Pokemon Infinity IC Thread [Started/Still Accepting via OOC]

Amanda walked back to her room and called out her Espeon, that jumped to her bed and let out a big yawn.

"Espeon?" The pokemon asked with her head on Amanda's pillow, watching her trainer switch clothes to a more casual thing "Espeon, Esp, Espeon?"

Amanda smilled looking at her reflex on the mirror, glancing over her shoulder to Espeon. "Yes dear, we are going out for some social events. Maybe a couple of pokemon battles. You miss the action don't you sweetheart?"

"Espeon!!!" The pokemon cried shaking her tail in joy.

Later that Day....

Amanda was walking around the streets of Granet City, stopping in front of a shop once in awhile to check the new trends. Her Espeon was walking behind her with a proud look on her face, shaking the tail everytime she took a step. Amanda glanced around and noticed a big commotion in front of the Gym of Granet City, approaching the group a bit curious.

"What's going on?" she asked to a small boy, jumping in joy "Is there something happening inside?"
"Some guy just challenged the Gym Leader! And we are all wanting to know the result of the battle!"
"A Gym Battle?" Amanda smiled at Espeon "That might be interesting..."

"Riolu keep dodging when you see you opening use a full charged Focus Blast." Dimitry shouted Riolu shock it's head and kintinued to dodge alll the firs blasts that scarlett's blaziken was dealing. but earthquake can work for you and againist you when you use it in a gym. Riolu land on a rock peck just as a large fire balst took it out the peck crumbled and riolu end up on the ground with a rock on it's legs it was unable to move. "Come back. Danm O for Two." Dimitry cried out in anger. "Ok lets see if this will set you off." He said with a pissed, grim, unhappy smile on his face. "Come out Elekid." Elekid jumped out of its pokeball and started to spin its arms to charge up. "Now thunder bolt!" A shot of electrisity rushed out of elekid to the cealing and right at blaziken.

Scarlett watched, very pleased, as Riolu was rendered unable to battle by an awkwardly placed rock that got blown to pieces by Blaziken's Fire Blast. This Dimitry may be fresh on the Zando road but he had good instincts and he seemed to be a reasonably accomplished trainer.

She turned to examine Blaziken. They seemed to be in the danger zone of the battle at this point. Blaziken was sweating and breathing heavily enough to be knocked out by a strong enough attack at this point, but they weren't weak enough to activate his Blaze ability. [i]"There may be a way to change that..."[/i] Scarlett though. "Blaziken, break through that Thunderbolt with a full strength Blast Burn!" She knew the drawbacks of this mighty attack. But if her strategy worked, Dimitry's team would be that much closer to defeat.

OoC: You get one free hit after Blast Burn. Don't knock out Blaziken yet. We need Blaze to activate then Magmortar vs. Charizard will be the epic finish.

Blazikens blast burn conected with elekid and sent it slidint backwards about five feet. "Elekid charge up while you get in close and the thunder punch as best as you can." Elekid went running taword the currently emobalized blaziken and knocked it back with a mighty thunder punch but not strong enough to knock blaziken out. "now get way from blaziken and charge up again." Elekid ran back to it's side of the feild and begain to charge. Once it was fully charged, "Now use thunder!" Dimitry called out as Elekid finished charging. Elekid sent a blast of thunder straight at blaziken, but right before it hit blaziken dodged it. "Just keep fireing Elekid." Dimitry shouted as blaziken cantinued to dodge each shot.

OOC: I set it up for baliken's blaze to be activate.

OoC: Thanks, I saw that. I just went to the gym for an hour.

"Blaazikeeeeen!!" roared Scarlett's enraged, fire Pokemon, flame jetting from it's open mouth.

[i]"They've fallen right into my trap..."[/i] thought Scarlett gleefully as Blaziken dodged the next few attacks with ease. Blaze was a powerful ability but also very dangerous in the wrong hands. To lessen the danger to Blaziken in this state, both he and Scarlett had trained in channelling some of the excess energy created by Blaze into his speed and reflexes so he would have an easier time avoiding further attacks.

"Now Blaziken, let's get on to the main event!" Scarlett shouted joyously, "Finish Elekid off with a Flamethrower!"

