I got a MIDI synthesizer! Meaning that I made a lot more progress than I thought I would, in all the wrong ways.

 

There was a bug with power loss on life loss where if the player failed to counterbomb, the power would still be saved. I'm hoping I fixed that, but I need testing to know for sure. So test pl0x.

 

IF YOU'RE DOWNLOADING, PLEASE READ "readme_procella.txt". IT'S THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTION BOOK, AND THIS GAME IS PRETTY MUCH IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT FOCUSING AND BOMBS.

 

So as not to make the file gigantic, I split it in half.

This is the actual game.

This is the BGM, excepting the Last Word theme, which is still with the game files. Extract it into the BGM folder to hear the music.

...the music's not very good, and it's far more melodic than any other shmup on the planet, but it has a unique feel to it and syncs nicely with the game, so I'm keeping it. SO SUFFER. >:D

 

Current accomplishments:

Bosses stage 1-5 finished.

Stages 1, 4F completed.

Stages 2, 3F started.

All minibosses finished except Stage 3E and EX.

All EX normal attacks completed.

Boss music written for Moonbeam, Alex, Jeanne, Cruz.

Stage music written for Stage 1, 2, 3.

Conversation music written for Moonbeam, Alex, Jeanne, Cruz, Emily, Felicia.

Player scripts mostly finished.

GFX requested.

 

v0.12 (and the next bit of ARDA... seriously) coming some other time. Expected updates:

Finished Genner Sitiens, Stage 3 Nyoko, EX-Moonbeam.

Finished Stage 2/3F.

Started Stage 3E, Stage 4E.

Boss music written for Emily, Felicia, Desdemona, possibly Genner.

Stage music written for Stage 4, possibly 5, 6, possibly EX.

Conversation music written for Genner, possibly Procella.

Conversations written for John, St3-Nyoko, Velon.

End-of-battle conversations written for Moonbeam, Alex, Jeanne, Cruz, POSSIBLY Emily.

More bugfixes on players.
