The Kerikoi Clan[Started/Still Accepting][Advanced Clause][Action/Romance][PG-16]

"Ts_...baki...my love...i...ngh.." He clutched at the side of his head wrestling back control from Tsukuyomi. (You're starting to IRRITATE me little brother...) Tsukuyomi said hissing as he slid back into Susano'os subconsious. (Remember...i can control you any...time..i...want) "Reina...i...Soul?...wh-what am i doing here?" He asked the two of them as he gripped the sides of his head with a splitting headache and then he realized what had happend. "I...im sorry to both of you"

Reina stared at him. "Don't be sorry. No one was hurt. Uh...sir? Can I talk to you in private when you get a chance?" Reina decided to finally tell him. She didn't want to hide it anymore. She wanted to help put some how. Reina stares at him. What was going on with him? She knew Soul was probably upset that their date was ruined but she wanted to do something other than sit around doing nothing.

Perhaps a grand total of five hundred meters from this little grouping of Kerikois, a figure was levitating about twenty meters off the ground. The figure might have appeared rather unimpressive if the circumstances were different, as he was dressed in clothes that marked him as one who did not have much in the way of funds. He wore a pair of blue jeans and a sleeveless white T-shirt. On his feet were a pair of worn brown combat boots and over his shoulders he wore an old and torn brown jacket and around his neck was a necklace with a simple green crystal upon it and an old pair of large flight goggles. However, one thing made it obvious exactly who he was, aside from the slight build, tanned skin, dirty blonde hair, and bright yellow eyes. On his right hand, a massive mechanical black gauntlet covered almost all of his fore-arm. A large set of what appeared to be pistons rested atop it, and the fronts of these pistons glowed bright red with chaotic power. On his left hand, a gauntlet identical in shape and form covered almost the entire forearm. This one, however, was of white metal and the fronts of the pistons glowed bright blue with the mysterious power known as justice. This was none other than John Blackmoore, leader of the Chano Clan. He was paying keen attention to how Susano'o seemed to have lost control of himself for a brief moment. His face showed anger and hatred, but at the same time a sort of bizarre interest in the happenings.

 

"Now...this's interestin' 'ere. Looks like the lad's gone an' los' control...interestin'..."

[The D.M.]

Susano'o nodded. "Very well Reina...what is it you need to talk about? and where would you prefer?" Susano'o asked feeling very somber for what had just occured. Or...almost occured. Meanwhile within the confines of his mind Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi convened.

 

"Big Brother...surely you have sensed it?" Amaterasu asked lazily playin with a curl of her firey red hair "Yes Sister...i have sensed the presence of the Celestial Boundry Unit Clone...strangley enough i thought we werent going to find any trace of one without fighting Dark Raiden." Tsukuyomi said shaking his head in approval. "But we do not know the nature of this unit." Amaterasu ammended "We will have to observe through Susano'o how powerful the Magus units influence is on this one."

"Somewhere where no one can bother us if that's okay." She hoped it was. Sir, if you can hear me please don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone to know cause of the chaos that would be started cause of my power to read minds and talk to people this way. I thought it would be important to tell you this. I feel so helpless and know that me being new I have to prove myself to the clan. If I can be of any help please let me know. I came here to help out not sit around while everyone works. I'm not weak. I can work to. Reina spoke inside of his mind hoping it worked.

Blackmoore sighed quietly, deciding against making an attack move at the moment due to the fact that there were three Kerikois and only him. He shook his head slightly and turned back in the direction of the Chano clan's headquarters, stealing a glance back at the Kerikois, renewing his vow of vengeance mentally. He then took off at high speed towards the Chano Headquarters, fast enough for him to arrive there in a few minutes. He clenched his fists, the metal of Cain and Able grinding against itself as he did and producing a mechanical whining as they followed his movements. It wouldn't be long until he came into eye shot of the Headquarters, and likely his apprentice would see him very quickly. He had much to discuss with the young lad.

