's offer, and then went in meditation, before sensing something horrible. He went out of meditation and decided something had to be done. But just then, a flash of light.....[/spoiler]

[b]Personality:[/b] Though originally being someone with a high sense of justice, and still having that sense, it's been warped into something else ever since Protheus [s]dropped him into the Void and didn't care to save him[/s] changed a year after their parents died. He believes that everyone is an impostor, even if he doesn't know them, and that the truth is within only one of them. To that end, he doesn't always know who to trust, and within a secret slot within his Duel Disk under the spell and trap zone is a sword. If his paranoia continues without learning the truth, he would lose his grip on reality completely.

[b]Fake Bio:[/b] Minerva was an ordinary person living in Antartica along with his older brother, Protheus, and his parents. Everything was normal until they moved. Their parents died of a rare disease, and his brother a year later suddenly had knowledge on things he had never even heard about. His brother then taught Minerva how to play Duel Monsters, a game which Protheus had never cared about before, and to Minerva's shock, pulled a deck from Minerva's own pocket despite never being put there. Protheus then proceeded to tell him of special abnormal powers he had, and then soon Minerva had no more clue on what to think. His mind was confused, very confused, and soon began slowly, ever so slowly departing from reality.
[b]Real Bio:[/b] Once the son of the immortal being Protheus Maximus and current chaos lord Athena Clearstream, Minerva was killed during a plane crash. Protheus then decided to revive his son, and so he called forth his son's Heart, Soul, and Mind and created a Body for them. But the result had no personality or appearance, even though it knew how to talk and do things. Protheus knew he needed a personality and an appearance, and they would only be gained by interaction, and thus he sent the being to a different dimension, one which he didn't know, or care. The being, then called Anon (Short for Anonymous), then began building up a personality and an appearance for two years in the place, and he finally obtained a personality. But then Anon realized he could only gain appearance through dueling, and thus so. After two years, he allied himself with the Sanctrum, people who actively hunted down all negative energy related threats to the Lifestream. And Anon earned his appearance during the battle, when Protheus came during the climax of the battle in the dimension, and made him aware of his past. Then Anon earned the name Minerva, where Protheus then left him to his dimension again, before Protheus came again to take him elsewhere, before accidentally dropping him halfway, but not before he witnessed Protheus sigh and just continue on, ignoring Minerva, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth as he fell into the abyss.

Personality: A bit ditzy and clumsy, Itsu has a good heart, and knows what's right and wrong. She can be funny, but she also has a serious side. She takes great pride in her cards, and would never let anything happen to them.

Fake Bio: Out of everyone attending Duel Academy D, Itsu has the biggest memory gaps. She has terrible issues with memory loss, and can't even remember anything from before she started going to Duel Academy D a few years ago. Since this is the only life she has known, she is content with it. But something is wrong nowadays. There are reports of someone tearing up the town looking for a person who matches Itsu's description. And he is destroying everything in his path to get to her.

Appearance: Desna has somehow doubled in age. He's now almost 7 feet tall as opposed to his 6'2" stature beforehand. He has his signature trenchcoat, only it is now pitch-black. Underneath is a black and red pinstripe suit. He has fancy black gloves and shoes on, but on top of his long, spiky mane of pale-blonde hair is a pair of sunglasses reminiscent of Kamina from Gurren Lagann. He also has a beard, and his tired, red eyes have bags under them.
Personality: Desna is single-mindedly fixed on the destruction of Paradox. He seems to have an intense hatred for her, and he will stop at nothing to kill his mortal enemy. He also seems depressed for some reason.

Real Bio: Desna is some sort of destructive force that only appears at night to fight Paradox. It is currently unknown what his story is, or why he is not in the records of this universe, but their fighting wreaks massive damage to the city that is always repaired at sunrise save for the occasional "glitch".

His usual outfit is a tweed jacket with a tie and khaki pants. He also has an alternate outfit that looks more like a military uniform.

