"That's true." Hammish said as he retrived a plate and some cuttlery amd passed the same to Gabe. The duo sat down next to one another, very close together. Hammish reached in, spearing a sausage on his fork and moving it so that the food brushed against his boyfriend's lips. Gabe bit into the sausage, his hair turning aqua, he took another bite and finished it, before moving his hand down under the table and softly rubbing Hammish' thigh, blushing, his hair turned to a shade of bubblegum-like pink. Gabe reached out with his hand and taking a still-warm cinamon roll from a basket on the table. he helt it against Hammish' mouth and the smaller boy took a large bite. He swallowed and allowed Gabe to rotate the bun. Gabe himself took a bite. Hammish smiled, and took Gabe's hand, sucking excess cinamon and sugar from the boy's fingers. "We'd better get to class, Gabe. We have Care Of Magical Creatures. I heard a rumour that it was going to be unicorns all this term!" Hammish' favorite magical creature was the unicorn. He was stoked. Gabe knew he loved them too.

After falling from the sofa and waking with a thud, Elena slowly lifted herself off the ground and wandered into the empty girls dormitory. After pulling on her Ravenclaw robes and sprinting down to the great hall a rather disappointing site appeared. Students were already leaving for their lessons. After quickly eating a slice of toast she looked around for Selene and Tenacity. Spotting the pink hair, Elena headed over and said, with an air of boredom, "Charms first. Do either of you have any first day gossip? I'd rather not listen to the drone of teaching."

When Aiden woke up, the sun was just barely coming up. The Slytherin dungeon still glowed green, with a small amount of dawn's light breaching the floor and mixing with the green of the Slytherin common room from the only window at the far side of the common room. As soon as Aiden was out of bed and dressed, he went down to the main part of the common room. When he arrived, there was a boy and a girl steadily talking to each other at a table on the far side. Aiden walked up to them while they were still lost in their conversation and spoke up while they were unaware of his presence, "Do any of you know what time it is?" The boy and girl suddenly jumped when Aiden spoke, visibly shaking for a few moments as the boy checked a pocket watch he always kept with him for classes. "Its almost 6:30, everyone should be waking up now to go to breakfast." (Note: I will just assume 7:45 - 8:45 is breakfast, just from gathered info that classes start at 9:00)

 

Aiden thanked the 2 and grabbed the first pile of books that he had divided the previous night for his afternoon and morning classes and stormed down to breakfast, keeping alert.

"Emaline, The Hufflepuff girls' prefect...They found her dead today, they say she was attacked, and that it has something to do with a spider." It wasn't really gossip, it was major news. Upsetting major news. Tenacity looked down at his feet, shaking his head. Tenacity turned to Elena, she was pretty but he felt horrid about noticing that. Selene was the most gorgeous girl naturally in the school in the eyes of Tenacity. Veela charm was getting the better of the boy and he hated it. "Anyway, we'd better get to class. You've got charms too, right Elena?" He said as he extended his hand to Selene.

"Dead? Bloody hell... Does anybody know who did it? Because if nobody knows, Hogwarts is likely to close, it's what happened when the Chamber of Secrets was opened. But that's not something we should be worried about because, and not to make a joke of this or anything, we need to worry about what'll happen while Hogwarts is open. You know, the things like extra security, curfews and, probably worst of all, lectures." Feeling slightly awkward after the off-handedness she was behaving, Elena quickly tried to recover herself and look a bit more concerned. "Anyway," she started, "there really is nothing to worry about until something is officially said. Now I'm off to drown myself in charms. Or I would if I could perform that spell." With that, Elena left the great hall while muttering about her ineptitude at conjuring water when she could freeze things with ease.