After venturing around the Chano clan, Sano once again found hiimself meditating in front of the Koi pond. Why he found this place so calming was beyond him, but he was always able to calm his mind when there. He opened his eyes revealing cobalt black eyes as he stood up facing the entrance to the clan. "He's finally on his way back....." Sano was suddenly gone from his spot, but not because of some type of power. No, it was only beacuse of his speed. The speed that many years of hard, dangerous, and life threatening training provided him with. It less than two minutes he was at the entrance intending to great their leader. It was only befitting he do so. Besides, he should let him know the three missions he assigned to him were completed and no one would be able to trace the murders back to their clan. He looked down, almost sadly. Sano was very good at his job but no matter how hard they tired to beat the emotion of guilt out of him it always came back.

 

Sano wondered if when it was the Kerikoi clan would he be able to fight his sister. "Hn, never...."

After a few moments, Blackmoore came to the entrance of the Chano Clan, a wide smile on his face as he beheld his apprentice. He stopped in mid-air, still levitating just about a meter off the ground as he studied the lad, looking for any sign of something amiss in him. Finding nothing, he smiled even more widely as he came to cease his levitation and stand upon the ground before him. A hearty laugh escaped his lips as he moved to clap the boy on the right shoulder a bit harder than he had meant to, having briefly forgotten his strength. After doing so, he began to walk into the Headquarters, motioning with his hand for Sano to follow him. He placed his arms behind his back and grasped one mechanical fist with the other one as he walked in a slow, almost military pace.

 

"It's good ta see ya again Lad. Considerin' that yer here and not dead, I'm going to assume that the missions i sent ya on were a success. Anotha fine job, lad. I'm startin' ta wonder what I'd do without ya. Aside from that, 'ave ya found any more prospects te join our cause?"

[The D.M.]

Susano'o nodded. "I see...very well...you will be put on more missions from now on Reina...now for your first one." Susano'o said looking out to the horizon. "Is your post now as a lookout. If you can manage spreading your talent across a range you can hear our enemies coming even if they dont make a noise." He said with a smirk. "You're our 1st warning system Reina...our ultimate defense against incoming enemy spies and forces." Susano'o said with pride in her. "Do you accept your charge? 1st Captain Of the Guard Reina Kerikoi?"

Reina nodded and smiled. "Yes sir!" She finally got a job. Reina looked at him and Soul. "Thank you so much sir. I will do my best." Was Soul going to be upset about her getting the job? Would that pull her away from him now? Or would they still get to be together? Reina started to ask herself these questions. She kept watchign them wondering if she made the right choice.

Kakeru slowly stood up with his head down, "This, is something I cannot do..." Kakeru walked down towards a closed room, "I cannot tell them, their hearts would be ruined, I would not let myself live... But..." Kakeru stopped at the door. "I'm already being controlled, the Gods warned me of this..." Kakeru slowly reached his hand into the door hand slot, he took a deep breath, "I can cleanse my soul of this right now, and..." Kakeru stood there in battle with his thoughts.

Sano looked up when Blackmore arrived quickly putting on his poker face. The slap on the shoulder was unexpected as he stumbled forward as to not fall face down. He quickly caught up to Blackmore falling into step next by him. "Yes, the missions are completed. The only one I had problems with was the last one....He posed a slight problem, but in the end he was taken out as well. As for the recrutes, I have a few hopefuls. If they can get through the redesigned obstical course, curtesy of me, with out getting maimed or dying then they too will be joining our clan. I have also spoken to the Madamori Family. They have agreed to send funds our way to pay for anything we need along the line of new weapons and anything else. Like always they do now know our location and I have arranged a meeting point that would be a four day journey considering they ran the entire way." The whole time he spoke he kept a monotone voice, once expanding his powers to check for any unwanted brain activity before quickly pulling back as he was bombarded with voices from the other clan members.

Soul was glad that Reina had a job.He wasn't understanding the conversation much so he just stood there in silence.He wasn't very sad that there date was ruined.They were already together anyways.He then looked at Susano'o and faintly smiled forgetting about what happened a while ago."Ummm...Sir....Is there anything you would like me to do?"Before he could awnser he walked of but before that he said "If so...I'll be on the mountain."He had gotten to the mountain abput 20 minutes later and sat on a branch in the only tree that was on the mountain.He saw everything from up here.But he then thought if he would ever see Reina's smile again.What if she got hurt.Or what if her having a job prevented them from seeing each other.He sighed still sitting in the peach tree.He felt lonely.As if nobody was going to come near him.Most people often avoided him as if he was a monster.As if he had killed inosent people.