Blaziken shot a jet of flame twice it's usual size and strength towards the little electric Pokemon. Withstanding a full strength Blast Burn and a super-charged Flamethrower was too much for it, and after a struggled attempt to stand up, it keeled over unconscious.

"Dimitry... Understand, normally I drag out my battles far longer. But I'm just so excited to fight that gorgeous Charizard!"

"Elekid come back." Dimitry called infureated as he held up it's ball. "Larvitar come out and destroy her now!" Dimitry yelled while throughing Larvitar's pokeball out. "Now Use Earthquake just to break some stone of and drop them in front of you now use stone edge." Larvitar shatered the rock pecks around him with earthquake and created blades on its arms with stone edge, and charged at Blaziken.

Back in Turquoise City
Mason has won well of 20 times. the casnio owner was getting verey pissed. "Some one go down there and get that bastered out of my casnio before he whips us out." The casino Owner shout of the walky talkies of his floor men. "Sir will you come with us?" A built body gaurd ask of Mason. "Why Do I have to go with you?" Mason asked ckooky.

[i]"Simplistic, but effective against fire types... Most of the time anyway."[/i] Scarlett thought with a smirk.

Blaziken jumped a full fifteen feet in the air, clearing any stone debris caused by Larvitar's attack by a full five feet. He then proceeded to charge down the little Pokemon with the blinding pace he received in his Blaze state.

"Alright, that Charizard is calling out to be battled," Scarlett said, indicating the silent spectator who merely turned very slightly to look at her, "Let's finish this quickly Blaziken, knock it back with Blaze Kick and follow it up with Blast Burn!"

Blaziken smashed into Larvitar and sent it flying backwards and then toatsred with blast burn. "Larvitar return now let get this over with. Go Charizard." Charizard flew on to the feild and started to snort with intisapation of the battle. "Charizarh grab Blaziken and use fly go to the cealing and then use Divne-Boom Fire balst after you drop blaziken." Charizard flew over grabbed Blaziken and went to the cealing and dropped blaziken after blaziken was half way through it's fall charizard chased after it covering its body using flamethrower and slamed blaziken into the floor with so much force that the whole gym shoock and the floor was destoried. "Charizard come back to my side." Bimitry called as blaziken started to stand it wabled for a second but kept its balance. "Ok ont more hit should do it." Dimitry said with a hint of shock and ah. "Now lets use Fire Blast and finish it!" Dimitry shouted with a hint of glee. Charizard shot one balst of fire at blaziken and dropped it like a bad habit.

The cruise Ship had just landed in Port Opal of the Zando Region. Shogo store into the crowd of people waving in joy. It is then where Shogo got off the cruise ship and headed into town. It was nice, some trainers where battling, people where watching, shops wher busy then out of the blue, someone in a white, long coat, bumped into him and ran off, Shogo got a small glimpse of their face, it seemed somewhat familiar. "Hmm..." Suddenly a Combusken came out of nowhere and landed on top of him, unconscious. "GET THIS THING OFF ME!" Shogo yelled, it's trainer took him off and apologized, "Sorry, he got blasted back by a water pulse..." the trainer said in embarrassment. Shogo got up and pushed the kid down, "Just make sure it doesn't happen again..." and he walked off.

This Charizard was as strong as it appeared. It attacked relentlessly and with a strength that would be unreachable to most Pokemon. Fortunately for Scarlett, she had a Pokemon of such strength. "Return Blaziken," she said, pointing his Pokeball, "Three knock-outs is a job well done. Get some rest. Now I call Magmortar to the field."

A titanic flaming Pokemon with what appeared to me a large rocket launcher for an arm appeared out of Scarlett's second Pokeball. It let out an ear-splitting roar at the intimidating opponent it now faced.

"Dimitry, this is where your strategy must come into play..." Scarlett began, "You see Magmortar is a master of ranged combat. And from what I've seen your Charizard prefers to be up close and personal during a scrap. The problem is Magmortar's ability, Flame Body, is the only way for a fire type like Charizard to receive a burn. And I have a few other tricks to make physical strikes dangerous. While the safer option, a ranged battle would probably end in a draw. So... time to decide... What will be your strategy?"

Magmortar simply stared down his opponents, looking rather menacing.

OoC: Start the battle with a stalemate then use your next Poke to weaken Magmortar.

