[♥] Summer Dueling {PG-16/Accepting In OOC Thread/Started}

Recommended Posts

Noah watched as his tiny white dog was forced to the graveyard. But instead of mourning his only chance of defeating the Visionary, he smiled as a card from his hand glowed. "I activate the effect of Green Baboon Guardian of the Forest!" From the Graveyard, a green version of Ryko appeared and bit Noah on the neck, draining his life points by one thousand, but the cost was worth it. The green energy exploded into a blast of light, after the light vanished a large armored green ape appeared on his side of the field, brandishing a large club and let out a large roar showing his power. "Baboon's effect activates when one of my Beast's are destroyed by a card effect, by paying 1000 points, I get to Special Summon him from my hand! And he's a pretty cool guy too, with 2600 attack to pummel your creatures!"

Hand: 2
Monsters: Hamster, Striker, Baboon.

"Before you go... I just want you to know that I wasn't trying to steal your D-wheel. I wouldn't do anything like that to a cute girl." With a quick wave and another session of blushing Matt had made his goodbye with Lauren, promising that he would stop by later. Walking into the store the man had made his way to the counter and asked for his package of supplies. While waiting for the associate to gather his things he had noticed that the store had a D-wheel on display in the corner.

The D-wheel was painted black and had small body details that were painted either cyan magenta or yellow. As for the body it had seemed to be built for speed and utility, the wheels seemed to be tricked out with sprockets for hydrolics and on the side seemed to be two rectanglar thrusters that could give a good boost of speed. The price tag however was the only problem, while he had enough for it the D-wheel was enough to cost Matt his entire card budget while he was down in Miami.

When the associate returned with his packet, Matt had taken out his credit card and placed it on the counter. "I'll also be taking that D-wheel, just charge it to debt." After a quick transaction and the loading of his supplies on to his new D-wheel Matt had quickly turned on his new ride, placing his duel disk into the system and sped off on to the street. "This thing... is amazing.."

OOC: since I didn't app with one I thought I would get one now :P.

Mion frowned slightly, glancing at Scarlet's expression. I know she's trying to hide it, but she looks so sad! she lamented inwardly. Squeezing Scarlet's hand, slightly, Mion hoped that the feeling was comforting and not awkward. As Scarlet pulled out one of her decks, Mion looked with interest at the varied cards that the redhead held. Wow, some of those cards are really rare! she thought, her eyes widening slightly. That was a new deck, and she could bet that Scarlet was a very capable Duelist. Smiling to herself, Mion had an idea.

Mion looked down at the redhead with a grin. "Maybe we could duel sometime, Scarlet-chan~" she murmured excitedly in the young girl's ear. "I want to see your Naturias in action!"

Hoping that would cheer the girl up, Mion looked out at the horizon. The sun was starting to sink.

If Jayson-kun doesn't make a move, then I might have to go home... she thought sadly.

Nukaka watched the duel and her eyes darted from duelist to duelist as they made their moves. "Wooow...you guys are pretty good at this nya!" She said with enthusiasm as she jumped around the holograms of the monsters. Not quite interrupting the duel in itself but making an adorable nuisance of herself nonetheless. She then turned her attention back to watching the duel so she sat down in the middle of the battlefield of holograms and watched the fight take place from a front row seat. "Ahh i'll worry bout where i am later nya."

Scarlet smirked at the girl. "She's obviously trying to make me feel better. She's pretty optimistic. Possibly one of the most optimistic people I've ever met." Scarlet nodded her head and laughed. "Sure, we can duel. I'll probably lose, but still, we can try." She then turned to the person that Mion was dueling. "He sure is taking his time. I really don't think there's anything he can do, though." She laughed, trying to convince the girl that her victory is pretty much guaranteed. "I haven't dueled in a while, so dueling Mion would be fun. That herald seems pretty powerful, though. I may not be able to win, unless I get to summon Extrio." Scarlet pulled out her favorite card and looked at it. "I hope I can duel her, at least."

