[♥] Summer Dueling {PG-16/Accepting In OOC Thread/Started}

Desmond was watching the duel between the guy and girl with growing interest. He liked to see their cards and at the same time was analyzing their playing style. [i]That girl is really getting it handed to her. Either she got a bad draw or her opponent just got a better one. Her cards are unknown to me, but seems to revolve around sending cards from her deck to the graveyard to fuel the powerful effects of her monsters. There's also some good swarming ability, as shown by her White Lighter & Elite Knight. [/i]Desmond continued to watch the duel as the female duelists played a new field spell called Imperial Throne, replacing Naturia Forest. He also saw her flinch when Elite Knight fell victim to Bottomless Trap Hole.

[i]Interesting, I wonder what she'll do know. [/i]She ended her turn and her opponent summoned a new monster, one that prevented the activation of spells and traps. [i]Now she really is in a bind. Her only line of defense is about to be blown to dust, and she can't do anything about it. I don't know what Imperial Throne does, but that will be the deciding factor.[/i] He smiled to himself as the duel got much more intense. He gripped his hand around some sand as his blood started to boil for a duel. He guessed some strange guy couldn't take it anymore either, and shouted a challenge to anyone willing to accept. He was about to do so, but someone else beat him to it. He gritted his teeth, angry that he missed his chance to duel someone. Desmond jumped, surprised, as the female duelists shouted at the top of her lungs, apparently boosting her confidence. Either that, or every one in Florida had tourettes. He decided to go with the latter.

[i]She still thinks she has a chance. Heck, maybe she still does. But I wonder how will she will play her next move?[/i]

"I wonder if my neighbor's home." Scouting around the beach the man had realized that a good chunk of people were watching a duel, unlike them he had felt that it was too early for a duel. Slowly making his way to his left, the man stopped in front of his neighbor's door and knocked on the rough wooden door. "Hello is anyone home? I'm your neighbor Matt and I thought I would say hello."

The beach seemed to be calm, there was a slight wind that slowly crawled across the sandy blanket as it whistled softly. The only noise on the beach seemed to be coming from the duel that progressed near by, most of the people on the beach were like Matt, they were sent there by their family to have fun for the summer. //I wonder what my neighbor is like... I hope it isn't some twelve year old snot.//

OoC: D: holy crap...so is it like...both are on the field? Or wait i thought your field would be destroyed anyways since its by rule not card effect (or atleast i thought o.o but i know nothin about Malefics)

IC: "Damn," Lauren shuffled her feet and bit her lower lip. [i]What now? I've nothing to defend my Life Points![/i]. Lauren groaned and looked up. "I suppose I'll end, theres not much else I can do," [i]Hell I cant even activate Spells or Traps[/i] "Make your move" she said, bracing herself for the attacks that would surely follow.

Elizabeth was just about to take the first bite of her cereal, when Matt knocked on her door. She put the spoon down and slowly walked over to the door. She was still a bit tired from just waking up. "I'm coming" Elizabeth replied as she rubbed her eyes and opened the door. "Uh, hello sir" Elizabeth replied. As soon as she opened the door the sun seemed to attack her for the sun's rays yet again hit her in the face and as usual she was irritated by that. [i]Who is this guy?[/i] Elizabeth thought to her making sure that she didn't make the mistake of saying it out loud like she tends to do quite often. "Can I help you?" Elizabeth cleared her throat.

OoC: Malefic Stardust prevents my field spell from being destroyed. Anyway...

Keegan looked at his hand and the field and drew his next card. [i]Perfect, I can now make a search! [/i] “I activate the spell card, Pot of Duality! Now, I can reveal the top 3 cards of my deck, and add one to my hand, but sadly, no special summon for the turn,” Keegan said as the cards Mark of the Rose, Torrential Tribute and Malefic Stardust Dragon appeared. “Interesting, but I think I will go with Torrential Tribute,” Keegan said as the other two cards disappeared into the deck, and Torrential Tribute entered his hand. “Now my two monsters, attack!”