"Ok Charizard useflamethrower now." Dimitry camanded. Charizard walked on to the feild and released an unrelenting flamethrower.

meanwhile in Turquoise City
Mason has been thrown out of the casino and no to the street. "You know what You pissed me off now get ready for a battle!" He shouted.
"Fine i'll take your chalienge." Said the owner of the casino. "And I'll make it even better. It'll be a one on one battle, If i win you stay out of my casino, If you win i will allow to keep your winnings from to day but I still dont want you to coming back to my casino. Got it?"
"Ya I got it." Mason replied. 'This fool doesn't have a cuel of what he's in for.' they both thought.

[Sweetie Belle]

"That... is a long story," began Palm, "But I believe I can shorten it a bit. Team Infinity came out of nowhere, two years ago, opposing Team Zero. They came to my lab and declared themselves the guardians of Violet. I never met their leader, but each time I tried, I was told he wasn't there. Their base is located in Ruby City, which is actually far away from here. Oftentimes, they come to visit, and Violet seems to like them, but they haven't been here recently." As if on cue, a knock was heard at the door. Palm opened it, and a Team Infinity member came in.
"It's good to see you again, Professor," he said.
"Victor! I was just talking to Yana about how you used to visit!"
"Yana?" he said, "The guy I keep seeing on the wanted posters?" Victor pulled out a phone and began to dial.
"Victor, he's not guilty. It's a misunderstanding that we plan to get straightened out sometime in the future."
"Shay!" The little Shaymin came running out of the back of the lab, and jumped into Victor's arms.
"I see Violet has stayed healthy." Victor began petting the little Pokemon.
"Of course. So what brings you here?"
"I just felt I should visit. Mind if I stay for a while?"
"No problem. I'll get a room upstairs ready."

"Counter with Fire Blast Magmortar!" Scarlett shouted

Magmortar unleashed a mighty ball of fire that exploded in the centre of the field when it collided with Charizard's Flamethrower.

"Stalemate," Scarlett repeated simply, chuckling along with her Pokemon.

Meanwhile...

Yana was dumbstruck at how infamous he actually was. He knew the wanted posters caused most people to think twice about him but this man, Victor, was on to the authorities faster than he could think [i]"Innocent!"[/i]

"If I may..." Yana began, "I'll help the Infinity Member to his room. Then maybe he can understand the circumstances behind my notoriety."

Palm, noting the fervour in Yana's eyes, nodded slowly. "You've stayed here enough to know where everything is," he said, "Upstairs cupboard to your right contains the linen."

Yana nodded and motioned to Victor to follow. He immediately began his story. "If you're part of Team Infinity then you must keep a close watch on the comings and goings of each city? Well, my hardships began when I helped a certain Salamence in distress. A Salamence that was claimed to have destroyed a large portion of Industrial Port Opal... This is far from the truth. What really occurred was the training mission of a promising young Team Zero recruit. She used to be a powerful trainer challenging the Elite Four. Then I found her attacking the city with a troupe of Arcanine. Salamence was just rescuing a nest of Zubat trapped in the wreckage. He was pretty badly hurt in the process, and because I helped him and healed him I was branded a criminal. I don't actually care if you believe me or not. Just as long as my story is known, I'm content to wander with my Pokemon and continue to fight the Zero scourge. Now... let's get that bed linen."

Yana bade a short goodbye to Victor as he began to make up the guest's bed. Whether the Team Infinity member believed his story was anyone's guess. Yana could only hope that the two men discuss it downstairs while conducting their other business. He would be back to join them soon.

"charizard come back." Dimitry told charizard while holding up metangs pokeball. "Come out Metang." Metnag popped out of the pokeball and flotted on the feild. "Metang use psych to hold Magmortar in place then usemeteor mash." Metang's eyes glowed gold and Magmortar was emobalized. Metangs body built up power and then the darted tawords Magmortar.

Meanwhile at the conjunction of routes 302 and 304

Kelly begains to walk down route 304 tawords Topaz City. "I feel bad that I only had to use one pokemon on scarlett but water does beet fire almost every time, but Shelly (her Wartortle) almost didn't make it past Scarlett's magmator that fire duck is one hard core pokemon it's fire punch cumbind with it's ability flame body almost knocked shelly out."

