Hamish closed, then re-opened his eyes and there he was, standing before the scarlet steam engine that would carry him back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He smiled brightly he was so glad to be back here, and so glad that he'd be leaving for school soon. Hamish' eyes scanned up and down the platform looking for the one person he'd wanted to see more than any other. Where was Gabe? The boy sighed, taking his wheeled bag over to a bench by the platform and setting it down. He waited for his boyfriend, doubting that Gabe would have forgotten thier plans to meet one-another on the platform and find a carriage together. Where was he? Aylyn gave a loud hoot and Hamish looked at her. "Don't worry girl, you'll be home in the owlery soon."

 

 

Tenacity Had already found himself a vacant carriage, there he sat, slightly bored but still glad to be going back to Hogwarts. No one had joiined him in his carriage as of yet, and he hoped that would soon change. He produced his wand and silently started practicing movements while his cat slept above him in the luggage rack.Tenacity looked out the window to see a kid in his house. A year younger than him, the younger gay boy was probably waiting for his boyfriend. Tenacity waved, they got on okay, but wern't exactly close friends. He watched as the boy waved back before scanning the platform again. "Atleast there's someone comming for Hamish." He said aloud, feeling a little lonely.

Noctis or 'Nate' as he had told most his name was took a seat by a boy with a cat, he was about to attempt vconversation, but he thought about how smart that would be and went on with his plan, "So, hi, I'm Nate."

 

Darren got on the train and took a vacant booth and sat down telling Urcha to stop upchucking his owl pellets in his shirt. He grabbed his wand and cast afew spells to make sure he remember atleast SOME spells and layed down on the seat and started humm '99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall'.

"Tenacity." He said extending his hand to Nate, as he thought the boy was known. "Odd name, I know, but it's a long story." He smiled, it was good to have some company. "Anyway, it's good to meet you." Joslyn mewed quietly as thier voices distracted the little kitten from her sleep. "Josey, it's okay. Calm down." He pulled the kitten into his lap and started to stroke her, to which she responded by curling up and puring softly. He turned his attention back to Nate and awaited his speaking, hoping something interesting would be on the boy's mind.

"Nice pet, what's her name?," Noctis said What a dumb question I asked, lemme hit myself for this, he thought, "my pet's a snake named Lilia." He bit his cheek from the inside, "I'm in the first year and I really have no idea what house I'll be in, my, umm, family said I'll end up in anywhere but Slytherin, although the way my luck goes I'll end up being there, eh?"

 

Darren stood up and awaited the candy trolley, "d*mn I need some sugar," he said to his owl.

[Mysterium Tremendum]

Aiden stood rooted to his spot outside the platform train. He'd been waiting forever to finally go back to Hogwarts since it will be the first real test of his new disguise. During his first 2 years at Hogwarts, he'd been known as Corbett and now he was going as his new name Aiden Celestine. He'd also dyed his hair black instead of brown, changed the style of his hair, and even bought new robes. He made absolutely sure that no one would recognize him and no hints would be given that he'd attended previously.

 

He quickly shook himself out of his mind and sat down for a minute. He pulled out his favorite book, "Dark Magic: The Wickest Art" that he'd found in the attic of the home he'd been forced to flee from, disguised as a "Standard Book of Spells, Grade 3" and quietly read through a few chapters. After about 10 minutes, Aiden got up, grabbed his luggage and owl and walked toward the train. "This year should be very interesting" thought Aiden.

OoC: Somehow I'd thought you were third year.

 

"Her name's Joslyn." He said positively to the first year. "You have a snake? Is that allowed at Hogwarts?" He asked remembering reading in his first year that students were allowed owls, cats or toads at the school, and there'd been talk of banning toads for fear that they might be used to breed Basalisks. Tenacity liked this kid, there was something interesting about him. Little did Tenacity know that the sneakiscope in his port was going crazy at the moment. Joslyn continued to pur, but stuck her head up, having heard her name.

"Uhh, yeah I think snakes are legal, just let me check," Nate sat up went to another compartment and asked the boy with the owl, "Hey, do you know if snakes are legal at Hogwarts?" Darren just looked at the kid and said, "no, they aren't legal, atleast as of last year," and went back to sitting in an odd position. Nate just walked to Tenacity and said, "no, I guess they aren't legal, man am I in trouble."

OOC: What do you mean? This is the 3rd year, unless you're saying you predicted I'd be 3rd year.

 

Aiden was just about to hop on board the train when he spotted a strange looking person with greyish hair that looked like a cross between a girl and a boy talking to an odd-looking first year student. As Aiden got closer he saw that the boy had a snake. "Are snakes allowed in Hogwarts? No fair, I was told it was an owl, toad, or newt! I always wanted a pet snake but I could never go out in public long enough or get enough money to buy one" He heard something from them and stopped, "..aren't legal"

"Guess I was right" Aiden, against his better judgement, slowly walked up to the 2 and looked down at the snake without saying a word.

