"You have a Duel Runner? To be honest I've always wanted one but..." Matt paused for a second, he wasn't sure if he should bring up his poor past, or anything related to his past to be exact. "I've never been able to fine one, I've never ridden one either." Faking a smile, he had turned towards Elizabeth, seeing that she seemed to be happier then when he first knocked on the door. Was it because of him or because of something else, either way the man always seemed happier when others around him were happy. "So um, if you don't mind me asking.. Why were you sent here, I'm guessing your parents like myself or?"

Out of the corner of his eye, Matt had noticed that the duel that was taken place had ended, he wasn't sure who won but at the moment he didn't really care. //Hmm, I guess theres a bunch of people here, a plenty of people to meet and some to avoid. Lovely.//

[Clair]

Mion grimaced as she crawled on her hands and knees, picking cards out the hot sand. She would have to sort her decks out later, because now it was just a matter of getting her cards into her backpack before anybody saw her stuff splayed all over the beach. Looking at her miserable bike, one bent wheel still spinning lazily in the air, Mion sighed. Why was she so accident-prone? Her mind flashed back to those dreaded school days...

[i]"What is that?" Brianna Legrande snickered, her platinum-blonde hair attracting boys like a magnet.

"O-oh, this?" Mion stammered, holding out her lunchbox, emblazoned with anime stickers.

"Yeah... that," Brianna snickered, grabbing the lunchbox out of Mion's shaking hands and examining it. "Why are their eyes so weird?" she mused, picking at a Vocaloid sticker. Mion blushed deeply, embarrassed.

"Here, just take it. Weirdo." Brianna threw the lunchbox back to Mion, looking with disgust at her green hair. As she threw it, Mion watched with horror as the lunchbox clicked open, spilling the contents everywhere. She tried to salvage something before it hit the ground, but Mion slipped and ended up on the floor herself.

She was on the verge of tears as the lunchroom exploded into laughter around her.[/i]

Mion shook her head furiously. [i]Bad memories..[/i] she grimaced, trying to clear her mind. Oh well, she was used to working by herself...

Resigning herself to that fact, Mion started to pick up her scattered cards again.

"I'm not a fan of watching duels. If anything I'd rather be in one." Elizabeth stated not holding her head anymore, her headache was completely better now. Having company over, did her some good. So Elizabeth managed to pull out a smile, but it wasn't to last very long. Elizabeth doesn't like smiling too often and she's starting to enjoy Matt's company even more. But Liz isn't one to open up so easily. But she's willing to try. "Let's go see what's happening down at the beach...I should probably get rid of my jacket I guess. I'll be right back, I just have to go put my jacket away" Elizabeth said

Lauren blinked then smiled. "Alright, see you later then" she said, waving back before turning to the new comer. "Hi, I'm Lauren. Lauren Winters. And thanks! And I know I dont know you but, you wanna come to a party later? If so just, I don't stop by the big blue green beach house down there at around 7 tonight. I gotta go for now, pickin up some food from the store," she said quickly. Without waiting for a reply she turned around and ran off down the beach. [i]Alright now I need to go get dressed to go to the store[/i] she thought. As she ran, Lauren could feel the sea shells beneath her feet, each shell smooth and bumpy. After a few moments of running, Lauren finally reached her house. Turning, she began to clime the somewhat steep hill of sand to reach her back door, slipping slightly as she stepped on some grass. Pulling herself up the hill, she stood up and brushed her slender legs and shook her head to make sure that any sand that may have gotten into her hand was dislodged.

"Alrighty then" she said to herself, reaching out and grabbing the door handle, "Gotta get dressed so I can head out."

Lauren pulled open the door and hopped over the threshold. Cool, refreshing air met her face, causing her to sigh with pleasure.

Turning around to close the door, Lauren's eye caught and locked onto a flashing red light. Pushing the sliding glass door closed, she moved from the back door and to the light, which turned out to belong to the house phone. Leaning forward she squinted at the phone and read 'You have one unread message'.

"How the hell can I have an [b]Unread[/b] message when this is a house phone?" she asked aloud, before reaching out and picking up the phone. Pressing the 1 button, Lauren held the phone up to ear and listened. It was nothing more than an advertisement for some shady product. Pressing End, Lauren set the phone down and walked away, toward the glass staircase the led up to her room, which overlooked the whole living room.

Once she reached to top of the stairs, she veered off to the left and walked to a set of doors. Reaching them, she pulled them open and stepped into a large, walk-in closet. She glanced around a bit, taking in the different shirts and shorts. The shuffled through hanger after hanger searching for the right shirt, a light brown shirt with "Love from Lauren" splaid across it.