Fake Bio: Trixie remembers growing up with Itsu and being her childhood friend. They have stuck together for years, and Trixie would easily take a bullet for Itsu, but Trixie dislikes Jenny, the new girl.
Real Bio: Trixie was one of Itsu's closest advisors in the war, until the event that changed everything occurred.

Real Bio: Vicky is one version of Damian's sister, and Itsu's sister-in-law. This version is from alternate future long-since destroyed. She received the same cybernetic upgrades Itsu and Trixie did, along with Dark Signer abilities.

Real Bio: Tori is one version of Damian's sister, and Itsu's sister-in-law. This version is the original, conceived when Carly turned into a Dark Signer again. Her Dark Signer abilities recently awakened, turning her cold and distant.

Name: Ruby Krigare (Real name: Ruby Anderson-Yuki)

Gender: Female
Appearance: Ruby bears an uncanny resemblance to her grandmother Blair, though she also inherited Jesse Anderson's unique blue hair, save for a few streaks of green from the Grimley side of her family, and Jaden's auburn eyes. She wears the standard New Domino Duel Academy uniform, though with some minor cosmetic changes, making it appear similar to the original Central Academy Slifer Red uniform worn by two of her grandparents, though the frilled sleeves are more reminiscent of the North Academy uniform her grandfather wore.
Personality: Ruby strongly inherited her grandfathers' work ethic, or lack thereof, as well as the strong loyalty that seemed to be synonymous with Grandpa Jaden and Grandpa Jesse's personalities. She's much more relaxed than they were, however.

Fake Bio: Ruby is the slightly older sister of Rayos and Rahl, though she keeps this secret hidden from almost everyone that knows her because of Rayos' obvious sadism, insisting that their last names are only the same because they're very distantly related, and that's all. After she 'fell' down the stairs and broke her arm in five places, an act that Rayos never saw despite being within arms reach, she moved out and begged DJ, a young teacher that she had befriended, to let her stay at his place for 'a few nights' until she was ready to go back home.
Real Bio: The granddaughter of Jaden Yuki, Blair Flannigan, Jesse Anderson, and Layla Grimley. During the Paradox Incident, she was taken out of her timeline by Paradox as a teenager, intending to use her partially unique nature as a human/Spirit hybrid to grow her into his heir. However, he was defeated before his plans could be put into action, and, because Paradox rendered her as a timeline orphan, she was originally planned to remain behind and become a member of C3. However, having inherited her grandparents' mischievous streaks, she instead hopped a ride with Rayos when he was sent back to Itsu's timeline and has been living with him ever since, under the guise of his sister. After Rayos was corrupted by Yliaster, his first act was to throw her into Emerald Turtle and break her arm in five places.

Name: Rayos Krigare
Age: 18, looks 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Rayos has light brown hair and usually wears beat up, loose fitting denim jeans and a short sleeved t-shirt under a long black jacket inherited from his recently deceased mentor. His right arm is flesh and blood from his shoulder to his elbow, where it turns into his infamous Duel Gauntlet. Besides the glove, the first thing strangers notice about him are his eyes, which are bright orange normally, a result of the same temporal glitch that kicked him out of his home universe, and change to match the Attribute symbols, kanji and all, when he's overcome by a strong emotion.
Personality: Rayos has transitioned from his former carefree persona to being a sadistic monster that takes visible joy in others' pain.
Position: Student
Faction: Protheus
Fake Bio: Rayos and his twin brother were both born with two rare birth defects. First, and most noticeably, they both lack a right arm, having had a mechanical prosthesis attached early in life and having switched out to bigger models as they aged. The second, and less noticeable but more shocking one was their eyes. Rayos was born with bright orange eyes, while Rahl's are a dark violet. Rayos is the more sadistic twin, taking joy in the suffering that he causes in those around him, and causing others pain for no apparent reason. Not long before her seventeenth birthday, Rayos, for absolutely no other reason than to make her suffer, shoved his older sister down the stairs, causing her to break her arm in five places.
Real Bio: After witnessing Master Shinigami, as he called Kalin, sacrifice himself so that Rayos could escape from Bryce, one of Paradox's strongest henchmen, he witnessed the climactic Duel for the fate of all of eternity. However, just as he was getting sent back to his home universe, and the only two people he considered to be family, the machine detected a temporal glitch preventing him from returning. He eventually volunteered to be sent to Itsu's home dimension instead, hoping that, since she was her universe's version of AKI, she could help him recreate her, just as he remembered. However, after losing a tag team Duel against an Emperor and Empress of Yliaster, his soul fell to the darkness and he willingly pledged his life to serve Yliaster.

