"Alright Charmander, return..." The lizard nodded, and he returned. "Now, since you'll probably be sending out, Rotom, seeing as how he has the clear advantage over both of my Pokemon, I'll use...Mamepato!"

He sent out the bird, who proceeded to peck Grey's head immediately. "Owowowowow...." ((OOC: He's gonna do that 'til he evolves into Hatooboo))

The Pigeon Pokemon turned around and looked at the trainer. "Ma-me!"

"Hey," Grey asked. "I never did ask your name. I'm Grey, by the way."

 

"Whatever, I think I could handle a petty thief...Even those DeepShadow goons have nothing on me! Ha!"

Dahlia then looked at Ares. "Now, I need you to perform a favor...I'm assuming you saw that massive amount of fire coming from that forest near Stevent? I need you to investigate it. You think you can do that? Because if you can't..."

Solrock burst from the pokeball it was contained in, seemingly knowing what to do next. "...You know what will happen. You saw what I did to those grunts."

"Hmph, a dead-end..." Tyran was annoyed. He couldn't find anyone here who knew much about the Charmander trainer. He needed a bigger lead. He knew this was where he was from, he just needed to know his name...

"Well, no matter, let's leave. Come on, Skarmory. We no longer have any business here...But I must find out where he got that Pokemon..."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Jackson." He replied as Rotom sent himself into the battle without being asked, "And yeah, it's not only that Rotom's got the clear advantage over your guys, it's more that I still haven't found a name worthy of Burmy yet." His Poke Ball twitched again, as if the Bug knew they were talking about him, "OK then, Rotom, start this off easy. Just give him a quick little Confuse Ray" Rotom sighed and mumbled about his Trainer's cautiousness and did as he was told, shooting a purple beam of electricity at Mamepato.

 

"Only if said petty thief was sloppy enough to wake you." Ares replied, holding up a single necklace dangling from his index and middle fingers, "I lifted this off your jewelery box a couple houses back." He explained, setting it down on her table, "I figure'd you'd have missed it by now, but I guess I was wrong." He plopped down on the couch, oblivious of Solrock, "So, you sleep with his Ball under your pillow?" He asked, finally acknowledging the Pokemon, "Never would have pegged you for the kind to need a security blanket."

"Mamepato, move out of the way!" Mamepato flew upward, but the beam ended up hitting Grey.

"O-okeydokey...Use...Use...A...A...Aer...Aeroblast?" Mamepato looked quizzically at Grey for a moment, then realizaed what he was saying and performed an Aerial Ace, zooming toward Rotom with white energy streaming behind it. He aimed to hit Rotom in the face.

"Shut up, or I'll have you fired! Hey, wait..." Dahlia leaned in close, right in Ares' face. "Why'd you take my necklace, eh? Is there something you're not telling me?"

She pulled back and laughed, brushing her hair out of her face. "Honestly, I don't get you...Still, get out now and go check out that flare! I'll pay you double if you can bring the source back to me. I know you're not one for stealing Pokemon, but..." She leaned in close again, pouting. "For me? Please?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Rotom, there's no point in wasting your energy dodging it." Jackson said, "Just fire a Thundershock at him, it'll slow him down and weaken the blow!" Rotom nodded and a lightning ball lashed out of each of his electrical hands, aimed to connect with Mamepato's wings at the shoulders while he took the Aerial Ace attack.

 

"Yes, there's a lot I'm not telling you." Ares told her, "Such as my name, and why I was more than a little intrigued by that gold lace piece you wear to bed, though, judging by your photo albums, yellow always was your color." He hopped off the couch and placed the lips of his mask on Dahlia's cheek before heading out the door, "By the way, Doll, you can't fire me. I'm freelance." He called back, stowing his mask back inside his jacket before he crossed the threshold, though he put it back on again as soon as he entered the wooded area outside town, "Alright, boys, looks like we're gonna be working." He told his Poke Balls, "Dahlia wants me to pull a Pokenapping, but I figure our target's nothing special. Probably just some young punk that activated his Pokemon's Blaze Ability without fully comprehending what that would do to the vegetation."