Aiden ate breakfast in silence at the end of the Slytherin table. Aiden made absolutely sure that Trey didn't even get a glimpse of him. As Aiden poured over his toast, the only thoughts that entered his head were of the kind of evading Trey and at the same time getting revenge against the cat owners and anyone they might convince to stand with them. "A Laughing Potion? No, its impossible to slip something into their drinks." He looked wistfully at the Gryffindor table on the other side of the room where he saw the 2 of the group that now threatened his cover, "No chance of them being able to make a move this early, so I guess my food will be alright for now. At least until they can gather their strength. I'll have to take advantage of this break to come up with something, I can't rouse the other Slytherins to help. Trey will notice me then I'll be in a bad spot. Maybe I can pull a few strings later on and start making them a little more nervous then they are now." Aiden smiled as he took a deep gulp of his milk and silently walked off to his first class of the day: Potions.

trying to shove what he could fit into his mouth off his plate, Gabe nodded, knowing that the pair would need some time to walk down to their class. Standing up, he grapped his glass and took one last large swig to finnish it off, before reaching down and taking Hammish's hand 'Ready Hame.' he muttered through a mouth full of bacon and sasusage. Leading his boyfriend down the hill to the forbidden forest, Gabe reached into his pocket to pull Cat out and let him ride along on his shoulder. 'Come on Cat you need a sun tan, your getting awful pale there.' Gabe teased, earning a squeak of disaproval. Stopping at the edge of the forrest, they were the first ones there, so Gabe pulled Hammish over to an old tree truck, off to the side, out of the view of the students that would soon be coming down the hill. 'Lets go wait for Prof. Talon over here Hame.' Gabe whispered, into Hammish's ear, as his hair turned its aqua shade. Leaning against the stump, Gabe pulled Hammish against his chest and placed soft kisses down the other boys neck.

Hamish placed his hands around the other boy's waist, his cheeks were ablaze. He pulled himself in closer, and softly and flirtily bit into Gabe's neck before running his hands up the larger boy's back. Supporting his leg against the tree and Gabe's side, pressed his lips to the Gabe's, the kiss was more than those that they'd shared yesterday. Hamish gave a soft, approving "Mmm" as he felt the sensation that was Gabe's tongue entering his mouth. This kiss lasted longer, before Hamish reluctantly pulled away and blushed a little. "I love you Gabe."

Feeling his knees, start to give way as he melted into the kiss, Gabe lent back his full weight on the stump. Opening his eyes, as he felt Hamish pull away, he looked into his boyfriends eyes as he told Gabe he loved him. 'I love you too Hame' Gabe smiled, as he pulled Hamish in closer to his own body, putting just a tad too much weight on the stump, as it gave way and fell backwards, the two young boys falling with it. Gabe landing flat on his back, with Hamish clutched to his chest. 'Are you alright?' Gabe laughed rubbing Hamish's head, before placing a soft kiss to his fore head, as he sat up, softly rolling Hamish off him. Standing up Gabe extended a hand down to Hamish.

"I'm fine, Teddy." This was the first time He'd used the name Teddy, although he'd come up with it while he was cuddling up to the boy last night. "You don't mind if I call you Teddy do you, Gabe?" He asked the boy, hoping he'd accept it. "I think it really suits you." Hamish took the boy's hand and pulled himself up into an imidiate hug. "Having fun?" Gabe heard a happy woman's voice. It was a young woman, clearly, but the voice was rhaspy and slightly more masculine than you'd expect from Professor Talon seeing the petite red head. "Come on, boys. We're about to start."

'No you can call me anything you want' Gabe smilled, as the smaller boy pulled him into a tight hug. Hearing the womans voice, Gabe let go of Hamish and took his hand and lead him back to the rest of the class, to the wolf whistels of some slytherin boys. 'ha ha your funny' Gabe glared at them as he stopped beside him, as he pulled Hamish around to stand in front of him. Putting his arms around his boyfriend, Prof. Talon began the lesson. Gabe spaced out on what she was saying, but he knew most of it anyway, Hamish had been talking non stop about unicorns since he found out that they were going to be studing them.

Hamish was bored with the lecture, he'd done all the reading one could do on unicorns. He knew the ins and outs of thier personalities, he knew the effects of killing them and drinking thier blood, he knew it all. He knew what their tail hair could be used for, and what they symbolised. He even knew that most unicorns prefered the touch of a female human. It made the boy regret, well, being a boy, or atleast it would have, were Gabe not gay. Professor Talon finished her lecture and smiled to the students. "We have with us, a young male unicorn, who I've managed to befriend. Students, you're lucky, for the first time in years, Hogwarts students will be dealing with a live unicorn. Professor Talon let out a low whistle and Hamish' eyes lit up. He saw the stark white beast that made every shade of white Hamish had ever seen before appear comparitively gray, a tall stalion with a long, straight horn. "Now, who can tell me the properties of the unicorn's body?" Hamish imidiately answered, giving a long list of properties and going into considerable detail. When he finished professor Talon stood impressed. "Excellent, excellent! 10 points to Gryffindor!" After this award she allowed the students the chance to attempt to pet the unicorn. Not a single Slytherin student was able to touch it without it's protesting. A frw Gryffindor girls were able to give it a gentle pat, and finially it was Hamish turn. Gabe was next. Hamish approached and extended his hand to the beast. He felt his heart light up as the unicorn bowed it's head, allowing Hamish to give it a long, gentle stroke. He even felt as if the Stallion would allow him to ride it. Hamish looked back at Gabe. This truely had made his day almost as much as the kiss.

