All my scraps just lost heavy storm and brain control <_< well looks like i'll have to change it to another MST and monster reborn at least i'm running royal decree to get traps off my back.

 

 

Oppression decks just died along with FrogFTK, Inferinites got nerfed. X-sabers i don't think they care must for cat.

 

and how did BRD get back unlimited.

or even better how does failnomi think bringing Dark hole back in along with monster reborn is a good idea

 

because now we have both COTH n monster reborn in the same format <.<

Frogs are dead. Substitoad it banned. Unless you don't play Frogs properly. The only thing we have in terms of Frogs now is Merchant Frogs, and they are not as good as Frogs were when Substitoad was @3. Magician of Faith couldn't be brought back now, Multiple Dark Holes and Monster Reborns is bad. With of the Black Forest searches DAD, so that can't be brought back.

Still runnable.

 

It's best just to have every Frog xas many as possible, Sangan, Gokipon X3, Fighborg Blaster X2, Ronintoadin X3 (as a filler) and Magical Merchant X3. Altogether in a 37 monster 3 spell deck (those Spells being Trunade and 2x Mass Driver). It is still a relatively easy to do OTK.

Lets see, Frog FTK died but Frog Monarchs might have power due to treeborn at 3 *facepalm*

Finally my cyber deck has some consistency again.

Dark Hole will be broken.

Heavy Storm wasn't that dangerous because of starlight, what were they thinking?

Brain Control kinda deserved it.

Trishula limited before we even get it in TCG, oh well, maybe it will end up like Brionac was and stay at 3 for half a format. As said earlier, Mist Wurm is better in most cases.

Blackwings just lost most of their consistency thus guarunteeded to be tier 3 now instead of wavering between tier 2 and tier 3.

Monster Reborn was given back, kinda broken but still balanced because its just a +0 revive with no cost [/sarcasm]

Hurray for Black Rose to 3, lol my quickdraw plants will own now with that.

Perhaps Power Tool abusing builds will have some more play due to united at three, don't know.

Rescue Cat deserved it.

Thats all I have to say.

Substitoad Is this the first time Konami has banned any archetype-specific cards? Either way, awesome! The Frog FTK is wiped out!

Royal Oppression I see where they got this idea.

Infernity Launcher Step in the right direction. At least the one card OTK is lost. Now the OTK requires one more card: Pot of Benevolence.

Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier That was expected.

Monster Reborn Oh god. Call of the Hauted isn't even banned, so now we have 2 forms of generic revival.

Dark Hole Really? Ridiculous. Just ridiculous.

 

Semi:

Mystical Space Typhoon Step in the right direction. Now we have 5 forms of Quick-Play target destruction and 3 Trap forms. One fifth of the deck can be non-conditional generic S/T destruction. Yay!

Chaos Sorcerer It was limited banned for a reason. Don't put it to 2 again!

Snipe Hunter A theoretically 3-for-2 doesn't sound so bad, but being able to swing for almost a 1/5 of Life? And promotes luck even more? No thank you.

Ojama Trio Well, since the Tokens can be used for Synchro Material, I can see where they are coming from....

Magic Cylinder Now burn decks have a third card that can deal major damage to the opponent at the costs of a -1. I don't think I like this....

 

Unlimited:

 

Black Rose Dragon It should have moved the other way.

Goblin Zombie Since Zombies got hit with a nuclear bomb and re-died, I guess it makes sense for Konami to help them out a bit.

Cyber Dragon That means not I have to get a third one? Cyber Dragon decks Almost all decks are happy to see this but it's bad for the game.

Treeborn Frog I understand Konami's logic. At least it will help frogs recover a little from the loss of Substitoad.

Royal Decree Makes a lot of sense really.

United We Stand If RotA is put back to 3 and this is still at 3, I'm gonna start running Mataza Whack again.

 

Overall, I like the list. It weakened Blackwings, Infernities, and Frogs. There are some things I hate about the list, but then again, Konami is making the list, so that's expected.

Heavy Storm - WHY?!?! Doesn't return the favor for making Dark Hole Limited.

Brain Contorl - I've been hearing things 'bout this being banned soon, so sure.

Dark Hole - Okay, but I still think Heavy Storm should be Limited with this bad boy.

Royal Oppression - That screwed my Anti-Meta Deck over :(

Monster Reborn - Will probably be banned next format, I mean seriously, read the effect.

Mystical Space Typhoon Doesn't return the favor for banning Heavy Storm, but it's nice.

Chaos Sorcerer - Right where he belongs.

Magic Cylinder - Quite nice.

Cyber Dragon - Sweet.

Royal Decree - Nice.

United We Stand - Although quite smexy, probably will be Semi or Limited next format.

Sooo, instead of fixing this broken format and balancing it, they decided to entirely change the format, into a more broken format.

 

F** you Konami :)

But at least it's an interesting more broken format.

 

I don't understand the logic of this situation. It really doesn't make sense. Well, since the Infernity OTK is no longer possible, I can now run Infernities. Yes, that does make sense.