Keegan felt really bored sitting on the bench, so he finally decided to stand up and walk over to the two girls who were talking by the duel. One of the people appeared to be the duellist who was using the Happy Herald deck. The duel didn’t seem to be progressing much. It seemed like a guy was really taking his time on his decision. Keegan decided to introduce himself to the two girls. “Hi!” Keegan said as he approached the two girls.

"Awesome, Scarlet-chan!" Mion exclaimed, her face brightening with pure happiness. She was so happy that so many people were able to duel her. Mion mused inwardly, then snapped her fingers.

"I have to go home in a bit, but we can definitely duel tomorrow!" the green-haired girl said excitedly. "Do you have a phone? Can I have your number? We could meet here and-"

Mion froze, blushing. Maybe she was being a bit forward. She was really hoping that she could duel Scarlet, though!!

"Yeah, tomorrow would be great, Scarlet-chan!~"

Scarlet mentioned Mion's chances of winning, and Mion laughed along with her, hoping Jayson didn't hear. She didn't want to offend anyone!

Without thinking, the green-haired girl hugged Scarlet. "Scarlet-chan is so nice!" she gushed. Then, realizing what she had done, Mion inevitably turned red, letting go quickly.

"S-sorry..." she mumbled. However, she quickly wheeled at a man's greeting. Where had all these nice people been during the school year?

"Hi, person!" she chirped. "What's your name?"

OoC: Just sayin', I am making my character as similar to me irl as possible.

IC:
Keegan waited as the girl finished talking to the other girl, and then she responded to his greeting. Keegan responded by saying: “my name is Keegan. My beach house is over there. I guess you are living out here on this beach as well?” Keegan asked curiously, as he needed something to ask. Keegan could sometime get nervous in front of people he didn’t know when he tried to talk to them, especially if they were girls.

John had been watching the duel between Ikana and Noah, not yet knowing their names. The Neko had bothered him when she popped up out of nowhere, but he just shook his head. "Furries will be furries.... especially Nekos, I suppose... Why they all love being Animals, I have no clue." A quick look at the duel made his thoughts continue. "And... a Moja fanatic. God, I hate that thing... Screws over my decks. On top of it all, a Gravekeeper's deck? Nice. I wish I'd brought my Gravekeeper's deck." He continued watching, hoping the duel would be over son enough. He wanted his own shot at the Gravekeeping duelist, who he was willing to win. He looked over to the other duel, but it did not draw his attention much.

Mion smiled. This person seemed like a nice guy, if not a little shy. She followed his finger to his beach house and gasped. "Your house is pretty, Keegan-kun!" she said, in total awe. It was not unlike Mion to be genuinely wowed so easily, as she became excited over the littlest things.

Deciding that the boy was nice enough, Mion giggled. "Hai, my name is Mion, but my friends call me Mi-chan!"

She winked at Keegan. "You can call me Mi-chan."

In answering his question, Mion's confidence faltered as she thought of her house, and her mother. Her expression flickering a little bit, Mion managed to keep smiling.

"Yep! Of course I live on the beach! My house is a little ways that way," she declared, pointing her finger towards the road.

Mion could often read people's expressions, so she decided to try and analyze Keegan's. Peering up into his eyes, Mion narrowed her green ones.

"Why are you so nervous, Keegan-kun?" she asked innocently.

“I don’t know. I just get nervous randomly at times,” Keegan responded to Mi-chan, apparently what her friends would call her. “I see you like my beach house. You can come check it out some time if you want to,” Keegan said to Mion as she mentioned on how she liked his beach house. “So, are you going to Lauren’s party at her beach house tonight?” Keegan asked Mion interested to see if she was going or not.

Liz was rather disappointed Matt left, she was now alone in her house. She always ends up pushing everyone away, and for once she thought she did good. Liz gave out a small sigh. "Well...it looks like it's just me again" Liz laid down on her couch which she found very comfortable. She closed her eyes and laid and thought about her mother. She only saw her once when she was really young, but she remembers it like it was yesterday. Liz opened her eyes again now. "I need to get out of this place, I came here for the summer to have fun" Liz jumped up form the couch. "And that's exactly what I'm gonna do!" Liz said with confidence.

