Liz was now blushing a little bit, but the fact that Matt thought she was cute actually made her a bit embarrassed. And usually when she gets embarrassed she starts to get a bit angry and starts pushing people away again, but Liz controlled herself this time. Instead she just smiled back. "Well thank you Matt." Liz cleared her throat right after saying that. "So uh, when is this party anyway?" Liz asked trying to change the subject now fearing she'll start pushing Matt away and that's the last thing she wants right now. To loose a nice friend.

Blushing harder then before Matt couldn't help but smile, he had actually made Elizabeth blush. "I'm not really sure to be honest, I met in to this girl at the store and she told me about this giant party she was holding. You know, your even cuter when your blushing.." For once Matt was actually happy that he was saying what came to mind, to him Elizabeth was a beautiful girl and he was lucky to have her as his neighbor, but at the same time he was worried about ruining everything that they had with a single stupid comment.

Walter pulled up a little way behind the other runners. He was about to offer to take the stuff in the trolley on his own runner, but the other girl had beaten him to it. As he moved his runner over to the side of the street, they apparently came to the decision to have a duel. He rolled his runner up to them, stopping at a point where he could see easily but wouldn't get in the way of either of the girls.
As he settled down to watch the opening of the duel, he also noticed that a couple of the boys from the duel before were also watching the duel. He was surprised that he would see three people he recognised despite never having seen any of them before today, but he shook it off and turned back to the duel.

Keegan watched the duel as Lauren started. He saw that she wasn’t using a CC monster’s deck, but rather a clown deck. [i]A clown control deck? Now this is something I have to watch! [/i] Keegan thought as he chuckled a bit to himself. [i]I haven’t seen a clown control deck very often, so it will be interesting to jog my memory on what this deck does, for later duels when I might face Lauren again [/i] Keegan thought as he continued to watch the duel in front of him.

OoC: By the way guys, it's a Ground Duel, not Turbo.

IC: "Alright then. That Gravity Bind is preventing me from doing pretty much anything right now." Laughed the girl as she placed 3 cards in her Spell and Trap Card Zone. "I'll set 3 cards and I end my turn." Scarlet moved her hand in a "you go" motion and started to think about what was going on. [i]"I'm supposed to do the locking down, not her. I need to pull a card that destroys Spell and Trap Cards fast, and I need to get rid of that Jester." [/i]The girl then sighed, and looked at her hand. [i]"If I don't draw anything good next turn, I'll definitely get rid of that Jester." [/i]

[i]I finally got this stupid thing done[/i] thought Jonathan as he finished the systems for the robot duelist. [i]Time to activate this thing.[/i] At that moment, Jonathan activated the robot duelist.

"I am robot duelist V3," said the robot as he drew 5 cards. "Are you ready to duel?"

Jonathan grabbed his Stun D.D. Deck and put it in his Duel Disk. Then he said, "Lets duel! I draw now!" Jonathan drew and found that he had drew Gorz the Emissary of Darkness. [i]Ah yea baby! He tries to do anything funny and I'll Special Summon Gorz and give him a taste of his own tactics.[/i] "I summon "D.D. Survivor" in face-up Attack Position." At that moment, a fallen warrior appeared on his side of the field. It wore a torn cloak on its body. "I put down a face-down and end my turn."

"I draw then," said the Robot Duelist. "I put a monster in face-down Defense Position." A card suddenly appeared on the field hiding the identity of the monster. "I then put 2 face-downs and end my turn."

Sprite saw a strange-looking robot in the distance, and activated his shoe-wheels. He skated swiftly to the duel between Jonathan and the robot but was confronted by a lion. He tried to scream but his voice was muffled by its trainer's mouth. Darn, he thought, as he was thrown to the floor. Sprite tried to pull his Duel Disk out of his backpack but his arm cracked. Now in absolute agony, he managed to yell. Doing so somehow not only got him up, but allowed him to duel. It turned out this person was a girl in a cloak.

"DUEL!" the two shouted.
"Ladies first." said the person in the cloak.
"Whatever" Sprite cheekily replied.

"I draw, then summon Regenerating Mummy in Attack Mode, followed by a face-down! I end my turn."

Hmm, Regenerating Mummy's effect is no longer in use, so I can declare an attack, Sprite thought. I assume that face-down's a dummy so I'll leave it there.
"My draw! And what a sweet one! I play Polymerization! This card lets me fuse two monsters, and I choose my Elemental Hero Sparkman, Avian, and Bubbleman, to summon Elemental Hero Tempest! ATTACK!"
The Mystery Girl screamed as her Life Points went down to 7000.
"That'll do for now." Sprite said.

