Yay, new set. IMO both sides look balanced enough. Just wished we got a little less infect and a little more battle cry and living weapon.

We also got a way to get a feel for the cards as we inch closer to the prerelease.

So, with the prerelease only a day or so away what cards are you most looking forward to?

Not counting Mythics mine are

Phyrexian Crusader: Great infect card, and a major pain to kill.

Green Sun's Zenith: Green is my favorite color and I love tutor effect. As such I love this card

Sangromancer: Free life gain for something that constantly happens on a 3/3 flier is great. The fact that I'm looking for more Vamps for my Vamp deck makes this a perfect addition.

Darksteel Plate: Turning off the main avenue of creature removal is just great.

Bonehoard: This thing can become big fast. The fact that you can keep using it to make other creatures huge is something I love

Victory's Herald: The potential damage this can cause is just cool to me. The fact it can turn all that damage into my life makes me love it more.

Go for the Throat: It's like Doom Blade, but better.

Nested Ghoul: I like making tokens, and this has the potential to make a good number. At the very least he should leave me one.

Flayer Husk: Sets you up for a good start with a 1/1 and when that isn't cutting it you can boost another of your creature. That just seems cool to me, especially for a common.

Rot Wolf: I like card draw, I like infect, I like green, I like this card

Black Sun's Zenith, for the most part, as it will be format defining.

I discarded the whole WB control idea for a mono-black one, which is actually much better. I now have both Grave Titan and Wurmcoil Engine as finishers, incredible disruption and removal and very good card advantage.

The reason I chose to play MBC in the first place is because it is a very fun deck and because you have such a consistent mana-base that you will win about 15-20% of your matches due to your opponent stumbling. Inquisition of Kozilek is brilliant in that respect.

So, we've been getting Action art, and so far we've gotten 3 of the 5 leaders of Phyrexia

All I can tell you is that I now plan on throwing that into almost every white deck I have. ;-)

Same. She is so good.

Anyway, we a re already starting to get leaks of effects. This is the most note worthy won

Karn, the Savior [7]
Myth.
Planeswalker – Karn
[+4]: Target player exiles a card from his or her hand.
[-3]: Exile target permanent.
[-14]: Return all exiled non-Aura permanents to the battlefield under your control.
[6]

An alt version of -14 is Set aside all non-Aura permanent exiled by Karn, then restart the game. Return all cards that were set aside to the battlefield under your control.

Either way, he is amazing.

We also got Urabrask's effect. He's a 4/4 for 5. He gives your whole army haste while the opponent has all their creatures come into play tapped. Not as good as Norn imo, but still really good.

My other fav card of those that we've seen is Caged Sun. It costs 6 to play and it gives all creatures of a chosen color +1/+1 and doubles your mana.

Other big news is we're getting colored artifacts back as well as phyrexian mana. They cost either 2 life or that color mana.

Hey guys.

Elesh Norn is a beast, but competitive only in control-decks. She COULD be brilliant there, as she makes every single one of your threats bigger than the opposing.

On a side note, my strategy for this year's Norwegian Championships has got over 2800 views on the Wizards forums. :)

Deck seems really cool, and a nice change from the usual deck. I would offer advice but I have little knowledge on how to make competitive decks. I mostly stick to interesting, off the beaten path type ideas for my play group.

My latest one is an Elf Infect deck.

Deck centers around Mr. Beast and Nissa to provided a constant stream of proliferation for loyalty, poison, +1/+1, -1/-1, and level up counters. Still, I love making decks better, so any advice. FYI, deck is only 41 cards cause the other 19 are forests.

god is a good god and not only gave me another infect elf, it's a 1 drop. Yay.