Selene walked over to another group of students, feeling utterly lonely. Her trunk was already on the train, but she wanted to socialize.

"hi..." she said tentatively to the group. "Nice snake." she said, nodding. "I'm not a Slytherin or anything, but I do like snakes."

She smiled serenely, in hope of being included in the conversation.

 

She was feeling dejected and lonely; her other friends had transferred out of Hogwarts to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, so she was left there, alone.

Sneeking up behind the red head, Gabe let go of his trolley full of luggage, to put his warm hands over the boy in front of him's face. 'guess who, but no peeking.' Gabe grinned glad to see the smaller male after the long holidays. He had missed Hammish most, he was not only one of his best mates, but he was also his boyfriend. 'Bet you thought I had forgot about meeting you here!' Gabe grinned goofily, his hair turning a bright, vibrent shade of purple. Hearing a loud screach, from Alyans cage, Gabe smiled and walked over to talk to the restless owl, 'hey girl, aww I know dont, worry you will be home soon, Cats been hating being away from school too you know.' Gabe sighed as he produced a large scruffy fat rat from his pocket. 'Wanna go get on the train before we cant get a carriage by ourselves? I really dont want to have to share with any snakes.' Gabe spat sticking his tounge out, his hair turning slightly reddish, before back to purple as he looked over at Hammish.

Hammish gave a loud laugh, he loved his boyfriend's sense of humour. He flung his arms around the boy and gave him a tight hug, yet tender hug and saying "I missed you so much!" Before grabbing the boy's hand, balancing Aylyn's cage on his trunk he started to lead Gabe to a carriage. "I've got something for you, but you'll have to wait 'til we sit down to see what it is." He teased. He knew this would drive the impatient Gabe crazy, but honestly, he wanted to give Gabe his birthday present. Both boys had celebrated thier 14th birthdays over the holidays and although Hammish didn't know about Gabe's planning, he knew that he himself was clever about it. He'd used the fact that his father owned a wizarding pub to his advantage. The pair entered the train and wound there way into a carriage. Hammish put his owl up on the luggage rack but not his trunk, which contained a large case of butterbeer along with a hand written birthday card that read, inverse.

 

Fourteen bottles, fourteen years

He unzipped the trunk and thrust the giftwrapped package at Gabe. "This is for you." The container was heavy, as fourteen glass bottles of butterbeer would be, but atleast now Hammish truck was considerably lighter.

"Oh, hey Selene" Tenacity said, recognising the girl from his year and many of his classes. They were both Gryffindor students. "This is Nate. I don't quite remember what the snake's name is but our friend here's a first year. Tenacity had never really had what he assumed would be the pleasure of meeting Selene on a close friendship basis, but he seemed to get along alright with her in previous years. He smiled welcomingly. "Why don't you have a seat?" He asked the pretty, dark haired girl, hoping she'd join them, he didn't mind the first year student but he figured that it'd be nice to talk to someone his own age.

Letting Hamish lead him into an empty carriage, Gabe sat down on the seat closest to the window as he watched as his Boyfriend looked in his case, befor plonking something giftwrapped and heavy in his lap. Looking down, with a huge grin across his face, Gabe picked the card up first, and read it aloud 'fourteen bottles, fourteen years. My dear, I wish to you. Joy, happiness, and few tears. Until your years are through. Love Hammish.' Smiling, Gabe felt his cheeks heat up as they turned red as he blushed, not even needing to see his hair, he could tell it was a bright hot pink. Bitting his lip, Gabe's blush grew as he lent in towards his boyfriend. Reaching out to touch Hamish's cheek, Gabe closed his eyes as he lent in to kiss his boyfriend. 'sorry' Gabe mummbled, opening his eyes, as his nose hit against Hamishs' nose. Gabe laughed a bit to try and relive the awkwardness of his first kiss being a total disaster, before keeping his eyes open, and finally softly pressing his lips against Hamish's, before sitting back in his seat smiling, his Hair a bright gold colour. 'Oh that reminds me I got you something too!' Gabe smiled pulling his luggage out from under the seat. He pulled out a large wooden box that he had hand painted without magic, which contained a complete set of quitich balls including a recallable snitch. 'Here you go' Gabe whispered as he held the box out at arms length. 'I forgot a card. sorry' He mummbled, his hair turning pink again. 'But I can make you one, i just need papper' he babbled.

