For the first time in the battle, Ares started paying attention, "Ivysaur, use Sunny Day. Solrock, use Confusion. Wrap it around the Blast Burn and shove it back at him." Ares' Starter Pokemon nodded and a beam of light shot out of its flower, dissipating every cloud above the Stevent Woods while Solrock, with obvious difficulty, restrained the Blast Burn, immune to the effects of Sunny Day since it was used first. The Psychic Rock successfully managed to push back the massive inferno long enough for it to burn itself out, though in doing so it fainted itself. "Good. Come back." Ares said, recalling his Pokemon. As he did, Ivysaur used Vine Whip, allowing himself to attack Jeannie as well as Edmond's Pyrean, while Houndour charged straight for Charmeleon with its Fire Fang.

"Hmm seems you are needing help,"James then decided using his opinion,"Could I help you 3 strangers ? since I understand that the Masked Man is the Villian."James suggested as he then thought through about what Pokemon he should use, as he then finished thinking he picked a Pokemon out of his three,"So, could I help you ?"James asked waiting for their reply, as he was amazed about how Ares had turned the tables with the Blast Burn used by Grey's Charmeleon. "If you say yes, then what of the Man's Pokemon should I attack then ?"

Pyrean is unphased by the grass attack, being Fire-steel, only halted in its giga impact attack."Pyrean, continue Giga Impact!" Exclaimed Edmond.Pyrean shot forward again.

"Charmeleon, you okay?"

"Char...MEY! (*Grah...DIE!*) Charmelon's tail glowed white and swung it with full force at the approaching Houndour. Charmeleon wasn't going down without a fight.

"Charmeleon, be careful..."

 

Dahlia saw the second blast, this one exponentially more powerful than the first, and twice as long.

"Well well well...Seems like the spark has been ignited..."

 

Tyran could almost feel the blast, it was so powerful.

"Hmmm...Seems the spark's been ignited..."

Ivysaur and Houndour shoved Jeannie and Charmeleon away from them at the same instant and both focused on taking out Edmond's Pokemon, who they saw as the weak link. The two Pokemon made short work of his team and fainted all four of Edmond's Pokemon before Jeannie and Charmeleon could even react and, working in tandem, sent Edmond flying like a pair of Kanto natives and their cat. "Good job, my friends." Ares said to his Pokemon, "Now, finish them off. Houndour, think you can take Charmeleon? Ivysaur, Eevee's yours."

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Char...Char...Charmeleon..." (*This...It's...Not over yet...*).

"Charmeleon, I don't think you should keep going. You're too tired...Ret--" Then Grey realized what was going on. Charmeleon wasn't just trying to win, he was trying to protect everyone. He didn't want anyone to get hurt more than they have to. "Alright, Charmeleon, you can keep going. I believe in you. You do what you think is best."

Charmeleon nodded and performed an improved Draco Tornado, combining not only Dragon Claw and Flamethrower, but Iron Tail as well, trying to force off everyone. He was going to protect everyone, at all costs. He would succeed.

Dahlia activated the comm. ~*Ares, return to the house now. I think I can handle this. You can come back and heal your Pokemon. I know that Blast Burn must have taken a lot out of them. Dahlia, out*~

Dahlia was worried about Ares. She didn't want him to fail. She needed that power.

Anton had just arrived from his Previous Mission, he was sitting in his room in Team BrightShine HQ. Everyone around there was talking about the Fire that had happened in Stevent Woods, Anton afterwards was confused about what Fire Pokemon could of done it. He was excited, about thinking what his next Mission would be.

 

James through the time was angry from being ignored,"I can see that the Masked Man is the Villian, but could you stop Ignoring me ?"James wondered,"I understand you need help, but you ....Nevermind." James then placed the Pokeball of one of his Pokemon in his pocket as he contiuned to watch the battle, he was amazed by the Charmeleon, he understood that it was a Charmeleon that is extremly rare to encounter.

"I've got to go, this battle is getting boring."James shouted to them as he had ran as fast as he can towards Stevent Town, back to battling the 1st Gym Leader, as he was running he had needed to think of a strategy to win, he knows he has a slight advantage with his Bronzor and an disadvantage with his Shinx, but he needed to think.

 

As James had reached Stevent Town, since it had taken him Half an Hour to get there, he had walked around Stevent. Stevent was almost silent, not much activaty was happening, so he had ran to the Pokemon Center to get his Pokemon healed, then he had rushed to the Stevent Town Gym. As he had gotten there, he had knocked on the door,"Hello anyone there !"James shouted waiting for a reply,"Im here to challenge the Gym Leader !"

