Jolta, looks great, but the pollen sucker thing looks off, maybe it should have curled over her head.
And I noticed how you shortned her skirt. The skirt itself loos great, but, no offense, the bits of the legs you drew to replace the skirt look a bit out of place. The one on our left looks really thin, the but you redrew, and the right one looks a bit fat.
And the shading of the legs kinda looks off.
Unfortuanately I can't really offer tips on how to fix those, but I hope this helped!

With your first sprite, the whole concept of the Porygon doesnt work. Porygon's color changes with each new polygon, and you just have an obligotory transition down the middle. The body you used (I think that is Umbreon) is too round for porygon. This leaves the head and tail looking disconnected.
The amphoros/sceptile doesn't have much to it. Line work on the forward leg needs to not be a solid color.

Oh you people and your over-loved Lugia. Ho-Oh will always be my number one between those two.

Overall it's hard to pick a number one. Hard to say no to Mewtwo, Oh-Oh or Rayquaza. Shaymin is pretty cute too. Also I love the idea of a Lightning/Dragon type legendary (One of the few things I know about 5th gen).

Oh also for those who want to learn a little about scratching, I do some critique to a scratch sprite. Maybe there is common problem you might have that I cover in this:

Anyways, I just started a Sprite Shop. I guess this is a... Spriter's clan so you won't need it. Only Pokemon Sprites. [s]That's the worst part[/s]

Anyone here know how to make eggs? Poke-eggs?

Well anyways there are a lot of things that need improvement. The shape being a big one.

In the image above, I show a bad curve on the left, and a good one on the right. Your sprite ignores thing rule with curves all over the place.

There is allso the shading. Your shadiny woulnd't be too bad if this were some kind of sphere, but your creature here isn't a sphere. Shading is important, as it defines shape. If you just randomly had a few curved lines of different shades, it just looks flat.

The palette needs work to. Although it's hard to get use to, you don't need to add like 6 shades of blue to get porper shading. A lot of sprite styles can generally get away with 4 shades per color. A lot of times the better looks is to have a few shades with higher contrast rather than a bunch of smaller amounts.

It's hard to really sum up all the problems you have and how to neccesarily fix them. Spriting isn't just free hand drawing something. It something that takes time and percision.

Another tip, you need proper direction too. You sort of just drew something free hand, and for a beginner spriter that can be very risky. It's actually best to pick a style, and mimic it. Rather than just drawing this dragon face, pick a game and try to make a sprite like they make them. This lets you have someting you sort of can build off of. You'll be able to look at the other sprites and know what to do in certain situations.

First thind I'd reccomend is that you fix her hair a little. It doesn't seem to match her hair right, not to mention some of the borders on them are quite odd.

Her slightly lifted leg looks garbled too. It curves and bends in some pretty inhuman ways.

Her left arm would be another troubled area. Bulges and shape don't appear to be anatomically correct. Also I haven't a clue what she has in her hand. Some type of techno cube?

I see some blue bordering pink, and that's a big no no.

I aggree with Prometheus about the sudden split in the color. Perhaps making the body one color, and then making the legs and tail the other color, partially disconnected from the body?

Lastly, the head doesn't match the body. The body seems 2-dimensional in comparison with the head. Porygon hhas a very 3D look to him, and the body doesn't portray that the same. It needs more solid flat edges essentially.

If I had to pick a main issue, it's Ampharos heavy. However beyond that, it's a simple splice with not much in the flaw department. It could use a "WOW!" factor though.[/center]

The thing in jolta's sprite's hand is what she uses instead of a pokeball i think. Jolta posted a thread in showcase on that sprite. Also, very thanks for that, i know the head wasnt a good shape, i tried again and again to get it better. Before it was really a messed up shape. The reason for the shading is because on most sprites i see its circular, and when i only had a few shades they were too different. Thanks for that. I didn't bother making any excuse and i never will, if im bad im bad :D

Yes, that is what it is. a Pokecube.

"Legs and tail partially disconnected"? Well, that sounds easy...

My Amphysceptile was my first Splice in very long! I was a bad spriter back in those old days, before I came here. I couldn't even scratch...