Desmond longed since returned to his room after leaving Jayson and Mion's duel. When he got home, he took a quick shower and got ready for the party. It didn't take long and when he was ready, he decided to lay down for a little while. After all, the party was at 7:00, and it was hardly past 5.

Desmond woke up and saw his clock and saw that it was 6:25. He yawned and wiped the crust from his eyes. He looked out at the beach and saw the water glowed and the sand sparkled from the light of the sun. He found his duel disk with his deck in it and placed it on his arm again. He didn't find a duel earlier, but maybe his luck will change. He at least wanted to do one before the party started. Desmond left his house and started to walk around, seeing what events will play out for the rest of the day.

OoC: As soon as me and Ice/Scarlet finish the duel it's party time :3

"Now! Since it's your End Phase, I Jester Confit, as well as 1 of your monsters of my choice are returned to your hand," said Lauren, pointing at Spiderfang, "And I choose Naturia Spiderfang." Lauren giggled silently as she watched the plump clown wave at Scarlet and leap off it's ball, vanishing from the field followed by the spider. "Now...I draw!" declared Lauren, pulling the top card of her deck. Glancing at it she frowned, "It's a Trap Card now I have to add it back to my deck," she mumbled, placing the card on the top of the deck, letting the duel disk shuffle it. "Now, again I Special Summon Jester Confit in attack mode!" she said, placing the card in it's card zone. Again the plump clown appeared, bouncing on it's ball. "Next I release Jester Confit to Summon, Caius the Shadow Monarch!" Lauren, slapped the card down. A dark haze engulfed Lauren's field, and from within the haze, a figure stepped out. "Now, I activate Caius' special ability, which allows me to remove 1 card on the field from play, and i choose, Cosmobeet!"

[Ice.]

"Not so fast! I chain Caius' summoning with Solemn Judgement!" Announced the girl as a face-down card flipped up. It showed a picture of a man pointing his finger. "With Solemn Judgement's effect, I pay half of my Life Points to destroy a card when it's activated or when a Monster is summoned. So your Caius is gone! For the price of 4000 Life Points, at least." Just then electricity surrounded the Monarch as it was summoned. At that exact time, Scarlet's Life Points dropped from 8000 all the way to 4000. "It was worth it, because now I can still keep my Cosmobeet." The small orb smiled greatly as it's name was spoken. [i]"That was a close one."[/i]

Lauren's jaw dropped, but she promptly closed her mouth. "Nice save!" she said cheerfully. [i]Damn! This wont be easy. I need 2 more cards and I've got this. Come on![/i] "Theres not much else I can do with Caius gone. So I'll end my turn for now." Lauren ran her fingers through her hair then shaking her head to get a few strands of hair out of her face. [i]I can win if I just get all 3 and summon either of my star monsters[/i] Lauren thought, her hand on top of her deck, ready for her next draw.

[Ice.]

"Okay, my turn. I draw!" The girl then picked up the top card of her deck. "Not a Trap...again..." The girl added the card to her hand and looked over it. [i]"I was pretty lucky. 2 Turns in a row without drawing a Trap. Let's see. I have a lot of cards that I can use to stall for a while, so I'm good." [/i]The girl then nodded as she summoned a monster. "I summon Naturia Spiderfang...again!" The same cutesy spider appeared and tried it's best to stay awake again. "Now, Cosmobeet, attack the face-down monster!" Yelled the girl as the small orb rushed towards the face-down card, looking pretty angry.

As Keegan watched Caius disappeared, he couldn’t stop thinking about what Lauren could have done if here monster’s summon had not been negated, and she could have made her way to victory very quick, being able to get advantage. [i]Hopefully this duel ends soon, so the party can start [/i] Keegan thought in his head, waiting anxiously for the party to begin.

Keegan really enjoyed parties. He always liked to think they brought out the best in him, is true personality and enabled him to have a great time, even if he didn’t know half the people were there.

Lauren pressed a button on her duel disk and the card flipped face-up. The face-down monster was revealed as Stealth Bird. A large white/blue bird appeared just above the card, enveloped in it's wings. It's Defense was a solid 1700 and it's Attack was a dismal 700. "Well," started Lauren, "You dodged the effect damage but you still take 700 from difference!" She smiled apologetically at Scarlet, "Sorry girl but I could just leave my Life Points open could I?" [i]Thank goodness Gravity Bind is here. Now Spiderfang cant attack.[/i]

Desmond continued to walk around for a little while longer and still had no luck finding an opponent. He started to figure that he wouldn't have the opportunity to duel anyone here in Miami. He checked the time and saw that 7:00 was drawing ever so nearer and went back home. He put up his duel disk and was contemplating whether or not to bring his mystery deck.

