2 Accounts per IP - 12 Supports so far!

I think banning Double Accounts is stupid. Most of the time because they aren't double accounts XD

MODS, brothers and sisters exist, y'know. What if a brother or sister wanted to make an account on YCM? It isn't their fault that they have to use the same IP as their sibling. When the time comes that a mod(s) gets suspicious about it, it's very difficult to prove that you're a different person. Think about it.

So I suggest that we create a new rule allowing up to 2 accounts per IP Address to remedy this. Now, I realize that trolls and flamers can use this to their advantage, fine. This also leads me to banning only 1 of the accounts should that one particular account do something wrong. If the chance comes that a brother or sister is actually sharing an IP and their dumbass sibling gets banned, they shouldn't have to suffer because they were related. So I say when 2 accounts are made on the same IP, they should be insantly treated as a seperate person. If someone gets banned and decides to make a double, then fine. Let them. Consider it a second chance to atone for their sins. In this case, if this new account does something wrong as well, IP Ban is in order.

If there is anything I should elaborate on, let me know. Does anyone support this? FIGHT FOR THE BROTHAS AND SISTAHS IN THE HOUSE!!!!!

See... A while ago the Super Mods realized this. And it was so that, all accounts are liable under the same rules. Meaning, if one is banned they all get banned. But it is still really up to the discretion of the Moderator. So I suppose, those with only 1 person in the house would be less lenient than those with lots of siblings who come online...

If you remember correctly Joshicy it was originally you who questioned us when storm put his first post, we then explained that we were friends and he was consequently banned. 2 questions:

Do you know who banned my friend?

How do I get him back? because this is completely unfair, you are a moderator can't you do something???

Well, I just explained that me and Aussa were brother and sister, and that we sharred a computer, anyone can do that, so no support

Well what if you don't want to share the same account? Maybe they could screw things up. I never really share my account with other people cause i'm afraid that might happen.

That may be true for you but yesterday I signed my friend up at my house and he got banned because they thought he was double accounting, in fact that's why this thread was created.

If you only knew lol. How it works in the mod team is different. We all treat each other as separate people, so if there's a breakaway in the rules like that it's subject to the Moderator who did it. And Yankeefan chose to. I talked to him on IM, but he stuck to it and since it IS against the rules, sorry.
