Hmm, maybe it's time I buckled down and made a tutorial on scratching/fakemon...

A lot of people have asked me to do such a thing, but I usually just say I'm not good enough yet. So although I still believe my skill isn't good enough yet to be a proper example, I still understand the ideas and processes that go into it.

Of course I must worry. I spent about 40 minutes to just explain splicing in my first video tutorial. I'd hate to think how long a scratching tutorial will last =P

Maybe you could just give tips on how you would do scratching/fakemon, that would let the viewer have a broader spectrum of imagination when scratching or splicing.

YAY! I've been accepted! My first sprite:
I really like kirby superstar ultra, and I just wanted to play around with the monsters, named Racing Snowball, made out of chilly, simirror, and wheelie bike, has a retractable wind mask.

just go to http://www.spriters-resource.com/, they have tons of sprites available, and not just pokemon, although to use some sprites the person who ripped the sprite will ask that you give them credit, it should say whether or not to give them credit somewhere on the sheet, and sprites are divided by game system (Ds, Gameboy, pc, etc), then the games are sorted alphabetically, so it's easy to find sprites your looking for. (hope that helps :) )

I disagree, but oh well.

So for that scratching tutorial. If it does end up soething that takes a couple of videos to explain, I was thinking of just covering different stuff in each video. Something like:

Concept and Planning
Basic Form
Line Art
Color and Shading
Finishing Touches and Posting

Anything you guys think I should also cover when I do this?

Oh and I'll need a good example as I do this. I want to say I should do a Fakemon for this, but I worry sometimes I theme too much of my stuff around Pokemon. Yet I also know that if I partially called it "Fakemon Tutorial" it would get a lot more views XD

I'll probably stick with Pokemon since I know it's style best, but mention and cover the many other types of styles out there.

-----------

Oh and I suppose my 3 year splicing anniversary is coming up. Perhaps I should throw some splices together and get a sheet posted. Luckily I'll have nothing to do on Christmas day, so plenty of time to do something.

Today marks the end of my 3rd year of splicing. 3 years ago today was when I first posted my splices, and ever since I've looked to improve. Although this is a bit of a small batch, I wanted to post something today to celebrate. I hope you enjoy them.

I do apologize for my lack of activity. I haven't completed any sprites in awhile. I've been dabbling in my many projects, but I haven't completed anything that's really show worthy yet. I also am sorry I haven't CnC'd your stuff yet The Cake is a Lie.

Well, Ive acctually made about twice as much as I posted, but I didnt post all because I don't have the "[]" things on my computer, so I cant make spoilers. So, if I posteded it all with no spoilers, that would be flooding, and I really don't wanna be a pain in the @ss to everyone.

I also have a project to finish, its my best splice ever, itll be done eigther wednesday or friday.