Amanda was listening to the cheers of the outside trainers to the commotion inside. Glancing at Espeon she walked to a nearby cafe, sitting on a vacant table and crossing her legs, always with her purple cat pokemon by her side.

"It should be interesting to see the final result wouldn't it, Espeon?" She asked while reading the menu "We never know who will emerge victorious. The adrenaline rush, the intensity of the battle.... That sure brings back memories doesn't it?"

"Espeon!!!!" the Pokemon cried, sitting on the floor next to Amanda.

"To bad those days are over... and that rookie trainer exists no more..." Amanda said in a dark tone, like if remembering was too much painful for her "Still... I want to see the final result..."

Null(OOC:I'm just gonna call him that from now until his real name is revealed) was running through Port Opal. He was a team Zero member running around this port? That isn't good. [i]"How did I even get here? I was stealing papers from a team infinity grunt, and awoke here, If only I could remember..."[/i] He then accidentally nudged a teenage boy while running, he turned his head slightly to see the surprise, [i]"What the? What is he doing here?"[/i] Null just ran on, he didn't want to get taken in by any officers, he especially wanted to avoid one of the Officer Jenny's, to make matters worse all of his pokemon are fainted except for is Shedinja. He was eventually stopped by some grunt officers but Null had taken out a few smoke bombs and got away. He was almost out of Port Opal...

Magmortar was too quick for Metang. It had already shot a small jet of flame that was more than enough power, not to damage the steel Pokemon, but to send it sailing off course and release it's Psychic grip.

"Did you really think a cowardly trick like that would work?" Scarlett asked angrily. That sort of maneuvre was the staple of Team Zero... Not a trainer like Dimitry. "You'll have to do a lot better than that.... And you've made the both of us really mad! Magmortar, Fire Blast!"

OoC: That Psychic grip. That's a powerplay. Because, in truth, there's nothing I should be able to do about it.

OOC: not trying to power play just trying to mmake one hit connect thats all. soory if it seemed like i was trying to power play.



"Metang Secret power." Metang took the full brunt of magator's fire blast whitch weekened it significently but not enough to kill it. Metangs body glowed white and so did magmators magmator got shoved backwords by secret power. "Hey Sacrlett do you know what type of effect secret power has on an oppenents pokemon when your in a gym?"


Back on route 304
The air begains to get really cold and the tops of the trees ice over Kelly looks up and sees a magnificent bird pokemon fly through the air. "Is that?" Kelly asked herself as she begain to chase after it. "It's landing up ahead." As she came to a clearing in the woods where everything was now iced over she saw Articuno picking thengs from it's wings.

"Com out Nidoking!" The casino owner called.
"Ok this will be easy." Mason said as he reached for his wrist comunicter. "Everyone come back to the casino." Mason's dragons came fllyinf back to the casino. "Dragonite get ready to battle." Dragonite stepped up and staered down the nidoking. "Nidoking Mega horn now." Nidoking came charging at dragonite. " Dragonite grab it's horn and use Fire blast." Mason said commly. Dragonite grabbed Nidoking's hron railed it into the grond and then blasted it with a close range fire bast. "Nidoking get up and use Giga impact."
"dragonite jump and use thunder right on its horn." Right as Dragonite went to jump so did Nidoking and connected with it's Giga impact. "Dragonite use thunder still." Dragonite used thunder connecting with Nidoking horn and knocking it out. "Now if I remember correctly I can go get my winnings now and I give you my word as to not come back to your casino ever again." Mason went back inside and got his winnings and then let the casino. he stopped at the pokemon center and gave all of his winnings to Nurse Joy.

Null ran into an alley way where he looked at his map, he was far away from the headquarters, but he still had the secret papers he stole from that Team Infinity Grunt.He would have to send an emergency call to headquarters to send a plane, or a jet, or a helicopter, or SOMETHING to get him out of there. He pressed the emergency call button on his belt and someone responded...
"Admin Null? Is that you?" a grunt asked over the radio.
"Yes."
"How'd you get in Port Opal!? Weren't you in Ruby city?"
"..."
"Right, you don't say much do you? Well we will send a Kadabra your way to pick you up okay?"
"That is fine." Null then hung up the radio, but then he saw a figure in the distance, it was the boy he knocked into before.
Shogo store down the man in the alley way, "You! Come out here, no one messes with me and gets away with it! I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle!" Shogo didn't let things go easily. Null didn't resist.
"..." Null took out one pokeball, Shogo seemed to know what it meant, "So you only have one pokemon on you? Fine." They went out into the streets and Shogo sent out Alakazam, "What do you have?" Shogo asked. Null just threw his pokeball and his Shedinja came out.