Just then a man walked out of the door and said, "I am John, the Gym Leader. I use Electric types. If you win you will receive the Lightning Badge." John was tall man with long red hair and wore a white shirt and pants. He lead his challenger into the Gym. "The rules are simple," he said, "three on three, unless you request 4 on 4, and the ability to run on walls is given to Pokemon when they enter the Gym. I'll send out the first Pokemon." he said as he sent out a powerful looking Electivire. "Oh I forgot one thing," John added, "You have the option to choose 4 on 4 now or when you send out your 3rd Pokemon."

"Hello John, I've only got 3 Pokemon with me, so I have to chose 3 on 3."James decided as he had then stared at the Electivire,"I for one didn't expect an Electivire, but im going to lose anyway, so go Magby."James admitted as he had threw a Pokeball in the air, out came his Magby who was excited, but stayed on the Floor ready for battle."Magby use, Fire Punch."James ordered as his Magby had already ran towards Electivire, he was prepared as his Fists blazed with Fire. James had knew that Magby wouldn't have been useful against Electivire, but might slightly weaken the great Thunder Pokemon.

In the city of Stevent, a boy with white hair, green eyes was sitting down on a bench. He wore blue jeans, a pair of converse shoes, an orange shirt, and a black jacket with a set of designs on it. The sixteen year old boy, by the name of Matt Hawk, sighed as he scratched the head of the Cyndaquil that was next to him. "Ty.." he said to the Pokemon. "We have to train harder this time...I'm not losing to the Stevent Gym Leader twice." He had fought the Gym Leader before, but his effort the first time wasn't enough.

 

Ty yawned and said,"Cynda!" (*Yeah!*). He slowly got up and jumped off the bench and nuzzled Matt's leg.

 

"Alright, lets go Ty. We gotta train and catch us some Pokemon!" Matt said standing up and walking towards a small field that was a little ways away from the city.

Akira was standing on the coast, watching the waves crash and the steam rise. "This is a nice city" he thought. Then, he threw his Poke Ball. "Alright, Milotic! Come on out!" he declared as a serpent-like Pokemon emerged. "So, what do you think of this?" he asked.

"Mi..Mi..lotic!" Milotic looked happy.

"Well, I suppose we'll have to go soon" Akira thought as he packed his bag. "I've waited here long enough. Now for that Gym Battle..." he continued. "Milotic, return!" he said, holding up the Poke Ball. He walked from the coast to the Stevent City Gym. "Well, here we go" he thought as he walked in.

When he entered the gym, he saw a trainer confront the Gym Leader. "Hmm...looks like I'll be able to enjoy myself first" he smiled as he took a seat in the bleachers.

Matt and Ty arrived at the small field and they slowly walked through the grass. As they did, a wild Pikachu appeared in front of him. "So, a Pikachu is the one that appeared first. Alright then, lets go Ty!" Matt said with a smile. He saw Ty get in front of him and faced the wild Pikachu. "Ok Ty, first use Quick Attack and then when your close, use Ember!" Matt said as he called out his command.

 

"Cynda...QUIL!!" ("Your....MINE!!"). Ty said as his back flames erupted from his body. "Pika!" the wild Pikachu said as ran towards Ty. Ty used Quick Attack, like Matt told him too, and got right behind the Pikachu. "CYNDA...CYNDAQUIL!!" ("TAKE....THIS!!"). Ty then fired off an Ember attack on the Pikachu's back. Pikachu looked distracted fighting Ty, so Matt to the moment of distraction.

 

He took out his Quick Ball and threw it at the wild Pikachu. It collided with Pikachu and opened, then a red light enveloped the Pikachu. The ball soon closed and it moved a bit. It moved once, then twice..then it stopped. Please, please capture it!! Matt thought to himself. The Quick Ball twitched one last time and it chimed. Matt smiled and said,"Yes! The Pikachu is ours!" Ty smiled and grabbed the Quick Ball in his mouth and gave it to Matt. "Alright, now lets try and find more."

Stevent City... Home of the 1st Gym Leader, John.

 

The population of the city was busy with their day-to-day activities. Some battling, shopping, talking. It was a regular day in the coast city, where the ocean made it's presence felt with the sound of the splashing waves.

Amanda decided to take some time off her Elite 4 duties, and went to Stevent City for a walk... and perhaps some item shopping since the next Beauty Competition was next week and she needed new items for her pokemons.

As soon as she stepped out of her silvered-blue convertible car, all heads turned into her direction, some of them gasping in surprise.

