[♥] Summer Dueling {PG-16/Accepting In OOC Thread/Started}

Recommended Posts

Keegan stood up from his bench, walking across the beach, to see two duellists. Both were engaged in a duel, which saw one person using a card called Herald of Perfection. Keegan remembered that card from a while ago. This card always gave him a lot of problems because it screwed up his ability to get out his Malefic Stardust Dragon. Keegan noticed that the duellist with Herald of Perfection, a girl, seemed to be losing hand advantage, and fast. This is exactly what can happen when using Happy Herald, but usually, they can get that advantage back quite fast Keegan thought as he continued to watch the duel with growing interest.

Lauren stepped back, observing the duel. The young woman had skillfully summoned Herald of Perfection during the first turn of the duel. That's not an easy move to make! Awesomeshe thought, before turning to the man who had approached her. "Um...Well sure. Yea, I guess so. Sure Desmond you can come," she said, smiling slightly. Suddenly her heart skipped a beat. It took her a moment to think of why, but soon she realized what it was that shocked her. Oh damn! I still gotta get to the store to pick up some food! she thought wildly. "Sorry Desmond but I just remembered I need to go get some food for tonight. I'll catch ya later!" she called, running back up to her Duel Runner.

Reaching it, Lauren stopped and turned around to face the duel. Putting her hands up to her mouth, she called out to Mion. "Mion! Hey! You want to come to a party later on tonight? I can give you a ride if you need one!"

As Elizabeth returned, Matt had nothing but a smile on his face as he noticed her change. "Alrighty, no problem here." Noticing that she had changed into a black tanktop had caused the man to blush once again. Even though he was a easy blush Matt was also a bit of a pervert and like most he had his little give aways when it came to checking out a girl. "So Liz.. if you don't mind me asking, what type of deck do you use? I tend to use decks based off the current meta and such, I'm actually a bit known in my state of Massachuttes but besides that...."

Another small tendency that he had since his childhood was his inability to know when to shut up, the problem had usually caused Matt to make enemies over friends but the man had learned to live with it.

While Jayson was waiting for Mion he noticed Lauren was about to leave he took this time now to ask what he never got a reply from. "Hey Lauren, did you ignore me or something? You still haven't answered my question I asked you before, I'll repeat it. Can you tell me what color your beach house is? Sorry but I forgot about it when you told me earlier you were in a rush like you are now." Jayson believed he had just asked her in time hopefully Lauren had noticed him this time and will give him an answer he is looking for.

Lauren pivoted her head to look at Jayson. "Sorry I must not have heard, it's a blue green color. Not far from here just a few minutes down that way," she called to him, pointing in the direction she had essentially come from. "Just go to the front door and knock. Don't use the back door," she said nodding at Jayson, sliding onto her Duel Runner reactivating it. She turned back to Mion, still waiting for her answer. She seems so nervous and timid, maybe coming to my party will loosen her up a little bit. she thought, smiling slightly.

Jayson looked at Lauren and nodded his head and smiled as he began to speak "Ah, thanks for clearing things up for me Lauren! It should be a fun night tonight. Hopefully you could come around to Mi-chan but first we have to finish this duel of ours and I believe its now your turn." Jayson smiled and stretched out for a few minutes he was waiting as patiently as he could for Mion to announce her move. He was also embracing for what could be a huge direct attack coming up as soon as she announced it.

After watching the duel for a while, Keegan decided to leave the beach and walk over to his house. Once he entered his dark blue beach house, he noticed that a package had arrived for him in the mail Ah, the stuff I forgot at my house Keegan thought as he opened his package. He saw his issues of Shonen Jump, boxes of cards and some extra clothes. Now, I have to get ready for that party Keegan thought as he took the box to his room.

Mion smiled brightly at a mention of a party. Someone as pretty as Luaren was inviting her to a party? She was the happiest she had been in a long while, and without thinking, she cupped her hands around her mouth, shouting after the D-Wheeler.

"Count me in, Lauren-chan!" she yelled gleefully, her entire face glowing with happiness. Turning back to the duel, she took stock of her hand. All she had was her two Spells and Traps. Gulping nervously, she shakily slid a card out from under the slot. Her eyes lit up with relief, and Mion cracked another wide smile.

"Ready, Jayson-kun?" she giggled. "First, I'll Set two cards. Then, I activate "Dark Factory of Mass Production"!~"

A crane appeared out of nowhere, lifting two monsters from Mion's Graveyard into the air, dropping them comically into her hand.

"That card let me add two Normal monsters from my Graveyard back to my hand! I chose Mokey Mokey and Happy Lover~" Mion sang proudly.

She switched her monsters to Attack Position and watched as the Herald lifted his lance. "Direct attack, Manju and Herald!"

Mion's eyes were absolutely glistening with excitement and intensity. She was dueling well, in front of her new friends, and she was going to a par-

Mion froze as her mother's words echoed through her mind.

"Be back no later than seven!"

Mion flushed, her mood immediately dampened. What was she going to tell Lauren?

"I-if those attacks hit, I'm done Jayson-kun," the green-haired girl murmured.