"Well um... you see.. I'm your neighbor." Blushing slighty Matt had pointed to his house which had lain next to Elizabeth's. He wasn't expecting a girl to be living next to him, let alone for her to be home. "Oh and um... my name is Matt... May I ask yours?" The man tried to hide his blushing, during his teen years he was usually blushing over the things his ex had said to them, that is before they broke up around his nineteenth birthday.

Looking at the houses at the beach they all seemed to be quite simular, each only varitating slightly between each owner. //Hmm... I wonder what she's like, maybe she's nice... maybe she is also a good duelist and maybe...// But before he could go deeper into thought Matt had quickly snapped himself back into the current world, hoping that he didn't miss anything.

Lauren winced as she was hit with the hologram of Malefic Stardust Dragon's attack hit her, knocking her Life Points down to 3600. However, just as Bamboo Shoot launched itself at her, she threw down a card from her hand "Sorry, I Summon Gorz the Emissary of Darkness!" she called. The scene slowed as a dark void seemed to unravel before Lauren. A dark figure wielding 2 blades, one in each hand stepped forward out of the darkness. The Bamboo Shoot froze as the effect of Malefic Stardust took effect. The Life Point gauge also increased by 2000. Lauren blinked then looked up at Malefic Stardust. "Oh yea! Malefic is the only monster that can attack!"

Elizabeth smiled slightly. "The names Elizabeth, you can just call me Liz...that's what everyone calls me anyway." Liz explained. The sun was now bothering Elizabeth a lot more than usual. And this wasn't helping her headache. "Would you....like to come in?" Elizabeth asked,not sure why she asked that in the first place. "Unless you're busy or something, then it's cool" Liz stated in her normal serious tone that never seems to change. Elizabeth then gentle rubbed her eyes for a bit.

“Oh damn you Lauren, get the damn Gorz, out of my way because I know exactly what you are going to do with that play,” Keegan said in disgust as Gorz and the token counterpart rose to the field. “I will set one card to finish off my turn, and hopefully finish this duel,” Keegan said as the trap card appeared, again behind Malefic Stardust Dragon.

The force from that last play managed to catch Jaysons attention, he turned back and looked at the duel. [color=blue]"Whoa, this duel is still alive with that play man this girl is a smart duelist she allowed the Malefic Stardust Dragon to attack and then activated Gorz from her hand. And with its effect there is a token that has the same ATK as Bamboo shot!"[/color]Jayson decided to hold the challenge until the duel concluded as things just got more interesting. [color=blue][i]'I should try and get more witnesses to watch this duel and I know just how to do it.'[/i][/color] Jayson moved his hand infront of his mouth like a microphone again and addressed everyone around the beach. [color=blue]"OKAY LISTEN RIGHT UP PEOPLE THERE IS AN AWESOME DUEL TAKING PLACE RIGHT NOW BETWEEN THESE TWO DUELISTS YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS OUTCOME! IF YOU HAVE ANY JOB TO DO OR ARE TO BUSY TO AVOID THIS THEN I ADVISE YOU STOP DOING THOSE THINGS AND WATCH THIS DUEL BEFORE IT'S OVER!"[/color]

Lauren let out a sigh and put her right hand over her breast looking worn out. [i]Thank you Gorz! Now I can make a come back![/i]. Lauren removed her hand and drew her card. "Right I set 1 card face-down and next I'll attack your Bamboo Shot with Gorz!" she cried, again thrusting her hand out to point. But this time it was at the Naturia Bamboo Shoot. Gorz to a step back before launching itself at the monster. Gorz's cloak fluttered behind him as he ran. [i]If this connect, I'll have a chance to turn this duel around in my favor![/i] she thought, breathless from the excitement.

Keegan watched in awe, as his monster exploded into darkness, to the attack of Gorz. “You think you have it done do you? I still have plenty more tricks up my sleeve you have yet to see,” Keegan said in disappoint as his lock at been defeated. He hoped that this turn he could get a combo going to rebound against the rebound in this duel Lauren had placed against him.

