Valarie grabbed her staff from its place against the wall. She yellled up at her brother, who was currently upstairs. "Come on Jason, hurry up! You're slower then me to get ready!" She called, her accent thick. She was the only one in her family who had this kind of accent. Her brother didn't have one, her moher didn't, nor did her father. It was just there. She didn't even know what kind of accent it was. "Have you heard about these strange Portals they're talking about? Appparently there are some strange dissapearances all around Reiolex."

Jake is still asleep in his house. His parents, brothers and sisters getting ready for a hard day of work. No one dares to wake him from his sleep. A few hours later he finally wakes up, when he falls out of bed. He curses then stands up. After a minute of searching he knows everyone has left. He thinks "ok where is the bread." He finds the bread and sees it is moldy. He then picks up the bread and throws it outside, witch it burst in to flames.

Selene was up early, stroking her dragon cerise. She conjured up some food for it but then she needed to get going; it was already late in the morning.

She threw on the appropriate robe for a sorceress and stepped outside, and began the walk to..

Well, to wherever she was going.

Cerise flew along side her, emitting happy little rumbles. cerise was an outdoor dragon.

High in the mountains, Eirwen was woken by the breaking of dawn. She let Bran go to find some suitable breakfast, whilst she set about getting some for herself. The pass she was in had a type of berry which was very filling, and also rather sweet, which she knew meant it would be longer before her body needed her to eat. Having made a decent meal of the berries, she set to work collecting various plants from the pass. Some more of the berries would do for meals later in the day, or the next one. There were a number of useful herbs growing on the valley sides, as well as a useless but very rare plant that several stores in the larger cities would pay huge amounts for, hoping to themselves sell it on to rich idiots who thought it did something. Still, if the idiots gave her enough money to live in for a month, even if she took to the city and bought everything, who was she to complain.

Shortly after, Bran returned. As the Pegasus rested, the girl filled up her water-skins and gathered up everything she was taking with her, before mounting up. Bran flexed his wings, and then with powerful strokes pushed off from the ground, climbing upwards, before gliding down out of the pass.

((Twin_souls, that was a shortpost...it's 4+lines. I'm not trying ot minimod, but seeing as Jeroukoo or pegasasu both aren't online I thought I should let you know...))

Selene walked along down the street at a face, brisk pace, her dragon resting firmly on her shoulder and her robes billowing out behind her from the morning wind.

She smiled as she entered a familiar stall in the marketplace and bought some food, cheap and good. She began to eat while walking, and feeding her dragon as well. She wondered where to go today.

She knew where all the good herbs were; in the mountains. But she knew tha taother sorcerer lived there and she wasnt' sure what her reaction would be...

ooc: Thank you Dark.

Jason quickly came down the stairs, his staff in hand and backpack on, ready to go out on their little adventure. Valarie, for some reason unknown to Jason, wanted to go to Dusk Forest today with Jason. At first, Jason did not approve of them leaving and going into the forest, mainly because he did not know why they were but was then convinced by Valarie to go. Her reason? The evidence behind the rumors of the man snake living inside the forest. Many people had gone missing in the forest for uknown reasons, even search parties had disapeared like nothing. Valraie said that they might be able to find the missing people and get reconginzed by the Sorrcer Academy for their achievements. And that would definetly put their names in history.

Selene finished her breakfast and continued at a brisk pace on for about twenty minutes. For normal people, walking like this would be tiring and by the time they got to the base of the mountain they would be huffing and puffing and panting.

But not her.

She began to take one of the long paths around, looking for specific herbs she might need. Kingsfoil, Succulenti Armeius, et cetera.

They would be easy to find, and maybe she could teleport them back...though on the few times she tried, she kind of overshot.

"No it's"

"Dont pretend dad i kno-"

"no you dont."

"I know you want to kick me out of the house because i dont have a dragon"

his dad starts yelling "YOU THINK THAT"

Jake shouts back "YEAH"

"THEN YOU ARE OUT NOW GET YOUR THINGS AND LEAVE. I WANT YOU GONE BY THE TIME I GET HOME"

Jake freezes not believing what happened. After Jake's brain catches up, he nods and walks out of the store.