[Ｄｈａｒｃ]

"Mame!" Mamepato took the hit and his wings crumpled, but he began falling. Fast. He crashed into Rotom then fell backward.

"Pretty Birdy!?"

Mamepato got up and pecked Grey on the head.

"Ow...Oh, thanks. Now, Steel Wing!"

Mamepato flapped and rose high into the air, and flew downward, his wings outstretched and glowing white. "Maaaa....ME!"

Dahlia was dumbfounded. "Uh...Uh...Okay..." Everything was just too weird. She had no idea what was going on with Ares, but she wasn't sure how she felt about it. "And I...I think you should watch out...I think that was a Blast Burn."

But Ares was already gone.

As the smoke cleared both Magby and Bronzor were standing silently, until Magby rushed towards Bronzor and as he did, his hands were on fire. "That must be Fire Punch, I guess Magby had learned a move,"James shrugged as he had forgotten about returning them, as he was thinking Magby quickly Punched Bronzor with his Fire Punch, sending Bronzor at the tree as he was knocked into it. As Magby then turned around and was happy, he was knocked into another tree by suprise when hit with an Shadow Ball. Afterwards, both Bronzor and Magby jumped off the tree they were knocked into and forgave each other, according to what James had thought as he then returned his 3 Pokemon.

 

As James looked around the woodland, he thought he had saw smoke rising from far away and fire from the distance, from there he had saw Pokemon running from there, mainly Rattatas and Weedles. He then decided to check out the fire as he stuipidly ran towards the smoke, hoping to find answers.

"Rotom, use Astonish!" Jackson shouted, trying to get Mamepato to Flinch and lose concentration before the Steel Wing hit, "Then, hit him with another Thundershock!" Rotom's electrical aura grew in size, changing from a vague outline of the Pokemon into a large dragon in the span of a second. The dragon then opened its jaws to swallow Mamepato and deliver the Thundershock in the same instant.

 

Ares, meanwhile was taking his time through the forest, twirling a bracelet around his index finger, which he also lifted from Dahlia's jewelery box at the same time as the necklace. He was always trying to find new ways to get on his 'boss's' nerves, mainly because he knew that there wasn't anything she could do about it. If he were replaceable, he wouldn't be needed, given his strict limits on what he would and would not do. Ares was the best at what he did, so, short of stopping payment altogether, there was nothing Dahlia could do to get rid of him.

Mamepato knew what was going to happen next. He closed his eyes and dove headfirst toward Rotom, tucking his wings in to achieve an even higher speed.

"Wow, he's pretty good..."

Mamepato felt the Thundershock envelop his body, but he took no notice. He knew one of them was getting knocked out soon, but not now. Sadly, he also knew which Pokemon would be knocked out, and it made him sad. He was having fun.

Tyran was once again in the room located at Lunar Ridge, this time having entered from the back, where no one ever ventures due to a large amount of Murkrow lead by a Shiny Honchkrow. Little did everyone know, he was the one who led them there, freeing them from DeepShadow.

"Now, let's see how that trainer's doing, shall we? Hm...An odd choice on his part, to pit a Mamepato against a Ro--What the hell? Oh, Astonish, of course...Hmm, that other one has trained his Plasma Pokemon well...Well, this seems to be interesting, I wonder who will win? It's a shame that trainer didn't realize Astonish is a Ghost-type move and therefore has no effect on Mamepato..."

As edmond was getting the attention of the spectator, he was distracted by a mettalic red pokemon with no legs hopping into a group of trees. He went after it. When it stopped to eat spicy berries, edmond plugged earbuds into his pokedex & scanned. Pyrean, the Rocket pokemon.Fire/Steel. The large orifice on the bottom of pyreans body blasts fire at varying intensities, allowing it to fly. "I want that pokemon! Go Shroomish & hitmonlee! Use headbutt with hitmonlee assist!" Shroomish leaped into the air, & hitmonlee kicked shroomish at pyrean, giving a speed & power boost to shroomish's headbutt. Shroomish slammed into the rocket pokemon, knocking it into a tree."Pokeball, go!" BEEP BEEP BEEP BING. At a near by pokemon center, a thought struck him. Pyrean might be able to fly him around! Pyrean approved, & edmond decided to go to Stevent for his first gym badge.While flying over a forest near stevent he saw scorched vegetation, and had Pyrean let him down in a nearby unscathed tree to watch. It was a battle between 2 trainers, 1 using a charmander,mamepeto & sandshrew((OOC:is it sandshrew?)), the other using an eevee,burmy, & rotom. When the battle ended, edmond came out of the tree to talk to the trainers.