Hammish was blushing brightly as he observed the color of Gabe's hair. He looked so cute...So handsome with golden hair. He sat in silence as thoughts of his first ever kiss filled his mind, this was huge for Hammish. It took him a couple of seconds to return from his thought. He slowly took the gift, smiling in delight, his cheeks barely fading from being almost as scarlet as the train's exterior. "I really like you with gold hair..." He said to his boyfriend before continuing to speak on the subject of gifts. "Open yours and I'll open mine, okay?" "Sure..." Gabe started in agreement. "Wait, you like my gold hair?" "I love it, you look so handsome!" Hammish said with a giggle, his irish accent was stronger than usual in that sentence, it did that sometimes. Mostly when the boy was excited, aroused, or otherwise more happy than usual. With that, Gabe's cheeks took on a similar shade of red, and his hair hot pink. "Three...Two...One" Hammish said, trying to ignore the adorable sight before him and get the presents open, eager to see Gabe's reaction. "I love it!" He exclaimed loudly as he opened the lovely, hand-painted box that must have taken Gabe hours of work. The quidditch set was the perfect gift. Hammish was so excited. He couldn't wait to hit the pitch and practice with his boyfriend. He hoped thier postions of Seeker and Keeper would be retained this year, he loved catching the snitch, he loved looking across the pitch to see the approving face of his boyfriend when he did.It was all bliss and this year would be even better. He turned his attention back to Gabe to see his reaction.

Smiling at his boyfriends reaction to his gift, Gabe felt relived that his hard work into painting the box and days and days of trailing up and down the shops looking for the perfect gift were apperciated. Picking up the wrapped parcel, Gabe felt silly for forgetting about it, and placed it back on his lap, his hair turning bright purple as he smiled, excited at what it could be his boyfriend got him. Throwing the wrapping papper to the side, Gabes smile only got wider as he pulled out 14 bottles of butterbeer. 'oh man, thank you so much, I love this stuff' Gabe grinned, hasitly forcing his body forwards to hug Hammish. 'You do realise im going to need your help to drink thesse in our little welcome home party later tonight, right?' Gabe grined, his hair slowly turning gold, as he placed the bottles in his bag and sat down beside Hamish, and slowly reaching down to take his boyfriends hand, his heart racing.

"Well, I can't use a whole set of quidditch balls by myself either." He said with a grin, closing his hand around his golden haired boyfriend's and starting to think. it was beautiful. He soon found his head against the boy's shoulder, they were still hand-in-hand. "What's it mean when your hair turns gold, love?" He asked. He loved that color on Gabe. It was perfect for him. Hammish's heart was racing. He couldn't wait for the year, the young couple could only grow closer. he turned his head just slightly to look up into Hamish' eyes. They were as beautiful as his gold hair. He looked down at his gift, realising that Gabe'd gotten him a far, far better, more expensive, and much more thought-out gift. He felt a little guilty that he hadn't even payed for the butterbeer, it was simply something his father had given him. Hammish' father was very supportive, and having met his son's first boyfriend over the holidays he liked the boy. He thought that they were a good match.

Sighing Gabe was content, with his smaller boyfriend snuggled up beside him. Blushing at Hamish's queston Gabe didnt answer at first, trying to think on how he was going to word his reply without creeping out Hamish, or making Hamish laugh at him. Opening his mouth, Gabe changed his mind and closed it again. 'Well, as you know my hair changes when i change moods, and im not very good at controlling it when its really strong emotions. And uhm some colours are redundant and dont need explained, but gold' he paused still unsure of wether or not he was wording this correctly or not 'i think its when im. when I. Promise you wont laugh?' he paused before continuing, his face and hair a pefect display of his embarrasment. 'mostly my hairs gold in moments, im going to treasure most.' Gabe blushed looking down at his shoes.

Hammish wrapped his arms tightly around the boy and let out a soft "Awwwh!" Struggling not to giggle, not because it was funny but because it was absolutely adorable. He snuggled in tighter and pulled himself closer, sitting up better. he felt his hand reach up and start to stroke through Gabe's vivid hair, watching to see what effect that would have. "That's so sweet, Gabe. I love you!" He said louder. A Slytherine boy in thier year wandered by at this point and sneared, but Hammish didn't even care what some arrogant homophobe thought, he was happy. He lout a content "Mmmm" as he turned back to look at Gabe's face, particularly his hair.

Letting Hammish run his hands freely through his hair Gabe smiled, as his hair changed to a shade of aqua. Smilling stupidly at the pure simple bliss of the moment Gabe sighed. Not even a snake walking past their carriage snearing could wipe the smirk off his face. Hearing Hamish say that he loved Gabe, he felt his heart skip a beat. Sure he knew he really really liked his boy and loved him, he was one of his best friends, but it was right now, just that second hearing Hammish say those 3 simple words that made Hammish realise that he was in love with this boy. Sure many people would laugh at him and tell him that hes too young, to know what love is, think that hes too young to be sure about his sexuailty, but if there was just one thing in this world that Gabe was sure of, it was that he loved Hammish Hennesy. Pure and simple. Feeling his heart rate pick up, Gabes hair turned white, this was the most scared he's ever been in his life. 'I love you too.' He murmered. This was the first time that he had told the other boy that he was in love with him. Sure when they were just mates he had said he loved him many times, but this was diffrent. He placed his head on the top of Hammish's head and closed his eyes and breathed in his scent.