Lauren beamed as Gorz, leapt back and landed in his original position. "Maybe, but I think I have a chance now! I activate the face-down I set before the attack! Giant Trunade!" The card in front of Lauren stood up and revealed a card with a green hurricane with a face in the center. "This Spell card blows all Spell and Trap cards on the field back to our hand! Including Field Spells!" called Lauren, grinning as a powerful hurricane burst from the card. "I believe that means your Malefic Stardust Dragon is destroyed!" she said, in a somewhat accomplished tone. [i]Yes! I did it! But still, I've only got Gorz left. If he gets blown away, Im finished.[/i]

"Now, I'll finish up but resetting those cards," said Lauren, acting accordingly.

[i]Crap, I am in a very tough situation. If I can get a good draw here, it is game over for her. [/i] “Alright Lauren, I am not giving up because of that damn Gorz. I draw!” Keegan shouted as he drew the card from his hand. [i]PERFECT! This card can get me some more searches. [/i] “I activate the card Pot of Duality, something you might remember from earlier. Let us see what will be revealed to me now,” Keegan said as three cards appeared which were Naturia Pineapple, Mark of the Rose and Dust Tornado. “Lauren, if you can plainly see, you have a problem on your hands with Mark of the Rose coming to my hand. So now, I activate Mark of the Rose! By removing Bambo Shoot from my grave, Mark of the Rose gives me your Gorz for the turn, and each of my turn! Do you have a comeback Lauren, or are you letting this pass you by?”

Smling back Matt solemnly shoke his head. "I'm not busy at all, I just woke up. By the way, you have a very pretty name Liz." With his face changing to a rose-like red shade, the young man had turned his face away slightly only to be blinded by the massive sunlight. "Wow it's quite bright huh, from where I'm from the sun doesn't shine as bright." Matt had taken a quick glance into the interior of the beach house, noticing that while the outside was mostly the same the interior of the beach houses had been the opposite; At least in the cause of his neighbor's house.

"So um... Liz... why don't you tell me more about yourself... you play Yugioh correct?" While the question was quite obvious the young man happened to be lost in the moment, as he was left dumbstruck by the lovelyness of his new neighbor.

"Damn it!" groaned Lauren. [i]Gorz was my table turner![/i] Biting her lip, Lauren shook her head. A rose mark appeared on Gorz's forhead and his eyes flashed. Turning his head to glance at Lauren out of the corner of his eyes, he lept over to Keegan's field and settled into place. [i]Good thing Gorz returns to me at the end of this turn. But I cant afford taking damage.[/i] "There, you have [b]my[/b] Gorz. Show me what ya got!" called Lauren, again attempting to boost her confidence. Her mind raced with ideas, but none could take place until her turn.

“Alright, I will set one monster than move to my battle phase,” Keegan said calmly as his face down monster appeared beside Gorz. [i]This might take some skill to win, but I still can. [/i] “Alright Gorz, attack that token your owner controls!” Keegan announced as the cloaked monster began to attack the token on Lauren’s field. It appeared to be trying to close it into a sphere of dark mist.

"Yeah I do, occasionally. Lately I've been dueling a lot more often. There's not much to know about me" Liz replied still holding her head trying to think. "What you see is basically all there is to know. But I like riding on my duel runner a lot.." Liz added in her normal serious tone again. Her headache was feeling better now, she's quite glad that Matt came over, she could use the company every once in awhile. For being by herself for a long time has made her quite lonely on occasion, but on the other hand she's quite used to it.

[Clair]

Mion panted, sweat rolling down her pale temples as she slowly made her way back to the beach. It was the dead of afternoon now, and the Miami heat wasn't exactly Mion-friendly. Wheezing, she gripped the handlebars a little tighter, in case she took a spill. She looked towards the beach again, at the girl who was still dueling with that boy. The action seemed to have picked up!