Blackmoore nodded approvingly, his eyes lighting up as he heard about Sano's changes to the obstacle course. However, he seemed to tighten up slightly at the mention of the Madamori family at first, but quickly relaxed and continued along his way through the headquarters. He remained silent for a few moments, considering what it was that Sano had told him. He then stopped suddenly, turning his head to look the young man in the eyes, a wide smile on his face as he did so. He then continued to move along his way through the Chano Clan before speaking.

 

"Excellent lad, financial suppert'll make thin's much easier in the future. Now, would ya mind showin' me the new obstacle course? Ah'd like ta see if it's more...challengin' than the last un."

(Sorry people, a lot has happened in the last week to me...)

 

"Hey," he said as she turned around, "How are you? I haven't seen you in a while." He looked at her clothes. "You look nice," he said glad to see that someone in the clan also was dressed in something that they could fight in in case there was an attack. And also because he truly meant it. He loved to be around her. She was always nice to him and was one of the few people in the clan that talked to him. He loved the way she always looked and how she was nice to everyone. In general he loved her, but he didn't know if she felt the same way, so he kept his feelings for her hidden.I hope I won't make a fool of myself....

"Heh, I'm doing pretty good. This festival is really fun, and I was just on my way to congradulate Susano'o on doing the play earler. It was very entertaining." Mitsuya giggled a bit before it turned to a blush when he complimented her outfit. "Thanks. I don't think I'm that good with picking out outfits....But...I'm glad you like it, Zain." She kept her head down still blushing not expecting him to say that. She wondered why she always felt like blushing whenever she was with Zain. Her heart was beating like she just ran a marathon. When she first met him she remembered that he was kind of an outcast but he was a nice guy so Mitsuya could never understand that. Over time she was looking forward to talking to him....She wasn't sure what to call this feeling.

 

"So...Where were you heading?"

 

~Chano Clan~

 

Sano nodded when Blackmoore praised him and requested to see the new course. "Of course master. Please come this way." He said as they made their way to the designated training area for the new recrutes. "The first thing you will notice is the lack of the smell of smoke. Seeing as no one liked the smell or cleaning up dead burnt bodies, I removed the poles of flame throwers and replaced them with arrows. However, these arrors are laced with a special posion that I made myself. If they are hit then they have a window of 10 minutes to get to the end where there is an antidote to the poison." He stopped a good distance away watching the handfull of potential new recruits. "If they make it through the arrows, then they'll have to navigate their way across a 25 foot acid bath. I made sure the containment wont leak. Anyways, they'll have to jump from one metal for to the next, each one the size of a quarter. I thought we'd keep the spike attack....It was actually one of my favorites. As long as they can dodge the spikes being thrown at them then they'll be fine."

 

"Lastly I figured out a use for the spies, and prisoners we have. We hear them both up, just to be fair, and let the prisoner and the recruit fight to the death. If the recruit win then they pass. If they lose then.....Well it's obvious what happens. The prisoner is either set free, or gets 'special' treatment in their cells. Depending on the seriousness of their crime. By special treatments I mean a pardon from the days torture or an extra meal.....I know it's shorter than the last but I felt it was twice as hard as the last. What do you think?.....Is it up to your standards?"

Blackmoore once more nodded approvingly as he saw the new course. He remained quite silent, however, and he seemed to be tracing the length of the course with his mind, going over every single inch of it as if he was running it himself. After a few moments, he turned to face Sano, his face quite emotionless for a time as he tried to make his apprentice tense. After a few moments though he laughed aloud and was about to clap the lad on the shoulder again, only to remember his strength and place his hands at his sides.

 

"Lad, I 'ave to say it's better 'n I thought it was gonna be. We've been needin' somethin' a bit more challenging than the old course and, well, thank ya fer gettin' rid of the flame throwers. Probably the worst idea I've ever 'ad was puttin' 'em in 'ere. A 'course, the smell never really goes away, but it's gonna be a lot lighter. However, I'm a bit concerned about this. The way ya worded it made it sound like there was only enough antidote for one recruit to use, that true?"

As Sano silently wondered if the course was good enough he started to get a bit worried. He hoped he hadn't done anything to anger Blackmoore by removing a lot of the older obsticals. Sano was relaxed under his gaze, but in his mind he was running himself ragged with questions. The last thing he expected was for Blackmoore to start laughing, which caused Sano's perfect poker face to drop momentarily as shock replaced it. "U-um....Yes sir..." He mumbled not really knowing what else to say. Although he was grateful that he remembered his strength and didn't pat his shoulder again. Sano wasn't sure if he could take another one.