Bliss. Unmistakeable bliss. As he felt Gabe's hand on his head and his breath through his hair, as he heard the first "I love you." To possibly ever cross his lips and not be directed at a relative. He too breathed in his boyfriend's aroma, exhailing softly and putting his head back down on the boy's shoulder, and sighing happily. The moment was soon to be interupted though. Loud laughter could be heard issuing from the halls as a few Slytherine students amassed at the door. One turned the nob and started to speak. "Oh isn't that cute. Two little halfblood f**s in love?" the apparent ring-leader said, to a laugh from his minions. "Maybe your kissing would be more fun if one if you was upside down! Levicorpus!" He exclaimed aiming his wand squarely at Hammish.

Smiling to himself, the bliss was short lived as a bunch of Slytherins walked in, taunting them. One of them turning their wand on Hammish. 'Dont. You. Dare.' Gabe growled standing up in front of Hammish, his hair turning a blazing red, to mirror the anger inside. 'What you gonna do about it? Change hair colours? Ohh im scared. Youre just as pathetic as your little f** of a boyfriend.' The clear ring leader spat at he aimed his wand at Gabe, sending him crashing into the wall on the other side of the carriage, before turning his back on Gabe with the rest of his gang, to pay attenion to Hammish. Feeling his anger grow even more, now that they were back to trying to harm his friend, Gabes hair turned darker, as he got to his knees, and felt his body change, and his vison changed to black and white. Stepping forward, he let out a deep growl. One of the slytherins turned and gasped at the large shaggy dog, stepping towards them baring its teeth. 'you freak' the leader stuttered as Gabe adavanced still growling, causing the bullys to take a step back. Barking Gabe snapped at the closest Slytherins feet, as they ran from the carriage. Changing back to human form, Gabe slumped against the chair panting. He had never been able to make a full body transformation before, and it was hard work, he was absolutly knackered. Looking up at Hammish he smiled, as he shut his eyes and whispered 'No dirty snake hurts us' before falling asleep.

The boy's wand had veered to the left when Gabe jumped to his feet, it was more surprise than anything else. Hamish hadn't been hit by the curse. He wrapped his arms around the boy as his hair returned to it's natural brown. Hamish put his head down on Gabe's shoulder and drifted off into an un-easy sleep of his own. He hadn't slept well last night, he was too excited. Hamish began to dream. Hammish and Gabe stood together hand in hand dancing, they wore expensive suits, Gabe's was gold, as was his hair, and Hammish's was a simple black. The only same-gendered couple at the Yule Ball, and the life of the party. They were happy together and both were smiling brightly. As the spotlight came upon them and the music filled thier ears, they shared a deep kiss.

Lex, who had just gotten on the train, walked through the corridor to fin an empty carriage, or at least a carriage with his friends. When he finally found an empty place he placed his luggage and Silverwing's empty cage on the luggage zone above the seats. He then sat down next to the window and looked at the station outside. He had traveled there on his own, since his parents was too busy at their vet. He wondered where Silverwing may be by now, as he sent him to Hogwarts in advance. He then waited for the train to start moving.

When Rachael first hopped on the train, she looked forward to sitting with her friends and catching up. Much to her distress, ten minutes later, she still hasn't found a great seat. And even more to her nerves, the best seat she could find was one with a bunch of third year geeks from Hufflepuff. Of course, she passed it, knowing there must be something better. She then came across a completely empty carriage, or so she thought. She was already have way in when she spotted Lex, sitting in the corner and looking out the window. She let out a small sigh. Whatever. At least its mostly empty. And I think that guy's in my year and house.

 

 

"Oh. Didn't see you. Uh, is it alright if I sit here?" said Rachael.

Lex, who were half-asleep, became more awake and looked at the girl, who he had been in the same house and year as for five years, but they had never really talked.

 

"Yes of course!" Lex said and smiled and looked at the other seats as if he wanted to make sure that she had somewhere to sit. "Rachael, right? My name's Alexander, but people is used to calling me Lex."

"Thanks. And yeah, it's Rachael," she replied, her back to Lex as she was struggling to put her luggage in the place above her. Eventually, she got all of her luggage in. She sat down across from Lex, in the seat next to the window.

 

Finally facing him, she continued, "Nice to finally meet you, Lex. You're in Ravenclaw too, right? Fifth year? Guess we didn't have many classes together for the past few years because I haven't really seen you around." Rachael began to regret choosing this carriage, but it was better than being with the third year Hufflepuff boys. She nearly shuddered thinking about it.