Ikana watched the unfolding duel with awe. He knew as a novice he wouldn't have much of a chance against any of the duelists here, which depressed him as he watched. He pulled his deck out his rather bright Duel Disk, and looked at the top card, Gravekeeper's Curse. He placed the card back on top, shuffled once more, and placed the deck back in the Disk. The duel seemed interesting enough, but time seemed to be moving too slow, and the blue haired boy seemed to be having difficulty keeping his options up. He also realized that the girl was losing her hand rather quickly, and the cards she was discarding all seemed to be weak for their level Fairy monsters. "I wonder I do. She is running out of luck. Shall she save herself? Or shall she fall as all do?" As he mumbled to himself he started to take interest in the boy's deck. I can't help but wonder what he's using.

Lauren beamed at Mion and turned away, adjusting herself on the seat before revving up the Duel Runner and setting off slowly. Once she was at a stable speed, she mounted her feet on the pedals and accelerated forward. Since it was now about 1:00 in the afternoon, as Lauren drove down the street, she began to see people emerging from their beautiful beach houses. Some running to the beach, others just sitting in the shade of their foyers. Lauren accelerated slightly, drifting slightly as she made a quick turn to avoid crashing into an older woman crossing the street.

Turning back, Lauren yelled out an apology. And that's why they tell you to look both ways before crossing the street thought Lauren, giggling to herself. She was only a few minutes from the store now, so looking around her to make sure no one was crossing the street, Lauren accelerated with an enormous burst of speed.

Walter rolled through the streets, heading away from the beach and against the flow of people, the majority of whom were heading the other way to enjoy the sun. He understood why they'd want to - he'd bought more sun cream here than he had done in the rest of his life - but he didn't really want to share the beach with crowds of people. He had, somehow, managed to get a house right on the seafront, so he could enjoy it any time, day or night. He rolled up to another crossing, and was preparing to turn off down another street when another duel runner accelerated across it ahead of him. Intrigued, he changed the direction of his turn and gunned the engine, his runner accelerating to catch up with the other one. As he closed, he recognised the girl who had been duelling earlier, and matched his speed to the other runner.
"Hi there," he called over, though he seemed to remember she was busy for some reason or other, so he didn't expect her to want to duel or anything. "I saw your duel earlier. It looked very much against you; you did well," he added.

Lauren turned her head and scanned the new comer. "Thanks," she said, tilting the handle bars away from him slightly to avoid hitting him. Her hair was whipped about behind her and her shirt was rippling with the wind. Lauren leaned to the left as she made a sharp right turn to avoid falling. Maybe I should put it on auto-pilot. That would make things easier she thought, leaning forward to press a small purple button, just above her duel disk's resting place. A small box appeared on the screen of the duel runner and a voice, uncannily similar to Lauren's own voice said "Auto Pilot Initiated". Lauren would feel the slight adjustment by the slow turning of her handle bars, which went without her assisstance.

Nukaka laid in the sand sprawled out as if she had just washed up on the shore. In fact a tangle of seaweed was in her hair under her hoodie but she didnt seem to notice. She was sleeping heavily and an amount of drool had built up in her mouth and some had formed into a bubble that expanded and contracted as she snored. But then the bubble popped as she awoke and rubbed her eyes lazily. "Wha...huh? How did i get here nya? And more importantly...where IS here nya?" She asked herself as she stood up with the seaweed still tangled in her hair. "Maybe if im lucky there'll be PEOPLE around nya! I could go for some fun." She said as she began walking around the beach she had washed up on.

Once Keegan had unpacked the rest of his belongings that had been sent to him, he looked at his clock. The time read 2:30PM. Well, I have quite a bit of time to get ready for the party Keegan thought as he took his clothes out for the party. I don’t think I will need a deck, because that would be stupid to duel at a party Keegan thought happily in his head as he laughed on his way to the kitchen.

OoC: We're no strangers to love... ok before king kills me, I will stop.

Lauren had gave Desmond the go ahead for her party, but rushed off before he got the chance to ask where it was at. Lucky for him Jayson wanted to know the same thing. After he asked her where the party would be at and she answered, Desmond started walking along the beach a little bit more. He knew Jayson said he would duel him after he got done dueling Mion, but time was wasting away and he wanted to enjoy the beach just a little bit longer before he returned to his beach house to get some rest before the party. He was already a little tired after getting off his plane, the passage of time just made him more sleepy. At the same time, he was wondering or more like hoping he would run into a duelist on his way home. Or at least, run into someone that he can make friends with.

"It's Mollasia all over again..." The small teenager wrapped the piece of cloth over his neck, the burning sun was quite the opponent in Miami, then again he came from Minnesota, the sun wasn't a big factor back home. He toke a small sip from his water bottle and walked through the city, several people stared at the boy with the Moja crown, but he had gotten used to it. "Apparently there are strong duelists here, and I must find them!" He then heard a monster attack and quickly ran up to the two duelists. The female seemed to have the edge here, Herald of Perfection was quite the opponent in duels, however his Beasts could probably put up a good fight against Fairies.

