After he regained consciousness he heard garbled noise and everything was blurry. Then everything came into focus. He leaned over and threw up. Revealing the fish he had eaten just hours ago. He was dizzy. He had no recollection of what happened. He leaned on his right arm to get up. His arm collapsed under him and he hit his face in the blood-soaked dirt. He rolled over again so he was on his back and saw a strange man looking down at him.

"Nyaa~" Kiruha stretched out after her daily nap. She chose to sleep in a bush on the side of the road today. She couldn't help it; she always slept. Being feline, of course it was natural. Got up and continued skipping towards the Elf Village. Along the way, she stopped, noticing a small, shiny object on the ground.

"Nya? What's this?" She stooped down to pick it up. She examined it in the sunlight. It sparkled like a diamond, except it was gold. Apparently, it was a gold coin. Of course, she had no idea how much it was worth. She stuffed it in her pocket anyways and continued down her path.

The green haired elf youth had just recently arrived at her elf village. This particular village, of which there were many of, happened to have a deteriorating 6 foot tall fence, the last remnants of a time when they were much more closed off.

As she wandered her village, Kholai spotted a human selling wares. Right about now, she was feeling a might bit hungry. Approaching him, she smiled eagerly as she spotted a bright red apple and some delicious looking bread.

The human however tapped a sign, indicating she'd have to pay.

Kholai managed to keep some human currency on her, as part of her job as a forest guide. As she reached into the small leather pouch upon her hips, she noticed a hole within it. The girl had been spilling gold coins.

"Amonta de' Toya!" she called out in exasperation and anger. She turned around and attempted to retrace her steps to find her lost coins.

"Nya~? There's lot's of them!" Kiruha followed the path of gold coins. She seemed to treasure each one of them. She must have found at least ten when she bumped headlong into a young elf girl.

"Nya! Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't lo-- Oh! You found some shinies, too! I have ten. How many do you have, nya?" Kiruha seemed to be focused on the gold coins that the elf girl had, and ignored the girl completely.

"Er, atta, nelde," she began, picking up the first three gold coins.

"Canta, lempe, enque," she continued her counting. Her eyes fixated on the ground, she hadn't noticed she was long out of her village and now back on the forest trail.

"Hazad, tolto, ner-" she bumped head long into a female, spilling all the coins she had collected.

"Amin malda rinde!" a phrase which roughly meant that the gold coins belonged to her.

On the ground, she noted a female before her. Not spotting the cat ears, due to her vantage point, Kholai assumed the girl to be human before picking up the coins frantically.

"Hazad, tolto, nerte." she concluded, having reclaimed a little under half of the money she started the day with.

She looked up at the girl, still not noticing the cat ears before speaking once again. "Keh lle sinome?" She had just questioned what the girl was doing traveling through the forest.

"Nya~ What about you? Where are you going? Kiruha's going to visit the Elf Village, nya!" Kiruha was now completely distracted from the gold coins that he elf girl; Now she was more interested in talking to her.

"Kiruha wants to go to the Elf Village to buy more things! Kiruha found shinies, nya! Maybe the elves will trade for Kiruha's shinies, nya! Here, Kiruha likes you, so Kiruha will give you one of her shinies!" The Neko pulled one of the coins out of her pocket and handed it to the elf girl. "My name's Kiruha! What's yours?"

(OOC: Pretend she said this in Elvish, because I don't know any)

Kholai blinked, but didn't think it too odd. Sure, she met a rather disrespectful human the day before who decided traveling through Elvin territory without speaking Elvin was a good idea, and got all upset over it, but perhaps this young lady wasn't a rude human.

"Kholai Ederoi." she replied, smirking. Still on the ground, she used her bow as a support to help her back up, but was rather shocked to see a blatant lack of both elf or human ears. Rather, a pair of perked, hair covered neko ears protruded out of the top of the woman's head.

"Lle Meoi-apanonar!?" she seemed to be accusing the woman of being a Neko.

She took a few steps back, pulling an arrow to about half drawn, but not pointing it at the catgirl.

"Lle il vanta sindora!" she commanded, a phrase which roughly meant the land ahead of her was forbidden. "Sina sindora yl!" warning her that she was coming up to elf territory.

Ghost sighed.