Valarie was excited. She was fit to burst with excitement. They were going to Dusk Forest today. They would find the truth behind the unexplained disapearences. They would become famous, their names would be honored in the history boks decades from now. "But first, Jason, we have to find just a couple more people to go with us. I don't want this to be too cliche, 'ya know?" Valarie said, walking around the marketplace in her light blue robes.

Vestal was at the market place doing what he supposed he usually did; loiter around and wait until someone shoos him away. He looked at his robes and said, "I hate these robes, they're too- I'll think of a word later." Man, I wish I could call Sariix to me, but, the mass chaos would ensue, Vestal thought before he started humming what he thought was a gloomy, tune. "Dissappearances, et cetera, why do I feel like investigating? Meh, I'll do it when someone tells me too," he said buying some breakfast.

Valarie whistled loudly, a sharp noise, causing people to turn their heads and look at her. And the dragon that was flying towards her. She stroked his ice-blue neck softly, cooing to him. It was pretty normal for a Sorceress to just randomly signal for her dragon to fly over to her. Valarie looked around trying to find omone who looked like that they wanted to go with her and explore Dusk Forest, and find out the secret to the dissaperances. She spotted a boy, a Sorcerer, she assumed. He seemed like he wanted to explore. It just came to her. She didn't know why Sorceress instinct? Nah. Valarie walked over to the boy. "Hi! I'm Valarie! Do you want to-" Valarie lowered her voice- "-explore Dusk Forest?"

"Exploring. Dusk Forest. Exploring. Sure, I'll go," Vestal said to the girl who had called her dragon and immediatly started to talk to him, "wait I'll get my dragon." He shot a flame high into the air and made it flash out. Minutes later his dragon, Sariix came to him, he patted it's snout and rubbed it's scales, before saying something random to it and looked at the girl again, "My name's Vestal and this is Sariix, what's your names?"

"Good!" Valarie said aloud, and then she lowered her voice once more. "You know, my brother and I Jason, already have a theory on these dissaperances, you know." Valarie said, and then she continued to speak. "They say there's a Lizard-Man in Dusk Forest. We think that he is the main reason for all of the strange things that have been happening around Reiolex." She said in an ominous tone. Then, she stopped whispering, and spoke aloud, very cheerfully. "Vestal and Sarrix? Hello!" Valarie said, and then she pointed to herself and her dragon. "I'm Valarie, and this is my dragon, Whimseix!"

"So you thnk lizardman, well I just made up a theory five minutes ago, my theory is that there is a portal to another dimension with demons and angels and all that other stuff," Vestal said, "yeah not really a good theory." He looked Whimseix over, and said to Valerie, "so, who else is coming other than you, me, and your brother Jason?" He looked around the marketplace, "So, if there is a lizardman, how do you think it kidnaps victims, 'cause its a lizard, and it's kidnapping sorcerers, sorceresses, templars, herbalists, and all that? Not very realistic for a lizard."

Selene kept walking, looking around and picking up whatever herbs she needed. She planned to make a tonic soon, and that would bring in a lot of money. Usually she didn't value her potions by money, but she was running short...

She kept walking.

Cerise was flying by her, and took care of the preserving of the herbs by freezing them and packing them away in a bag with her claws.

"Actually, it could be a pretty good theory. Maybe you're right, but instead of a super-race that is more advanced than us, do you think that maybe WE are the super-race, and the ones on the other side of the portal a lowlife maybe?" Valarie asked inquisitivly. She turned to her brother Jason. "Acutally, I think Lizard-Man isn't a demon. I think that he's just some strange hybrid or something!" Valarie said, getting even more excited by each minute. "So he's not tiny like a real lizard. Maybe he's like the size of a man, with like... Lizard characteristics."