 

"It's started. I forgot how hard is to come to a normal city these days. Ever since I got accepted to the Elite 4, everywhere I go people come to greet me and challenge me to duels. Well... Let's be done with this." She thought to herself, at the same time that a group of 5 kids rushed in her direction.

 

"Are you Amanda, of the Elite 4?" A girl asked.

"Can we see your pokemon?" Asked another.

"What advices can you give me to train my Goldeen?"

"When I grow up I wanna be just like you!"

 

Amanda smiled and started to answer the childrens questions, one by one, while the rest of the people close to them commented on the situation.

 

"Oh my... It's not everyday we managed to see a famous person like her... Do you think she will give me an autograph?"

"I don't know... all I know is that she is a real beauty..."

 

The commotion continued.

Akira looked outside. Ever since returning as the winner of the Sinnoh League, he hadn't had any real action lately. "Magby...against Electivire? There's no type connection, but Electivire is clearly stronger....unless he's trained his Magby extra hard...Then, it might stand a chance" he thought as he took 3 Pokeballs out of his bag. "though obviously, type isn't everything" he smiled as he looked at Milotic's Pokeball. So far, Milotic had not lost a battle before, not even in the Sinnoh League. However, he looked at his other Pokeballs. "Maybe I should use him" he thought. "Well, I'll just have to see" he looked back at the battlefield.

"Magby jump,"James suggested as Magby was close towards John's Electivire, as Magby had leaped in the air, he had did a few spining as his Fire Punch somehow blazed and had grew bigger,"Bingo, now Magby aim the Fire Punch at Electivire."James commanded as Magby then was very close to about hitting Electivire with the Fire Punch that had grew as he had rushed closer. Now lets see what John's going to do, James had thought as a grin appeared on his face, waiting for the results of Magby's Fire Punch.

"Electivire, block it then trap it with your tail," Commanded John. Electivire blocked the Fire type Pokemon's attack. Then Electivire proceeded to create a complicated series of twists and bends in its tails to trap Magby. Then John ordered a Thunder from his Electivire. The Powerful Electric Pokemon began charging it's most powerful attack between it's antennae. This should hold him off, unless he's using dig to escape.

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Houndour, stop that stupid dinosaur before he annoys me. Ivysaur, knock that glowing pink thing into a tree." Ares commanded, to which his Pokemon readily agreed. The puppy circled around Charmeleon, timing his shot just right before he unleashed his Ember at his opponent, counterbalancing him just enough to wobble his fragile balance, while Ivysaur took a more blunt approach, gripping Jeannie with his Vine Whip and throwing her into a tree, where she hit with an audible crack. "Good, now, Doll wants us to head back, so, one last Sunny Day to blind these guys and we're outta here." On cue, a miniature sun appeared in front of him and blinded everyone there, allowing Ares to make a clean getaway.

"Oh no,"James cursed as he had thought of an counter the Electrick attack, his Magby was clearly doomed to escape John's Electivires wrath, as he then had thought of his only hope,"Magby use Smog,"James then decided as Magby had released an poisonus gas that would surround Electivire, James then felt curious to wonder if it would work. Good, now even if this doesn't work, then theres a massive chance of Electivire being poisoned what would give an advantage. James had thought as he then complimented to John,"That was amazing, John, im excited to see what your Electivire has of overcomming it and for what other Pokemon you will use against me, well if I can manage against Electivire what is a small chance."

Matt and Ty were roaming through the grass near Stevent City still. They had caught a Pikachu a few minutes before, but now they continued to search for another Pokemon to join their party. Matt walked through the grass, until a small Poochyena. "A Poochyena! That'll be a great addition to our team!" Matt said as he took out the Quick Ball that had his newly caught Pikachu in it. "Lets go Pikachu!!" he said as he threw the Pokeball. It opened and Pikachu emerged from it. "PIKA!!" it said in delight.

 

The Poochyena started off by using Scary Face to frighten Pikachu. Pikachu looked a little scared, but Matt said,"Pikachu, its alright. Don't be afraid...now use Quick Attack!" Pikachu nodded and used Quick Attack and hit the Poochyena. The Poochyena got back up and used Bite on Pikachu. Pikachu yelled a bit, but Matt knew it was the perfect moment. "Pikachu, use Spark!!" he said confidently. "PIKA...CHHUUUUUUU!!!" Pikachu said as he used Spark. It electrocuted the Poochyena and made him faint. "GO ULTRA BALL!!" Matt said as he threw the ball. It moved once, twice...then a third time. "Yes! Thats another Pokemon for my team!" Matt said with a smile.