Appearance: Rahl has black hair and usually wears beat up, loose fitting denim jeans and a short sleeved t-shirt. His right arm is flesh and blood from his shoulder to his elbow, where it turns into a copy of his brother's infamous Duel Gauntlet. Besides the glove, the first thing strangers notice about him are his eyes, which are dark violet normally, and change to match the Attribute symbols, kanji and all, when he's overcome by a strong emotion.
Personality: Rahl is cold and calculating, though not as sadistic or ruthless as his brother. While he's not above killing people if needed, he lets them die quickly and spares them the agony that Rayos is so fond of inflicting on every living thing, including his own cards.

Fake Bio: Rahl and his twin brother were both born with two rare birth defects. First, and most noticeably, they both lack a right arm, having had a mechanical prosthesis attached early in life and having switched out to bigger models as they aged. The second, and less noticeable but more shocking one was their eyes. Rayos was born with bright orange eyes, while Rahl's are a dark violet. Rahl is the more laid back twin. He's still well known as a royal prick, and almost universally hated, but he never causes people harm just for the sake of hurting them.
Real Bio: Rahl was created after a sample of Rayos' blood was scanned into the Yliaster mainframe. The blood sample took over the machines and immediately fashioned a new, synthetic flesh and blood body. (I know it's short but LITERALLY all he's done is be created)

His Father inherited Kaiba corp and used DJ's and his mechanical skills for the company's gain. After his father died DJ Inherited Kaibacorp and decided to also teach at the academy D. He teaches Machine based stadegies and his own deck focuses on Machines and Crystal beasts.
Real Bio: Born in Neo Domino to Thomas and Cathi Kaiba. He had mechanical skills way past his age. At age 2 his parents were killed and he inherited KaibaCorp but until he was 11 he had no control over it. He ruled Kaiba-Corp until he found out he was a sky signer and had skybound immortal after the events of RotEI and RotAM he was 22 and was last seen in RotME in Ameratasu with Itsu and Ana Lucia. He has developed a crush on Ruby.

Appearance: Lance has green eyes and blue hair, he has spiky hair that is tied back into a pony tail and a feminine face. He wears a green version of the normal Duel Academy uniform that is slightly messy.
Personality: Lance is calm, cool, and collected, not to mention extremely lazy spending most of his time taking naps. Lance tends to duel very casually as he prefers to collect bugs and nap, though when hes up against a strong duelist his true skill shines.

Fake Bio: Lance was born in a small town in the mountains were he was the only child, the rest of the residence were old men and women. He lived there peacefully and he slowly collected his deck as he enjoyed his life and collected the many bugs that lived in his mountain home. Eventually the residence worried about him having no one around his age and decided to have him take a test to enter the academy and he easily passed and eventually headed to the academy.
Real Bio: Lance was born in a small town in the mountains were he was the only child, the rest of the residence were old men and women. He lived there peacefully and he slowly collected his deck as he enjoyed his life and collected the many bugs that lived in his mountain home. Eventually the war that had claimed both his parents and the rest of the youths from his town reached his home town and the old residence did everything they could to get him out of there, afterwords he found himself alone with only his deck and memories as he began to wonder and what happened after nobody knows.