Null made a hand signal, Shedinja used Confuse ray!
Alakazam was unfortunately hit!
Alakazam is confused! Alakazam used Shadow ball!
Null made a hand Signal but Shedinja was already hit! It's super effective!

Right then and there the Kadabra appeared using teleport and grabbed onto Null. Then they both teleported away after Null put Shedinja in his pokeball.
"Tch" Shogo said, "Fine, I'll see him again soon enough..."

[i]"Damn..."[/i] Scarlett thought to herself, [i]"That was a better move,"[/i] She examined her kneeling Magmortar before saying, "I believe it's Paralysis. However... it's going to take more than that to keep us down! Magmortart, flood the field with your Flamethrower! Finish off his Metang so we can return to fighting that beautiful Charizard."

Magmortar raised it's arm and shot out an arcing jet of flame that flooded the field like a torrent of water. Magmortar was just controlled enough to prevent it from spilling out of the field lines and onto the watching spectators. Metang wasn't so lucky...

Metang got burned badly but manged to climb high enough in to the iar to avoid taking more damage then it already had. WHile magmator was balsting away at the feild it didn't relize that metang was just floting over head. "Now hyper beam!" Dimirty shouted and Metang released a massive hyper beam that driled metagn and sent it cracking the gym floor even more then it all ready was . After hyper beam as finish metang fainted from its burns. "Danm i thought we would be able to fight a little longer then that. Return metang. Rest well friend." dimitry spoke the last words softly to his pokemons pokeball as he clipped it to his belt. "Charizard it's up to you let finish this!" dimitry cried as Charizard to to the gym syk flying almost to the cealing.

Kelly walked up to Articuno and noticed that it had a tree branch stuck in its wing.
"Here let me help you." she said as she slowly reached for the branch and pulled on it. "Wow this is a bit hard to get out hold on. Come out Shelly." Kelly's wartortle shelly came out of its pokeball and grabbed ahold of the branch and together they pulled it out of Articunos wing. Articuno nuged Kelly. "I gusse your saying thanks. Well your welcome." Articuno tapped one of Kelly's pokeballs with it's foot and then shotting a small blast of ice shard at Shelly's feet. "Oh you want to battle to see if you want to come with us. Ok."

Magmortar managed to fire a Fire Blast at the last second before Metang's Hyper Beam impacted. However, the explosion was close enough to send the poor fire Pokemon sailing backwards from the shock wave, causing a large amount of damage.

"You're flagging old friend, we have to try and finish this quickly!" Scarlett shouted. She and Magmortar nodded to each other, "Alright, get in close and use Thunderpunch! Leap to reach the Pokemon if you have to!"

OoC: Take it away Mew. That was my last post in this battle. You take control of Scarlett from here.

"Charizard dodge and use and use a Fire blast right on magmators back then use dive bomb flame thrower again." Magmator jumped to reach charizard but was slitly to slow charizard dodge the attack with great ease and knock magmtor back to the ground with a strong fire blast and the dove at magmator uing flamthrower thr sheild itself from magmator flame body the attack connected and magmator went flying into the gym wall. Magmator lept from the wall and charged at charizard. "Now use a full power Flamethrower Magmator. and take out cahrizard." scarlett call out. magmator shot a huge flamme at Charizard. "Charizard take it then usefly to get up close, then finish it with a full sthrength Blast burn!" Dimityr screamed as charizard did what it was told. It landed the Blast burn and knock magmator out. "Every good Dimitry your far better then most trainers I see come intoi my gym. Here you go as a sign that you've won at the Granet city gym the Flare Badge. " scarlett held out the brand new bage. "Oh you dont have a badge case yet do you?" she ask. "No I don't have one." Dimitry replied "Well here take this too." she said while handing Dimitry his badge case. "Thank you Scarlett. YES!" DImitry shouted as he held up the new badge and then put it in it's place in his case.