When she found it, she pulled it down from the hanger and stepped back. Stepping out from the closet a bit, Lauren look at her reflection in the mirror and examined it. Her shorts extended about half way down her thighs and her shirt was short enough to stop just above her belly button. She shrugged and pulled her shirt off, then quickly pulled her brown shirt on. It was the same length as her previous shirt. Smiling ar her reflection, Lauren revolved once and walked back into the closet. After scouting for a few minutes, Lauren found a set of jeans with a rose design on the back pokets. She smiled, pulling off her shorts and pulling on her jeans.

Leaving the closet, Lauren stopped to button the jeans. After, she turned around and closed the closet doors and made her way down the glass stairs and to the front door. She opened it and stepped out into the sunlight. Closing the door behind her, Lauren turned to her left and made her way to her garage. Reaching it, Lauren bent down low and grasped the bottom of the garage door and pulled it up. About half way, she released it, letting it slide up on it's own, revealing a dazzling Green and Pink Duel runner.

After sliding onto the runner and backing out of the garage, Lauren set off down the road at a mild speed. Lauren let the wind blow her hair around. Taking one hand off the handle bars, she let it fall to her side. The breeze was refreshing to her hot face, making her smile. Turning her head to look at the beach, Lauren say a young woman a few feet forward on the beach. She seemed to be looking for something in the sand. Lauren turned the wheel, slowing down, and drove onto the beach. Stopping completely, Lauren slid off her duel runner, turned it off, and walked over to the girl.

Stopping short of her, Lauren leaned down and brushed a few strands of hair from her eyes and ask "Do you need help?"

Jayson seemed awkward again because he extended his hand out for a handshake and didn't recieve one in return. All he could do was stand there and watch as she ran off along the beach. [color=blue]"Wow, she must be pretty busy what was her name again ... Lauren Winters? Yeah thats right Lauren Winters. Oh and she said she was having a party by her beach house? Awesome! Don't worry I'll be there by 7 for sure!"[/color] Jayson had a smile on his face and continued walking along the beach. [color=blue]"Crap! I forgot what color her house was! I don't want to be an idiot knocking on every door asking if its her house."[/color] Jayson started running faster in the same direction not knowing where she went off to he hoped she was still around the beach area. He looked into the city area and saw an image of what looked liked two girls kneeling down together. He tried to walk closer and get a better view and recognised the hair of one of the girls it looked like Laurens without questioning he dashed uphill towards the two girls and as he got closer he could see that one of them certainly was Lauren. [color=blue]"Phew, thank goodness you were'nt too far in the city Lauren, I needed to ask you what color your Beach House was because I had forgotten what color you said it was. I didn't want to be late for the party by looking around the other houses before the party.[/color] Jayson bent down trying to catch his breath. Sweat was dripping from his forehead and his arm was getting sweaty too because his Duel Disk was still strapped on it, so he un-strapped his Disk and waved his arm around trying to cool it while his other arm wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Mion looked up at the D-Wheeling woman in surprise. Had she come to make fun of her?

Brushing a few loose strands of hair out of her pale face, she began to blush furiously. [i]I probably look so stupid...[/i] she grimaced, shoving a "Happy Lover" card into her backpack, finally looking up at the girl.

She was strikingly beautiful, and Mion impossibly turned a brighter shade of red. This woman reminded her of the [i]popular[/i] kids at school...

[i]N-no! I can't think like that![/i] she shouted inwardly. [i]Besides, maybe she did have good intentions...[/i]

Smiling genuinely up at the taller woman, Mion's bright green eyes shone against the Miami sunlight. "I guess I could use a little help," she giggled, willing her voice not to shake. "Thank you!"

Lapsing into an awkward silence, Mion nervously asked a typical icebreaking question. "What's your name?" she asked, peering innocently up at the D-Wheeler, a "Mokey Mokey" clutched in her hand.

However, she was quickly cut off by a blue-haired guy, who had followed the Wheeler from behind. Blushing again, she quietly resumed her work.

"Well well, someone has a pretty smile." He had once again started blushing, like usual he had said his thoughts out loud. "And I agree with you I perfer dueling over watching others duel, I get impatient when I watch. I also don't mind waiting for you either and I would love to check out the beach with you."