"Don't kill anyone, elf girl," he said, approaching her.

He looked down and saw all the coins.

"So this is over some money, huh?" he asked, "I always thought elves didn't really care about stuff like that. Whatever."

Ghost bent down and picked up the last of the coins that hadn't already been picked up and handed them to Kholai.

"Why can't Kiruha go to see the Elves? They seem like nice people? Mother never told Kiruha about elves. Besides, Kiruha wants to find more shinies!" The Neko still insisted on heading to the Elf Village, despite the other girl's protest. Then she noticed the tip of the arrow. Shiny. Her eyes were immediately fixed on it, and she completely ignored everything else.

"Nyaa~! Shiny! Would Kholai give it to Kiruha? Kiruha offers more shinies!" The girl held out five coins she had found earlier.

(OOC: Haha, sorry, daimonas, I kinda ignored Ghost.)

"Don't kill anyone, elf girl," said a not so distant voice. A man walked up to the two, with a sword strapped to his shoulder.

"So this is over some money, huh?" he asked, "I always thought elves didn't care about stuff like that."

Kiruha immediately took her attention off of the arrow tip and immediately started sniffing the new character.

"¿Qué lenguaje humano habla usted?"("What human language do you speak?")

Kholai couldn't really argue against her the cat girl's request, could she? A light smirk as she pulled the arrow back. If the cat girl wanted the shiny tip of the arrow, Kholai would make sure to deliver it, first class, straight through her arm.

A warning at first, she thought to herself. She wasn't a fan of killing, the primary reason she maintained an all vegan diet, so the first one would only hit a non-vital spot.

Loading the arrow into place, she pulled the bow string back then released her grip, letting the arrow fly.

Kiruha noticed the arrow was flying towards her with great speed. She took her attention away from the man for a second, and jumped to dodge the arrow. She grabbed it in midair.

"Let's play catch!" Kiruha threw the arrow like a dart, and it flew as if it had been shot. It headed straight back to Kholai. She then brought all her attention back to the other character.

"What's your name?" she asked, "My name's Kiruha! Kiruha Irami!"

"Nya? What do you mean, fighting? Kiruha was having fun!" The feline girl sat down on the path.

"You still won't tell Kiruha your name, nya? Are you bad?" Then she noticed the man's sword. Not shiny. She immediately disregarded it. She took her mind out of the entire situation at hand, and took out the coins she had to stare at them in the sunlight.

Kholai effortlessly dodged the arrow thrown back at her, watching as it impaled a nearby tree. She then looked at the cat girl, a serious look to her face and began to speak.

It's kind of a long speech and I'm too lazy to read up translations, so assume it's in Elf-speak.

"The Elves and Nekos had long since lived in peace, but then one day your people wanted more. You invaded our lands, calling for us to save you from the Orc hordes. We did what we could, taxing our own resources while also simultaneous being invaded from the Orcs. What did opening our borders accomplish?! We lost so many elves, so much land, and even if we win we won't get anything out it. Why should we be sympathetic to your plight!?"

(OOC: I assume a certain... RP owner may mention something about Kholai's memory of the war. Be forewarned however, she's an elf and these are the stories she's been told, painted within the text of her own bias and such. She's perfectly allowed to have biased opinions, and it's perfectly acceptable to have her be a hundred percent wrong about things.)

Kholai crossed her hands across her ample chest, turning her nose up indignantly.

((Yes, of course. I was making the story more the elves and nekos always relied on each other for support, but then when the orcs came, neither of them helped each other, driving their alliance into chaos. But yes, of course your character is allowed to biased knowledge of the subject.))

Ghost looked at Kholai.

"Just stop the fighting you damned fool!" he yelled, "Just shut up and go about your business! You're both lucky I showed up when I did, otherwise one of you'd probably have killed the other!"

Ghost sheathed his sword and looked to make sure neither were going to attempt to fight again.

Kholai was harsh. Kiruha didn't like it. She began to cry.

"*sniff* Why are you so *sniff* mean, nya? Kiruha wanted friends... You're mean!" Kiruha turned away from Kholai. Even though she complained about it, she really didn't care. She still had her coins to cheer her up. She took one out and began to look at it as it glistened in the sun. Staring at it, she felt like she didn't have a care in the world.