Appearance: Haseo has dark gold eyes and spiky blue green hair like Jesse that has a long thin pony tail at the bottom, he wears a blue version of the schools uniform. He uses a mechanical version of the Supreme King's Duel Disk though its Blue and green.
Personality: Haseo is a nice guy that enjoys dueling and really any kind of game, though sometimes he gets dizzy and passes out. Haseo also likes pretty girls and will sometimes get in trouble because he tends to interfere when girls are in trouble, Haseo has low blood pressure so sometimes especially in the morning he will show a dark side, normally from lack of sleep because he was up all night playing a video game.

Fake Bio: Haseo lived his life with his sister and friends in Tops in New Domino City. His parents were always gone as a child and he had to take care of his sister, though most of the time she was the one taking care of him. Eventually his parents returned home and his sister stayed with them, but he decided to go to the academy to try and become a better duelist than his father who is a world class duelist, unknown to him his mom is actually better than his dad. He doesn't want to be held back by his family so he lives in the dorms, (in case you didn't notice he's an alternate Rua/Leo).
Real Bio: Haseo comes from a dark world ruled by the Supreme Queen a female Jaden, and Yubel-Johan, he lived with them and his sister. He lived his life as the prince of evil, a very Disgaea like world with that kinda comedic sense of evil. After finally beating his father in a duel he was told that he needed to find true strength and so he decided to go travel world looking for a copy of the Rainbow Dragon card, because with it he could finally summon his ultimate Rainbow Anima Dragon, he decided to change his name to Haseo because most of the worlds he went to already had a Leo. Before he could find the card he was looking for he was defeated in a shadow duel and sent to the shadow realm then ???

Personality: David is quiet and tactful, but can be very confrontational when irritated by someone being disrespectful to anyone. He is prideful, but avoids being arrogant and wants to be viewed as a respectful person, no matter what.

Fake Bio: David was orphaned at a young age when his parents died in a car accident, and the people who cared for him emphasized respect for peers and elders alike. He had very few close friends, but a number of friendly acquaintances that he could rely on. It was through these people that he learned how to duel, and how he found out he could enroll in the academy. He has been hoping to prove his worth without sacrificing his morals.
Real Bio: David's parents were leaders of a cult that worshipped the creatures of a different card game, and David was designated to be the next in line if anything should happen to them. However, David was removed from their care before they could teach him all the details of the cult's practices, and he picked up Duel Monsters instead. Whatever memories he has, he dismisses as dreams, for the content of those memories are no longer logical in the world he has come to know.

He usually acts before he thinks, but since his acts are usually so aggressive he rarely had to put a thought into it before he did it.

However, he acts as if he is the uncle of the Thorn twins, as this is what Axel and Fredric believes him to be. He holds the card Brahma of Creation and is believed to be the strongest of the trio, but he has never been seen dueling. He teaches Card Strategy at the Duel Academy D.

One of them being that it doubles as a computer. Yazorki entered this Duel Academy for multiple reasons. One of them being that he has been alone all his life and would like some friends. [spoiler=Real Bio]Taiteki is a 500 year-old Aztec who was a junior priest at the temple at the time when the conquistadors invaded. Realising that the invaders would convert the Aztecs and in doing so destroy their gods who required sacrifices to survive, he sealed the gods away in three cards and attempted to flee. His father, the Chief Priest, saw that Taiteki had been corrupted by evil and attempted to stop him in a duel on the top of the temple. He summoned Quetzalcoatl, the sun deity and almost defeated Taiteki. But then Taiteki summoned the three spirits he had bound away and obliterated his father. However, when Taiteki tried to take Quetzalcoatl he attacked him and scarred his face, before disappearing. Furious, he then used the power of the deities to escape from the Spaniards, and fled to a distant land, vowing to one day collect the fourth Ancient Deity and become ruler of the world. In order to stop powerful duelists banding together to stop him, Taiteki has taken a position as teacher at DA, and plans to destroy the young generation of duelists before they can become a threat to his plans. But when he arrives, he sees that something strange and sinister is already going on, and decides to wait and see what happens.[/spoiler]

Personality: Sometimes seems cold and reclusive. However, he is a loyal firend and has an enigmatic character, leaping into adventure with enthusiasm.