Talking about dueling with Elizabeth had reminded Matt of his tournement experience before coming to Miami. He had been known for winning a bunch of local tournements at his friend's card store and he had even held the regional title before. However like most major contests, Matt tended to choke under massive pressure, losing at any major tournement once he made it through the first few rounds. For eight years he had struggles with the constant issue of stage fright, hoping to get over it with each passing tournement with no success.

Jayson noticed the other girl standing up so while waiting for lauren to answer he decided to introduce himself to the other girl. [color=blue]"Oh, Hello my name is Jayson Prince! Nice to meet you whats your name?"[/color] Jayson extended his hand out to the girl for a handshake [i]'I hope she doesn't leave me hanging like lauren did earlier.'[/i] Jayson thought to himself. [color=blue]"Oh, you seemed to have dropped some cards would you like some help? I see you're a duelist! may I also offer you a duel?"[/color] Jayson turned his head slightly backwards and thought [i]'You're coming on to strong Jayson keep it cool you don't want to rush her now.'[/i] Jayson turned back towards her and had an awkward smile on his face that looked like he could burst out laughing any minute but is keeping a straight face.

Mion glanced up again as the boy offered her help. [i]Why was everybody being so nice to her...?[/i] It didn't matter to the green-haired girl, who was bursting with happiness. [i]Maybe she would make some new friends this summer![/i]

Her eyes shining brightly, Mion returned the handshake enthusiastically. [i]Hey, he has different colored hair as well![/i] she thought, looking up at the boy's blue locks. [i]And he was surprisingly handsome...[/i] Mion felt a pink tinge invade her cheeks, so she quickly dismissed those thoughts from her mind.

"My name is Mion Muzaki, but you can just call me Mi-chan!" she chirped, talking to both Jayson and the unknown girl. "Jayson is a [i]cool[/i] name," she gushed, looking at the boy once again.

Picking up the last of her scattered cards, Mion grinned. "You want to duel?" she asked, brightly, hurriedly organizing some cards into what she thought was one of her decks.

"Then let's go!~"

Bursting with excitement, she grabbed Jayson's hand and pulled him into a more wide open space, where they could duel freely.

Desmond turned his back on the duel and sarted walking away after the women, Lauren seemed to be her name, brought out Gorz the Emissary of Darkness. He was kind of disappointing that his analysis of her strategy was wrong and that she didn't use Imperial Throne for the game breaker. After she brought out Gorz, he figured she would win pretty soon and decided to enjoy the beach a little more. As he was leaving, he heard her mention a party that she was hosting. Desmond didn't know the time or the place, but he figured he would find out one way or another. After walking around the beach for a little bit, he saw a girl bent over in the sand looking for something. He decided to walk go to her to see if she needed any help and was surprised to see the woman he was saw duel earlier arrive and say something to her, then was interrupted by the blue haired guy who either had tourettes or just talked a lot.

Not wanting to miss a chance to duel, he walked up just as they introduced each other. "Hello Jayson. My name is Desmond and I wouldn't mind being your opponent," Desmond said while shaking his hand.

Jayson suddenly felt like he was being the rope in a tug of war game Mion accepted his offer to duel and then this guy called Desmond from out of nowhere grabs his arm and challenges him, suddenly he became the center of attention. [color=blue]"Whoa, w-w-w-w-whoa, it seems we got a situation on our hands and I am in the center of it, well I think its only fair that I get to call the shots right? Well then I can tell both of you wish to duel me Jayson Prince! But in all fairness I offered a duel to Mion or Mi-chan as she would prefer. But how about this, after our duel I'll gladly duel you Desmond afterwards, so do we have a deal that we can agree on?"[/color] Jayson asked both of them.

Mion listened as Jayson explained his conflict, but she was happy that she would get to duel first.

"Sorry for stealing your duel, sir," she murmured sadly, looking at the person who had come up to challenge Jayson. However, his attention was directed at that D-Wheeler, so she turned back to Jayson.

"Come on, Jayson-kun~" she called, sliding her tacky Duel Disk on her arm. She couldn't wait!

She slid one of her decks into the plastic opening, and the Disk activated.

Jayson picked up his Duel Disk and strapped it on his arm. [color=blue]"Don't worry you didn't steal his Duel if anything he was about to steal yours. But whats done is done lets start."[/color] Jayson moved his arm forward and projectiles flew besides him that will display holographs of the Duel Monsters. [color=blue]"I'll let you go first Mi-chan now lets duel show me what you got!"[/color] A blue holograph appeared by his head which displayed his Life Point count which as it was the start of the duel was set to 8000 Life Points. [i]Engage duel disk engage choosing battle music.[/i] [color=blue]"What my duel disk can select music? Thats awesome! Anyway lets continue with it.[/color] [i]BATTLE MUSIC IS CHOSEN[/i] The duel disk shouted as [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDlO7sOlH0s] "Never Lose Myself"[/url] began playing through the duel disk.