beaming, Gabe smiled at Hamish, knowing how happy the unicorn made him, by allowing the simple gesture of the soft pat. walking up behind Hamish, Gabe slowly extended his hand 'Hey boy arent you beautiful?' He whispered under his breath as the unicorn sniffed his hand, taking a small step back before bowing his head down, allowing him to step up and pat his soft forehead. 'wow your so soft too.' Gabe gasped in awe. Turning back to faace Hamish, Gabe was grinning, his hair bright purple. 'He let me pat him!' He grinned walking back past Prof. Talon to where he and Hamish were standing before being called foreward to meet the beautiful creature.

"This is why I love them. They're so beautiful, and sweet." Hamish heard giggling from the Slytherin students behind them. Gabe could care less what they thought but Hamish on the other hand was a little more easily upset, so when he heard a slytherin boy speak in a mocking irish accent he was quite stung. "He's so pretty Gabe, just like you in your new dress!" Said the slytherin boy to an eruption of laughter. Talon was leading the unicorn away by this point and she didn't hear. Hamish felt himself getting offended. The nerve of them to insult Gabe like that and to make that stab at him... Hamish drew his wand and wheeled around aiming it straight over Gabe's shoulder at the Slytherin.

'ah ah ah ah no you dont' Gabe said quickly, as he realised what it was that Hamish was planing on doing, his hair starting to get a red tint. 'You know full well, that its not worth your time Hame' Gabe said in a deep voice, trying to hint to his boyfriend that their teacher would be back soon, and that it wasnt worth getting into trouble over. Gabe reached up and slowly but firmly lead Hamish's arm back down to his side. 'not worth it.' He mouthed silently to the boy in front of him. Turning his back on the group of slytherins, Gabe stood with Hamish waiting for their teacher to come back. Feeling a pain in the back of his head, Gabe turned around, rubbing his head to face the group of slytherins laughing. He watched as the one at the front bent down to pick up a small stone at throw it at Hamish, hitting him on his back. Gabe's hair turned bight red as he walked over to the group of boys that were doubled over with laughter. Grabing the boy that he saw throw the stone, by the robes, Gabe lent in close 'dont ever do that again' he growled in the other boys ear. He felt tugging on his sleave turning he saw of the boys friends trying to pull him off. His hair turning black, Gabe cracked. He let go of the boys robes with one hand and knocked over the slytherin that was pulling on his sleave. Turning back to the boy he held by the robes, he was yellling. Feeling someone else pulling on the back of his robes, he assumed it was another one of the slytherin boys, he let go of the leader and let him fall to the ground as he spun around and punched the boy pulling his robes. Panting he looked down, at the boy sprawled across the ground. Pankicking, he noticed he wasnt wearing a green and silver tie. He was actually wearing Gryffindors colours. Staring the smaller boy turned to look up at him. Gabe cursed. It was Hamish he had attacked. Without thinking, Gabe took off running into the trees that surrounded the forest. Speeding up, Gabe fell and rolled on the ground as he took a faster form. In the shape of the shaggy dog he had transformed into on the train. It was the only full animal transformation he was sure that he could do.

Hamish stood up, his eye imidiately beginning to bruise. It must have been an accident. Gabe would never hurt me... Where is he?" Hamish was alarmed. there was no trace of his boyfriend anywhere. Hamish began to cry, knowing that Gabe didn't mean to hurt him didn't detract from the shock and pain of it. One of the Gryffindor girls. Avah Marshal approached Hamish. "Hamish, are you okay?" She asked the boy pretty much rhetorically. "Where did Gabe go?" "It was really scary, Hame. He just hit you, I don't think he meant to do it, then he started running, and he changed...He turned into a big black dog... I didn't know he could do that... He's in the forest, I think." The girl finally answered his original question. Without giving an answer, Hamish took off, running to the mouth of the forrest and calling out into the trees. "Gabe. You can come out. It's okay!" He paused. "Teddy...Please..."