 

Then the question on the antidote came up and a strange glint came to Sano's eyes. "Well....I though I'd have a little fun. There can only be on true winner....But none of them should allow them selves to be hit by the arrows in the first place. You can't allow for mistakes on a mission, and any dead weight is to be left behind and forgotten...." He said repeating what he was taught. True he still kept a bit of his humanity just in case he ever met up with his sister again....But.....He was raised and taught to believe that the Chano clan's way was the right way.

Blackmoore nodded approvingly at his apprentice's answer, yet at the same time his mind was buzzing with all sorts of new ideas on how to use the course. For a few moments, he was quite literally lost in thought and just kept staring off into space, before remembering where he was and what he had been doing. He brought his right hand up and coughed into his fist, before removing a clean cloth and wiping the few bits of saliva that had been spattered over Cain's surface. Now returning his gaze to Sano, he made a motion for him to follow as he calmly left the recruit practice area, heading for the direction of the Headquarters' dining hall. A quiet growl of his stomach revealed the reason for which he was making his way in that direction.

 

"Excellent answer lad. I'm glad te see ya 'aven't fergotten my teachin's. I expect that the number of recruits who 'appen te make it through the course'll be goin' down just based on 'ow fast an arrow flies. Now then, let's get somethin' te eat, I'm cookin'."

Zain saw her blush. She always seems to blush when she's around me...."I think your great at picking outfits Mitsuya, they look good on you, and you are still able to fight in them. I can't say the same for anyone else in the clan," This is going good, I haven't made a fool of myself yet.....lets hope it stays that way... "Well, I was on my way to get something to eat, but then I saw you so I figured I'd say hello"

Susano'o left. He felt as though he needed to take a walk. So he did...outside Kerikoi Clan Borders. Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi for some reason didnt bother him here. It was only when he was with the clan they raised a fuss. "Guess they dont want me making a connection here after all." He said to himself as he felt his Chi return to him as Amaterasu released it. "Gods...what is happening to me...When im with them,,,i can feel my mind slipping from me. But alone i can reason." He stood alone with his thoughts as he conversed with the empty air around him. And why can i not shake the feeling that i cannot keep running from my past....oh yea...because i can't" He said to himself sarcastically and shaking his head from side to side.

Sano allowed a small smile before following his master. "I would be honored to join you master." After a bit of walking his curiosity finally got the better of him. He had been wondering what he had been doing this whole time he's been gone. Normally Sano woud be greated by his master as soon as the mission was over but this time he had not been there. "Master...." He started, "If I can....May I ask where you were today? It was strange to not be greated by you sir." Sano admitted once again checking servailence with his powers before waiting for his master to reply.

 

~Kerikoi Clan~

 

Mitsuya smiled, "Oh, well how about I join you!? I hadn't really eaten. I was too busy thinking about Sano, and this whole fude between our clans. I kind of wish we weren't apart of these clans but I guess you can't do anythng to change what's done. Besides I wouldn't have been able to meet you or the others." Mistuya suddenly stopped scratching the back of her head, "Sorry, rambling again. I can't help but do that sometimes. Anyway, what were you going to eat? By the way.....You look very good yoursef." She mumbled the last part giving a wide but shy grin.

"Sure, you can join me, although I haven't figured out what I was going to get, so why don't you choose?" Zain's stomach growled. Man, I am starving! Oh well, at least I'll have someone to eat with for a change... "I'm glad that you are a part of this clan," he said with a smile,"although I could do without the constant threat of attack from the Chano clan. I don't understand why we just can't live in peace." He heard Mitsuya mumble that he looked nice. "and thanks," he said scratching the back of his head.

Mistuya thought for a while before smling, "How about we just go to the ramen stand?" She said pointing over her shoulder at the stand she emerged from a fe seconds before she ran into Zain. "I mean it's the closest and the cheapest thing around here. Then afterwards we can go get some icecream, and some of fried sugar balls. I think they called them donuts....They said they had them for a while but Ive never tasted them before." She said ending with a quick glance at Zain. "That is if you want to of course."