"Its probably more of an animal posesed by a demon, the more I think about it." Jason was not looking at the newcomer, but staring off in the sky. "Taking the folk who wander into the forest. Sacrifices maybe, minions, could be a lot of things. Doesn't really matter what it is, we know there is going to be some fighintg and names in the record books. Who knows what could happen?" Jaosn looked at Vestal, now paying attention to him. "So you think you got what it takes to kill the guy and save some people?"

Jake with his head down walks to the house and picks up all things that belong to him and goes to the nearest forest ,Dusk forest. He flys there over the templars with his mom's pegasus. After shoeing it away he to find a place to make camp. As he finds a small cave and crawls in it. Inside it he finds a large pocket and thinks "Great spot." He goes out side and sees his stuff destroyed by a big bear. He shoots fire at the bear and it runs away. Jake thinks "Just one of those days" picking up all the salvageable things. He found a few scraps of bread, few pieces a fruit and a pillow. He sighs.

Bran glided down out of the mountains only to nearly collide with an ice dragon. Beating his feathery wings quickly, the pegasus managed to climb over the lizard, before holding his position so that Eirwen could see what was happening. It seemed a sorceress was collecting herbs for whatever reason - most likely, she suspected, to avoid the prices the retailers in the city would charge. Observing her, the herbalist noted that the other was proficient, but was straying too close to an area when the soil made the herbs that grew their poisonous. As even a herbalist would struggle to see the difference, the sorceress probably wouldn't notice a thing, so Eirwen decided to act, pulling out a small packet, wrapped in leaves and with string hanging from it, and what looked like a tinder-box. When she opened the box, a small flame appeared inside, which she used to light the string before throwing the packet into the air. With a loud bang, it detonated.

"Don't go any further!" Eirwen shouted, as Bran dropped towards the ground.

Selene jumped up and rounded on the other sorceress and grimly packed the herbs she knew were good away in a bag. "Oh hello, sorceress of this mountain," she said coolly. "I'm sorry for infringing upon your territory, but I meant to gather some herbs. I was just about finished...nice dragon, by the way."

Apparently Cerise hd taken a liking to the dragon, and was currently chasing it around, a rumbling sound in her throat of which Selene knew was amusement.

(FYI Eirwen is a herbalist, meaning she has a pegasus and no magic, but more knowledge of plants and stuff.)

Bran landed, and Eirwen hopped lightly off. "I don't care about territory or anything like that," she replied, walking towards the sorceress and fishing out an old hunting knife covered in blood and poison, "I just though you might want to know that you were about to take herbs that have been poisoned with metals from the stream over there." She waved the knife at a watercourse a little way away, which seemed to be more violet than water should be. After all, I wouldn't want your trip to be a waste of time, sorceress." Eirwen gave a smirk. "And since I'm here, I could look over what you've already got, just to make sure that none of it's dangerous."

"oh." Selene was sort of put out when she realized that the sorceress was a herbalist, and that the pegasus that looked like a dragon was just a pegasus.

"Sorry for snapping at you like that," she said apologetically, when she showed her the herbs that Cerise had frozen for her. "I thought you were a sorceress about to shoo me off your 'territory'. I met a sorceress a while ago who did that."

Cerise batted at the pegasus with her leathery wings and raced after it.

Eirwen gave an oddy sinister laugh. "Oh, I've met a few of those," she replied, "they got worse when I showed them how lacking they were in understanding the herbs they so confidently claimed were theirs. But I can deal with you magical types well enough," she added, giving another almost malicious smile. Bran reared up and broke into a full gallop, tearing away from the dragon. "One more thing, Sorceress," Eirwen continued, "would you please control your mount. Just because tradition gives you a master hunter for a mount doesn't mean you can let it do as it pleases."

"No, she's not trying to harm your pegasus, they're only playing," Selene could definitely sense her dragon's will. "And also, Cerise is a gentle thing...but okay, if you insist; it's your pegasus. Cerise, come."

The last word of the sentence was spoken with magic energy obviously in the folds of the word. Cerise cocked her head to the side, listening, and obediently jumped back onto the shoulder of Selene.

"Nice tirkc with the explosives though. The only reason I've come here to get some herbs is because my money's running thin."
