Ya, probably Mario and Bowser. But sometimes, in some games, they actually work together to defeat their enemies. They are terrible enemies yet good friends. Weird huh?

Link and Ganon. Period. Mario is honestly really boring outside his RPGs, and Bowser has suffered worse Villain Decay than Eggman.

Touhou doesn't stand a chance in this category, oddly enough; no one's evil in it.

Best Hero: Wander from Shadow of the Colossus.

[spoiler=It barely has a story but yes, here are spoilers.]He steals a sword, travels hundred of miles with his horse just to get to the Sacred Land and fights huge, monstrous colossal beasts of the earth of enormous size, from about the size of a small truck to one about the size of a huge skyscraper, armed only with a sword and a bow and arrow, all just to bring a loved one back to life. He throws caution to the wind in his quest, and even as he gets sicker and begins to deteriorate and it becomes obvious what his true fate will be, he still pushes on. Even at the death of his best friend and companion Agro. Even at his own death at the hand of Lord Emon and his guards. All just for one woman.[/spoiler]

Best Rival: Rival from Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Fire Red, and Leaf Green

From the very beginning he's designed to get under your skin, calling you a loser and presenting himself as overly arrogant. Even when you just begin the game, he manages to pick the one Pokemon that has the type advantage over yours (Yellow being the only exception). He shows up all the time, always ahead of you, and always with the smug, better-then-you attitude. Even when he loses, he still manages to act smug, and he's the ONLY rival in the entire Pokemon series to ever become Pokemon League Champion.


... Or was this poll supposed to be one hero and his or her rival? I guess I'd pick Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth, though they got awfully friendly as the series continued, so idk.
