And if you have a friend that wants to make an account, let him/her do it at home instead of at your place, an even easier task.

 

I should say this, I started my account at my school. and there were about 3 others who created an account here too from there. then there is the place I go to, they have 2 or 3 people there other than me who made an account there...well I already had my account, I showed the site to them and they made an account. I know there are many users here with siblings. I know Twin Soul it's the two brothers who share an account since they can only have one account or it will look like they are double accounting and be banned from ycm.

 

If you are reffering to that the 3 others at your school and the people at the other place, that made their accounts were fine then it´s because an IP address is only for one computer, not a group of computers.

If, of course, you consider hurting as not being able to have your own account on YCM without taking initiative and PMing a super mod first.

If that's hurting your family, then your priorities are really off.

 

Quick question: So say we pass this rule. What happens when people start to complain because they have 3 or 4 siblings? What then? 3 accounts? 4 accounts?

 

This would do nothing more than open the door for trolls and spammers.

What you dont seem to understand, and this is what makes you a poor mod in my oppinion is that fact that not everyone is computer-savy new members will not be aware of ALL the rules, you put the onus on the members but the onus should be on the Mods. However your solution is ban ban ban rather than my way which would be to have a warning then a final warning and then a ban instead of an immeadiate ban. If you dont understand that then it is YOU who needs to sort out your priorities. If you could make me a mod I would make ycm a better place.

But he wont do it over and over. essentially the troll will have 2 chances. In terms of what makes me a "bad member" as you so predicate me is the fact that I didnt PM a super in the first place for that i'm sorry. HOWEVER I have PM'd you a number of times now and you have:

1. called me a liar (which I resent becase I have never lied in my life)

2. Ignored me

there's a problem with that. if all the computers are in the same room and they only have one browser for example the default IE. The IP address for all the computers in the room will be the same. if a laptop is brought in, then that's a different thing...more related to wifi stuff. I've tested this at my school and at the place I used to hang out where my friends made accounts. All the computers will have the same IP. sure the IP can change the next day but it doesn't change that same day. And I should say one thing, how can you PM a super to let them know if you don't have an account already or if they just won't read the PM you sent from the already active account? seriously, no offence but not all supers read all of their PMs. back before the IPB switch over when we could see if a person read the message, I had a PM I sent to a super that was never read. sure there could have been a glitch to where it never fully sent or they read it and the system never noticed.

If a mod finds a multiple account, and there is no explanation for it before they find it, the account should and will be banned. You can't blame us for not believing you AFTER we banned the account. If a troll is being confronted about a multiple account, they'll use the sibling excuse as well.

If you know BEFORE any of that happened as a mod, then you can believe it.

Basically, all of it revolves around you members, not us.

Rather guilty trolls and spammers exposed as who they are than innocent members like my friend who are kicked off. The problem is my friend that you are resorting to absolutes and set rules rather than logic, you have been so focused on completely crushing and inihilating trolls and spammers that in the rules you have created you have also spurned innocent members. My rules for the site would protcect innocent users and weed out the trollers and spammers which overall is best. Again i'm sorry i made a mistake i am not very computer-knowledgeable, I also feel that the Mods and supers are distant so as a result I didnt realise I had to PM you first.

The problem with using this phrase in my case goes down to the sole fact that I AM NOT A TROLL and you would have known this if you were a good mod and if you would have done your homework, so that argument is defeated. Your problem is, is that you are so focused on trolls and spammers, that you think all those with double accounts are trolls, however MOST of them are siblings or friends.

 

Truthfully I am tired of arguing and for the mostpart you are right in terms of the fact that I SHOULD HAVE PM'd you first, I didn't know, Im sorry :( All i want is my friend back I have been pleading and asking for days and days and I have nothing, you banned him please can you unban him so we can enjoy YCM together.

We have already discussed and he is unwilling to create a new account for a number of reasons:

 

-he loves the username storm, he uses it for evereything, its his gamertag and he uses it on all the forums he goes on

-he has already created a number of cards which he wants to keep

-he will not create another one out of principle that he has done nothing wrong

 

so if you could unbanhim now please he will be able to pm you from his place and proove that he is a living person and not my double account.

No don't lock it's a good thread, change would not be immediate, it will gradually take place over time, this thread is a glaring statement to change don't lock it. If I was made into a mod btw I would be able to make a significant impact and make ycm a better place.

Asking to be or saying what you would do as a mod hurts your chances at becoming one, actually..

Also, I can pretty much guarantee this will never become a rule.