Sighing as a small breeze taunted her face with its coolness, Mion tried to come to a stop off the path, only wanting to see the other duelists, well... do their thing. However, the process of stopping didn't occur to Mion's bike, which wobbled dangerously. Mion couldn't keep her balance and...

"Kyaaaa!" Mion gasped, landing face first in the sand. Her backpack flew off her shoulders and crashed into the beach, spilling her cards and Duel Disk, which immediately turned on.

"No, no..." Mion groaned, scrambling to pick up all her cards before something bad happened, slamming her hand over her Duel Disk, which immediately shut off.

[i]Good bye.[/i]

Her face flushed, Mion looked around to see if there was anyone in the vicinity, ready to make fun of her. Usually, there was...

She scrambled about, brushing the grains out of her green hair as she hurriedly tried to gather all her cards and the talkative Duel Disk, without much success.

[i]Ugh...[/i] she thought, on her knees, victim to the hot Miami sun.

Lauren flinched as her token was destroyed. [i]Damn![/i] thought Lauren, [i]Now, I've got no defense since he'll just get Gorz during his next turn.[/i] "Alright what now?" she asked. Privatly she hoped for him to end his turn. She kicked some sand while she stood waiting for Keegan's next move. She twirled her hair as the sun mounted higher into the sky. [i]I need to get to the store soon, I should end this duel quick or I wont have any food for the party I'm planing on having,[/i] she thought, glancing behind her before turning back to her opponent and raising her voice slightly. "You interested in going to a party later tonight?"

Keegan hears Lauren as she asks him about a party. “A party you say? I am in,” Keegan said as he looked at his field. [i]Seems like all I have is my face down. [/i] Keegan was stuck between these last few turns. “I will end my turn with this face down, and hopefully pick up a combo next turn,” Keegan finished as another face down card appeared.

Lauren nodded then drew a card. "Now that it's my turn, I get Gorz back!" she called, watching as Gorz lept again, to Laurens field. "Next I'll activate the spell card Heavy Storm!" As Lauren activated the card an invisible hurricane seemed to strike up in the center of the field, blowing sand in different directions. "With this spell card, all Spell and Trap Cards on the field are destroyed," she said, "Want to counter it? Or just watch your spell and face-down be destroyed?" [i]I hope he negates it with that face-down card he has. Then all I have to worry about it his face-down monster.[/i]

“Ugh, you have game my friend. I have nothing left but this face down monster. You seem like you are in a rush, so I will let you do what you need to do,” Keegan said as his face down card disappeared. “I will see you tonight at the party Lauren,” Keegan said waving good bye walking to the bench to sit down for a while to think about the duel he just had with Lauren and how he let Lauren read his plays, and come back to beat him.

Logan jumped up as a loud voice rang into his home. Startled by the sudden sound he looked around [i]Must have been my imagination...[/i] He then laid back and began to fall asleep again. A few moments later the person began to shout again. Logan Lunged up off the couch and fell over. "Oh this is going to get annoying fast..." He took about thirty seconds to flatten his hair, grab his deck and duel disk and flip his sunglasses back on. [i]Might as well see whats going on...[/i] He grabbed the doornob and pulled the door open, Walked out onto the beach. The duel had started to pick up pace and the blue haired person was holding his duel disk up and yelling. A few new people had gathered around and were watching, He glanced over them with little intrest and sat down infront of his house watching the match. After a few moments the matched ended, the girl had won by the looks of it so logan stood up and started to walk back inside [i]mabey now it well be quite now....but im still hungry...[/i]

Jayson was stunned that Keegan walked out like that. [color=blue]"There you have it the guy walked out on the duel so the winner as a result of a forfiet is THIS GIRL!!!"[/color] Jayson feels a bit awkard announcing like that without mentioning her name so he walked up to lauren after the duel and greeted himself. [color=blue]"Hello my name is Jayson Prince, you dueled quite well and I would have loved to have seen the outcome of that duel. May I ask what's your name?"[/color] Jayson extended his arm offering a handshake and waiting for a reply with a wide smile on his face.