"Your right Jayson, you did offer to duel her first. I'm sorry for imposing on you. I'll gladly wait for you to get done," said Blane apologetically. He heard Jayson say something but didn't really catch it, feeling down that he had to wait to duel someone. He also wasn't sure if he heard him either but whatever. He saw Jayson and his opponent, Mion was her name, start dueling. The only good thing was that Lauren was still there and he could at least ask her about the party.

"Hello Lauren, my name is Desmond and it's a pleasure to meet you. I saw you duel earlier and your pretty good. Besides that, I heard you mention that you was throwing a party. You wouldn't mind If I go, do you?"

[Clair]

"Hehe, I'll start then!" Mion chirped, drawing five cards from her Duel Disk.

[i]Duel mode on...[/i] her duel disk stated rigidly. Mion groaned.

The field was laid out as Mion's Life Points were suddenly displayed upon her Duel Disk. Mion grinned at her starting hand, and at her new friend.

"My turn!' she sang, swiping a card from the slot. Her eyes lit up once again, and she giggled.

"I play [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Manju_of_the_Ten_Thousand_Hands]Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands[/url] in Attack Position!" she exclaimed. She smiled brightly. Everything was going all right. So far.

"When Manj is Normal Summoned, I can select a Ritual Spell Card to add to my hand!" she explained, absolutely bursting with energy. Her fatigue from the bike ride had long worn off, and her entire face was shining with a positive radiance.

"I add [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Advanced_Ritual_Art]Advanced Ritual Art[/url] from my deck to my hand! Then, I'll use it!"

The field darkened a bit as an eerie green altar rose out of the sand.

"When this card is played, I can send Normal Monsters to my Graveyard from my Deck whose Levels equal that of a Ritual Monster in my hand, Ritual Summoning it!"

Mion was bursting with anticipation. This was the best she had ever started off!

"I send [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Happy_Lover]three Happy Lovers[/url] and one [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Mokey_Mokey]one Mokey Mokey[/url] to the Graveyard to Special Summon my [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Herald_of_Perfection]Herald of Perfection[/url] in Defense Mode!"

The green altar lit up, the same color as Mion's eyes. A beam shot into the air, exploding into a shower of bright light as the Herald of Perfection appeared to descend from the heavens. It took a knee in front of its master, in Defense Mode.

"I Set two cards and end my turn!" Mion said, her cheeks flushed. [i]What a great start![/i]

Also, I am going on my iPod, so expect my responses to be a lot slower... and filled with grammar mistakes. ;D

Right before logan closed the door he noticed a flurry of activity, The blue haired boy chased after the girl that had won the duel and he saw them farther down on the beach. [i]Well as long as im awake thanks to them i might as well entertain myself.[/i] He began to walk slowly down the beach as now a group of four had assembled and the blue haired boy was dueling a green haired girl. By the time logan got close to the duel music began ringing from the boys duel disk and the girl started her move, On her first turn she summoned a large colorful monster. Logan now intrested in the duel sat down in the sand a couple yards away and watched.

Jayson looked as calm as ever dispite the great start Mion got off to. [color=blue]"Not a bad start there Mi-chan, but I have a feeling mine will be better."[/color] Jayson complimented as he drew a card from his deck. [color=blue]"I think I'll start this off nice and easy by activating the Spell Card Giant Trunade, now this card returns all Spell and Trap Cards to their owners hands which in this case will only affect your field, unless of course you have a face-down card that can negate this cards effect, so are you able to negate the effect or will you return both cards to your hand?"[/color] Jayson replied waiting to see if she can negate it.

[Clair]

Mion gasped in surprise as a scary-looking face appeared to blow her Spells and Traps back to her hand.

"Good move, Jayson-kun!~" she complimented, wagging a finger at him. "But don't think you have the upper hand just yet!"

Mion wanted to save the best for last, after all. She grinned at her hand, making a mental note of which cards were in it. She had a plan worked out for her new friend. Checking her watch, she breathed a sigh of relief. Mion had plenty of time to continue enjoying the bliss that was dueling. Before her mother wanted her home, at least. She grimaced at the thought of her parent, but quickly regained her happy composure when she looked at Jayson's excited face.