Rotom was sent flying back by the force of the Steel Wing, though that was more due to his minimal mass than the attack itself, and his dragon head aura vanished. The Plasma Pokemon flew back to the fight and landed not far from Mamepato, his left lightning arm extended out towards the Flying-type, though instead of a point, Rotom shaped his aura into a human looking hand, "This is the most fun I've had without hijacking a washing machine." He told Mamepato, "After this is done, you should force your Trainer to travel with me.

 

Jackson simply chuckled and held out his hand for Grey as well, "So, Rotom seems to have taken a liking to your Mamepato." He mused, letting Burmy and Jeannie out of their balls, the former clinging to his left arm, the latter running circles around his legs, chasing her own tail while the plain stone around her neck bounced wildly.

 

Ares walked up behind Edmond, chuckling, "It's rude to stare." He told the Trainer, "And it's certainly rude to spy on Trainers as their battling. Go apologize to them." He commanded, giving him a less-than-gentle shove into the open, stepping out behind him later, his mask not even coming close to disguising the malice in his voice, "So," He said, his strange echoing voice sounded louder in this clearing than it had when he was standing in the trees, "Which one of you two has Blast Burn?" He asked, "I'd very much like it if you gave that Pokemon to me, so I don't have to steal it and break one of my two rules." He flicked both wrists out and three Poke Balls shot out from beneath his sleeves, two in his left hand, one in his right.

"Hello, I'm edmond,.. uh sorry i was spying, I've been watching most of your battle from that tree & i'd like to travel with you, Jackson & Grey. Aren't those your names? Oh, here are my pokemon. Maybe we should take care of this guy."Edmond turned & released all 4 pokemon.

"Hmph. Alright, let's get to know eachother a little better. Come on out, Sandshrew, Charmander. Sandshrew was jubilant and clung to Grey's face. "Get off, get off!" Sandhrew jumped off and smiled. He looked over at the other Pokemon and immediately hugged Jeannie, for whatever reason. "Sandshrew, stop--Eh?"

Grey finally noticed the other two. There was a man with a mask and a kid with a Hitmonlee, Cyndaquil, Shroomish, and some unknown Pokemon shaped like a rocket. "I was the one that used Blast Burn, and know, you can't have my Charmander!" He looked down at the little lizard, who was only marginally better than when he was sent back. "Charmander...I'll protect you! Alright, Mamepato, Sandshrew, get ready! Hey Jackson, you wanna get in on this?"

 

"Oh, what's this? A mysterious man with a mask...Hmm, well, this will be interesting...And Blast Burn would explain the scorched area...Hmm, well, if those two are in too much trouble, I might as well step in. That mysterious man seems strong..."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Of course." Jackson said, recalling Burmy and placing Rotom on his shoulder, "Jeannie, sense you and Charmander didn't get a proper conclusion to your fight earlier, I figure you've more than earned this match."

 

"YIPPIE! YAY! HOORAY! That'ssoawesome! I'msohappyrightnow!! ComeonCharmanderwecanwinthiseasilydon'tyouthink?!" The Eevee asked, tackling the Fire-type Lizard Pokemon. The entirety of her speech consisted merely of "Vee! Ee! Vee!!!!!!"

 

"Heh, a Triple Battle, huh?" Ares asked, throwing out all three of his Pokemon, making the small clearing they were in feel somewhat crowded. Without being prompted, Houndour and Solrock both flanked Ivysaur, with Solrock on the right and Houndour on the left, "OK, new guy, pick your Pokemon wisely and recall the rest." He said, his echoing voice even quieter, though he hadn't changed his pitch at all.