OoC: Four lines, Leo? D:

Mion nodded knowingly at Keegan's response to her question. I get like that too, sometimes... she mused, flipping her green hair back. She quickly grew excited at the mention of going over to Keegan's beach house.

"Oh, I'd love to see it!" Mion laughed a little and gazed at Keegan. Why was everybody being so understanding? This was not at all like school, where people made fun of her because of her green hair, or forwardness. This was weird... almost as if Mion were somewhere other than Miami.

She sighed. Wherever I am, I love it! she exclaimed inwardly, her cheeks flushing a bit. At the mention of Lauren's party, however, Mion's eyes seemed to dim a bit. She turned to Keegan, nervousness etched into her face.

"Oh, Keegan-kun," she said softly, as if afraid Lauren would overhear. "I did something bad. I-I said that Lauren could pick me up for the party, and I don't think I can go!"

She turned her worried face back to the duel. Maybe Mother will let me have the night off? she thought, desperately hoping she could attend. Gloomily, she resigned herself to the fact that it wasn't happening.

Still, it didn't hurt to try...

Quickly dashing from street to street the newly owned D-wheel had brought Matt back to the beach in a matter of minutes. Pulling his D-wheel into his house and placing his supplies on his table Matt had gone to wash his face, in which he stopped doing such half way through when he remembered his neighbor Liz. //s*** I forgot that I ditched her earlier, shes probably not too happy with me.//

With package and hand he went over to Elizabeth's house and knocked on the door slowly, hoping to apologize for his leaving with a card that he found in his collection. //I know she likes zombies so hopefully she likes this..//

OoC: It is midnight where I am D: I will try to up the quality of my posting...

Keegan could see how Mion was nervous about the apparent mistake she had made. “Well, I think Lauren would understand. I mean, I would. Not everybody can be everywhere,” Keegan said hoping to cheer Mion up a little bit.

Well, she seems to be quite a nice person, one of the nicer I have met here on the beach so far Keegan thought in his head as he smiled.

“So, it seems like your duel opponent is taking a while to make his move,” Keegan said as he looked at the other duellist. “Who is he anyway?”

Elizabeth ran over to the door and quickly opened it. "Oh hey Matt, I was just thinking about you" Liz said with a smile. Liz was trying to be more friendly and open up for once. "Come in come in, you don't have to stand outside" Liz replied. Liz enjoyed being around Matt's presence it helped her open up earlier and she's hoping that it can possibly help her open up now. "So what bring you here today Matt? If everything okay? I mean uh, I don't know...what brings you here?" Liz said scrambling over her words.

OoC - I understand. xD

Mion looked to Keegan with her emerald eyes. "You really think she would understand, Keegan-kun?" she asked, pressing the tips of her fingers together nervously. She breathed a sigh of relief, her shoulders sagging. "Thanks for making me feel better about my mistake..." Turning to Keegan with a small smile, Mion winked again, her blush betraying her whole "cool" act.

At the mention of the other duelist, Mion's eyes lit up. "That's Jayson-kun," she whispered brightly, pointing to the boy with blue hair. "He's really good! If it weren't for my Herald, I would have lost~" She looked up admiringly at her glowing fairy, and seemed to relax under it's protection

"He is taking a while, though..." Mion mused softly, her radiant eyes fixed on Jayson.

Matt smiled apon Liz greeting him, it wasn't often that a girl would tell him that she was thinking about him. "Well I felt bad about leaving you earlier so I thought that I would come back over after I returned, I even brought you a small gift." Blushing slightly Matt had taken the package he brought with him and gave it to Elizabeth. "It's not much but I know you said you used zombies and I happened to find the only other zombie I own. It might not be much use to you but I hope you don't have a Necroface yet, or at least a orginal one that is." It might not of been much but he felt like he needed to give Elizabeth something for his earlier actions, so that he could at least feel less guilty.

