I wouldn't say an Egg Manaphy is impossible to get a shiny for. Usually most WonderCards don't have a frame target that allows its SID to have the shinyness factor, but because the Manaphy is in an Egg, I'm sure the way to approach that is different.

It's still fairly rare, though.

So between five and six months, if you consider it comes out around the same time as HGSS. I honestly can wait, but that doesn't detract from the game's awesomeness. It's just not a game I need now or else I would die, although no game should be like that. :/

It coes out exactly four years after Diamond and pearl

HEY, WAIT A MINUTE.

(All dates are US releases.)

Gen V: 2011

(4 years of time)

Gen IV: 2007

(4 years of time)

Gen III: 2003

(3 years of time)

Gen II: 2000

(2 years of time)

Gen I: 1998

And yet people still complain that the time between Gen IV and Gen V was too short. Maybe that is because of Platinum and HGSS, but it was still a solid four years between gens, whereas Gen I to Gen II and Gen II to Gen III was less. <___<

September 30, '98 was the US release date.

Yes, time does fly. I was only 4 years old (my '98 birthday had not yet happened) when Pokemon first started, and I was presumably 7 years old when I got Crystal, which was released in July of 2001 for the US. In retrospect, I probably was 8, since I believe I got it as a Christmas gift.

And then I got all three Hoenn games, while also getting LeafGreen to alleviate for the fact that I skipped Gen I. And then I got Diamond, and then SoulSilver, and soon-to-be Black.

I do believe, twenty years down the road, I'll be the only parent who still avidly plays Pokemon. =)

(I'm going to instill in my kids a love for Nintendo and their beautiful works of art.)

So I decided to do a lulzy run of diamond. I got to Eterna forest thinking, since it's a wild double battle maybe I can get a shiny easier. ;D

So I do about 900 encounters and decide to hit the hay after one final try, when a shiny Budew appears. I would've taken any other pokemon, Murkrow, Wurmple, Buneary, but no it had to be a Budew, when I already had a shiny Roselia in another game.

Oh well, I knock out the Chansey, and Wurmple and go to sleep happy with a Shiny Budew.

Oh yeah, bump.