Gabe finally stoped running and sat on the leaf covered ground. Looking down between his large paws he let out a wine. He replayed the scene in his head, over and over again. Turning around and agrily and forcefully hitting the boy that he was so sure was a slytherin. Watching smiling as the boy fell to the ground, then watching in horror as Hamish turned to face him, with plain fear and pain written across his face. Gabe hated himself so much for the pain he had caused Hamish. He simply couldnt belive he had it in him to lift his hand and hurt the boy who had been there for him through it all, who had been nothing but kind towards him. Surely Hamish hated him now. There was no way that Gabe was going back to the castle any time soon. {I might sneak back up to the common room, while the others are all at dinner} he thought as he lowered his head back to the ground and let out a low groan.

Gabe gave up. He walked away with his head down. Maybe Hamish would be back by thier next class. Maybe everything would be okay by lunch time. Professor Talon ran over to him, having been informed of what had gone on. "Hamish, are you okay?" She asked in a concerned tone. "I'll be okay professor, it's just a black eye. Well, a black eye and a missing boyfriend." Hamish sighed, knowing Gabe would be back. "Well, there's not too much I can do about Gabe being gone, but, I can fix your eye." She produced her wand and tapped it next to Hamish' eye. The boy blinked as the swelling went down and the bruise spontaniously stopped hurting. The injury was gone. Hamish headed off toward Defense Against the Dark Arts. It was Gabe's favorite subject. Maybe he'd be there. They were learning how to cojure a patronus in this next unit of work. It was something Gabe had been dying to learn since they met. He'd be there, Hamish knew it. He arived at the DADA room. Professor Brightwing entered moments later, and began to speak. "Think back. Think of the time you were happiest." Hamish cast his mind back, the memory rushed to him, it was recent. Only a few weeks prior, during the school holidays.

 

Sitting nevorously Gabe blushed, his hair turning pink as he shifted in his seat on Hamish's bed. 'Hamish, theres something I've been meaning to tell you, for a while now' the larger boy paused, playing with his hands nervously. 'Well ever since you told me that, you- you're you know. Gay. I've um felt diffrently towards you. I think that I like you.' Gabe was stuttering badly, his hair white. 'Hamish , uhm would you I dont know ever consider being my boyfriend?' He blurted out the last sentance, his blush growing.

 

It was the happiest Hamish could ever remember feeling. His heart raced at the thought of it. He closed his eyes and blocked out the world, he was alone with bliss for just a moment before he realised. Gabe was still nowhere to be seen. HE turned his eyes to the door, opening them. Eventually he gave up. Realising the boy wasn't comming. THe lesson droned on as the students performed various memory-based exercises to try and recover thier greatest memories. Still no Gabe. Finally, the period drew to a close and Hamish began to walk to lunch. He was feeling hopeless, scared that Gabe might be gone for good. He went into the forest, anything could happen there. But Gabe was so strong, especially in his canine form Hamish couldn't rush blindly. The boy took a lone spot at the very edge of the Gryffindor table. Crying softly to himself and looking to the entrance, maybe Gabe would come through the doors.

Saturia was laying on Emalines bed, crying, as she had done for the past two weeks. Hearing the dorm room door squeak as it opened, she didnt even bother lifting her head. 'Come on Saturia, you need to come to lunch and eat something. Evan hasnt seen you all day and he's worried sick. Hes threatening to come up here, if I cant get you down to the common room. ' The voice was soft and full of concern. It belonged to her best friend Alison. 'Come on.' Alison said as she reaced down and placed her hand on Saturia's shoulder. Walking down the stairs behind Alison, Saturia wipped her eyes, as Evan ran over to her and picked her up in his arms, in a hug. 'Hi there. I was so worried about you.' he sighed letting her back down. Saturia walked the short distance to the great hall with her two best friends, as she endured pity stares and smiles from random people in the halls. 'I wish they just wouldnt look at me.' she sighed sadly as they walked over to the Hufflepuff table. 'Want to sit with us?' Evan asked kindly, smiling. 'No thanks. I just wanna be alone. Thanks' Saturia smiled sitting at the end of the table on her own, playing with the food on her plate.