"Charmander, I don't know, but....I think you can do this. So come on. Alright, Jackson, you take Houdour. New Guy, you get Solrock. I'll take Ivysaur. Bow, Charmander, Dragon Rush!" Charmander leaned forward and ran headfirst toward Ivysaur. A blue-green aura formed around him as he ran, and he eventually became totally cloaked in it, now almost invisible beneath it. Right before he made contact with Ivysaur, he shouted "Charman...DER!" (*Now take....THIS!*)

"Hmm...Seems like this will be interesting...And that Charmander sure seems powerful...Dragon Rush...That had to have required some selective breeding...And that Eevee is quite enrgetic, even for being so hurt. And Charmander is quite determined despite his injuries. Yes, these two are indeed powerful...I will have to watch them carefully...Starting now."

With that, Tyran left through the back entrance and called out Charizard, who was nearly impossible to see against the night sky aside from his wings and underbelly because of his shininess. "Now, let's head to Stevent Woods. I have some important business there..."

Charizard roared and shot a burst of black fire into the air ((OOC: Not a new attack, the fire he breathes is just black.))

[Blackwing-Master]

Jake walked outside the town, but noticed the murkrow was no where to be found. "Crap, wonder where it went." Jake turned back around, noticing Mudkip had just then caught up with him. Jake picked Mudkip up and walked back to town, waling strait to the Pokemon Center. Shoule have come here first, but that Murkrow... He pulled out Mudkips Pokeball and returned him, then handing the Pokeball to the Nurse Joy behind the counter. Soon after, she handed him back the Pokeball. He walked out, releasing Mudkip from the Pokeball. As Jake left, he noticed a orange dot that looked as if surrounded by water aproaching him, getting bigger as it approached. The dot turned out to be a Buizel using Aqua Jet aimed right at Jake. Mudkip jumped right up, using Ice Beam on the Buizel, causing the water to freeze and for it to slowly fall to the ground right infront of Jake and Mudkip.

Ivysaur deftly leaped out of the way of Charmander's Dragon Rush and Solrock intercepted the attack with Confusion. "What part of this situation made you think you had any semblance of control over the opponents?" Ares asked, grinning audibly under his mask, "No, you're just victims. Bystanders that got in the way." He singled out Jackson and Edmond and nodded, "You two are free to leave. I have no qualms with you, Rotom, and your Pokemon. You may leave now with my word that I will not kill your friend or his Pokemon."

 

Jackson, meanwhile, was too focused on his and Jeannie's fight with Houndour to notice that Grey switched opponents.

 

"Comebackhereyoulittlepuppy!" Jeannie shouted, her entire body a single shade of pink from her Return attack, "I'mgonnakickyourfurryblackbuttforinterruptingJackson'smatchagainstthisguy! Itwasjustgettinggoodtooyoulittlepunk!" She fell back a few feet to dodge the demonic dog's Ember, "God,someonegetmeanewspaper! Youdeserveagoodswatonthenose."

"Hey, wait! Grah ((OOC: That's Grey's/my catchphrase now)), Now what'll I...Oh, I know! Sandshrew, use Gyro Ball on Solrock! Mamepato, use Aerial Ace on Ivysaur! And now, I'll take YOU out, GRAAAAAAH!" Grey ran forward as his other Pokemon attacked and punched at the masked man, aiming to break his mask apart.

 

"Dammit, ya bloody wanker, you were supposed to turn LEFT at Soldore, but you had to go right, didn't you? You're lucky I don't hate you." Tyran was annoyed he couldn't find the kid. That man seemed like he was going to be trouble. And it was all Charizard's fault. He just wouldn't listen, for whatever reason. He knew the way to Stevent Woods, but he turned the opposite way for whatever reason. He better have bloody damn good reason when they land.

As James was running towards the site where he saw smoke from, as he entered that part of the Stevent Woods, he saw the Trainers, "What's going on now ?"James questioned pointing at the fire, James had no clue of what happened so he contiuned to question, "So, which of you four did this ?" James also questioned to Grey, Jackson, Edmond and Ares ,"And finaly, what's your names ? Im James Johnson," James then paused as he was trying to think of more questions, so he then decided to watch the Triple Battle, afterwards, he planned to ask more questions.