Fake Bio: A successful duelist who has travelled the world searching for rare cards in the Arctic and Antarctic regions, he has come here to try out his abilities on the surprisingly good duelists in the Academy. His aim is to make friends and become a more powerful duelist during his time at the academy. His only deck contains the rare 'Icicle Beast' cards, which he shares a special bond with.
Real Bio: This is not the first duel academy that Daijiro has attended. In his last academy, among other things he freed his mentor Koga from the shadow realm, defeated his evil cousin Akuma, before travelling to the Sahdow Realm to destroy the dark spirit that had possessed her once and for all. After the duel, he was given the 'Icicle Zombie' and 'Icicle Demon' cards for safekeeping, as he was the only one strong enough to wield them. But little did he know that inside the decks a fragment of the dark spirit still resided, a fragment which has been growing ever since. He has come to the academy in pursuit of another Shadow Duelist, the ancient Aztec Taiteki, after hearing that he had defeated several people in Mexico and taken their souls to fuel his gods. However, Taiteki is capable of disguising himself effectively, and could easily escape if he knew that Daijiro was following him, so Daijiro has decided to lie low and investigate the strange goings-on for a while.

Fake Bio: Dez was born in New domino city. His parents were very wealthy and bought him all the cards he wanted. When he was little his life was enjoyable and it seemed it was perfect. He soon started to attend the duel academy in New Domino City. He made many friends and his life seemed great. Though he has gaps in his memory or feels as though some things didn't occur un the correct way, he ignores it. Sometimes horrid memories that he knows never occur flash into his memory and he would stay in his dorm crying for hours. Perhaps something to do with his past.
Real Bio: Dez has been around since the begining of time. His true Identity is the Dark Creator. During a particular incident over 10000 years ago he lost his memory and didn't wake up for several years. He had reverted into a human form. His memories to him, never happened though they did. When his supposive parents found him they tried to have him killed so they could get his life insurance money since they had hit hard economic times. His rage filled up and he became very aggressive. He murdered his parents, then one day he awoke in duel acamdemy having no recollection of any of the events. He has memory flashes of his past as the Dark Creator.

Personality: Eria is... very polite. She speaks very articulately and is quick to apologize if a signal goes up that she might have wronged someone. She isn't a doormat however, and while she will apologize for doing something she has her mind set on, she will not waver. Eria, however, can have the strangest imagination sometimes.

Fake Bio: Eria's parents never really cared for her, or so she thinks. All she really remembered was that her parents were really only excited whenever she participated in duels. Thus, her childhood was pretty dull until she got her hands on the deck she uses to this day, containing monsters called spellweavers. With deck in hand, she was sent off to the Duel Academy D. And with her parents out of her hair, Eria felt what it was like to truly be free... or so she thinks.
Real Bio: Eria is a being of magic. Really. If she contains no magic, she dies. Fortunately, by just dueling with her deck, she collects magic, and thus increases her survivability that much more. Of course, she gains more if she wins, and when she participates in important duels. Besides an accelerated healing factor, she cannot use her magical power herself until she learns some spells that use it. Unknown to her, she was created in pretty much her current state; she had no actual past. Her purpose: to secretly collect enough magic to cast a devastating spell that would be greatly advantageous to the Protheus faction.
Deck Type: Spellweavers. Focuses on collecting many mana counters to fuel powerful abilities. Slow starting, but tough to stop if enough momentum is gained.