[i]Well, it is a party. And who brings cards to a party. Then again, IF somebody wants to duel, he would be ready. Maybe.[/i] Desmond sighed and took out his deck and placed it in a deck box that contained his many Synchros and Fusions.. He pulled out one of his cards, a giant red and black dragon that had what looked like an exploding rock background and a jewel in the center of its chest. It was his most strongest card and precious card. He also had a way of summoning it in all of his decks. Desmond returned the card to his deck box and placed it on a holder of his side. He left the house and popped his MP3 Player in his ears.

He started walking to Laurens party while listening to OMG by Usher. It would be more correct to say that he was dancing to Lauren's house, doing spins and some flips off various seats and other side walk items. It was something about music that always made him want to move, make him want to come out his shell of shyness and just have fun. Not caring how many stares he got as he did so. Desmond hopped up on a rail and started walking on it, placing all his focus on trying to balance himself. He was doing good until he caught a duel going on, and saw that it was Lauren who was doing so. She was dueling somebody who had a field of Naturia monsters, while she had some stealth looking bird in play. He also noticed a small crowd had gathered, and Desmond fell off the rail but was able to land on his two hands and somewhat break his fall.

[i]Who said dancing was good for nothing.[/i] He got up and continued to watch the duel, curious to see if Lauren is as good as she, or at least he thought she was.

Keegan finally decided that he wanted to leave. [i]I have been seeing so many duels today [/i] Keegan thought as he walked around the beach. [i]I should really just take it easy for a while, I want to have all my energy for the party tonight [/i] Keegan continued on in his head. Keegan enjoyed have conversations with himself inside his head. It seemed to make him think in a different way, try to get over certain fears or tasks.

As Keegan made his way back to his beach house, he noticed that the sun was setting in the distance. “Ah, the nice beautiful sunset,” Keegan said as he entered the door of his beach house.

Mion woke up to a blistering white light. She whimpered in pain and groped for her desk clock. The green display read 6:40.

[i]Where am I? What happened?[/i] she wondered feverishly, her body aching all over. Then, realization came crashing down upon her like a ton of bricks. She lifted her hand to her face and felt a deep cut there, wincing at the pain. [i]Maybe a little make-up will fix it...[/i] the green haired girl thought, dragging herself out of bed. She looked awful, and her whole body ached when she took a step. Her mind flashed back...

[i]"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"You're not... not y-yet..." her mother burped, raising the spoon again. It was splintering.

"No, please!"

A tear began to form in Mion's left eye and she blinked it away. She had to remain strong, and resolute. Besides, today wasn't such a bad day. She had made some new friends!

Mion stepped carefully down the stairs after trying to conceal her cut with some make-up. It was still noticeable, but Mion could just tell people it was her cat's fault or something. Wincing as she reached the bottom step, Mion looked sadly over at her mother, who was passed out on the sofa.

[i]It isn't her fault. The sake made her like this![/i]

Rejuvinating herself with that slim hope, Mion made her way into the kitchen, where she found a note with something scribbled on it: [i]Clean.[/i]

Sighing, Mion filled a bucket with soapy water and started to scrub the floor, littered with drips of sake and bread crumbs.

As Keegan entered his beach house, he walked into his kitchen, to look for a snack to eat before the party would begin. He took out a bag of chips and began to eat the as he went to his room to check up on his decks and such. He decided to make a new deck, but he was having trouble deciding what type of deck to make. [i]Man, why can deck building be so hard [/i] Keegan said as he searched through his cards.

Liz had a sudden pain in her stomach much like the headache she had earlier. Liz found it hard to focus for a bit, but it was most likely because she has yet to eat today. "Hey uh Matt, you wanna go get something to eat before the party, I could use some food" Liz suggested.

"Maybe we can find a diner or something, I'm sure there is one around here somewhere. I'm starving" Liz grabbed her other jacket this one being a light brown than her regular one that happen to be sitting on the couch next to her.

That had reminded him, having skipped out on food all together today Matt had been feeling quite hungry, even if he was ignoring it. "Well if you want to go out to eat I'm more then game, we can go anywhere you would like to go, my treat." He had simply been unable to believe the events of his first day in Miami, he had not only been invited to a party and had purchased a D-wheel but he was now getting the chance to take his cute neighbor out to dinner. "Would you like to walk or would you want to drive?"
