Grumpy Fish King
No image, too lazy to make one. Book of SolarityQuick-Play Spell CardActivate this card only when your opponent activates a spell or trap card. Negate the effect of that card and place it facedown in the same Spell/Trap Card Zone it was activated in. That card cannot be activated again until the beginning of your opponent's next turn. Old idea of mine, very old. Link to comment
-Griffin
First, this should be in Written Cards really (you'd probably find you fit better there, it has a lot more people who play the game). And I kinda like it. It's an interesting alternative to the other -1 s/t negation, Bribe and those horrible Jammers, and exposes the card to MST/Dust/Hyunlei/Whatever Removal Your Deck has. It's also pretty effective for controlling the general pace of the duel. As a general way to just slow things down, it looks pretty nice and I'd go as far to say balanced. But then I remembered the reason Solemn hit @1. Being a Quickplay, this is outstandingly good at protecting OTK pushes, especially when it's just been drawn in the early turns of the duel. Overall, I feel it's "balanced", but I also feel that since it's a +0 for the turn you use it, and usable from the hand, it protects OTK pushes a bit too strongly. I don't know if you think it needs any further fixing, but if you do, maybe increase the opponent's LP by 1000/2000 - that ought to stop it being quite as effective for OTKs. Link to comment
angelseyes
No picture for the card image, but this is what I've come up with from what you've said: Basically a more playable combination of Goblin Out of the Frying Pan and Malfunction. I imagine the card picture to look like one of the typical "books" but with two 'S's in the centre; a purple coloured one representing traps to the top-right and a teal coloured one representing spells to the bottom left. No idea if it's playable or if anyone would ever want to play it. Link to comment