"I think i'll choose you pyrean! Use Giga Impact on Ivysaur!" Pyrean rocketed towards Ivysaur.It suddenly dawns on Edmond the chaos of the situation.Chaos exhiliarates him.

"Just leaving your new friend out of the fight?" Ares asked, catching Grey's fist with his own hand and squeezing it, letting Grey know that, if he wanted, the masked man could probably break his wrist, "Now, please, give me your Charmander so I don't have to kidnap you. I would really appreciate not having to kidnap you." The masked criminal shoved Grey back a few feet and calmly appraised his three Pokemon.

 

Ivysaur and Solrock had traded partners before the attacks connected and then countered with their own most powerful moves. Solrock's eyes closed as his purple Psychic aura shot into the ground, wrapping around the largest subterranean boulder he could lift and shooting it up out of the ground at Mamepato, while Ivysaur's leaves started glowing and shot straight for Sandshrew.

 

Houndour and Jeannie, meanwhile, were fighting neck and neck, with Jeannie's Return and Houndour's Fire Fang perfectly countering each other's every move.

Sandshrew stopped in the middle of the air, unable to keep going forward because of the Leaf Storm. However, its spinning kept most of the leaves from doing major damage.

Mameapto wasn't so lucky. The rock hit dead-on, knocking him out. He fell to the ground.

"Grah! Mamepato!" Grey returned Mamepato to his Pokeball. He then noticed Chamander struggling to get up after Solrock dropped him. "Charmander, you t--!"

Charmander glowed bright white as his form began to change into....Charmeleon!

Charmeleon unleashed a primal roar and then his tail flared up immensely as his eyes began glowing red. He had activated Blaze! Then, he shot a massive jet of fire from his maw at Ivysaur, totally destroying the burnt grass it touched in its wake.

((And zzuxon, that's a warning. One more thing like that and you WILL be banned.))

Jeannie shoved Houndour a couple meters away when she noticed Charmander's evolution "GAH! Thatissonotfair! WhydoyougettoevolveandI'mstuckwiththisthingaroundmyneck?!" She asked, flicking her Everstone with her tail, "Jackson,assoonasI'mdonewiththisHoundour,we'regonnahavewords,Ihopeyouknowthat!" Even as angry as she was, she never slowed down from her mile-a-minute speech patterns. In fact, she managed to channel her envy and jealousy towards Charmeleon into her battle with Houndour, which she took to with a renewed resolve. "You'resoscrewedrightnow,puppy!"

 

Ivysaur's Razor Leaf abruptly stopped as the dinosaur started spitting seeds out of his mouth into the ground, where they immediately sprouted into parasitic leaves that attached themselves to Sandshrew, leeching away his life force with every passing minute while Solrock's Confusion intercepted the powerful Flamethrower as the Rock-type tried to disorient the Fire-type enough to have his attack swirl around towards Sandshrew or himself. However, he also positioned himself directly between the fire stream and Ivysaur in case he failed.

Grey returned Sandshrew after he was stopped by the Leach Seed. " Grah...Alright, Charmeleon, I think you know what to do now, don't you?" Charmeleon turned toward Grey and nodded.

"Alright, Jackson, New Guy, stand back. Charmeleon, BLAST BURN!" Charmeleon reared his head back and unleashed a loud and menacing primal roar before his body was bathed in flames, which erupted outward and upward, destroying all in their wake. Grey jumped back at the last second to avoid being roasted alive. He was sure this would work.

James had stepped back even though he was behind them, he then figured that it was the Charmeleon that caused the Fire, he was impressed yet angry about being ignored, "Hello, is anyone going to notice me." James shouted as he contiuned, "What is even going on ? Will someone explain this to me, im puzzled from witnessing this." James wondered as he then anylized the Trainers and was heavily thinking in his head about strategy he will plan to use against the 1st Gym Leader, all he knew was the 1st Gym Leader was an Eletrick Type Gym Leader so he needed to be prepared.