"Oh well, thank you so much Matt. But uh....you didn't have to get me anything. Or go out of your way for me." Liz explained as she grabbed the card and examined it. "This, really means something to me Matt..." Liz didn't know how to explain, but having someone that thought of her was really surprising.

"But uh, you didn't do anything wrong. You had to leave and stuff and I wasn't feeling that good earlier anyways" Liz cleared her throat a little bit.

Matt smiled, he was blushing quite hard. He was happy that he had made Elizabeth happy with his gift and such, even if she didn't think that she needed a apology gift. "I was glad to silly, your the first person I met here and I wanted to give you something special." Just then a thought came to his mind, what if he invited Elizabeth to that party the girl at the store was talking about, maybe she would enjoy it. "Um.. Elizabeth.. I was told about this party later and... I wanted to know if you would go with me.. you know if you don't have anything better to do or anything.." Blushing even harder then before he had started to realize why he blushed so much around her, he started to believe that he had a crush on his neighbor.

"Party? Sure I'll go, I need to get out of this house anyway. All I do here is just lay around here and take rides on my Duel Runner all day." Liz said smiling. This party should help me get out and meet some new people..hopefully Liz thought. Liz found herself looking at Matt's face again.

"Uh Matt, you're blushing again" Liz replied with a small smile. "But uh thanks for the gift Matt, I could really use a nice friend right now. I don't usually get out very much" Liz explained.

"I'm blushing again huh? I sorta can't help myself when my neighbor is such a cutie." Still blushing and now being set in awe the man couldn't believe what he just said, he had once again blurted out his thoughts and was hoping that he wouldn't be laughed at for it. //Well she is cute.. maybe I'm lucky and thinks the same thing. She is going to the party with me later on after all and she does seem quite happy with me being along at the moment.// "Hey so um... would you still want to explore the beach with me? Maybe we could even play a game down by the beach, that is if you don't mind."

Jayson looked at Mion and nodded in dissapointment she hadn't known about his Magician's effect. "Sorry Mi-Chan, but your Manju's attack is no good you see my Magician's effect activated during your draw phase when you drew a card its ATK power raised by 500 so it now outbeats your Manju by 100 ATK. But it loses to your Herald of Perfection by 300." Jayson put his Magician in the Graveyard and sighed. 'Damn, if only I played him last turn he could beat that herald.' Jayson looked at the clock on his Duel Disk and it had said 5pm, they had been dueling for awhile and the party would begin in a few hours he had to get ready. "Sorry, Mi-Chan but I must leave to get ready for the party, I'm sure you'll have to get ready for it as well but bring your duel disk and we'll have another duel at the party. He turned off his Duel Disk and picked his cards off and put them in his deck. He turned back into the direction of his house and looked back at Mion as he was walking. "Hope to see you at the party Mi-Chan!" He smiled at her and started to run towards his house.

"...and with Drill Warrior's effect it's attack is halved, but it can now attack you directly," Walter explained, leading his opponent around another corner, "Drill Warrior, finish this." His monster, a human figure with a large drill in his hand, leaped at his opponent, ignoring the dragon the boy had out and thrusting his drill into the runner itself. The runner shut down, an 'X' appearing on the screen and smoke issuing from vents as it came to a stop. Walter's cards faded from the screen, and he cruised away, feeling that his opponent hadn't really been a challenge. It seemed to be getting later, and he was getting a little hungry, so he took another turn and headed back towards his beach house.

OoC: King, Silent Magician gets attack when your opponent draws OUTSIDE of their Draw Phase.

So, you lost.

IC: "What's all of this about a party?" Asked Scarlet, clearly feeling that she's been missing out on something. She then turned to the boy that just approached them. "Well he's...tall..." Thought the girl, clearly stunned by his height. "Hi. My name's Scarlet." The girl then started to laugh, clearly seeing that the boy was nervous. "Well, anyways..." she turned to Mion, "...your mom would probably understand. Just tell her that you met some friends and you want to go somewhere with them. I mean, it usually works for me."