Hamish looked up through crying eyes, they fell upon Saturnia Breeze. Emaline's girlfriend. Hamish dried his eyes as best he could on his robes, he walked over standing in front of her, offering a sympethetic look. "Saturnia... I'm so sorry. I wish I could change it. She loved you so much..." He sat down beside the girl. They had a lot in common, both were gay. Both the more feminine figures in thier respective relationships. Both had struggled with thier sexuality, and both had gone through huge troubles when they came out.

Looking up from her little house that she had been working on with her food, Saturnia saw Hamish standing there, he was a gryffindor boy that she'd seen around school. She knew he was gay too and in a relationship with Gabe in his house and year level. 'Thanks Hamish.' she smiled giving the younger boy a small smile as he sat down beside her at her table. Sitting in silence, Saturnia looked over again and noticed the boys eyes were red and that he too had been crying. 'Whats the matter Hamish? You've been crying.' Saturnia asked gently, hoping she wasnt prying too much into something that was none of her buisness 'and wheres your friend Gabe? isnt he normally with you?'

"It's a long story. Some Slytherin jerk was mocking us, and I was going to curse him. But Gabe stopped me and then beat hit him. I went to pull him away, but he turned around and punched me. It must have been an accident. Then he turned into a black dog and ran off into the forest. That was first period, and I haven't seen him since. He must feel so horrible for punching his boyfriend like that... But he'd never hurt me on purpose. I know he wouldn't..." Hamish sighed and put his arm around her. "Listen though it's not about me. You've lost so much, and I just thought I'd come over and say I'm here for you if you need it.

'oh Im sorry.' Saturnia felt bad for bringing Gabe up, seeing how upset it made Hamish. 'Dont worry, he'll come back when hes hungry. Dogs and most boys are like that.' Saturnia tried to make a joke, Putting her own arm back around Hamish she sighed 'You know, he wouldnt have ment it, he really loves you alot. You two were bestfriends before you got together and still are. Trust me, he'll just be upset for hurting you, but he'll come back, just give him some time buddy. And as for me, I think im doing all right.' she smiled as she pulled the boy into a hug. 'but thankyou so much . And you know where to find me if you ever need a friendly ear ok?' she asked as she held him at arms lenght. 'Now, if your anything like me, then you havent eaten anything either. So come on, lets have something to eat eh?' she asked pulling over an empty plate for Hamish.

Hamish smiled. What a great person Saturnia was. She'd just lost so much. Her girlfriend of two, long years, and yet she was here to comfort him, maybe she just took pride in helping people, or maybe she was trying to hide her pain, either way, Hamish was greatful that she cared enough to be there for him. he helped himself to a small serving food, along with a glass of ice-cold pumpkin juice. "you're gonna be alright. I know how much she meant to you, and I know you mean just as much to her now, wherever she is." He felt guilty. "You probably don't wanna talk about her though. It must hurt. I'm sorry.

((I'm confused. Has it been two weeks since the prefect died or was that a typo from Ducky and we're just at lunch?))

 

Entering the great hall with a yawn, Elena found a vacant spot on the Ravenclaw table. Grabbing a slice of toast and looking around at the Gryffindor table, searching for a friendly face, and saw a Gryffindor talking to a rather upset Hufflepuff girl. Elena didn't know who the Gryffindor boy was, she hadn't seen him in any classes so he was probably a year below, but she knew who the girl was. Her name was Saturnia and she was the girlfriend of the recently deceased prefect, which is probably why she was crying. Not liking to see an unhappy face, especially on people who usually were quite happy, Elena headed over towards the pair.

 

Standing by the girl, Elena noticed that she seemed much better than she did a second ago. "Talking always helps." though Elena. Taking a seat next to the Gryffindor boy, Elena leant forward and looked concernedly at Saturnia. "Are you okay?" she asked, rather pathetically. "You know," she started, with an attempt at being less stupid, "You shouldn't be upset. I know you've lost someone you cared for deeply but if you both cared for each other that much, you should know that nobody that truly loves you would ever ever want you to be upset. Especially if they're the reason."