He toke off his backpack and toke out his Duel Disk, he would duel the two after, he had to let himself be known as a competitor no? He stuck the spray painted Duel Disk to his hand and then looked through his deck case, selecting his traditional Moja Deck and placing it into his Disk. He then approached the Duel, observing it with awe. Those people will make for a good duel I bet! Hopefully better then those other guys

As the duel unfolded, another person joined the crowd. Ikana couldn't help but notice the strange crow he wore upon his head. Ikana walked over to the kid, and started to speak. "Excuse me, I normally wouldn't ask, but I must know... Why do you wear that strange crow on your head?" As soon as he finished, he cursed inside his head. His parents had told him to respect the privacy of others during his stay, but what was one of the first things he did inside his head? Intrude upon a total strangers privacy. I'm an idiot, a complete idiot. "Forgive me, I shouldn't have asked. Privacy is one of the things one should leave alone." He started to shift from one foot to another as he talked, feeling rather uncomfortable.

Logan noticed a flurry of movement around him but kept focused on the duel untill he finally noticed a small group had gathered around the duel. Is everyone on this beach a duelist? *Gurgle* It wasnt untill it his stomach groaned that he remembered he still had not eaten. "Might as well get some food..." Logan Stood up, Brushed the sand off his clothes and started to walk back to his beach house to get his wallet and anything else he might need. Once he had reached the house he grabbed his wallet and returned to the beach. "Now which way is the store....*Sigh*...".

"Oh this thing? It's my Moja crown! I collected a ton of Mojas in my card hunting, so I decided the ones that can't be in my deck should be remembered! So I made this crown to show them!" He then looked at the person who had asked "I don't mind, a lot of people ask me questions! My name is Noah if you wanted to know!" He then noticed the Duel Disk on the persons left arm. "Hey! You have a Duel Disk! You wanna duel? I was looking for someone to battle here in Miami, though I don't really know why my parents send me out here to begin with..." Noah paused for a second and then looked at his new friend again "So you wanna duel?"

Ikana was shocked when Noah said all that. He didn't expect him to not mind. It was yet another reminder that America was not like Egypt. "Um. Sure, I don't duel a lot, but I'll take the chance to improve. I'm still a beginner though. I'm Ikana." He didn't speak with much enthusiasm, but then again he never did. "Your parents forced you out here? I had to beg. You're luckier then you may think Noah. Mojas? I never heard of them, but then again I haven't heard of a lot of cards. I'm not one of those people who know every card that has a use out there. I stick to the small group of cards I use, and I'm happy." He then activated his Disk, and watched as it moved into position. "I guess I have nothing to lose. You ready?"

After Keegan finished showering, he got dressed for the party which Lauren was holding at her beach house, which seemed to be close to his beach house. Once finished dressing himself, he moved to his room where he found his Xbox 360. He decided to turn it on to play some Call of Duty before heading out for the party at Lauren’s beach house. I wonder who will be at this party Keegan thought as his game began to load.

"Well not forced, I asked to go, however they usually come with me...... Oh well lets go!" Noah then activated his own Duel Disk and stepped back several paces.

"Okay I guess I go first!" Noah said, drawing five cards from his deck before drawing a sixth. Noah then looked at his cards and grinned slightly "I set a monster in face down defense position!" A large Duel Monsters card appeared in front of him, it turned itself horizontal and placed itself firmly in front of Noah. "Next I set another card in face down position and end my turn! Your go Mister Ikana!"

"Eh, freedom is the blessing of the trapped! Draw!" Ikana quickly stepped back, and drew his six card hand. "My new friend, I'll also be setting a monster face-down." As he did, a card appeared face-down and also turned itself horizontally. "However, I'll be setting two cards in my back-row face-down instead of one." The two cards appeared, and settled vertically. I can't wait to see what he has ready for me. First duel, new country, I think I'll enjoy this. "Your turn, Noah. I hope to see some interesting moves from you this turn. Give it your all."

"My draw dude, hope you can handle this!" Noah then drew his card and smiled, this was gonna be a wild duel.

"I flip summon my Super-Nimble Mega Hamster!" The horizontal card flipped up, revealing a plump hamster-like animal with a lightning bolt mark in the center of its chest.

"The effect of this hamster allows me to Special Summon a Level 3 or lower Beast-Type Monster from my Deck to the field face down!" The hamster began spinning wildly, finally turning into a large typhoon of wind, the wind died down, and another card appeared on his side of the field next to his hamster.

"I Normal Summon Beast Striker!" A large ape-like creature appeared on his side of the field, spinning its hammer before landing on his side of the field.

"Now! Beast Striker! Attack his face down monster!" The large beast obeyed, charging at the horizontal card, before jumping up and striking it with his hammer.

Nukaka saw all the duelists and grinned. "Yaaaay PEOPLE!!!" She yelled before running up to Noah and Ikana. She watched the duel intently and she noticed the seaweed in her hair. She picked it out with a laugh and threw it behind her. "Hey guys sorry to interrupt ya but My Name's Nukaka and i gotsta know...where am i nya?" She asked cocking her head to the side. "I kinda just showed up here and...well i dunno where here is nya."
