It is the year 2552.

We are at war against an alien species known as the "Covenant".

They are invading the Human colony world called Reach.

Reach is the home of one of the most important headquarters for the UNSC, and if they glass us...we might have no other hope left to rely on.

It kills me to say that we are on the losing side.

But we're not going down without a fight. Our new SPARTAN III Program is in full swing, meaning that we're pumpin out new heroes every day. And you're on of 'em.

 

Good luck, trooper. You may be our last hope.

Bio: The strong and silent type. John has worked many years in the UNSC for the SPARTAN III Program. He was born in New Mombasa, until he went to join the UNSC at the age of 18. The many battles have left scars all over his face. He has little sense of humor, and is serious even in light moods. His deeds have earned him many titles. He has been the leader of many squads, but he prefers to be a lone wolf. He is strategic, and considers every option and outcome. He also likes to use the Sniper Rifle, as it is "quick and efficient".

Appearance: He has short dark brown hair, and has green eyes. His skin is very dark due to the heat inside his helmet in intense battles. He also has many scars and bruises here and there.

Name: Magnus "Mag" Herrick

Bio: Magnus was "conscripted" at the age of seven to become a SPARTAN-III in 2531. He was trained on the until-recently-unknown-planet Onyx, under Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose. He participated in Operation: PROMETHEUS, and is one of the few Alpha Spartans left in the galaxy. After Operation: PROMETHEUS, he was called back to Onyx by Lt.Cmdr. Ambrose to help train the Beta Spartans. He was unusually soft with them compared to the other instructors, and he spent time conversing with each and every one of them, keeping their hopes up. He has become quiet and reserved since PROMETHEUS, though he used to be loud, friendly, and extremely optimistic. He prefers using basic weapons, such as the MA37 Assault Rifle, M392 Designated Marksman Rifle, and the M6G Magnum, though he is unusually skilled with the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher.

Appearance: His skin is unusually pale; he has ice-blue eyes and a soft face. His hair, red in color, is slightly longer than regulations permit, but he takes reprimands quietly, with a completely straight face. His face is covered in scars, due to his faceplate shattering on missions multiple times. A thin stubble covers his chin, under his cheeks, and his upper lip; he keeps it shaved, though never clean-shaven and never full-on facial hair.