Jayson felt his plan is working for him [color=Blue]"Now then with no Traps to stop it, I Normal Summon [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Marauding_Captain]Marauding Captain[/url] and with captains effect I will Special Summon [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Silent_Magician_LV4]Silent Magician LV 4[/url] from my hand. But he won't be around long because I activate the Spell Card [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Level_Up!]Level Up![/url] which will bring out [url=http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Silent_Magician_LV8]Silent Magician LV 8[/url] from my Deck.[/color] Jayson smirked as his plan is coming into place [color=blue]"Next I activate Fissure which destroys the monster with the lowest ATK on your field which means Manju is destroyed! Then Silent Magician LV 8 will attack Herald and Marauding will attack you directly!"[/color] Jayson ordered which his monsters followed his commands.

Mion saw the monsters rushing at her. This had all happened so fast! Waving her arms comically in front of her, Mion panicked.

"J-Jayson-kun! You're moving too fast, and not giving me a chance to counter!" She hoped she hadn't offended her blue-haired friend, and blushed at her words.

"S-sorry, but let's go back to when you Normal Summoned your Captain, activating his effect!"

Mion grinned as her Herald started to glow. "My Herald let's me negate your Captain's effect, destroying him in the process!" she explained cheerfully. "Sooo, Marauding Captain is gone, and his effect is negated. Meaning you can't Summon Silent Magician!~"

"All I have to do is discard a Fairy monster from my hand, and I choose Mokey Mokey!" Mion's Herald suddenly lobbed a stray Mokey Mokey straight into Marauding Captain's chest, causing his hologram to shatter into a thousand fragments.

Mion bit her lip. Maybe she was being a bit too forward?

"Anyways, there's my counter, Jayson-kun!~"

"I'll be right back" Liz said wit ha smile. She turned around and went back to her room, which she has come to realize it wasn't really big. She moved towards her closet and opened it's door. She placed the jacket into the closet and changed her shirt into her black tank top. She then walked back into other room towards Matt. "Okay, I'm back let's head towards the beach" Liz looked over and grabbed her duel disk. [i]I better bring it just in case.[/i] "I'm ready" For once, she was in a good mood and was ready to have some fun.

[color=blue]"Very well just ignore the other moves I've made."[/color] Jayson mumbled as he put Silent Magician LV 8 back in his deck and shuffled it and returned Fissure & Silent Magician LV 4 from his graveyard to the hand and sent Captain to the Graveyard. [color=blue]"Anyway, I activate the Spell Card Lightning Vortex! by discarding Fissure from my Hand it allows me to destroy all face-up monsters you control unless of course you have another fairy monster in your hand?" [/color] Jayson questioned Mion.

[Clair]

Mion giggled softly. She [i]loved[/i] her Herald.

"Sorry, Jayson-kun," she murmured apolegetically as she sent another Fairy to her Graveyard, the Level 6 Gyakutenno Megami. Mion looked at her hand and gulped. She had been using Herald's effect so much... she was running out of cards! Mion knew the importance of hand advantage, and she was losing it right now. However, she still smiled as the discarded Gyakutenno Megami soared towards the swirling lightning encircling the field, snuffing it out. Herald was safe, but with no more Fairies to protect him. Mion looked over at Jayson, whose eyes were burning with intensity. Blushing a bit, she called out to him.

"A-any other moves, Jayson-kun?"

[Time Psyduck]

"Well that went nowhere," Walter muttered as the blue-haired boy's interest in the ongoing duel suddenly returned and he forgot about the challenge he made. By this time the beach was getting rather crowded, so almost as soon as the duel ended Walter headed back to his own house and to his hired duel runner. Switching from his duel disk to the wrist check holder for the runner, he started the engine and swept out onto the Miami streets. The breeze generated by his speed was cool on his body, though the helmet limited how much his face could benefit. He was at something of a loose end, having no plans for the day except possibly to meet another turbo duellist who also had spare time.

She just keeps having Fairy monsters to discard, not only that but they seem to be Normal Monsters to!'[/i][/color] Jayson thought to himself [color=blue]"You've left me with little to no options, so I must end my turn"[/color] Jayson said. [color=blue][i]'Great now I'm wide open for a direct attack, luckily I shouldn't sustain too much damage, but Trunade only returned her spells and traps it didn't destroy them. She'll likely just set them again next turn.'[/i][/color] Jayson thought then looked at his hand and thought about the best possible play for next turn.