Personality: Shihiro comes off as being a strong, serious individual. He hates it when people pester him and joke around too much. While on the other hand he welcomes company and enjoys having a good conversation once in a while.
Fake Bio: Shihiro grew up in a small town outside of Tokyo with loving parents. He had been a duelist for as long as he could remember and came to Duel Academy D to try to become the best… however… this didn’t feel right with him… “When did I start playing Duel Monsters…? Where did I get these cards?” He’d ask himself. He became determined to find the answers.
Real Bio: Shihiro was the son of a powerful emperor and benevolent empress who ruled over an alternate Japan where feudal architecture and old customs combined with highly advanced technology. He loved his mother and admired his father. He lived a wonderful life of royalty until on the day he’d come of age and become a warrior. On that day, an army of unknown origins invaded his land. Shihiro had trained to be a strong warrior and fought for his father and mother. With his strength and leadership, he successfully held off the invading army for almost a year. One fateful night, the invaders did the unthinkable; they triggered Mt. Fuji and amplified its power creating a super eruption. The invaders appeared to have vanished immediately after leaving Shihiro’s kingdom to be wiped out. He then mysteriously appeared in another world with altered memories.

He enjoys a good game just like any other person would, however because of this he sometimes acts a bit immature at some moments when things are more serious by nature.

Fake Bio: Ryu comes from a nice family at a school back home. He is rather lazy when it comes to work, but loves to go around and play any sorts of games and fun experiences. He works on becoming a great duelist in the future because it's just fun. He wants show his family how wonderful of a duelist he is becoming.
Real Bio: Ryu is really an orphan whose parents and origins are a complete mystery. He was adopted by a man living on the mainland and lived in the slums for quite sometime. His adopted father died from a fatal illness and left Ryu to fend for himself, he went to school learning and working for a living on his own. He learned on his own how to fight on the streets and was very interested in participating in scuffles. His interest caused him to learn martial arts and some others technique, he really wanted to become a someone who worked with animals and a professional duelist when he got older, which explains his deck.

Fake Bio: A nice girl coming from a long line of royalty, her family heralds from France having a long running history of wealth and fortune. To this day her family has become millionaires running a large corporation. Her deck is rather odd as she likes how the fiend type monsters she uses, she thinks they are cute and are just as nice as a simple rabbit. A rather odd opinion but a taste she very much enjoys. She has some to the academy to learn how to participate in dueling as a hobby for credentials in life. She wishes to understand people around her and learn how people outside of her own home and lifestyle live. She may not understand how people act at times, but she accepts it is a learning experience.
Real Bio: Her family is not what she thinks it is, while her family heralds from France she is really part of a family that got rich in the past from theft and extortion. A family whose wealth was built from the tears and hard work of others, because of this her family has a rather cruel nature at times and retains these types of life styles, her real personality is one of a sinister one who abuses other by learning how they work and exploiting it.

Personality: Lance is calm, cool, and collected, not to mention extremely lazy spending most of his time taking naps. Lance tends to duel very casually as he prefers to collect bugs and nap, though when hes up against a strong duelist his true skill shines.

Fake Bio: Lance was born in a small town in the mountains were he was the only child, the rest of the residence were old men and women. He lived there peacefully and he slowly collected his deck as he enjoyed his life and collected the many bugs that lived in his mountain home. Eventually the residence worried about him having no one around his age and decided to have him take a test to enter the academy and he easily passed and eventually headed to the academy.
Real Bio: Lance was born in a small town in the mountains were he was the only child, the rest of the residence were old men and women. He lived there peacefully and he slowly collected his deck as he enjoyed his life and collected the many bugs that lived in his mountain home. Eventually the war that had claimed both his parents and the rest of the youths from his town reached his home town and the old residence did everything they could to get him out of there, afterwords he found himself alone with only his deck and memories as he began to wonder and what happened after nobody knows.

Appearance: He has long blond hair, and he wares a robe that is identical to that of Jack Atlas's except his is black. He is quite tall, with long, skinny legs. His arms seem powerful, but are really gentle.
Personality: He is very gentle and intelligent. He cares about others more than he himself. He tends to turn down some duels, because his most powerful card causes harm to both duelists. He loves collecting cards for some odd reason...
Position: N/A
Faction: Neutral. He does not know of the opposing forces.
Fake Bio: He is a humble resident of Kugena City. He wanders around, watching the duels of others. He goes to the card shop to stock up on cards every once in a while, and always buys new cards with his seemingly un-ending supply of money.
Real Bio: He is the leader of a gang called the [color=gray]Desillectors[/color]. This gang forces people into duels, and take their cards. Their goal was to collect every card in existence so that they could become the most powerful duelists. This gang was created thousands of years ago and after all other members of the gang failed to achieve their goal, he himself came to the Real World to complete it. He also has built a deck just for this occasion. (He does not know any of this stuff)

Personality: Ruthless and cruel to most, although calculating. Ignores anyone unimportant. Has divine air. Also acts ridiculous at other times. And other stuff.

Fake Bio: He had found himself in some Duel Academy, with memories of a normal Arab family living in Antartica, blablabla, which he had easily identified as fake. Whose sick joke was this? But he played along, and it also seemed there was Itsu. He still had doubts, but that didn't matter anymore. He'll just focus on this joke, until further things are brought forward. But where was his sword anyway? Someone was going to pay. Itsu. And then he concluded Itsu must have brought him into this illusion, for some or other reason.
[spoiler=Real Bio:]
A being who had long appeared in the ROT Cycle, he had witnessed the events of the Earthbound and Skybound, and of the Arcadia Movement. His life was as follows: Protheus was once a servant of nameless Pharaoh who lived in Egypt. Protheus's hatred of not being treated well caused him to have enough room for the Black Dragon. Protheus then attacked the King but was stopped. The monster at first was trapped inside a tablet but then the monster became the Darkness Dragon and broke free of the tablet. Protheus then made his escape. In time, the Darkness Dragon became the Darkness Metal Dragon and was too strong. One time, when Protheus was sleeping far away, he got killed by the Pharaoh's scouts in his sleep. He was first revived by the Dark One, who saw potential, but when The Dark One was destroyed, Protheus lost his second life, before he could do a thing about it. Around 300 years later, the presence of the fight between the 5 Dragons and the Earthbounds caused Protheus to accidentally revive again. But this life was very short lived for when the Earthbounds were defeated, Protheus lost yet another life. Very shortly afterward, an Earthbound found Protheus's trapped soul (He was revived too many times, so his soul was trapped) and revived him. He had served his master for a very long, traveling through different dimensions and destroying them. After over 6000 years, his plans almost came to fruition, before tragedy struck him. His master was struck and overwhelmed during the 'Reign of Paradox', and disappeared. After Paradox was accidentally killed in the most brutal way possible, for the rest of eternity, Protheus was unsure of what to do. Soon, his soul was ripped into a million pieces and sent across the multiverse, where most of them gained hosts. The pieces were slowly gathered, and he was whole again, with an extra thousand years added into his life from all the memories of his hosts. So he returned back to his old dimension. But to his utter shock, everything was suddenly changed . This was not how he remembered it. Itsu herself, they met during the 'Reign of Paradox', almost destroyed him while as a servant of Paradox, something he still hasn't forgiven, despite she being herself again.
Soon, after a meeting with once-allies, he attacked himself from the past, and after managing to drive away a trap, the Chaos Beast Dracowerepyre, he absorbed his past self and gained his new-found power. He then went to attack what were once his allies, but suddenly he was sent elsewhere, and had a meeting with ZONE. He refused ZONE's offer, and then went in meditation, before sensing something horrible. He went out of meditation and decided something had to be done. But just then, a flash of light.....
